Hylltywyll
Unum Intenebris
Gender: Male
Age: ?
Height: 2'
Race: Faeborne- Dark Fairy
Nationality: Land of Wonder
Birthday: February 25th
Favorite Foods: Sausages, Corn, Fruit, Exalted Magic
Hobbies: Mischief Making, Larceny, Petty Revenge, Riddles
Appearance: Hylltywyll is a small, strange little creature. He has a squat stature, with birdlike legs, large pointed ears like a bat's, and a body that's mostly covered in dark purplish fur. Though his full height is a tiny two feet, he usually looks even smaller thanks to his hunched over posture and his scurrying around on all fours. What areas of his body that aren't covered in fur have rough, gray, almost stone-like skin. His fluffy fur is surprisingly well groomed and if you somehow managed to feel it, you might even say it's delightfully soft.
Thanks to his shapeshifting abilities, his tail changes often based on his mood or just for fun. Most of the time, he has no tail at all. Sometimes he has a very long, thin tail with a tuft of fur on the end wrapped around his waist, or a fluffy striped tail similar to a raccoon's.
His face consists of large eyes that are completely black except for his bright blue pupils, a pink, doglike nose, and a mouth that would almost be cute if not for the sharp teeth and small tusks that are still visible even when it's closed. He also sometimes has whiskers.
He usually wears a blue, poncho-like cloak with many pockets on the inside and a little hood with holes to let his ears poke through. On occasion he can be seen wearing a pointed, wide brimmed hat with flowers and thorny vines on it, and a wooden mask with imagery of stars carved into it.
He's kind of cute, but also kind of ugly. Some find him adorable while others mistake him for their sleep paralysis demon. Either way, he's just a fluffy little guy.
Personality: Hylltywyll is mischievous, as most of his fellow Fae are. He loves pranking, messing with, and stealing from unsuspecting individuals and even enjoys being seen committing his crimes as he likes the attention of people knowing it was him. He has a penchant for making deals with people that are typically one-sided, only benefitting him the most. What he can't get through making a deal though, he's not above just stealing anyways.
Curious and adventurous, he often finds himself in unexpected situations thanks to this, but at least his skittish, cautious personality keeps him out of any real danger. Loves pranking people, destroying other's property, stealing little trinkets, eating stolen food, and breaking and entering. If a situation his curiosity lead him into ends up being actually dangerous, he's confident in his ability to escape thanks to his magic.
Stubborn and a bit prideful, he hates being insulted and will take petty revenge on anyone who does so. If insulted enough, he might even throw a temper tantrum. He can be a bit childish despite being older than most living people and as such seeing himself as the smartest and most powerful.
How his mind truly works is alien to most, due to his nature as a Fae. He is fickle and easily angered, but his mood changes easily. He can go from growling in frustration to laughing mischievously in mere moments.
He's very magically powerful and is well aware of that. Magic and reality bends to his whims! Most of his magic isn't very combat oriented though, so he tries to avoid combat as much as possible, but he'll use his magic to mess with and prank people every chance he gets.
He enjoys compliments, but pretends not to. He doesn't need anyone to like him. Doesn't need friends either. Nope. Not at all. He's a proud, independent little Fae! He's lonely but refuses to admit it to anyone, including himself. He doesn't consider anyone his friend even if they are.
History: He's a menace to society according to the residents of Moonveil Village where he lived for several years. None of the residents know where he came from, but they'd be happy to tell you about that one time he fell out of a tree because he was trying to drag a bucket of water into a tree so he could dump it on someone that walked underneath, but he must have seriously underestimated how heavy a bucket of water is. They celebrated when he suddenly disappeared and didn't come back even though they don't know why.
The reason he never came back was because he found a new, more interesting place to live one night. He broke into the Villa of Lost Souls, the home of the Lord of Ghouls, Bellighul. Since then, he came to a rather one-sided arrangement with the home's owner and now causes chaos there. Despite all of Bellighul's protests, he refuses to leave. He also may or may not have buried a fish person alive once, but they deserved it in his opinion. Maybe the little miscreant's shenanigans will grow on the Lord of Ghouls one day. That is, if Hylltywyll forgives him for abandoning him in Sol City after the Fae snuck onto his wagon to go to a ball.
With the defeat of Ziev and the breaking of the Sol Stone, Hylltywyll's memories of his life before being trapped on Charon slowly began to return. He had been around since before the stone's creation and had come from a the Land of Wonder. Along with this return of memory, came a return of some of his more powerful magics that he'd forgotten he even was capable of. He still doesn't remember how old he is though. That was something he forgot before he even became trapped on Charon. He never was very good at counting.
Fae are not born with names, meaning the fact that Hylltywyll has one is strange. How he acquired it is a mystery that he isn't keen on sharing, especially if he thinks not telling someone will make them upset, which he finds hilarious.
Fun Facts: Hylltywyll is left handed, and very good at solving riddles. He loves listening to string instruments being played, whether they're being played well or really badly. As a Fae, he can't tell direct lies. Even though he doesn't need to eat regular food to survive, since he only needs to consume magic from others to survive, he still enjoys eating food for the fun of it.
