[Continued from Part 1, here]
Her feet hit the pavement at an even pace, running in absolute silence[1] as she manuvers through the back alleys of the city to avoid the guard that are in pursuit, taking care to create as much confusion with her movements to make them as hard to track as possible. Askr is still held carefully in her arms, at least for a little ways-- it works out, actually, that she lifted him up once they started their escape. One proverbial set of footprints made for much more confusion when two people were involved, which is what they had a high chance of assuming, given the nature of the break-in and the traps that were avoided. Though she is still worried about him physically (that was quite a fall), she does set Askr down eventually, slowing her pace to set him right on his feet so she can focus on carrying the pelts while the young person led them on to the safehouse they mentioned.
"Is it far?" she breathes, not even daring to let her voice grow louder than a whisper as they move. They were already approaching the outskirts of the city itself, but she was still relatively new to Darkveil, by all accounts. The last thing she wanted was to bring unwanted attention down on them, and potentially get herself ejected from the city once again. Not something she could risk right now, not when things were going so smoothly for a change.
