Despite the desire to travel the world more, Galvynn still found himself sticking to the familiarity of nature. The trees were more a comfort to him than anything the world at large could provide. His hands idly traced against tree trunks as he walked past them, serene smile across his face. There was a peace in the way the wind rustled the branches that began to slowly bud with spring.
"Hm?" He tilts his head up to the branches to watch them rustle. After a moment his face falls as he leans against a tree trunk.
With a renewed purpose, he straightens up and starts to walk again. His boots quietly made their way through the underbrush as he headed towards a small settlement. The remnants of some large creature passing through the town were hard to miss. Heavy paw prints and clawed through belongings made its presence known.
A small crowd was gathering in the middle of the town to try and decide what to do.

Traveling through Moonveil Forest Griffin seeing what the world had to offer a man like Griffin. Branches, twigs, and fallen leaves littered the path he walked. The underbrush was thick but did not bother Griffin this was home to him. He was not much taller than the bushes he walked by. Walking the uneven ground and knobby roots he could feel underfoot. hearing squirrels chattering, leaves rustling, and wind whistling threw the trees. Rays of the sun peek threw the treetops lighting the forest floor. The Forest started to open up ahead of a village where some fuss was coming from. Griffin could hear people talking about something that had happened. With interest in what could of happened Griffin walked in to see what was going on. he walked in right behind another guy. He looked to be human and this village was a Halfling township. He had long brown hair and simple clothing made of different cloths and leathers. Mostly of earth tones of dark green and brown. So Griffin was not the only one to find this Halfling township. Griffin thinks it was called Small Leaf, but Griffin was not sure. Griffin walked up beside the stranger with a kind smile "What has the town folk in such a fuss?" Asked Griffin looking up at the man.
Creature Quest You must complete a topic with at least one other person (they can role play the creature if they want) where you must track down, calm, and capture the creature. You can fight it, or trap it, or trick it, you just have to weaken it enough to capture it. Each person in the thread must post at least 4 times with each post being at least 150 words long. Once the quest is over, the creature is yours.

"We don't have the people to go after something like this!"
"Well, it ain't like someone's gonna help us. The closest town is days away and who knows if they would help?"
"So what? We are supposed to kill it with pitchforks and shovels?"
"Whatever we can get!"
A few of the villagers argue amongs themselves as the outsiders approach. It's clear they are simple villagers, their skills lying in farming and simple animal husbandry. Good folk, but not ones equipped to handle something like this hence the uproar of confusion, anger, and fear. Before Galvynn has a chance to respond to anything that is happening, a woman spots the two at the edge of town.
"Adventurers!" She calls as the crowd turns to them. It seems their strange dress made it somewhat obvious how they stood out from the normal folk who travel the roads.
"You have to kill it!"
"I um...I am not even sure what happened here?"
"A big crazy creature wrecked out town, it left to the north. It must have some sort of lair, please, you two can probably kill it right?"
Galvynn's face did not hide his discomfort at the idea of blindly murdering something, especially not knowing what the thing is. A hand comes up to gently touch at his bear jaw necklace.
"I can only promise to look into it."

Griffin smiled putting his hand up and motioned to quiet and calm the people surrounding them. Griffin listened to The people and Galvynn's talk. He waited until Galvynn was done talking. It was funny how the people just assumed that Griffen knew the adventurer beside him. Griffen smiled "First introductions, I am Gafelker Most call me Griffin. I hear your cries for help." explained Griffin talking to the crowd and looking around at them. "You ask me to help you. Did you know that this fine adventure beside me never met?" informed Griffin telling the crowd about the two adventurers.
"Now our type of people know how to live with the land. You just do not go killing things or something worse could take the place of the threat, Remember that," advised Griffin passing on his knowledge and his tone with some authority but understanding. Turning to the other adventure Griffin gave a small confident smile. "Now friend, what is your name? Do you wish to team up with me to help this village?" asked Griffin politely with a small bow to Galvynn.

"No offense, but we have bigger worries than if you two know each other. Something like this is going to ruin crops, scare away all the game to hunt, and gods know what else. Just do whatever you need to scare it away, we don't have many options." A gnomish man moves to take point on the coversation. It's clear in his mannerisms that he is aware they are being a bit brusk with the adventurers, but he also seems to be exhausted and on his last nerve. The conversation with the others had been going on all day and everyone was pointing fingers.
Galvynn had almost entirely disengaged from the conversation as he looks at the scarring on the ground. He looks past the group and to the clawmarks. His body starts to move before Griffin's voice pulls him back.
"Hm?" He looks down, clearly having missed most of that conversation. "Oh um, Galvynn." His attention quickly moves back to the marks as he starts towards the destruction.
"Admittedly, I am more worried about whoever they are angry at." The druid kneels down to run his hands through the claw marks. "She seemed quite worried about him.....from the looks of it this one is scared, by what I don't know."
He lifts his gaze to try and follow the direction the tracks seem to lead. Into the thick of the woods it seems...which all things considered isn't bad. It seems to be trying to get away from everything, the destruction more a chaotic panic than willful destruction.

Tuning to Galvynn. Griffin lifts an eyebrow. "Galvynn is it well, Looks to be a druid too," remarks Griffin watching the druid study the tracks. Griffin looks up at the Villager talking earlier to Griffin. "Yes, I am sure it is the end of the world as we know it," Griffin comments with a sarcastic tone. Griffin just waves off the Villager and turns to Galvynn.
"You said they and angry at?" Asked Griffin now looking at Galvynn. "She?" said Griffin then looked back at the townspeople and shook his head in disappointment. "I do hope you did not harm its child or take it. Mothers rath will be unforgiving," said Griffin in a stern tone his more polite manners changing to one of frustration.
"If what you way is true Galvynn. Then let us go see what the problem is and hopefully solve this quickly." Suggested Griffin now starting to walk in the direction of the tracks. "Galvynn, you must be a Druid?" Asked Griffin hoping the man knew more than he did on how to deal with this animal. "Ah you know what we are dealing with?" asked Griffin as they walked following the tracks.

"The villagers I mean, they are clearly upset with whoever did this...but I am not sure they meant to do this." The concern on his face and in his voice is not hidden, though he turns a bit sheepish when Griffin points out the 'She' part.
Galvynn stands, not bothering to wipe the dirt from his hands, as he looks to Griffin. "It's hard to explain I've found...not many people can hear Her...Síochánta...it seems most don't remember how to hear Her, but that's not the problem right now."
He starts to wander the path the tracks have taken as well. There was only going to be so much they could find from the village. The creature was going to be somewhere in the woods.
"A druid? I guess that's what some of the humans call it....I am not sure exactly what we are going to see. Lots of forestfolk have big claws, I don't know how much I can say until we see more."
The path in front of them doesn't follow any man-made path, the creature seemed to have charged in a straight line through the city and into the woods. Deep paw prints continue in the soft dirt, trampled bushes and broken branches line the path. At the very least this wouldn't be a difficult track to follow.

Seeing the tracks change Griffin wondered if they were following a bear. Looks around and pays close attention to his surroundings. Griffin did not want to be surprised but whatever they were following. "I see, my study is Arcan the Elementalist domains I am trying to unlock the secrets of the land and the magic in it," explained Griffin gracefully walking through the woods. "It has not been an easy task But I will unlock I am sure the moor I study." Griffin remarked stopping and looking at a tree with claw marks.
"I can see this animal is not trying to hide. A child can follow the tracks. That is interesting whatever it is must be mad or scared or both. With a lot of Forest folk having claws, this will be interesting, to say the least." said Griffin now looking at some bushes that whatever it was just trapped right through them. "Even I can tell we are not too far behind it." Suggested Griffin tilting his head some looking at some of its tracks.

"You have to study it?" He glances back at Griffen a moment. The question is less a condescending 'haha I'm just good at magic' and more just an actual curiousity. Galvynn was fairly disconnected from how others experienced the world, so how they harnessed magic was interesting.
At the very least, Galynn is relieved to have someone with similar sympathies. Most wouldn't stop to even consider helping whatever did this, kill the beast is usually the easy and simple answer. He stops a moment as they walk spotting a few birds in a tree ahead. Galvynn smiles and holds out a hand, the finches giving him a look for a moment before flitting over to land in his hand.
One lands in his hair with little peeps, "Hello you three~ are things well in the woods?"
Peep peep....peep.
"I am sorry...feel free to take a few hairs to start rebuilding your nest." He smiles before looking back to Griffin, his mind snapping back to the task at hand. "Right sorry...Little ones, can you tell me what you saw?"
The two in his hand get very animated with their peeping. They have much to say about what happened. The finch in his hair takes the offer to begin plucking loose hairs to collect since the offer was given.
"Thank you all so much." The druid beams as the two in his hand fly off, the third following behind, "Something large with strange markings is what made its way through here...in the chaos it knocked their nest out of the tree...they couldn't tell exactly what it was just large and furry."

Looking and thinking watching the birds fly away. "I am sorry I had nothing to give them. My hair is short I don't own much either what you see is what you get." Comments Griffin with a smirk. Griffin was trying to be funny but his jokes normally go well. "For my magic, some come naturally to me. Other things take practice and an understanding of the flow of magic. You might have to unlock the secrets it holds," described Griffin thinking about the magic around him.
"Bear can do this. Just not any bear maybe a Rune Bear? never seen one yet where I grew up they said if you did you would not come back". said Griffen thinking and starting to walk again. "Primordial magic is what changed them and that is what I am trying to learn about," commented Griffin.
Griffen reaches over to touch a broken bush "The sap is getting fresher I think. If it is a Rune Bear what do you plan to do with it?" asked Griffin wondering how they would stop such a powerful beast.

Galvynn looks a mix of confused and interested when Griffin talks about studying and unlocking secrets. It was so different to what he understood about magic, but then again his magic was pretty basic in application and understanding. Whatever was inherent to him was what he did and he didn't put much thought into having to study. He was probably well behind what Griffin could do.
The druid picks up a few hairs from the path, rolling them between his fingers. Coarse...but are these bear hairs? He tucks the hairs in a pocket for later use, probably more nesting material, before looking over to Griffin.
"Talking to it. I can't help it if I don't know what is wrong with it." As he says that, snuffling can be heard in the distance. It sounds like something the size of a horse.
The size means it probably isn't a bear, but it is about the size of a horse which isn't much better. Digging and scratching intensifies as they get closer and closer. Clumps of dirt are flung haphazardly behind the creature and past the adventurers. One deep huff of the air and suddenly it wheels around, the pair of them met face to face with a large rune badger with its hackles raised.

His eyes went wide "Oh, not a bear," commented Griffin. He had some worry in his tone. The large rune badger with its hackles raised. Now I have not seen one of these before, He thought. Griffin's life flashed before his eyes as he looked at this rune badger barring its teeth and snarling. [1] Griffin raised his hand slowly in surrender or so it looked. "Do something, Galvynn, I can only stop it for a moment," said Griffin in a whisper.
Griffin tried to take a step back. The rune badger started to kick stuff up with its hind legs. Dirt and bark flew The rune badger was defending its territory. Griffin grew up in the woods and knew enough not to mess with this rune badger.knew the signs when an animal is angry.

"Don't." It was the first time Galvynn's voice had taken on any gravitas as he caught Griffin looking to cast something.
Galvynn stepped forward to get between the badger and his new friend. The badger continues to growl, but with no one getting closer it also isn't reaching out to attack. It is certainly wary of the two in front of it, but doesn't seem willing to go on the offensive.
"It's OK friend, we are sorry for startling you. I didn't mean to sneak up on you." His voice returns to the gentle and soft tone Griffin was introduced to.
The huffs from the badger's nose blow Galvynn's hair back each time it exhales. Adrenaline has its fight or flight instincts in overdrive as it growls and chitters at the pair. What they could both notice was the beast favoring on side of its body as it twisted itself to protect the vulnerable side.
"Are you hurt?" Galvynn is met with more angry chitters, but he steps forward again. "I can help little one, you just have to let me." He smiles softly.
The rune badger doesn't approach, but stretches out its neck as far as possible. It takes a few deep sniffs of the druid before pulling back. Then it leans in again to sniff him. On the second round, Galvynn leans in to put his head against the badger's with a hand petting the side of its face.
"Thank you for trusting me. Can I see?" Reluctantly, the badger adjusts to show a sickly wound across its side. Some hunters around here were using poisoned weapons.
Galvynn steps to the side to look at the wound, frowning gently. He reaches out a hand and moves slowly to run his hand just above the wound. The badger flinches at the first sensation and breathes heavily, but it slowly blinks as it feels the poison leaving.[1] He then slowly repeats the process to cleanse and close the wound.[2]
He lets out a breath with a smile, the badger looking confused between the two of them. It still seems wary, but much less aggressive.

Griffin could not believe what he had just seen. Who is this man his ability was astounding. Griffin hoped he could tame the elemental powers the same way. Griffin reached slowly for a small pouch in his belt every move he made was in place sight and slow. he emptied some berries and nuts into his hand. "holding his hand out his hand flat and level. "Here you go Have it," Griffin said softly with no fear or apprehension in his voice He offered the food to the Rune Badger. "It is ok big one," said Griffen trying to let the Rune Badger have it.
This would be the first time Griffin had done anything like this he was excited and hoped he would not lose a hand over the offering. "Galvynn, I hope you made a friend or am I going to lose an arm?" asked Griffin semi joking his tone hushed. Standing there in wonder wondering could he learn this in time.

The badger, while still wary, is much more amenable to the presence of the two. It sniffs in Griffin's direction as the scent of food starts to waft its way. Delicately it stretches out its muzzle towards Griffin.
He would see his arm up to the elbow disappear into the badgers mouth, but it would pull back taking only the food with it. Griffin would be left in tact, but a little slimier for his troubles.
The druid gives a little laugh and smile, "I think there is your answer. Are you hungry little one?" It was slightly odd to call it little when it stood at shoulder height to Galvynn.
With a hungry flicker in its eyes, the badger nods. Galvynn laughs again and holds out both hands and slowly exhales. As he does, the grass around them begins to grow and flourish.[1] Small strawberry bushes start to dot the ground around them as the magic fades having completed its duty.
The badger immediately starts to snuffle a bush and start eating. He picks a few of his own, tossing a few to Griffin as well. A hand reaches over to give the badger a soft pet.
"Sorry I don't have any grubs or gophers little one, but eat your fill of these. We can talk after your dinner." With that he turns his attention to Griffin, "And thank you."
Galvynn lowers himself to sit down on a tree root while he eats, "Not um...Not many adventurers are willing to help like I help. I understand the villagers were scared and most adventurers are just looking to survive as well, but so are ones like this one."
