Flint lazyily leaned his back up against the railing of the balcony that overlooked main floor of the warehouse. With a metal ping of his lighter he lit the first of many cigarettes tonight if the job reamined as slow as it at the moment. Exhaling the smoke from his lungs his eyes lined the rusted walls of the dark warehouse. It has definitely seen better days but the building itself wasn’t what the thieves were after anyways, it was the stacks of boxes that were towering in the middle of the floor below him. With a bored sigh he turned back around to check said stacks, hoping to see someone dressed in red daring enough to try and swipe them. Then at that point he could have some fun
Though to his dismay the only people he spotted was his assigned partner, a sharp dressed blonde man named Raoul, speaking to the owner of the warehouse. He seemed to be getting as much info as he could out of the man. The cowboy almost felt bad for the owner as he was hounded with questions after question, though he was also glad that he didn’t have to do the questioning this time.
Though Flint could feel his boredom hitting its limit as the minutes felt like hours and the hours felt like days. So with a bored groan he hopped over the railing, landing on the main floor below with a thud. After brushing the dust off of himself and waltzing over the pair talking, he gave an exaggerated yawn as he approached. “Soooooo, Blondie, are we just gonna stand around all night ‘cause at this point that seems the case” he asked jokingly to Raoul leaning up against on of the many support beams that littered the open area.

A night of calm slow boring security work isn’t exactly what the dhampir man would have preferred to be doing with his time; however , the job was offering a decent payout so he couldn’t resist. Plus at least he wasn’t the only adventurer that the nobles managed to drag into doing their dirty work. He entered the warehouse and talked to the owner, getting a debrief of his assigned job for the night.
“Alright, kid easy enough gig lotsa noble folk got stock and investment into warehouses like this here one. Filled with their goods and merchandise that needs to be kept safe and secure from whatever tricks those wise guys red rogues try. Pretty simple, have any questions?”.
The dhampir sighed before taking out his notebook to take notes and assess the situation begging his barrage of questions, “Alright so you said that noble folk have interest in this place, how does that affect payment that was already listed? Do we get docked in pay if the red rogues managed to steal a package or two? How dangerous are these red rogues? I know they're of the hooligan sort however I hope not to have to deal with insanely powerful foes tonight. I am not fully equipped to tackle the sort. How long do we have to keep watch for the night? Do we get paid overtime?”, Raoul goes on and on asking his various questions as the owner gets more and more irritated.
He finally shouts as Flint walks towards them, “Look kid just keep watch and keep the shit safe you’ll get paid enough now that's that I’m leaving. Hope you and the cowboy over there make it through the night, if you find yourself against something dangerous you’re on your own”.
Raoul scoffs out loud and waves the man off before facing the man that was looking at him, “Hello there”, before looking down at his notes, “It’s Flint right? It does appear to be the case, a pretty boring night seems to be in store for us at least I hope as much”.
