Renown System
The world of Charon is filled with heroes, villains and brave adventurers roaming the land trying to make a name for themselves. The life of an adventurer can be fun and rewarding, saving villages, helping citizens and earning a fair amount of Solars.
Eventually, you go from a day to day helper to a full on hero, your name ringing out through tavern halls and tales of your adventures sung about in songs. As you earn a reputation across Charon, its citizens begin to recognize your name, earning you fame or infamy throughout the land.
The Renown System aims to reward you for your hard work, giving you the chance to explore the world further, leaving your name behind for generations to come. The Renown System gives you access to a variety of new systems and quests to participate in.

Earning Renown
So, what is Renown and how do you earn it?
Renown is a unique type of collectible which you earn over time by completing special missions, events or activities that specifically reward Renown. This system is completely optional, one may decide the life of being a normal adventurer suits them, however for those looking to go deeper, this system allows you to do so.
The Renown Quest Board is where you can find several quests to be be picked up and completed. Each quest needs to be completed as its own topic. Quests have certain requirements in order to be considered complete which are stated in the quest details. When you complete the requirements of a quest, you can turn in the quest by creating a Shop Transaction post to earn Renown.
Other events may reward Renown in addition to other rewards.

Key things to keep in mind about earning and collecting Renown:
- You can only complete a specific Renown quest once per character.
- When you turn in a quest, ensure you include the link to the topic and link to all the participants in the topic who have met the quest requirements.
- Renown is tracked in the Character Database and Renown Tracking, but you should keep your own record in your Inventory Page or Character Journal in case there are any discrepancies.
- This system is optional, however you can only gain access to higher tier quests and other associated systems by participating.
Claiming a new Renown Tier
If you are claiming a new RENOWN TIER (Tradesfolk, Dignitary, Noble), you must make a purchase thread at the Sales Counter including links to all your sources of earned renown (completed quest threads, of-the-months, creation contests, event participation, etc.). Once you have created this thread claiming a new renown tier, you can start quests for that tier. When purchases are fulfilled you will be assigned your new renown tier on your account.
If you do a quest you are not in the correct tier for, you cannot claim any rewards for that quest and must note that at the time of turning in that quest.
What do I get with my Renown?
As you earn Renown, you eventually move through different tiers which gives you access to new systems, quests, and resources. The tiers and what they allow can be found below.
Tier One: Adventurer (0-5 Renown)
Everyone, regardless of if you participate in this system or not, is considered to be an adventurer, that is the starting level for everyone. As you complete quest and earn Renown you slowly move up the ranks, your name becoming more recognizable amongst the people of Charon. At this level there are no rewards, your job simply being to earn your way into society.
Tier Two: Tradesfolk (6-13 Renown)
When you have earned 6 Renown, your social standing and influence are leveled up, earning you the title of Tradesfolk. You have made a name for yourself and more people are not only starting to recognize you but respect you. As a Tradesfolk you gain access to new functions that normal adventurers would normally not be able to have.
You gain access to the following:
- Access to the Political System if you also own a Home
- Access to the tier two Political Quests if you are part of the Political System
- Access to Item Crafting in the Blacksmith System
Tier Three: Dignitary (14-23 Renown)
When you have earned 14 Renown you are officially recognized as a Dignitary of the realm. Your accomplishments are spread through out Charon earning you the respect of nobles and high ranking officials. Because of this you have now gained access to deeper and more important functions, allowing you to exert your influence across Charon even more.
You gain access to the following:
- Access to the Political System if you also own a Home
- Access to the tier three Political Quests if you are part of the Political System
- Access to Item Reforming and Item Fusion in the Blacksmith System
Tier Four: Noble (24+ Renown)
When you have obtained a total of 24 Renown you have finally reached the top, the pinnacle of society. You have earned the prestigious title of Noble, having spread your power and influence across the entire nation. Leaders come to you for advice, common adventurers idolize you and the realm depends on you for their protection and their progress.
You gain access to the following:
- Access to the Political System if you also own a Home
- Access to the tier four Political Quests if you are part of the Political System
- Access to a Noble exclusive shop and Guild Creation in the Blacksmith System
