Astrid Stormstone
Astrid's Adventuring Almanac
Gender: Female
Age:12 13
Race: half-dwarf
Nationality: Dragon's Cradle
Appearance:
Astrid is a 4'5" literal child. Her short blonde hair is typically pulled back into low pigtails with bangs that fall haphazardly along the sides of her face. The first thing people tend to notice are two bright red horns poking out of her head. Typically one might find her with goggles atop her head, and almost always covered in residual soot. She wears an ill-fitting shirt and oversized forge gloves, boots, and a protective leather collar. The only article of clothing that seems to fit her is her pants, and it's likely she sewed them herself out of potato sacks.
Update:
After several months of adventuring, Astrid now dons a piecemeal set of armor. The chest plate is a stormy blue which is difficult to focus on and seems to be in three places at once. She wears a cape made from the skin of a Displacer Beast. The beast's two spiked tentacles swing freely on either side of her, though the spiked are blunted to avoid a painful mishap. She has oversized gauntlets that have a cord attached that runs to her one-handed battle hammer. She wields this in her left hand. Her greaves appear to have a perpetual coating of some slime of mucus, but it's slight enough that one might think she's just especially polished her armor to a sheen. She carries with her a hefty two-handed warhammer which she carries and swings about with ease. The goggles atop her head are modeled after a bird's face. She also wears a pink skirt which falls longer in the back than in the front.
Personality:
Can best be described as a spunky, chaotic, ambitious, overly-friendly street urchin with a penchant for cool armor and hammers.
History:
If there's one thing Astrid knows very little about, it's her history. She has vague memories of her dwarven mother, none of her father, and despite living on the street for the later half of her twelve years (whether because of abandonment or simply having gotten lost - she's not sure, but holds out hope it's the latter), she manages to keep her head held high and proud. Her greatest ambition in life is to become a world-renowned armorsmith after seeing some incredible armor during a parade. Time will tell if this easily distracted half-dwarf manages to make a name for herself and rebuild her bonds with her mother.
