Summer Creation Contest It is time to celebrate the Summer Season with a new, jam packed Creation Contest! We will be doing a new creation activity with three different topics to create something for, running for the entire month of July. Between July 1st and the 31st, you may submit your very own custom creation, following the guidelines and themes of the specific topic. There are three different topics to select from, and you can submit one entry per topic, for a total of three submissions.
To submit a creation, reply to this post using the topics template below, filled out with your creations details. Anyone who submits at least one creation will receive a Mystical Archive Ticket, however you may only claim one ticket, regardless of how many creations you submit.
Instead of a singular winner, creations that fit within the sites lore and themes may be used in future content, including lore drops. If your creation has been selected, you may not be made aware for awhile, so we ask that you be patient as we find the most suitable place for your creation!
Wacky Weather
The growing connection between Charon and the Realm of Wonder has been effecting the world in really strange and wonderous ways, affecting animals, plants and nature itself. Now we want your help in coming up with what kinds of effects this connection would have on the weather in Charon! Create a weird, magical, dangerous or whimsical weather system that would form as a result of the Fae presence in Charon. Be creative, stretching the bounds of reality and normal. Creation Template:Name: Term for the weather system Appearance: Describe the weathers visual appearance Description: Detail any effects or unique details about the weather system BBQ on the Beach
Everyone loves the Summer, the best time of year to go out and enjoy the world. All across Charon, people celebrate the summer season their own way, creating traditions and regional culture. While Sol City holds it's annual Summer Festival, the rest of the world parties their own way, and we want you to help us with some of the hottest summer traditions. Select a region in Charon and create a summer pastime, tradition or activity that a community of people would partake in. Be creative but be sure to keep it related to Summer themes! Creation Template:
Name: Name of Tradition Region: Region it takes place in Description: Describe the tradition Night at the Theater
With the warm summer season comes the perfect excuse to enjoy a night out on the town, enjoying delicious food, listening to famous bards or watching a world renowned play. Everyone enjoys listening to a song played by Bartholomew H. Newton, or watching a play put on at the Dancer's Den, and we want your help with some of Charon's best entertainment. Come up with an idea for a song, play, story or dance that would be seen at a local theater. We are not looking for a complete work of art, but instead a simple idea that gives the basic details of the entertainment. Creation Template:
Name: Name of entertainment Description: Describe the entertainment's basic ideas

Wacky Weather
Name: Colorstorm. Possibly has regional/colloquial names such as Colorcloud, Color Tumbler, etc. Appearance: A small self-contained circular pocket of wind, akin to a dust devil or a much, much smaller and milder tornado. Unlike dust devils or tornados, it doesn't blow stronger than a gentle breeze, doesn't pick up items larger than that which a gentle breeze would (perhaps individual flower petals and leaves, very small quantities of dirt or dust, etc.) and thus is mostly transparent. However, it has a visibly sparkling aura, as if a collection of glitter were among the small items breaking up the otherwise invisible wind pocket. Even with that, though, it's a lot easier to identify a colorstorm by the trail it is actively leaving (see below.) Description: If a tornado were a lot smaller and it were a harmless prank instead of a destructive or damaging force, it would be a colorstorm. To be caught inside one is to feel nothing more than a light breeze, but true to its name, it changes the colors of everything caught inside it. The ground, the plants, even people and animals; to be hit by a colorstorm is to have all of one's colors changed. The colors seem to be utterly random; one can tell when a colorstorm has been through an area by seeing a rainbow-colored trail cutting through an otherwise ordinary patch of ground, as if each indivudal blade of grass it touched was recolored into something else at random. The effect cannot be cured or undone prematurely by any currently known means, but it will naturally fade away on its own after a period of 1-3 days. It's utterly harmless, but having rainbow-colored skin and hair and whatever else for the next little while might make for some... curious looks and comments.

Wacky Weather Name: Green Shower Appearance: A quick, sudden scattering of seeds that seem to drop out of nowhere. Description: Also known as a Sprout Spout or, less popularly, a Seed Drizzle. With no clouds in the sky, and no apparent reason, it sometimes suddenly rains various seeds and nuts of different plants. Whether this is some kind of Fae prank or some unfelt wind carrying these seeds from somewhere else, it can’t be completely natural considering the fallen seeds that managed to land on the ground begin to rapidly sprout and grow into plants. Very annoying when a bunch of weeds suddenly get dropped into one’s painstakingly crafted garden or carefully tended fields. It can be kind of nice though when those seeds begin to grow crops, somewhere else. BBQ on the Beach Name: Melon Chucking Festival Region: King’s Valley Description: Every year, the different denizens of King’s Valley watch in amazement as melons fly over the fields gracefully before crashing down onto the grass with a satisfying splat. Participants compete to see who can launch a melon the farthest. Whether they use an obsolete siege engine to launch it, fire it from a technologically superior cannon, or use good old fashioned muscle to throw it with all their might, whoever sends their melon the farthest wins the glory of being named Melon Lord until next year’s competition. Those who aren’t competing can still enjoy the festival by watching those melons soar and eating and drinking plenty of watermelon-centric foods and cool drinks. Night at the Theater Name: Hoof Dancing Region: King’s Valley Description: A type of dance that’s mostly performed by those with hooves for feet, such as Minotaurs, Satyrs, and Centaurs, though non-hooved races can also perform this type of dance by wearing metal-soled or wooden shoes to imitate having hard hooves, or have their own dance using talons or claws. By tapping and stomping different parts of their hooves on the ground quickly, the dance produces rhythmic sounds at the same time. There are different variations, subgenres, and favorite dances among different villages. Some prefer slower, more powerful stomps paired with chanting or clapping, while some prefer quick light taps without any other sounds, the dancer most often holding their hands behind their back and keeping their upper body as motionless as possible. Centaurs who are especially skilled can even use all four of their hooves to dance at the same time, making for some incredible performances.
