Without hesitation the moment the boss appears, even before they finish their threat, Fish has already launched the ENT bomb. They aim for the glass to shatter against its face preferably to send the concotion as deeply into their sinuses or whatever constitutes the sinuses for a fae thing. Fish then begins to sprint across the battlefield as the bubbles and water starts to rise. There aren't a lot of good places to get height.....MORRIGAN ( Morrigan Moonweaver ). The bird locks in on the fellblood tucking their arms back ninja style to run even faster. They scramble up Morrigan's back and onto their shoulders. Fish holds on to one horn while signing with the other. "UP RISE GO NOW UP FLY" They can't yell, but they do gesture furiously. "But also do not move too much. Fish needs to load a gun." They sit down onto Morrigan's shoulders to ride piggy back. Fish takes their musket from their bag and unfolds it to its full form. They cradle it against their body, holding in place between cheek and shoulder. The bird works the wadding and gunpowder to pack it in and ready the barrel. Before loading up the bullet, they flip out a small vial of a dark black liquid. Fish coats the bullet in this liquid before loading it up. Time to wait and see if they can get the perfect shot lined up. Fish did not want to linger here any longer.

Nothing here was making alot of sense. “Dead people? What are youuuu….Dad?“ Oh. She looked forward, and saw her dad staring angrily at her. Wait a minute, “But, my dad’s not dead?” moments before the apparition slapped her across the face fruitlessly and dissipated. One of Siathriah’s eyes narrowed, and looked back at it’s minion. What in the hells was she talking about, she couldn’t possibly know. “Pay attention fool, there is something coming from the water” The Patroness hissed. We’ll worry about that later. It would seem that this pretender queen had finally deemed fit to reveal herself. Good. Her master was trying to tell her something, but truth be told she was seeing alot of people that she wasn’t positive were actually there. Astrid she had heard earlier, so possibly not a hallucination. But why was the gremlin fae here? Or the leader of the Fighters Guild she met in that village up north? Or Fish? Her eyes squint at the walls of light going up, and the kelpies stopped, so at the very least her hallucinations were interacting with each other. Mori slapped her across the face, and gave a stern look. Gwendolyn snapped back to reality once more, and realized that most of this probably wasn’t a hallucination. And that giant hand was about to come down on her. “Fuck” She spat as Mori and the maids began running towards one of the Light-boats. “She’ll be fine” Millicent said, lifting Mori up to the shining shard as she gave a look towards a still stationary Gwen. “She survived the gut of Vulcadreus, she’ll survive this. We're going with contingency plan 14C.” (1/2/3) “Fuck this is really happening, crap crap cr-“ Another slap from her fathers apparition came from out of nowhere. “Get yourself together child. You’re acting unbecoming of yourself.” Fathers stern words certainly cut right to the heart of the situation. She was a noblewoman, and her subjects were in danger. No time to panic. Gwendolyn steeled herself, giving a nod to the once more fading ghost, and got her shit together. The mantle around her neck began to stiffen with an influx of magic. The threads began to stiffen and wrap themselves around her like the fur armours of the ancient north. Except hers had cat ears on top. A woman had some room for style, did she not? Cool mist exuded from it’s surface as she braced for the hands impact. There was more mist coming from the pools around her actually, apparently the water nearby had begun boiling without her noticing. The nihililacs sprouting from where she stood told her the boots were at least working, so that was good. (4) Only a moment before impact, did she counter with sending a maul forward to strike. It wasn’t like a hammer could do much, but there were other effects she was hoping to build up… (5) Round summary: Gwendolyn sees her dad's ghost despite thinking he's not dead. The maids climb onto a light wall. Gwen braces for impact while the maids unload on the kelpies. Action Summary 1 Mori - Bracing Gwendolyn to the ground with Mold Earth (Buff Action) 2 Jessica - Casting Swirling Vortex on the battlefield to coalesce the kelpies (Debuff Action?) Swirling Vortex You first clap your hands together summoning forth magic, then cause a large vortex to form within a body of water. The water will begin to swirl, drawing it in on itself and pulling things in the water towards its center. The pull will be extremely strong, pulling things, objects and even people into it. Once pulled towards its center the object will become submerged, being pulled beneath the surface. 3 Millicent - Wind Cutter once the kelpies have been grouped (Attack action) -Wind Cutter: You spew out a thick cone of fierce cutting wind. This wind will flow out from your mouth in a medium ranged cone, covering a wide area. Anything inside this cone will take several cuts and slices, feeling the impact of the quick moving wind. 4 Gwendolyn - Activates Mantle of Mists Defensive Mode (Defense Action) A white fur-lined mantle emblazoned with the seal of the Mystwud lineage of the back in silver thread. Linked magically to the forest surrounding her castle, it constantly exudes an aura of cold mist wherever she goes. A mental command can send large plumes of mist to surround the wearer for three post until it dissipates. The cloud will be large enough to hide the owner inside of the cloud, making it hard to find them. Another command can force the threads of fabric to unravel, individual strings reweaving and creating a set of magical armor around the wearer, and sturdier than metal. Taking the form of white fur armour with cat ears on the hood. Additionally, in the instance the wearer is hit, the aura of permafrost freezes the spell or physical attack. When blocking the spell, the armor freezes the magic attack as solid ice in the air which the wearer can use as a weapon to make one attack before it shatters. If the attack is made with a physical weapon, the weapon freezes to the armor and is stuck there for the next post, forcing the opponent to let go of their weapon if they want to disengage. When both hit preventions are used up this item returns to being a normal cloak. You can only use each effect once per topic. 5 Gwendolyn Attacks with Hallowed Redolence x2, (Strength buffed by Malik's Ambition) (Attack Action) Fire/Light/HEAVY/Soul Bonded (2 stacks of soul waning), Tourney Favour, Double Strike An extremely heavy, well decorated maul with a censer built into its head. The lantern can be activated to cast a soft blue candlelight from its head, shedding light in the immediate area. The incense within enables it to strike a target’s soul directly. Every hit that lands with this weapon creates a stack of Soul Waning on the target. At three stacks on a single target, their very soul in an explosion of flame that engulfs the target for a single post, causing immense pain as well as blunt and fire damage. Acts as if it has the heavy enchantment but comes with no additional enchantment slots.

Post by Shaa Rhunn on Sept 5, 2024 19:12:16 GMT -5
It seemed that luck was finally with the beleaguered Minotaur. Hso far he has been slapped, mind controlled, poisoned, deflected but now, he was finally making progress. He looked around curiously as he exited the portal which had unceremoniously dumped him into some sort of weird looking swamp. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the Gazablaak fight pits, Shaa was more than a little familiar with the trappings of the marshy bogs, no matter how weird they were. And then he heard the voice.
Another familiar scent. I did not get to feast on you before, but now I will have my chance to feast on your flesh..”
The hair on the back of Shaa’s hair stood upright upon hearing the bellowing voice. No. It couldn’t be. That gooey faced trash muncher, this is where it ended up? On his home turf? This was unacceptable. It stuck harshly in Shaa’s proverbial craw tyat his last encounter with the fiend ended technically in a draw. Despite crashing the fiend head first and ablaze into a mountain, it had managed to escape despite Shaa’s normal “ Don’t leave enemies alive for revenge “ policy. Crap like this was exactly why he had his policy in the first place. Especially with creatures who wanted to eat you.
Is that you, you pox faced Gnoll licker? The Minotaur cursed to nothing in particular. I thought you would have learned your lesson. Mess with bull, you get the…. Before he could finish his sentence, Shaa’s Fighters sense and geosense kick in. Something was coming at him, from beneath. A large swampy hand starts to form beneath him. Sensing the strike coming, Shaa digs into his extensive library of fighting tactics and manages to dodge the grasping hand before it has a chance to slam into him and grab him. The dodge puts him into a nice position for a counterattack when he feels the ground beneath him start to heat up. What in Ginma’s beard, did they land in a dimension made of soup? Shaa considered how awesome that would be but also how non awesome it would be to be part of the soup itself.
Instead of counterattacking the plant hand thing , Shaa forces a current of air under his hooves, allowing him to float about a foot above the surface of the soup swamp. The creature would need to do better than that to barbecue this bull. But, if it indeed was his nemesis who had learned some new tricks, Shaa had also picked up some tricks to end this threat once and for all….
As Shaa grumbles about revenge, off in the distance, a giant watery being rises up from the depths in glistening terror. When Shaa sees it, he thinks that she didn’t look like the thing Shaa had fought before. It kind of had the same vibe, similar powers but this was more menacing if that was possible. Just what in the world were these things? He takes a moment to quickly survey the rest of the group who seem to have their hands full as well. One thing at a time. Shaa would deal with the hand first then deal with the soup fan later.
Meanwhile, Dusty the Sandworm can sense that the Minotaur has vanished, severing their connection. With nothing left to anchor him to this crazy world, Dusty almost gives in to the forces that pull it to its natural home. But for some reason, this did not sit well with the creature. Was its summoner in trouble? If he was, it was against his fundamental being to just bail. Erghhhh If sand worms could swear, he probably would. With his last bit of energy, he digs towards the hole. As he gets close, the hole feels weird. There is some force pushing things back into the cave above. Dusty, feeling out the pushing sensation digs down parallel to the feeling. He digs deeper and deeper until he feels the gravity weaken then, pushes towards it, its wormy fate in the hands of the gods.
Portal,
Shaa- Molten Core (2 stacks), now floating permanently a foot above the ground

Action 1. Offensive move: The Azucena Counter-Unarmed Upon a melee attack being launched at the user, the dodge hit prevention is activated. A sleek, minimalist dodge towards the opponent getting under and inside their reach, the Azucena Counter is the perfect setup to launch a counter offensive. This ability has a two post cool down before it can be used again.
Action 2. Windtalker- Allows Shaa to float.
Passives used: Fighters Sense, Geosense ( he saw it coming a mile away)
Vulcana- successfully followed Shaa and is floating around his head Dusty- Attempting to dig under the gravitational anomaly to enter the portal. If unsuccessful, the spell will lose power and unsummon him from the thread.

For a moment, Hylltywyll felt his magic attempting to open a hole in the bubble wasn't working. Whatever it was, the shadow wasn't strong enough to puncture it, until he felt something else join it. The replicant cast a spell, just a bit of space domain magic to suspend the barrier for a moment, and combined with his magic, it was enough. The hole formed in the bubble and Hylltywyll scurried through followed by the rest of the group with him. He pulled his wall of light in behind him just before the barrier resealed itself. Hm. This one wasn't as easy to pop as the other one, but at least he had made it through without being covered in glitter again. He was starting to get more of a sense of what this thing was. All the overlapping realities, the map, being able to blink through it but not ride a lightning bolt. This barrier was some powerful space domain magic and only more space domain magic could affect it. Inside the bubble, there was a lot to deal with though. Others had gathered here and it was a good thing considering the being at the center that they definitely had to fight considering she was attempting to turn them all into soup now. The water covering the floor was starting to boil all around them. Hylltywyll felt the water heat up and let out a small sound of alarm before hopping up onto his quickly reoriented wall of light. With the wall of light shifted sideways, it worked well as a floating platform to keep him out of the now boiling water. He shook off his slightly steaming feet and glared at the self-proclaimed queen. Thankfully, the water had been hot, but he had hopped out before it burned him. His ink blight also avoided the burns as the inky insectile wings on its back began to flap rapidly, the ink blight lifting into the air. A giant hand made of plants and water grew out of the ground and started trying to grab the minotaur. He managed to evade it, but that wasn't Hylltywyll's concern. He looked at the hand and gave it a devious smirk. Now that spell looked fun. Why not borrow it for a little while? With some quick incantations from the small Fae, the magic the Queen was using was stolen away and Hylltywyll magnanimously gifted them to himself. He's generous like that. He stuck his tongue out at the Queen with a chuckle. Such self-important people really were the most fun to steal from and annoy, and he absolutely planned to annoy her. If this lady wanted ingredients for her soup so badly, he'd give her some. The boiling water beneath Hylltywyll's floating platform of light suddenly started to bubble even more as a swarm of birds flew up out of it, seemingly formed from inky black liquid. They swooped around and descended upon the Fae Queen, trying to pluck and scratch at her, cawing loudly and irritatingly. Meanwhile, the flying ink blight flew in with them, the creature borrowing a little of Hylltywyll's dark magic to form smoky claws on its fingertips to try and claw at the giant figure as well.

The sounds of battle and the sounds of joy were so often the same. If Morrigan closed their eyes they could almost imagine that the screams of battle and the screeching of steel were shouts of joy - sworddancers parading around in the air - the trotting of strange horses akin to an animal tamer’s show. One could almost imagine themselves at home in such a place. Almost. Ah, but there was no time to reminisce about old days in the circus. Though there was something to be said for the chaos of the battlefield they’d stepped into; it was a show in of itself. Kelpies danced across the battlefield, familiar faces across the sog-soaked plains. Their heart clenched when they spotted a handful of people being attacked by the fae monsters. Kvasir. One lunged and they flinched, unbidden - ”No-“ - Before dazzling light halted them in their tracks. Letting out a sigh of relief, Morrigan hid their expression behind their fan. How exhausting it was, to always have a portion of one’s soul dedicated to worrying about another. For all Morrigan was accustomed to being the parasite, this truly felt like a growth, an itch they could not control. Morrigan despised not being in control. Still… if love was a parasite then it must have been a symbiotic relationship, no? Knowing someone else out there was feeling the same way, that they would do everything in their power to keep you safe, too, because it was something worthwhile - not because they saw you as weak. … No wonder Kvasir so often complained of heart attacks. A few Kelpies dove for Morrigan, and they took a step back - their anti-magic barrier seemed to keep the creatures at bay, though. Not for much longer. Morrigan could feel it flickering, this empty feeling gnawing in the pit of their stomach; it was beginning to hurt. They’d absorbed so much magic it felt like it was eating Morrigan from the inside out, consuming them in turn. They wouldn’t be able to keep this up much longer. Something scrambled up their pant leg and their back, little hands and talons digging into skin. Morrigan hissed, flinching away, when they spotted Fish out of the corner of their eye, the frantic hand-gestures and the panic as the water began to heat up. "UP RISE GO NOW UP FLY" “On it.” Any other moment in time, Morrigan might be chagrined at the idea of being commanded in such a way, but it was perhaps a testament to how exhausted they were that they did not even bother arguing back. Alchemical wings took them both to the air, out of range of the boiling water. “You all will make such a delectable soup.” The voice rang in their mind as clear as bells, amused, as if she truly were watching a circus of her own. Flowing water below caught their attention as a woman rose from the depths, as beautiful as a painting and glistening with the aura of effortless magic. Through their arcane spectacles Morrigan could almost make out how the air stretched and pulled around her, as if accommodating to her very existence. Her presence was as grand as Sol City’s Black Sun Spire, plant life flowing from her hair, creating a canvas that was just blessed by the gods. Morrigan’s eyes narrowed. “Got you.”[1]Hate and envy came surprisingly easy when those were the only emotions you’d known. "But also do not move too much. Fish needs to load a gun." Morrigan wrinkled their nose, gripping their fan with white knuckles and thinly-veiled annoyance. “Just hurry up and take the shot!” They muttered while Fish set up their firearm. “I can’t keep her at bay much longer.”
But they could take the fight to her. Aloft in the air on wings made of false miracles, the Wizard of the Wastes stared the Fae queen down with hate as cold as ice. A frigid sensation, born from years of watching life from a small wagon window; from a wellspring of bitterness, memories of an unlit candle and of trinkets shoved in their trunk, from the child who sought to fill themselves with as many dreams as it took until they were no longer a husk. “You don’t deserve your precious talents.” Morrigan Moonweaver spat, acid on their tongue more potent than any curse. Raising a single hand, they pointed directly at her; her fucking perfect visage, her smug smile, her beauty, her grace, her amusement at watching the peons below struggle against her armies. Everything she had, everything she so coveted; all this power and she still wanted to expand into Charon, to take and take and take what should have been theirs. They'd rot in hell before they submitted to any queen's regime. “Choke on your magic.” They spoke like a vow. [2] “Learn what it’s like to live as one of the godless.”

With the boost of space domain magic, Cstrid’s spell helps Hyl break through the distortion. Reality splits, and a hole opens up to dump the group from the tunnels into the portal of distortion where… Things are immediately chaotic. Kelpies are everywhere, spells flying, and a golden blur rushes the battlefield. That must be Astrid. And there’s Cypress! Cstrid immediately beelines for the satyr in the center of the protective circle of magic. “Cypress! Yer alright! Ah, thank Avasha, I was worried about ya until Hyl said ya were safe. Ya gotta be careful! I’m glad yer alright. Provin’ ya can handle it!!” She throws her arms around the satyr and gives her a kiss on the cheek before looking back at the chaos of the battlefield. There isn’t much she can do to help except activate Buttfellow, so she does. Calling the golem over, Cstrid activates the runes on his surface. [1] Magic surges across his form and activates his combat mode. “Get to it!” she says. Buttfellow punches his fists together and starts planning how to join the fray, starting with a basic spell of protection, activating a coating of lightning that covers his form. [2] He’s about to exit the protective circle when things start going wacky. Running around the battlefield, Astrid makes a point to get struck by as many things as possible, and it seems to largely be successful. The golden aura around her glows brighter than ever, ready to dish out as much punishment as it has taken, but also to heal her friends if needed. Feeling the magic ready to burst, Astrid looks around and rushes to position herself in a place that lets her affect as many enemies and allies as possible. Then, the golden magic explodes from the half-dwarf. [3]Feeling her body buzzing with excitement, Astrid looks back to process that the rest of the group has joined, including Buttweaver. That’s when the massive figure of water manifests. Astrid pauses, looking up at this presumable queen. So the last big threat to Charon was a dragon of fire, and now there’s a giant lady of water. She ain’t scared. Then the ground at her feet starts to bubble, and Astrid quickly looks around to see that Hyl has made a bridge of light. She rushes over to it to get out of the water, climbing up to safety before turning to face the giant Queen. “I can bring the heat too! Get boiled yerself!” With the magic of her prosthetic still buzzing, Astrid holds her arm up, aiming it at the giant woman. The glow of her arm shifts to a threatening red, and then a spell fires off. Two giant chains glowing white hot with flames shoot up out of the ground beneath the giant lady and wrap around her form, searing the surface. [4]Now with her unable to move, Astrid takes a deep breath and refocuses her prosthetic’s magic. This spell usually drains a significant amount of her mana, but with her prosthetic, she’ll be able to keep it up without exhausting herself. The light inside her prosthetic shifts to an icy blue, and a thin blue line of the same light fires out of her palm before a powerful pulse of twisting mana explodes out in an icy beam. [5]Maybe they’ll freeze her in place. Otherwise this is going to be interesting. The other replicants on the surface continue being a hassle for the two dogpiled knights.

Post by Lord Sarne Sequoia on Sept 8, 2024 14:46:50 GMT -5
Sarne saw the two swinging blindly his first thought was to just parry the swings but Satne knew he had to subdue the two knights without harming them too much. Sarne raised his hand in the air giving a signal for Nordic, Naesala, and Vamir to come and help. [1]Sarne's sword appeared in his hands with just a thought. [2]in one flowing motion Sarne blocked the knight's sword with his shield steps in using his shield to sweep the knight off their feet. Swinging his shield low hitting the knight in the knees and then pushing up as the knight rotates in the air Sarne creates an opening to deal a blow from his sword. [3] Sarne rotates the sword so as to hit with the flat part of the blade striking the knight's head. Sarne knew there could not defined against that attack. The Knight fell and slammed onto the ground with a loud thud and a metal Ka-chunk sound. The knight's head hit hard and bounced twice the knight just lay there and moaned. [4]Sarne spon the opposite way with his shield blocking the next night as Sarne moved around the knight blcking the second knight's sword. Sarne continued his motion with his shield to sweep the knight off his feet, again creating an opening to deal a blow from his sword. As the Knight spon from the blow falling to the ground. Taki turned to see the oddness of the path she'd made as she was rebounded away from the portal. Frustrated, she wrenched at the shadows she'd been manipulating to reverse their current state. The bright path darkened to near pitch, while the rest of the area filled with light and illusory buildings once again. The gaping hole through the wall of the building hopefully would draw the others in. Taking a moment while the others caught up, she opened her pack to check on her companions. "Are you two doing alright in there?"Within the disguised box, Kamina wriggled herself free of Rina's shaken embrace and made her way to the entrance. Sheepishly, she poked her head out to answer. "We... we're shaken up, but still here."Taki let out a heavy sigh of relief she wasn't quite aware of, a tension in her shoulders and chest easing.. "I'm glad to hear it, try to stay inside and keep out of sight.""Yes, miss..."There was a resignation in Kamina's voice that concerned the Orochi for a minute, but she would have to address that once this ordeal was settled. For now, all she could do was open the path to the portal for others... and hope like heck someone had a key to open it, as others seemed to be doing so. Whatever odd effect the guards were under would have to sort itself, presumably breaking once it's caster had been silenced. Taki - 0/6 Wounds, 3/3 HP, 1/1 HP vs. Fire

For the life of him, Marion could not figure this thing out- and he was supposed to be a spellcaster. He can feel time slipping away like sand, shadows closing in once more, and the building panic in him did not help one bit.
The little elf chewed on the inside of his mouth, and had to remind himself to breath, regularly- and of course he smarted it, wincing when pain jolted out as he moved his tounge. He might as well keep his mouth busy, now, and a soft melody picked up around him. It's not a song with any intent behind it, not a spell- it's just something familiar, something grounding. Marion ignored how the bitten part of his mouth made him lisp slightly and pushed on.
"Thouen sky and dust, and mold... I call upon the ueaian dawn, and night enoth long..."
And as it picked up, the beat in his head and song on his lips, panic slowly faded from his chest- and Marion felt like he could try again this time. Picking up Idun and running forward, following Taki's lead, and seeing the entrance again, in a flash the answer came to his mind like it should always be there. Marion almost went and hit his own head for how stupid it was to forget, but the pain in his mouth reminded him not to.
"Open!"
It is just that simple. Space domain... well, he is really unfamiliar with it to begin with, and not to mention the oddities of how fae magic had looked. Marion thought about how he had gotten his head stuck in a knot trying to trace the weave of such a spell and that's not even the point.
"... let's go."
Resigning to a sigh, Marion waved the others over, and crossed through the portal.

Post by Lady Kamille Verlithax on Sept 8, 2024 19:23:06 GMT -5
As the fight broke between the knights, Hektor took a moment to freak out silently from his privileged place on top of the walking tree.
“Oh fu-! No, wait! Is he alive?! Disaster, poke the one that fell… No, wait! Get the staff back!”
Disaster calmly approached the fallen knight to retrieve the staff, passing it onto Hektor. With it in hand, at least he felt a bit more brave. The apprentice turned to Sarne.
“You okay… Sir? Did you get them all?! Are they alive?”
Mayhem, one would think, might still be running… Without even realizing the ones pursuing him had already given up.
Distortions need to be obscured in darkness. And space magic works too.
It was… possible. Seeing how she managed to get rid of the monstrosities pursuing her, she should be able to get in soon…
The Witch had barely finished the thought when she noticed the last two “WEF members” preparing to go after her. Everywhere she looked, it would seem like most knights were somewhat under control, so these two were the last actual threat from this side of the portal. Touching her inked marking, to her ear, Kamille sent another message to Fish:
I’m going in once I finish here. Anything I should be wary of inside?
Because she couldn’t imagine things to be going well inside the bubble… The Witch even wondered if she should stay outside to help people out? What would happen if they managed to defeat… whatever it was inside? Would they be trapped? Would…?
There would be a time to worry about that, and it wasn’t now.
“Kalaf, only two remain. Let’s go after those.”
An approving roar rolled in the drake’s throat, his nostrils flaring as he looked around for his next victims. Once again changing course, the great drake took a turn, intending to face the remaining enemies head on. This time, Kamille would let both Kalaf and the inked blight handle them, as she reserved her strength for what’s to come.
Kalaf approached the enemies, flying directly at them. The drake seemed to have some understanding of the Witch’s power, as he waited for them to enter the maelstrom of fire that surrounded and protected Witch and drake. The monsters would be hit with the buffeting fire first, and then with Kalaf’s rage: a column of flames spilled from within, aiming at a chosen enemy [1]. The inked blight also waited for the enemy to be inside the storm of fire to pound on the other monstrosity, tearing it apart with claws of pure black ink.
“Kalaf, get me closer to one of those distortions. I will go inside now.”
The drake didn’t seem to like that.
“Take care, little one. Summon me if you need me to eat the fae.”
An uncomfortable feeling spread between them - while the wild drake didn’t get particularly anxious for being separated from the Witch, he understood that was a very singular situation. Still, he would not shy away from doing what he was asked: once his first wave of attack was launched, he made sure to fly lower and slower, giving Kamille plenty of time to…
…Blink![2]
Kalaf feels her weight fading, as well as the storm of fire that accompanies her for now. As they fly close by one of the distortions, the Witch focus to, somewhat blindly, teleport inside.
…And given she was high up in the air, she’d rather not plummet from that height to the ground, so her next spell was to avoid that. With the fiery storm still raging around her [3], Kamille weaved dark, stormy clouds from it, into one that was solid enough to hold her weight [4], and magic enough to bend to her will and behave like a mount.
Riding on a storm cloud, parting the skies with a maelstrom of wind and fire, the Witch of Moonglade attempted to knock down the fae’s front door like a rock star would.
“What do we have here?!”
[1]Fire breath [2]Blink [3]Howling gale [4]Cloud Waltzing: Your mastery of air allows you to both ride along existing clouds and form one of your own to use as a flying mount as if you had master rank in animal handling. These clouds are solid to you and up to three other people or creatures that you designate.
Action summary:
Kamille Action one: Blink into the distortion Action two: Use Cloud Waltzing to create a cloud she can ride
Kalaf Action one: Fire breath on one of the remaining WEF members
Inked blight Action one: Claw/bite attack on the other remaining WEF member
Hektor Action one: Nothing useful, slightly freaks out
Disaster Action one: Retrieve the staff (arcane proxy)
Poe Action one: Hiding

Post by Cypress Springleap on Sept 8, 2024 19:39:12 GMT -5
Quick Post Summary:
Cypress is boosted out of the boiling water by a Stone Wall, before attempting to Ice Over the water around her to cool it down for the others still in the water.
It all gets chaotic. Not that it wasn’t chaotic before, but Cypress had been on the outskirts of most of the action on the outside; and oh, it feels so very different when you’re standing in the middle of it. Cypress’ hooves are grounded in the puddle, golden lotuses unfurling atop its frosted surface and releasing soft, arcane light that bobs around those who have joined her within the Circle of Life. A kelpie swerves towards her, teeth flashing in the glint of arcane light created by the spell, but steers away at the last moment. Her heart jumps into her throat, lashes fluttering as she drags one hoof back with an overwhelming urge to flee - run from the noise, the movement, the everything. With some uncertainty, she nods to a man who freezes the kelpies in their tracks; and she watches with wide-eyes as the horses and the pools they’re standing in begin to frost over. Gosh… the people here are strong, aren’t they? Then, a ray of light zips between her and her hesitance, and she throws her arms around her. Instantly grounded, she startles slightly, naturally returning the hug from Cstrid with a flurry of surprised blinks. “Astrid?” she whispers, ears perking. She realizes, then, that the others have made it, too; and a look of relief softens her expression. Adventurers are beginning to pour in from the outside, and with Astrid standing in the circle with her, confidence begins to settle in her chest again. “ I know - I’m sorry.” she apologizes, closing one eye with a smile and a giggle when Cstrid kisses her cheek. “ I got a little too eager.” She takes a little breath, smiling sheepishly when Cstrid continues; she giggles, snuggling into her shoulder before stepping back to give her space. “ I hope so - that’s the whole point!” Right as her confidence returns to her, it falters again; she blinks in shock when something appears in the midst of the portal - a woman of water, just like the kelpies - and… and the water underhoof is getting warm. Cypress blanches slightly; glancing down as the bubbles begin to pop beneath her. A long stone wall erupts from under her hooves without warning and pushes her out of the water - and although she flails to keep her balance a bit - she ultimately catches herself and glances towards the water woman with wide eyes. (1) The water beneath her begins to - or attempts to - ice over (2) to combat the heat erupting from the water beneath them.
Location: Portal
Action 1: SUPPORT - Stone Wall to lift herself and anyone who may need it out of the boiling water. Action 2: DEBUFF? - Attempting to Ice Over the boiling water in order to even out the temperature.

Mikael looked at the portal he saw and curiously wandered towards it, his creatures following close behind him. "What is this...?" he muttered the question as he reached out to touch the portal and inspect it no longer caring how it looked to the others at this point. It was strange that was for sure. Could this lead to the next area they were meant to go to on their journey? Or would it just lead to even worse trouble? He wasn't really sure but it had be there for some reason right? With that he attempted to move through it if possible.
Meanwhile the two animals behind him, Luna and Chesh merely watched on in confusion as their friend who seemed to be reaching out to nothing. But they stayed by him and made sure no one tried to get too close to him or stop him from what he was doing still on high alert in case their situation got any worse than it already was. Mikael glanced back to the others "I think this may lead somewhere new?" he said questioningly a bit unsure of it still but he figured it was better than nothing after all. _________________________________________________________ Front Flank Summary:Boop the portal Active Items/Abilities: none

“Good sir, I didn’t attack that WEF rider I simply was a little confused considering the circumstances. I mean to me it looked like they were going to attack my good friend. I couldn't have that. If you want an apology from me then I shall give it posthaste, I am sorry for mistakenly attacking my WEF Rider fellows. I mean you fellows should know about getting things mixed up considering you fellows have been trying to arrest people who don’t deserve it. We are all adventurers here in the service of justice trying to defeat whatever evil has befallen our nation. The least we should do is help and work on this together. After all, it doesn’t matter what you look like or who you are, the only thing that matters on this battlefield is that we are all trying to do good. If you would like to argue about this or arrest me, can we do it after the whole fate of our home is not being threatened?”, Javal would finish his heroic speech (1), trying to convince the Knights of Duros to calm down and try to help.
After hearing their reaction Javal turns back and sprints as fast as he can, the bottoms of his feet iced over (2) and giving his rush an added increase of magical speed. Nadia would follow close behind although not as fast but equally as desperate not to get held up by the guards. They didn’t have time to be arguing further, Javal could see his compatriots up ahead and begging to walk forward towards something.
He zooms through the dark passage laid out by his wise friend Shitakibo’s power and stands next to the rest of the group, eagerness and excitement noticeable on his face.
Javal hopes to walk through the distortion watching in total awe as the strange blonde-haired dendromancer fellow from earlier who gave the group inspiring melodies attempts to open the portal.
Javal Zarrias 1. Action: Tries to his his conviction and sense of justice to convince the guard to let him go and protect people. 2. Action: Frozen Feet Passives: Bull's Strength, 6/8 HP of Armor Nadia Sadrine 1. Action: Follows Javal with total confuddlement and urgency.

Post by Kvasir Sigurrós on Sept 8, 2024 22:13:34 GMT -5
Oh, thank the Gods, that worked. Kvasir sighs in quiet relief as the door Hyll opens proves to be just enough to grant them passage through the distortion, the shimmering veil of colors parting just enough for him, Hyll, the minotaur fellow, Astrid Three and her golem all to pass into the area beyond, leaving the pale glow of the mushrooms and that dismal tunnel behind– only for an endless expanse of more colors to lie before them, as though the foamy veil had shattered and left pieces of itself behind. It’s… certainly uncanny– a little headache-inducing at this point, really, if he’s being totally honest. Being vaulted back and forth between all of these strange sceneries is getting to be a bit much. Ugh. He’d love to stop complaining, too, even if he’s keeping it all to himself– he’s never been fond of bringing the mood down–, but he’d also love it if the universe stopped giving him things to complain about. He can practically hear the distant cackle somewhere in the recesses of his mind. A cackling other than the strange voice ringing out from all around. Kvasir furrows his brow as he glances around the area, intent on getting a decent feel for everyone present within this strange pocket in time besides himself and those he’d entered with: Cypress and Astrid, of course, as expected, and then Vail, who mercifully seems to be doing alright, and Fish, naturally, because of course Fish would manage to make it in here on their own– And Morrigan. His breath hitches. It’s a foolish thing to let himself get distracted in the midst of combat, especially in a place so foreign as this. Kvasir knows better. For all his mind is a misty wood, he knows well to keep it sharp where it matters, to hone his focus where arrows fly and metal meets, so he can give his all as a medic. But the heart seldom always subscribes to logic, and his is often the fool, and so he lets himself stare. He isn’t sure just what it is that hits him when he looks their way: relief that they’ve made it out of the facsimile of a kingdom? Fear that they’ve made it here? Some marriage of the two? Something more? It’s hard to know. All he really does know is that for a moment too long, he can’t take his eyes off of Morrigan, and that more than anything, he wants to be by their side– And then his thoughts are scattered by the harrowing, strangled noises of an approaching monster, and he turns his head just in time to see the kelpies that had hurtled their way run right into the barriers he and Hyll had set up. Right. Focus. Kvasir swallows down the worry nestling in his throat as well as he can, banishing it, exiling it until he can revisit it, turning his focus to the matter at hand– there are monsters on the field, and a strange approximation of a humanoid rising from the shimmering foam, and the water all around them is rapidly starting to shift in temperature, vaulting up from a tolerable lukewarm to what is approaching boiling: whichhhhh is a death sentence if he doesn’t move quickly. He casts a sideways glance over at Hyll, who has turned his wall sideways and– Ah. Good thinking. Kvasir lifts a slightly-shaking hand up, lighting blossoming through his fingertips as he guides the wall downward until it sits horizontally, settled at a position for him to clamber onto it. He’s sure to wait for anyone else who’d like to board to join him before flicking his wrist upward, sending the platform up and out of the water, leaving it well-below. [1] Phew. Well. That’s handled… for now. He’s growing more certain by the moment that he’s generated more glowing platforms in a couple of hours than he has since he learned how to– though he’s certainly not complaining. It’s proving to be quite the lifesaver. Still. There’s no relief to be found in a place like this– not until they’ve handled the source of all of this madness. At the very least, unless this is some terrible decoy, they’ve found it; and finding the source is the beginning to finishing it off. Assuming it isn’t… immune to everything they all throw at it, at least. That would be terrible. …Ugh. Kvasir really needs to stop putting that kind of energy out into the world. He pulls Laleh-Vahzgun to the forefront, squinting as he looks over at all the potential targets at hand; there’s no shortage of those terrible horse things around, to be sure, and they’re certainly going to be a problem, but the bigger problem is definitely the so-called “queen.” Given, eliminating the smaller problems will make it easier to focus on the bigger problem, but handling the bigger problem may just make the smaller problems go away entirely, and besides, that silver-haired woman and her entourage seem to be handling them– Oh, just nock a damn arrow.Kvasir huffs as he moves his hand to pull an arrow from his quiver, but he pauses midway– perhaps an arrow isn’t quite enough to make much of a difference. Not quite yet, at least. No, something a bit more impactful seems like the better move here. He moves to put Laleh-Vahzgun away, just for a moment, settling it into place on his back– careful not to disturb Lycoris, who shuffles onto his shoulder, curiously studying the area– and arches his arm backward, light surging in the center of his palm, until it condenses, gradually spanning into a long, brilliant spear of light. He squints, gaze landing upon the hand reaching out from the waters, eye set upon its plant-forged palm– and throws the bolt as hard as he possibly can, aiming dead center. [2] He scrambles to reach for Laleh-Vahzgun again, nocking an arrow as quickly as possible and aiming once more, firing it off so he can follow up the impact of the spell– the worse the first wound, the graver the second will feel, after all. [3] [4] He’s well-versed in the ways of the body, in its responses to pain, in the ways it heals– Kvasir doubts a hand made of plants can feel pain, but maybe this’ll be enough to tear it to pieces.
SUMMARY: Kvasir makes it through into the PORTAL, and promptly LAMENTS AND WORRIES some more, as is his duty. He is STARTLED by the KELPIES, but follows HYLL'S THINKING and MOVES THE WALL OF LIGHT to serve as a PLATFORM to get HIMSELF and ANY OTHERS out of the WATER. He decides to SHOOT the PLANT HAND with a PURITY BOLT and a LIGHT ARROW. The BOTANIST becomes the WEEDKILLER.

These eyes are given the ability to see regardless of how dark it is. This does not effect your normal eye sight and will not hinder you if it is bright out. These only work in normally darkness and will not see in darkness created by magic. - Controlled Immunity Gaining mastery over the human body has increased your control over your own body. You have now become resistant to poison and toxins, your body able to fend them off with ease. Any poison or toxic effect last for one turn less on you and will not effect you as much as normal. - Angelic Light The light within the celestial now flows through you, invigorating you and filling you with holiness. All of your physical attacks now deal light damage in addition to their normal damage types, so your sword slices, arrows strikes and hammer smashes all deal light damage, making you effective against those of evil and death. Your attacks that deal light damage now deal double damage against those who are of the Evil Alignment. - Morrigan Moonweaver's Eternity Ring A single ornate ring that is said to magically bind itself to your soul upon receiving the ring. This ring is not for you to wear, instead it is meant to be given to another like someone you love, trust, care about or value immensely. While someone is wearing your ring, they are able to read your emotions or mood, and tell if you are happy, sad, scared, etc. The wearer of your ring is also able to cast one spell, or use one martial/stealth ability that you own (is in your inventory) once per topic. They cast the ability at the same level you posses (Novice, Master or Exalted) and can be used without needing to be in the topic together. A ring can only be bound to one person at a time and you cannot wear multiple peoples' rings. - Life Spark Earring A small, yellow sun shaped ear ring that can be attached to the ear in any manner. Worn by paladins, clerics and battle medics to dish out damage while still protecting their comrades. While this is worn, if you healed someone last post, all of your damage this post will ignore resistances, immunities and hit preventions. - Inked Marking (from Hyll) The Quillomancer's tool of the trade is a small, glass vial of black writing ink, which all Quillomancers keep on them. By infusing your magic into this ink, you can place your hand on a target, transferring the ink onto their skin in the form of a tattoo of your own design. You can make three tattoos per topic, which are permanent and stay until the end of the topic, morphing back into ink when the topic ends. Anyone who has an Inked Marking will be able to telepathically communicate with others who also have an Inked Marking, even if they are unable to see one another. Those with an Inked Marking will also know the exact whereabouts of others with the markings, able to speak with and track others affected by the tattoos. An individual can only have one Inked Marking applied.

I have no cluse what do do with the main two: Keyke and Rosemary.
Clone 1 is sniffing the powdered mushrooms.
Clone 2 is letting things play out with the guards, perhaps a chance to mess with them will come.
Keyke is located in the Rear Action 1- Buff action: Windtalker Action 2- Buff Action: focus on Cloud Gazing
Clone 1: Interaction: Sniff the mushroom powder
Clone 2: Support Action: Calm Emotion
Summery: Keyke and Rosemary watch as Kamille blinks into the distortion, sigh before glancing around to look for others in the area, activating winds once more. Clone 2 with the guards welcomes the role to calm them down, accepting the cuffs. Clone 1 is curious and wonders how this now smells, perhaps a good stew or maybe a tea can be good for these.
