Gwendolyn trudged through the icy tundra, midday though you couldn’t tell it. The wind howled through the trees as snow attempted to push her away from her destination. Her only protection from the elements was a thick fur-lined coat, and a small flame in the maul that floated before her. It had taken her a day and a half off of the main road to reach this far, and she prayed it was not farther to the source of this localized calamity. A week ago, a caravan had stopped at her fathers manor to shelter from the storm. Half of their caravan had been lost to severe weather, with one driver mentioning his wheel had been swallowed whole by a small snowdrift. A quick look told him it had frozen solid before the cart had even came to a stop. The event was close enough to her families property that it was worth investigating, and so here she was. The blizzard felt as though it were getting worse, she lifted a bemittened hand to cover her view, only to realize that conditions had deteriorated far worse than she had thought. Visibility had dropped far enough that she could barely see the hand in front of her face, let alone the maul that was warming her way. "GODS BE DAMNED FOR CRAFTING THIS BLIZZARD" She shouted in frustration to noone in particular. It would be nearly impossible to navigate in these conditions, let alone discover the source of this anomaly. Quest Name: Ring of Flowers Participants: Exactly Two Location: One of the listed locations below Post Requirements: 6 posts per person, 200 words per post Reward: +2 Renown, 1 Mystical Archive Ticket Description: Strange things are occurring around these newly formed flower circles and help is needed in understanding why. Unfortunately, as one of the first groups of people to explore these phenomena, we are unaware of any specific strange or weird side effects interacting with these rings may bring, so be careful. Study the flowers, record what you see, hear, or even feel. Special Requirements: Your investigations will reveal that these circles are not native to Charon and are coming from some other realm. They are Fae in nature and give off similar magical traces as the Fae creatures that currently live on Charon, although much stronger and more potent. Upon arriving at the location, you will find that strange things have begun to happen, not only to the environment but to you as well, with prolonged exposure to the circle increasing the effects. Before you begin the quest, you must choose one of the locations listed below to explore, with a specific obstacle attached based on the region. These added effects cannot be ignored and must be applied to your characters during the quest. White and ice blue flowers have popped up in a ring out in the ice fields. A nonstop blizzard blows through the area, freezing any water or moisture presented. Snow randomly melts only to freeze into pools of ice. While investigating the flowers, both members find that their entire person is completely invisible. All of your gear and even spells you may use are completely invisible and cannot be reverted back by any means. Lasts the entire topic. Traveling through Frost Gale Griffin fought with the wind and snow. he was lost now like most times in a new area. He had some to learn about new elemental magic.
In the blizzard Griffin was caught in, His hood to his robe was down some to keep the snow and wind out of his face. Just to discover that the situation had worsened and was more menacing than Griffin had believed. Visibility had declined that He could hardly see his hand in front of his face, let alone the trail he was following.
Griffin the land of Ice as he called it. being new to the area Griffin was intrigued by the phenomena of the Ice pools of flowers
He hated this storm as it was not normal. Griffin trudge on step by step fighting the elements of the wind and ice. He knew this storm energy was something he had never experienced before. It felt like hours of walking but got nowhere it was slow and painful as Griffin started to freeze.
"Enough Griffin shouted as he started to move his hands. A fire orb started to form in his hands. worming him as it swirled. Griffin kept it going as he walked. Not paying attention he ran into something hard it was large and women from what Griffin could guess by the shape of the person he bumped into.
His fire orb fizzled. Griffin shouted some words in frustration "Dam! I am sorry. Wait, is there something or someone there?" asked Griffin shouting over the wind and snow.

A warm sensation came from her right, shortly before she bumped into a roughly waist-high object. Gwen thought she had brushed into a rock or something before it started talking. “Gah!” She shouted in suprise, nearly jumping out of her skin and stumbling backwards a step or two. “Who is that!” Looking around, it was still impossible to see anything in this blizzard. Stretching a hand out, and waving blindly, she bonks what feels like a head a little harder than she intended for a first greeting. Short, maybe a dwarf or a gnome? She could only hope he didn’t have ill intentions. She had a hard enough time seeing normally, but she had never experienced something like this before. Even her nose was obscured by the snow. It wasn’t even the worst snowstorm she had seen to be honest. “I’m a noble!” She shouted, whilst moving her hand to the short ones shoulder. “Gwendolyn! From a manor south of here! What is your business? Do you have shelter nearby?”
She could see a nearby snowdrift pile spontaneously melt whilst she spoke, pooling into a small puddle before freezing solid once more. Odd, but that matches the description of the caravaner who had lost his wheel. They must be relatively close to the source. Did this person have something to do with it?

Griffin heard the name Noble then something like Gwendolyn. It was a woman's voice so were there two? Griffin question. The blasted wind. It was hard to tell what she was saying something about the south, what the wind? Griffin did not know. Then he heard the word shelter Griffin perked up. "Shelter!, Yes I need shelter!" Griffin shouted. At this point, Griffin did not care if it was a bandit, tribesman, or even a killer. To get out of this storm he would do just about anything. Griffin saw a swirl of snow spontaneously melt then pooling into a little pool before freezing solid once more. Griffin had been studying elemental magic and had never seen anything like that before. Then flowers started to bloom white and ice blue flowers popped up around the pools this was not a normal occurrence, well as far as Griffin knew but he was new to this land and did not know. "Noble, or is it Gwendolyn, Do You know where some Shelter is? I am about half frozen and probably lost," admitted Griffin shouting over the storm. "I am Griffin as I am called. A Forest Gnome Moonglade" He said introducing himself as he started to start another orb of fire. it started to grow slowly the storm was not helping build the orb of fire.

Crap, theyre stuck out here too. They would be frozen to death if they tried to walk back to the road now, shelter here would have to do. She let go of the man she couldn’t even see, and blindedly slammed her hands into the ground. The magic of her fiances ring began to thrum, sending it’s energy out in a circle. The wind began to die down as she assumed the blue goo based wall rose around them. But when Gwendolyn opened her eyes, all she saw was a cylinder around herself where snow was simply not going through. There was a drift beginning to form on the windward face of where the electric blue goo wall should have been, so SOMETHING had in fact happened. She looked around for the man, who was nowhere to be found. Pulling her hands up to her mouth to shout, she realized that both of them were entirely see through. “What the hells. Griffin? Where are you! If you can hear me, I have shelter!” she shouted. Whatever was going on was of the most unnatural courses. Gwen looked down at her armour and legs, still seeing nothing but the odd flowers that seem to be thriving despite the weather. Hearth ring > Goo wall

Griffin felt the energy in a circle around the vice and him. The wind began to slow down. A blue goo-based wall rose around them. Griffin was impressed with that But Griffin started to look around as the snow stopped blowing. All he saw was a Blue cylinder around Him where was this other person.
"I am here! Ser Gwendolyn" Griffin put his hand out to see if he could touch something he felt something cold and metal. He moved his hands across it. Then he realized it was the breastplate of a Knight by the shape told him a woman "Oh. no!" Griffen squeaked his face turned red. Gwendolyn could hear someone backing and falling to it's knees "Forgive me Ser Gwendolyn I did not know" said Griffin apologetically in a panic. "Do not kill me," bagged Griffin.
A pixie voice could be heard. The sound was light and delicate. "What have you done now?" asked the voice sounding agitated. "What have you found? I can't see anything," remarked the little voice. The fluttering of wings could be heard. "Why does it have to be so dam cold! Master Griffin." The little voice proclaimed. "Embers, I can not see you. Are we all like this?" questioned Griffin.
Embers looked a round. "I can't see anything except pretty flowers, Fea Flowers I think." said Embers. [1] there was a slight flame seen then it shot into the sky appeared for a moment then disappeared. Griffin was still on his knees when he saw that. "I think there is a range to this phenomenon of magic," said Griffin loudly.

She turned around to see where the call was coming, only to feel a soft thunk on her breastplate. A vein in her temple pulsed invisibly, containing her ire as what sounded like a lost peasant felt her up. Cannot be helped, as it would seem her new acquaintance was invisible himself. “Worry not, it’s fine. Are you aware of what is happening here?” She asks, before hearing a second, even smaller voice pipe up. Just how many gnomes surrounded her at this moment, she may never know. The voices spoke of the flowers, and of an aura of effect for this peculiar magic. Bending over to pick one up, she bumped her head hard into something solid. “My apologies, but it would seem that we are even now.” Said, as she massaged the bump. The flower on the other hand, seemed to be far more fragile. Wilting the second it was severed from it’s stem. “I dare say, I consider myself a journeyman botanist, but this is a rather unique specimen. I’ve never seen anything like it. That other voice, you said it was a Fea Flower?”

Something bumped Griffin in the head hard. It was something solid. Griffin slipped and fell back into the snow. "Lady Knight, I guess we are even then," commented Griffin as he got up dusting himself off from the snow.
The little pixie Embers looked at the flowers again and flew down to get a closer look "Yes some type of Fea Flower I know this what it is doing here or what it is doing I could not tell you." said Embers looking at the flower closely.
Griffin also looks at the flowers too. Making sure we were not going to run into the lady knight holding his small hand out and placing it on the lady knight's armored leg near the knee. "I do study the Arcan arts and domains. My instincts tell me that this magical effect is a medium-range magical effect. This is a power not from our domain." suggested Griffin his tone sounded like he was in thought about the subject.
"Now we know where most of us are. We could walk in the same direction to see how far the flowers affect people." suggested [1] Griffin trying to shake off the cold. Griffin condenses his magic and fire energy within himself he becomes warm to the touch as the snow touches his body and begins to sizzle. Griffin's body started to radiate heat.

A reasonable argument from a seemingly reasonable person. Another mage is the perfect accomplice to figure out just what in the hells is going on in this area. The steam that rises from seemingly nothing gives enough of a silhouette to tell that it was the traveller exuding this warmth. A small reprieve from the cold allowed the scents of magic to reach her. The man reeked of fire, though there were small amounts of space magic potential floating about him. She would have to remain cautious of magical manipulation. “I agree, if this effect overlaps with other trade routes it could spell trouble. Lead the way, Sir Griffin.” She says, offering a polite curtsy, before realizing the gesture would be wasted. The slowly freezing remnants of the goo wall crumbled in the blizzard wind as they began their trek through the frozen field. The light from her maul was oddly still visible despite most of her spells dissapearing the second they are cast. Perhaps after finding it’s border, the entire field of flowers could be harvested safely, and studied by the consortium. Arcane Senses

Griffin reached up slowly he grabbed onto part of Gwendolyn that was hanging down. "You do not have to call me Sir Griffin, my Lady. I am not a Knight or even of nobility. I am skilled and most of my family are Archmages or Alchemists or both. We are experts in the arcane arts. So most just give the title of Master. So if you wish My Lady you can Call me Master Gafelker or Master Griffin." explained Griffin as he walked leading everyone.
Griffin could feel the snow crunch beneath his feet. [1] He was still generating heat for himself or anyone right next to Griffin. Walking in the same direction Griffin almost slips on some ice. Griffin could feel the wind and cold blowing around him as he moved further away from where he last was standing. His steps were slow as he walked to Griffin and would not lose anyone. Griffin put his free hand up trying to block the wind and snow so he could see where he was going.
"Embers, Can you launch another fire bolt to the front?" Griffin requested in a polite tone. There was a flash of fire as it traveled out in front of the group. The bolt of fire flew then just appeared and fizzled out. "We are close," said Griffin. Griffin and Gwendolyn walked further as they passed a snow drift Griffin looked back and could now see Parts Gwendolyn starting to show now or what he could see through the blowing snow.

The firebolt made her squint from the sudden change in light. Wait a minute. She looked down to her hands, seeing that they were now almost transluscent instead of entirely invisible. They had nearly made it out of the effect area. The flowers that presumably created the effect had noticeably thinned out in numbers, and she could now almost see the mystery companion she had bumped into. Definitely a gnome. The trade route road revealed itself before them, the billowing snow easing up a bit as they exited the forest. It was certainly close enough to potentially cause issues, as evidenced by the caravan that had already gotten off track. But it didn’t seem like the flowers were more of a threat than a sign could prevent… Actually, would a sign be invisible as well? It’s not like the trees were invisible, or the snow. Weird shit was going on in this forest was all she could be sure of. “Well then, Master Gafelker, Embers I presume” She said, offering a slight bow a them now that they were in the visible realm. “I suppose this bids us adieu, if you follow this route, it should take you to the trade station in a mile or so. Stay safe!” Gwendolyn offered, as she took the trail that led back to her manor.
