The forest. Even if its not the forest, its still a forest. Aconite couldn't believe that they accepted this job, it was proving to be hard and frustrating. Turning to a tree, they punched it, and then whipped their hand back from the pain. Darn. They waved their hand around quickly to get rid of the pain and noticed the knuckles were bleeding slightly. With a groan, they reached around in their pockets to get some bandages. And found none. Great.
Wandering around was not their favorite thing. So being stuck in a forest to find some random creatures that were needed back for some reason is incredibly annoying to them. "Come out, come out, wherever you are." Aconite murmured under their breath, looking around as they continued walking.
It wasn't the worst day to be out doing things. A little cool breeze in the air, the sun just managing to shine through the trees. On any normal day this could calm them down easily, make them feel at home. This was not a normal day though, these infuriating Woolfuls continuing to evade them. Aconite just then tripped over a branch and got a face full of dirt. They stayed there for a moment, laying face down in the dirt, giving up.
But, alas, Aconite had to get up and continue. They wiped their face off with their hands and realized now their nose was slightly bleeding. With another annoyed groan, they went back to walking deeper into the forest.
Jeez... How long have I been walking already? Aconite hissed complaints softly, glaring at the trees as if they were responsible for this situation. The trees did nothing. Of course. Whatever, they could get this done eventually.
Aconite wasn't doing their best, not familiar with this forest. Continuing to bump into things and get more small scrapes and bruises from trees and all different types of plants. Like they didn't want Aconite to go find the Woolfuls, and instead turn back and say they had given up. Let some random beast eat them or something.
This should have been their first warning. Even if the trees weren't actually doing anything to try and stop them, the way they were so disorientated and getting lost should've rang an alarm bell, screaming "STOP". But they were stubborn, and even if those alarm bells were ringing they'd ignore it out of spite and determination.
The next warning they should've noted was it seemed quieter. Quiet before the storm and all that. The birds weren't singing anymore and even the wind seemed to die down. But, yet again, Aconite didn't notice.
Finally they heard the noise of a river. But it sounded too loud for a normal one. Each step that brought them closer to it made it louder and louder, the volume increasing until it was almost too loud to hear anything else. They finally reached the river, and saw the Woolfuls...
...Except they were on a little island surrounded by a bunch of debris, with something on the other side of the river, stalking the banks. Looked related to a wolf or something, probably here for a good meal. There were 5 Woolful in total, and another wolf appeared on the bank. One against two. Aconite liked those odds.
