Vonoros stood in the middle of Crescent Isles ready to follow up on a job he was given by some mysterious guy. He told him that he was just a kind businessman who wanted to see some injustice be stopped in its tracks. There was a crime ring of fake magic shells being run in the city and they were making good money by scamming innocent people.
Vonoros sighed not wanting to do this job seeing as in some ways he respected the criminal's hard work. However, after receiving an upfront large solar downpayment he was forced to take on this mission for the sake of his reputation. He trudged along as he made his way to a market vendor area on the streets. If there was one way to start this thing off was to find information and no better way to do it than to ask the locals what they saw.
He walked over to the nearest shady-looking stall run by a lanky elf man with a mischievous grin on his face. He heard a loud exclamation to his right, “Come one come all Everybody's welcome to step up to try one of my secret talismans, some will even grant you great power”.
“Bingo”, he says before walking over.

Amidst the bustling ambiance of the Market Vendors, Lucius found himself immersed in an air of quiet anticipation. Clad in his ornate, deep robes with intricate silver embroidery, he moved with a sense of reserved elegance that contrasted with the vibrant surroundings. His stormy gray eyes held a hint of introspection as he navigated through the crowd, every step calculated and deliberate.
As Lucius meandered through the stalls, his ears tuned into the myriad of voices weaving a tapestry of sounds. The hum of conversations, the rhythmic clinking of wares, and the distant calls of vendors formed a backdrop against which he sought to find the whispers of the elusive information he sought.
The sight of a particular stall caught his attention, a space where mysterious talismans were being promoted with promises of hidden power. The words beckoned to him like a melody, and he was drawn towards the stall with a measured curiosity. His robes, adorned with gold and silver inlays and black silk thread, stood out just a tad, but his bearing remained composed and contemplative.
Positioning himself nearby, Lucius allowed the vendor's words to wash over him like a gentle stream. "Come one, come all, Everybody's welcome to step up to try one of my secret talismans, some will even grant you great power," the vendor's voice rang out, carrying the promise of hidden secrets and enigmatic potential. Lucius's fingers idly toyed with a small object, a habitual gesture that masked his keen attention.
As the vendor continued his spiel, Lucius focused not just on the words, but on the nuances—the inflections, the gestures, and the reactions of the passersby. He noticed other curious individuals stealing glances at the stall, their expressions ranging from skepticism to intrigue. Lucius stood among them, an observer.
Unbeknownst to the others, he was not just a casual spectator. Lucius was hired by an outsider, curious to the potential of these Magic Shells, and to assess whether or not their claims are legitimate or not. Help process those who lie about their products, mainly make a paper trail for processing them at a later date, and remaining as safe as possible in the meantime.

Adam's eyes quickly skimmed the briefing of his assignment from the academy, it stated something about needing him to investigate instances of something described as "magic shells" and to procure one for further possible research. He neatly folded it into his robe pocket and continued into the square; being used to the Sol city crowds made it easy for him to expertly weave his way through the bustling market place. However even with his experience with crowds didn't make them any less overwhelming for him, he took a deep breath to calm his nerves. This was the last place he wanted a vision to happen, too many people means too many fate threads and too many threads mean a panicked half-elf.
It seemed fate had a horrid sense of humor as Adam's eye glowed a dull gold, and the threads of fate revealed themselves for every single person present. The golden threads connecting almost everyone in attendance together, to him the area looked like a horrible ball of tangled yarn and the small half elf was right at the epicenter of it. He quickly pulled the hood of his robe up to block his out the vision as best he could, his breath quickened as he felt like he was about to puke. He had to get out of there as quick as he could so he just picked a direction and ran keeping his head locked on his feet below him.
He run soon came to a halt when he bumped into a figure, he looked up to see a tall man with black hair with white streaks. His attention was soon caught to his thread as wrapped around his own, along with a triton figure and lastly the salesman. He blinked as the pressure in his head soon vanished and he was seeing normally again, he almost doubled over as he let out a deep breath to reset himself. After quickly collecting himself he apologetically looked back up to the tall man he bumped into "My greatest apologies sir, I wasn't watching where I was going". He then glanced towards the salesman as the sign behind him read "Magic Shells", and he let out a small sigh as fate had brought him where he needed to be once again.

Vonoros walked up the stall and put on his fakest most naive sounding voice and said, “Woah there man you’re saying you got the best talismans and stuff even like the rare power giving stuff?”.
The man’s eyes almost flutter as he thinks he has already duped someone and says, “Why of course I have some of the best talismans in this entire street, no need to go to any of the other guys”.
Comoros then looks over to the half-elf as he bumps into the other fellow with black hair with white streaks.
“Oh how lovely More people to have to deal with in this mission”, Comoros thinks as he looks over at the new people standing around the stall.
The man then laughs as he says, “Oh we have a talisman for the clumsiness to my friend”, and looks into his drawers and pulls out a small porcelain swan, “Here you go, friend if you’d like you can pick this beauty up for two hundred solars and I’m giving you a discount here usually this baby’s about three hundred”.
He then focuses his attention on the three and says with a glint in his eye, “Well fellas I’m willing to offer one of the most exclusive items here in my shop just for you guys. I can offer three conches that are guaranteed to give you double, not triple your current magical output. These shells have been blessed by Salina herself and will change your life as you know it for the better. Now what do you boys say? I can bless your lives for about a thousand dollars each”.

Lucius stood amidst the bustling market, a place he would rather avoid. He preferred to operate in the periphery, watching silently from the shadows. But fate had different plans for him that day. As he found himself entangled with the crowd at the stall, he couldn't help but sigh inwardly, masking his discomfort behind a veneer of curiosity. "No worries," he muttered casually to the person who had accidentally bumped into him, his eyes never leaving the array of colorful shells soon displayed at the stall. "I'm curious about these shells."
The shopkeeper, seized the opportunity to pitch his wares to Lucius. "Ah, these shells, sir, are no ordinary trinkets," he began, his voice smooth as honey. "They hold ancient magic, capable of granting your deepest desires. Love, wealth, power – you name it, and these shells can make it happen."
Lucius raised an eyebrow, feigning interest as he probed for more information. He engaged the shopkeeper, asking pointed questions, hoping the man would reveal more than he intended. His mind, however, was focused on a different agenda. He intended to expose the lies being peddled here, to unravel the truth hidden beneath the layers of deception.
He formulated his plan. He would meticulously document the shopkeeper's claims, weaving a detailed report that dissected every false promise and fraudulent assertion. But he needed evidence, a tangible proof to dismantle these lies. His eyes scanned the shells, searching for the one he would acquire for his investigation. Lucius knew the importance of patience and meticulousness. He would wait, observe, and strike at the opportune moment. As he continued his conversation with the shopkeeper, he masked his true intentions behind a facade of polite interest. Little did the shopkeeper know that he was dealing with a master of deception himself, a man skilled in the art of unraveling falsehoods and exposing the truth.
In the end, Lucius intended to not only expose the shopkeeper but also any others involved in this nefarious scheme. But when it came to unveiling the truth, he was more than willing to step into the light, armed with knowledge and determination. And so, amidst the chaos of the market, Lucius prepared to play his part in this intricate game of deception.
