Beastmaster
Beastmasters are skilled animal handlers, spending much of their time in the wild or with their animal companions. They have studied various types of creatures, learning their habits and lifestyles. Beastmasters have not only come to understand the wild, but can tame wild creatures, creating bonds which allow them to fight alongside one another in battle. Beast masters come in a variety of different kinds, from druids, to rangers and hunters, or just people who like the company of animals. In order to purchase levels in the Prestige Class Beastmaster, you must meet the following requirements.
- Must have Master in the Animal Handling Skill to obtain level one and two
- Must have Exalted in the Animal Handling Skill to obtain level three and four
- You can re-flavor the creatures below as long as they mechanically work the same

Gotta Catch them All
You have begun your journey to tame a wild beast found in Charon, learning its habits, and training it to be an ally. You have gained access to a special quest that lets you hunt down a creature, tame it, and earn it as a pet. You can choose one of the creatures listed in the Level One Creature Table, and upon completion of the quest you will earn that creature as a pet. This creature starts with its Base Ability. In addition to the creature, you gain a magical scroll that can store this creature in a space pocket, allowing you to transport it and summon it again later.

You must complete a topic with at least one other person (they can roleplay the creature if they want) where you must track down, calm, and capture the creature. You can fight it, or trap it, or trick it, you just have to weaken it enough to capture it. Each person in the thread must post at least 4 times with each post being at least 150 words long. You have grown close and created a bond between you and your first animal friend. You count on each other on your adventures through Charon. This creature is now your primary pet and no longer counts against the pet NPC cap.

Rune Bear | Rune bears are normal forest bears tainted by magic energy, often from the land itself. They are resistant to magic and often hunt spellcasters to feed on their energy. They are strong, savage creatures that kill other animals and even people to survive. Woolful | Noted to be emissaries of Ginma, Woolfuls travel in herds across vast stretches of the continent. They are said to bring the blessings of Ginma if they cross your path, while attacking a Woolful is said to bring terrible fortune. Gentile by nature, it is easy to approach them if you move slowly. The beasts are most known for their wool which is used to make clothes that are incredibly durable. Hell Hound | Hell hounds are dogs or wolves made from fire and molten stone. Born from the earth, they have short tempers and vicious attitudes. Imp | Imps are infernal creatures born from demons and devils. They are known for having a playful personality with a side of evil and proclivity for mayhem. Geonid | Also known as rocklings and rock hermits, Geonids are small, intelligent cave dwellers. A Geonid’s arms and legs come out of a small opening in the bottom of its shell. A Geonid can draw its limbs into its shell and close the opening. When it does so, the creature looks like a small boulder. In this state, the Geonid can’t see and relies on its tremor sense to detect other creatures nearby. Their carapace shell is quite strong and valuable for stonework, resulting in the creatures being hunted to near extinction. The last remaining Geonids that are found these days live in the Frost Gale as it is almost impossible to find them before they learn of intruder's presence and hide themselves. Mephit | Mephits are capricious elemental tricksters whose idea of a prank is to kill you, or at least cause wanton destruction. They are elusive, tricky creatures that move in packs, attacking randomly and without cause. They are formed from chaotic elemental energy and can come in various forms. You have trained and honed your skills, becoming one with nature and learning the basics of most creatures. You can now complete the Creature Quest one more time and choose a creature from the Level Two or One Creature Tables, giving you access to another animal companion with its Base Abilities. You now have a total of two creatures under your control including your primary pet, with this new creature counting against your pet NPC cap.
Stage One
The bond between you and your first companion has increased greatly, strengthening your relationship. Your first level companion has now gained their Enhanced Ability in addition to their Base Ability.

Golem | Golems are magical creatures brought to life by pure arcane energy, sometimes created by mages or born from the earth itself. They are strong, durable creatures with powerful builds but can be dim witted, often attacking without tactics. Cockatrice | The cockatrice looks like a hideous hybrid of lizard, bird, and bat. It is infamous for its ability to turn flesh to stone. These omnivores have a diet that consists of berries, nuts, flowers, and small animals such as insects, mice, and frogs — things they can swallow whole. They would be no threat to anything else if not for their fierce and frenzied response to even a hint of danger. A cockatrice flies into the face of any threat, squawking and madly beating its wings as its head darts out to peck. The smallest scratch from a cockatrice’s beak can spell doom as its victim slowly turns to stone from the injury, only curable with the very blood of the creature itself. Kruthik | Kruthiks are chitin-covered reptiles that hunt in packs and nest in sprawling subterranean warrens. They are attracted to sources of heat, such as dwarven forges and pools of molten lava, and carve out lairs as close to such locations as possible. Remorhaz | Remorhazes are massive predators that hunt beneath the ice and snow. They can burrow into the ground and have a tremor sense that reaches out to 60 feet, meaning they can pop up from below a foe, bite and swallow them whole, then burrow back beneath the surface before you know what’s happened. Troll | Trolls are large and meaty creatures that like to live in dark, damp areas. They feed on livestock such as goats, cows, and boars. They are simple-minded and nocturnal creatures, hunting in the night for food. Trolls are weak to sunlight and will turn to stone to protect themselves, returning to normal during the night. Travel Across the Land
Your skills as a monster tracker, hunter and taker have peaked, becoming a master of the wilderness and earning a true understanding of the wildlife that lives in it. You can once more complete the Creature Quest to choose a creature from the Level Three, Two, or One Creature Tables. You now have a total of three creatures under your control including your primary pet, with the other two counting against your pet NPC cap.

The bond between you and your second companion has increased greatly, strengthening your relationship. Your second companion has now gained their Enhanced Ability in addition to their Base Ability.

Displacer Beast | Displacer beast are panther like creatures that walk on all four. They can have up to five long tails with sharp barbs and spikes on the ends. These tails whip around and are the creature’s primary tool for defense. Displacer beasts can also teleport short distances, using the blink spell at will. Phoenix | The phoenix is a large flame-wreathed bird known for its unique ability to immolate itself only to be reborn again from its ashes. It is revered in some cultures as a deity. While they are capable of flight and able to breath fire, most phoenix are peaceful calm creatures. They can be very dangerous if angered. Basilisk | A basilisk is a multilegged, reptilian horror whose deadly gaze transforms victims into porous stone. Elemental | Elementals are beings of pure elemental energy such as fire, earth, wind, or water. They are created from the arcane energy of the world and roam the world to consume more energy. They are powerful, dangerous creatures that can level towns and create terrible natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. Ooze | An ooze is a vile, gross creature made out of slime and ichor. They are sentient creatures who only have one desire, consume. They can range in scale from small to very large. Spirit | Spirits encompass many spiritual entities, including ghosts and specters. Being ethereal entities that were left behind after a creature died, they normally have unfinished business or a reason for not moving on. They can be calm, quiet creatures, but also violent and dangerous if disturbed. They can be hard to combat as most are immune to physical attacks. I Choose You
You can choose to upgrade any one of your creatures, replacing it with another creature from any table, regardless of its original level. You can trade one of your level one or two creatures out for another level three, or just replace one creature with another from the same level. You can also change which creature is your primary pet, moving the My Best Friend ability from its original creature to a new one. This allows the creature to ignore the pet NPC cap when joining you in a topic.
Final Evolution
The bond between you and your third companion has increased greatly, strengthening your relationship. Your third companion has now gained their Enhanced Ability in addition to their Base Ability.
The Perfect Pet
Beast masters have spent most of their life training or living with animals, giving them expert knowledge when it comes to wildlife or having a pet companion. The Beast Master can now fuse animals, pets or mounts that they own (does not need to be a chosen companion through this class) You can fuse two animals using the blacksmith, just like you would an item or weapon. You can combine two animals, taking qualities from both of them to fuse into a single, new animal. This must follow any general creation rules. A single animal can only be used once to fuse and can not be crafted further once it has been fused.
