Blacksmith System The Blacksmith is a smaller sub feature of our Renown System, one that you gain access to after reaching Tradesfolk, tier two Renown. The Blacksmith lets you access new features and options for your character, including access to the Crafting System, item reforming, fusion, and more. As you earn favor and reputation across Charon in the form of Renown, the blacksmith is willing to provide you with more options and features, letting you use their tools and facilities.Getting Started Create your own topic with Character's Name Forge (ie. Otto's Forge) within the Blacksmith sub board and use replies within that topic for all your crafting needs. Staff will then work with you to create the item you want.
Certain functions of the Blacksmith System cost Solars in order to complete which is described in the table below. | You can take one item you posses that has an enchantment or ability (this includes reward items) and break that item down, fully destroying it. | You can take two items you own and fuse them together (with staff approval) to create a brand new item. The items can be anything as long as you own them both. The final form of the combined item must appear some how similar to its combined parts. Item Reforming Unlocked at Renown Tier Three: Dignitary
Item Reforming is a unique feature that allows you to transform one item into another, or lets you take one item, break it down and keep its abilities as enchantments to transfer over to a new item. There are a few rules to follow when reforming which can be found below along with the template needed when reforming an item. Item Reforming Rules
- Item Reforming costs 50 Solars
- NPCs minions, pets, mounts or other types of NPCs cannot be reformed
- Spells, Martial and Stealth Abilities cannot be reformed
- Reformed Items can be traded between characters and players as long as the character receiving it can use it
- An item can only be reformed or broken down once
Transforming an item To transform an item, you pick one item you own, then turn it into a completely different item, keeping any abilities or enchantments that were on the item. This allows you to take an item that you may not want/intend to use, such as a sword, and turn it into an item you would use, such as a bow, keeping all abilities attached to the item.

Transforming Example Old Item: Dagger of Torment (Dagger) New Item: Bow of Torment (Bow Enchantments/Abilities: -Enchantment- Serrated -Ability- In addition the injured targets mind will be filled with horrifying images of pain and death, they will watch the death of the spirit who's soul is trapped in the blade, violent and bloody scenes playing out in their mind for a single post. Description: The effect of the Dagger are now applied to the ammo being used through the bow.
Breaking an Item Down To break down an item, you choose which item you own that you want to destroy and harvest its abilities from. The item itself gets destroyed, becoming completely useless (You lose the item) however you will keep any enchantments or abilities that were attached to the item. These abilities become normal enchantments that you can then apply to other weapons or items.

Item Fusion Unlocked at Renown Tier Three: Dignitary Item Fusion is the ability to take two items you own and fuse them together, creating a brand new item with the abilities or effects of the fused items. Only two items can be fused together, and once an item is fused, it cannot be fused again (it can however go through Item Reforming). The rules of item fusing and the template used can be found below. Item Fusion Rules - Item Fusion costs 100 Solars

- Spells, Martial and Stealth Abilities cannot be fused

This allows you to grip dangerous objects like blade edges or even toxic material. These will not protect you from elemental damage however. Has two hit preventions and does not stack with other hit preventions on your arms. Final Product:Vainful Torment A pair of gauntlets that can not be cut through or broken and allows the wearer to deflect weapon attacks with their bare hands. Each gauntlet has a jagged dagger hidden inside of the metal, allowing the owner to retract the dagger at will. The wearer can defend and attack at the same time, using the hidden blades in combination with the protective value of the gloves. Anyone damaged by either the dagger or a physical attack with the gloves will have their mind filled with horrifying images of pain and death, they will watch the death of the spirit who's soul is trapped in the blade, violent and bloody scenes playing out in their mind for a single post.
