Looking down at her map, Elvira neared the edge of the Shadewood Forest. She had heard cries of massive spiders breaking free from their normal territory and terrorizing the travelers and villages. Having lived all her life in Moonglade, she felt that she needed to handle this personally. She was worried, however, about having to get in close with these spiders.
Looking around, she sees the telltale signs of the spiders. Large, erratic tracks, remnants of webs with bits of some unlucky prey, and the downed bushes and brush. She shakes her head as she notes the tracks lead outwards, rather than into the Shadewood Forest.
Beginning the trek to follow these tracks, she gets lost in her thoughts. She hoped, nay, she prayed that these spiders were not ruining the Stargazer Village. She understood, however, that these beasts were merely following their instincts. It seemed that all of the creatures in Charon had been displaced, or at the very least acting strangely, since Vulcadreaus. All those people had been, too. She wondered how Tatalia was doing, though.
Suddenly, she heard the rustling of leaves in the nearby brush. She quickly took out her bow and nocked an arrow, aiming it at the sound. She steeled herself for whatever was on the way, preparing for a massive fight with a giant spider. Pulling back on the arrow, both it and the bow began to glow with a holy light. "Just peek out now, it'll be over soon..."

“Spiders, hmph”, a dhampir scoffs taking a look at his notes as he continues making his way through the shadewood.
He had heard rumblings from a tavern he visited that his fellow Moongladers were having some trouble. Determined to keep his home safe as well as being promised a reward by a local village chief he moved forward. The man wasn’t particularly formidable in the art of combat however he was confident in the fact he could drive them away with his wit alone. After all, what were a few giant spiders to worry about? All they were were regular spiders but bigger. The man, still the cautious type, decided to push his confidence aside and take this job carefully and slowly. He glanced around at his surroundings these fuckers had decided to make this place their home already as seen by the webs and messed up trees and bushes. Suddenly as he continues to walk forward and investigate, still pondering over the best way to deal with these spiders, he hears a voice call out for him.
He quickly calls out, “Woah woah hold on there”, and steps forward holding his hands grasping his notebook and pen in the air, “Calm down I’m just a simple adventurer walking around these parts. I don’t intend you any harm, the only thing I intend on hurting are the recent pests that made this place a mess I promise”.
Quest Name: Spiders, Again
Participants: Two or more
Location: Moonglade
Post Requirements: 6 posts per person, 200 words per post
Reward: +1 Renown, Choice of 2 Common crafting materials
Description: Giant spiders have always been an issue in Moonglade, and are a constant threat for anyone brave enough to enter the Shadewood. However, the recent disturbance in Charon's primordial energy has affected most wildlife, causing them to behave unnaturally. Swarms of giant spiders have recently been seen roaming around outside the Shadewood, even crossing into villages and established homesteads. We need help in corralling these spiders back into the Shadewood, or flat out killing them, whatever helps keep the citizens of Moonglade safe.

The movement was in her sights. Taking a kneel, the elf steels herself once more for the fight to come. She begins to plan out the fight, thinking to herself. "Let the arrow fly, if it runs, it should go back to it's nest most likely. Follow the blood trail, find the rest. I will devise a plan once I get there. I want to try to do as little harm to these creatures as possible."
The movement was growing closer, and she was just about to let the arrow fly when she sees... a notebook? "Oh gods, that's a man," she thinks to herself. With a few curses under her breath she quickly backs the tension down on the string and quivers her arrow. After this, she jumps to her feet and begins jogging up to the man. "Gods, my apologies. I am on a mission to hunt the spiders for my people. Are you alright? What in Lunala's name are you doing out here with the threat of spiders?!? Gods, I nearly shot you, dear!"
With a huff, she relaxes. "Pardon me, that is my fault, truthfully, for being so quick to the draw. Allow me to restart. I am Elvira, Wandering Cleric of Lunala. I hail from the Temple of the Moon in Eclipse City. My role is to protect those across Charon, heal those who I can, and guide the spirits of those I cannot into the afterlife. Who might you be?"
The elf stood calmly, now that the adrenaline of nearly shooting an innocent man had washed off of her. She wore her robes, a monochrome set of robes with red trim and golden vines embroidered into the black panels of cloth. Her hood was down, allowing her pale lavender face to be seen. The white hair with dark gray streaks spilled out over her shoulders, contrasting heavily with the intense blue of her eyes. Under her chin, swirls of darkened purple skin flowed like smoke frozen in time. Her lips were upturned into a soft smile as she awaited the response of the man in front of her.

Raoul lets out a great sigh as the woman drops her aim down, relieved he wasn’t going to get an arrow to the head. He was expecting to go against spiders, not an actual person out here. He is still wary of the stranger and takes a step back as they approach him, placing his notebook and pen into his pockets and proceeding with caution.
“I’m alright don’t worry I mean that’s not exactly an unfamiliar reaction to me considering how I appear”, the dhampir chuckles trying to lighten the situation, “I’m here on the same mission of clearing out these spiders from my home as well what a coincidence”.
He calms down seeing that the woman truly seemed apologetic and sorry, “It’s fine like I said don’t worry about it considering where we are at and how I look I would have considered you a little weird if caution wasn’t your first instinct”.
He gives the lady a slight bow before rising, “It’s a pleasure to meet you Elvira, it appears I have met someone with an incredibly noble goal. My name is Ardelean, Raoul O. Ardelean, I’m not as titled as you are. I'm simply just a traveling dhampir detective solving crimes and helping out wherever I can. Uhhh ;et me think of anything interesting to match such a good introduction, well I was a pirate for a time I suppose that's interesting”.
Raoul was aware that considering what he was many people would take meeting him the wrong way. He was accustomed to the usual garlic being thrown, people trying to attack him with wooden stakes, and the such so he was hoping that this kind Elvira woman would be of the reasonable sort.
