Lloyd had continued to make asks of him and others as he had come to find out that were unnecessarily difficult at least considering the pay that he had received thus far to do them. It could be better, but it was almost not worth continuing to help the man at all, however that was not the way, as after all this was as much about protecting nature as it was achieving the likeminded goals of some researcher with a penchant for oddities.
This time however he had been tasked to rendezvous with a group of researchers that worked with Lloyd and had been stuck inside the ooze trail of a monstrously sized Slime that had begun to be called the Elder Ooze. Word of its slime being deadly to most had already spread throughout the continent and so it was known right away that the people he and more then likely others had been sent to save were in grave danger if they were not retrieved sooner rather then later.
Preparing his supplies he had made his way on foot through the southern edge of Moon Glade before he arrived at the more rocky area that bordered the Marsh Flats, a massive path of destruction evident from the migration of the Elder Ooze as the ground and any flora in the area was destroyed if not tilled by the massive path of the Creature. The oldest part of the trail was hardened, but as he followed the path and the sun began to set the still active slime brought a group of people in to view, trapped inside of it like a road that was surrounded by lava.
Stopping to think for a moment he stood at the edge of the area looking over the Researchers he had been sent to find. His brain had begun to rack itself on how to tackle the ooze with the smallest margin of error, something that wasn't an easy task.
"This is not going to end well..."

It’s been a long time since Astrid thought anything about wild oozes, and she’s since even started living with an ooze. Though, she’s finding that her ooze knight best friend is certainly different than most oozes of the wild while also still retaining some of their more interesting qualities. They can be frozen, they can melt, they can eat just about anything. They’re strange creatures, and honestly, if the wild ones weren’t so acidic, she’d even consider them cuddly. That’s not the case for whatever monstrous ooze has made the massive trail of destruction through Moonglade. While traveling, she noticed the trail and went looking into it only to hear that some poor researchers were trapped in the field by the trail. Well, that’s no good, is it? What is it with researchers and getting stuck in dangerous situations? Then again, as someone who likes to learn things too, she can understand that. Apparently, another adventurer went out looking for them too, so she’s hoping to run into them. It takes some trekking through the forest, some walking along the crystalized ooze trail, some camping out, and a couple of instances of flying or walking on air, but eventually she hears the weak cries for help from exhausted researchers. And what does she know, there’s a face she hasn’t seen in months! “Oi, Tarkhan!” she calls cheerfully as she hurries to the scene, Spicy Pawsage the hellhound and Charles the Blixtbot TM in tow. “Didn’t expect ta see ya here.” Since their last meeting, Astrid has gotten some serious gear and a couple of companions. She’s less of a scrappy-looking kid and more of a real adventurer. Still missing a tooth from that grin though.
Pets: Spicy Pawsage (Dreadsnout) Charles (Scarecrow Squire) Quest Name: Oozegon Trail Chapter: Three Description: A massive elder Ooze has been spotted moving through out Charon, and leaving behind a massive trail of acidic, toxic slime in its wake. Many hunters and scholars have been using this trail to track the elder creature in the attempt to study it, however there has been no luck in ding the beast so far. Unfortunately a group who was studying the Ooze have found themselves trapped in the trail of slime and are unable to get out. The trail is 20 feet wide, a foot deep and extremely acidic, beginning to eat away at their clothing. We fear the scholars will die and any information they have gathered on the Elder Ooze will vanish with them. We need you to rescue them secure their data. Requirements: - Requires at least two people (you and one other) - You must make at least 6 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words - Must rescue the scholars from the slime trail - Must not get stuck and die yourself - Once you complete this mission you gain access to chapter four. (which needs to be a separate topic)

While lost in his thoughts on the best possible way to rescue them as quickly and efficiently as possible he thought that he could use Temujin to fly some of them out a few at a time, but that also required his boy to be.... cooperative. He had recently gone through a growth spurt and with his new found power and size he was.... uncooperative at the best of times. This was something that Tarkhan had hoped to one day break Temujin of but he was right to assume that it wouldn't be anytime soon. He then thought he could maybe freeze portions of it to make it walkable, or move the dirt in the area to try to shift a path, but he wasn't as confident in that undertaking, which meant he had no way of knowing if that would work or not in such a way that he could be certain the researchers would not be harmed. He could make himself hover with the winds, and then ferry people out himself as he was confident he could lift maybe two of them at a time. That seemed like the most reasonable plan as it were.
Beginning to move closer to the researchers he looked more or less as he always had, except maybe a bit more toned and jaded if that was at all possible. His concentration was broke as he stopped in his tracks though, a familiar voice and one that belonged to someone that he liked even, pierced through the air. Stopping to turn and look towards what he was certain was Astrid he couldn't help but feel in odd sense of pride seeing her look more.... grounded for lack of a better term. She was flanked by companions and had clearly experienced growth in the months sense they last met. This was something he couldn't help but be proud of her for even if his face didn't show it outwardly as he remained stalwart and expressionless.
Responding to her with a slight nod of his head before he spoke, "Astrid. Well met.... I didn't expect to see you either, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't glad for the help.", pausing to look back towards the researchers and slowly eroding land mass they found themselves marooned on he shook his head before he added, "Lloyd sure asked for a lot this time no?..", spitting at the ground he cracked his neck before he looked towards her again, "We could maybe see if Temujin will help ferry them but uh.... he is in a bit of a rebellious phase now. Any ideas on your end?", he would only bring up his ability to carry some out a few at a time if they had no other options. He trusted Astrid more then most but he also felt that some of his newer abilities should remain hidden to the world at large if possible given his rapidly advancing plans.
