Eclipse the Sun
A Crescent Isles Story Event
Civil unrest has been spreading like wildfire across the Crescent Islands, with many of the local inhabitants being forced to choose a side. The Crown has been increasing its military presence around the region as rumors of a growing rebellion has reached their ears - rumors that hold credence, as several pockets of resistance have popped up across the outlying islands. The Oniwanban, a radical military group loyal to the old ways of the region, has been stirring up locals, turning against the Crown and inciting rebellion. While many agree with their cause, some have taken issue with their methods. Despite the Oniwanban's heavy handed tactics, however, the Crown has not helped in making any friends themselves, isolating and restricting movement across the region. Curfews have been established, check points at major routes have been built and locals claim that they have been subject to harassment from soldiers.
Grand Chancellor Lao, the right hand to the Princess, has been flooded with requests for help and assistance all across the islands, but lacks the resources to help the entire island in this time of need. He has put out an open call to anyone who is willing to assist, asking for allies of the Islands to step up and lend a hand while the Princess attempts to find a solution to the growing unrest.
This is a major regional event that will run till the end of the year, with progressing quest lines you can participate in. While this is a Crescent Isles focused activity, it is open to everyone! There will be three quest chains available, each with three quests that can be completed throughout the event. Part one has begun, with a new part releasing every two months and concluding in December with an epilogue and conclusion to the event. In order to access parts two and three, you must complete the quest that comes before it in a specific quest chain. If you have completed at least one quest chain by the close of the event, you will gain access to a unique event shop.
Trouble in Guandao
Quest Chain
Guandao is a popular trading and mercantile city located in the Crescent Islands. It is known for its mining operation where much of the region’s precious metals, including their gold and silver, come from. Tension has been rising since the Crown established a military out post there, leading many to believe they will try to interfere with the regular order. Over the last few weeks, riots have been occurring outside of the smithies and mines, threatening to stop production and harm the Island’s economy.

Chapter One
Quest Name: When the Wolf Cries
Participants: Two or more
Location: Crescent Isles
Post Requirements: 5 posts per person, 200 words per post
Reward: Ability to take on Part 2, +1 Renown
Description: Grand Chancellor Lao has become inundated with requests from the prosperous trading hub of Guandao City; supposedly, revolts and riots have broken out several times over the last month in and around the silver and gold warehouse sections of the city. The miners, smiths, and craftsman alike have all had grievances over this matter, all believing their livelihood has come into question. The Grand Chancellor has tasked various adventurers with discovering who may or may not be fomenting unrest in the city. All that has been asked of you is to locate one of the many people who have been the root of the riots. Question locals, investigate the riots, and get to the bottom of the disruptions.
All signs so far point to the Royal Office of Treasure and Commerce itself, possibly over fear that the Gold and Silver industry is gaining too much power over the others. Your investigation will uncover that the Crown is causing this unrest due to fears of the growing economic strength of the Isles.

Trouble in Hano
Quest Chain
Hano is larger port town located on one of the outer rings of the islands, acting as a key location for those moving through the area. With the increased presence of military patrols and check points popping up in the region, some locals have taken matters into their own hands. Ambushes on military compounds and convoys have been occurring at an increased rate, and there is fear that these acts of violence will cause the Crown to come down even harder.

Quest Name: By Moonlight
Participants: Two or more
Location: Crescent Isles
Post Requirements: 5 posts per person, 200 words per post
Reward: Ability to take on Part 2, +1 Renown
Description: Grand Chancellor Lao has put out a call for assistance to solve some troubles that seem to be occurring in the port town of Hano. The city itself doesn't specialize in any one trade or craft, but instead functions as both a major port and population center within the isles themselves. Its strategic location allows for swift trade between the isles and the mainland making it an important city. As of late the military garrison located in Hano has come under fire, either during their patrols or garrison being ambushed at random intervals throughout the city - some of their warehouses have even been burned down or ransacked. The current political situation with the Crown is tenuous at best and Lao would like you to investigate whatever is happening in Hano City. As is, the Imperial Garrison has instituted a curfew, door to door inspections, and has filled their cells with anyone caught near their sector of the City. Lao cannot allow such brazen tyrannical acts to continue but also cannot damn the Isles to further Imperial Influence.
During the length of this quest you can discover one of dozens of rings of Oniwanban agents causing disturbances throughout the city with little to no regard of who gets injured along the way. Whatever strike team you uncover can have no more than five members and while you can gain some information, such as the presence of other strike teams in the city, you cannot gain anything definite.

Trouble at Sunset Pass
Quest Chain
Sunset Pass is a quaint, idyllic village out in the countryside and is home to many temples, shrines, and cemeteries dedicated to the old world. What has typically been a calm, peaceful place to visit and honor the dead has become a place of nightmare and fear. Wails echo from the woods in the dead of night, as stories of ghosts and ghouls have caused the Crown to divert attention away from the area. Neither side knows who is behind these disruptions.

Quest Name: Howls of the Past
Participants: Two or more
Location: Crescent Isles
Post Requirements: 5 posts per person, 200 words per post
Reward: Ability to take on Part 2, +1 Renown
Description: The locals of Sunset Pass have started seeing apparitions and believe it to be the souls of deceased inhabitants who used to populate the area. Under order of the Crown and the Council of Travel and Trade, traffic has been diverted from this once populous travel hub, and the remaining locals have all but given up hope. They say that at night they can see shapes moving in the forests and near the old Mines. The Crown believes the Oniwanban are behind the disturbance and are using the mines as a base of operations; however the Oniwanban believe the exact same about the Crown. Grand Chancellor Lao is requesting that someone goes in and unveils whoever is behind these faux hauntings.
Your investigations reveal that neither group is behind the hauntings - rather, members of the Lunar Rebels, a group actively fighting against the crown in Moonglade, are behind the occurrences. It is believed that they are purposefully stirring up conflict between the Oniwanban and the Crown on purpose, as a war between the two only benefits their cause in Moonglade.
