Sitting on the dry, dusty shores of the Docking Coast in the Arid Mesa, Elvira took note of her belongings. Her and Tatalia had been called here on a mission to do something that, quite frankly, Elvira thought was wrong. She seemed to have no qualms about letting that fact be known, either. "I still don't get it, arasha,"1 she complained. "Why do the animals have to leave their homes to allow for these companies to expand their profits? Why not just... I-I don't know. This sucks."
With the star-touched elf's supplies in order, she looks to her lover and smiles. "I suppose if I'm doing this, at least I'm doing this with you. Perhaps we can find a way around killing the Akhluts? I feel that would be beneficial to the environment. Besides, they were here long before we were. It would only be right to respect that, no?"
She began to build her bow up. As it turns out, she had designed it to be collapsible to save space on her travels. The beautiful darkened wood mixed with the golden trim, white painted vines, and ornate carvings all came together to create a piece that one might find on a pedestal in someone's home. For her, however, each design was carefully personalized over time. This piece contrasted with her simplified, yet equally beautiful, scimitar which lay dormant in its scabbard at her hip. Today, she had opted to wear her robes once more, though she left the hood down. Her violet and pale lavender skin contrasted heavily with the surroundings, though so did the ships and crew that lined where they sat.
Looking up at the sun, which had partially been shrouded by the dusty air of the Mesa, Elvira sighed and stood. She moved to place a gentle hand on the goblin's back as she spoke. "I suppose it's time for us to go check the nesting grounds and make sure the Akhluts aren't about to make a quick meal of these men and women. Are you read, Tats?"
1. Arasha - "My happiness," elven term of endearment used only for someone you consider your lover.
