"Hey, look, I'm not going that far. I can take care of myself, you know?" C'Leena protested to her fiancé, hands on her hips. Ever since the Dial Fractum incident, Nephele has been beyond reluctant to let C'Leena go anywhere alone. It's been some time since then, but Nepheles worries are still fresh.
The nymph glares at C'Leena for a moment before her eyes soften, and she sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Very well. But you be home before sundown or I'll find you." She warns, pointing a finger at the australian. She raises her hands in feign surrender, a smirk on her features.
"Not at all ominous. Nah, I'll be okay, I promise." She plants a gentle kiss on Nepheles forehead, cupping her cheeks. "Have some faith, yeah?"
Nephele nods and gently pushes C'Leena away. "I will. Now go before I change my mind."
That conversation was about an hour or so ago. C'Leena now finds herself sat against a tree, simply watching the scenery. Ever since coming here, she'd found a certain sense of peace with nature. Having lived without it for all of her life prior to Charon, it's strangely like finding a piece of a puzzle she never knew she lost.
C'Leena is dressed casually. A pair of demin jeans, black tank top and a pair of worn, heavy duty work boots. Around her neck is a pendant made of obsidian. Crudely chipped and dulled, the letter "N" is engraved into it's face. Yet all that isn't even the most distinct part of her. Surrounding her eyes, across her shoulders, around her collarbone and stretching down her back are extremely severe burn scars, the skin having become almost webbed, leathery and taut. Her eyes themselves are entirely aquamarine, as if they were gemstones instead of eyes.
C'Leena sighs and rolls her shoulders, hearing an unpleasant grinding within her right arm. With a tisk, she takes a hold of her arm, and with a subtle flash of her eyes, her arm - which, along with her other arm, looked completely normal and strangely unscarred - detaches from her body. The illusory skin fades quickly as it's detached, revealing a metal arm. Metal plates cover it's surface, seemingly able to shift and move along the arms form. Inscriptions along the plates are also clear.
C'Leena takes out a small cloth and begins cleaning out the connection between the arm and her shoulder, her eyes returning to the landscape as she cleans absent-mindedly.

While Taki herself had been fairly active lately, her companions had seemed restless in the last handful of days. Between the reduced loads from work and chores, she could imagine their impatience. They needed to get out, see the sights, take a trip for a day or so and just enjoy it. Gathering her adventuring kit, she headed out to the Stables to ready Hakaze's gear. Together with Kamina, the shaman loaded onto her barded Drake as Yukina took off skyward.
"Go on, show us what makes you a Wind Drake." She goaded her companion, trying to hint at the nature of the trip at hand. Taking a few powerful strides, the drake pumped their wings to drive huge gusts beneath. The ground seemed to fall away as they rose into the sky, the rushing air drowning out any but the loudest of noises. Instead, Taki had trained the drake to respond to a combination of hand signals and basic inputs from the barding's own gear. Yukina joined them a few minutes later as they were leveling off and picked a northeastern heading. The lush greens and earthy tones of the Isles gave way to a deep, rich blue some time later.
This part of any journey was always both lovely and daunting. One the one hand, the oceans were beautiful and on the other, the monotonous scenery was tough to focus on for long periods. Kamina pulled Taki's cloak around herself as the group reached the coast, and the water's warming effect began to fade. Directing the group lower, she and Hakaze scanned the area for a suitable place to land. Yukina banked off in one direction, while they turned the other to spread their search out. Spotting what appeared to be a vacant clearing, the shaman gave her drake leave for an acrobatic landing. Diving from the sky, the experienced flyer snapped their leathery wings open, beating them furiously towards the ground to slow their momentum. This kicked up the various leaves and loose debris, spraying it in all directions as the group thumped into the ground chuckling amongst themselves.

What was C'Leena expecting? Perhaps a quiet day to herself, a few moments to unwind from the unique stresses that fantastical life brings. Hell, it's getting awfully close to her birthday, isn't it?
However, if Charon has taught her one thing, it's to never expect moments of silence alone. As C'Leena cleans out her prosthetic, she hears distant, heavy wingbeats. Looking up, the first thing she sees are shadows darting across the clearing as the powerful beats get louder and louder. A few moments later, an impressive beast lands about a hundred feet away from her. She quickly notes its rider - someone of a race C'Leena doesn't recognize.
C'Leena shifts into a kneeling position so she's sitting on her heels and continues her cleaning, but her eyes don't leave the newcomers. The debris from the landing didn't quite reach her, but it was impressive nonetheless.
"Well fuck me sideways, thats a.. Drake? I think?" She mumbles to herself, watching with curious eyes. The idea of taming her own drake and riding home on it one day to surprise Nephele passes her minds eye, causing C'Leena to smirk. Alas, she shakes the thought away. The attempt would probably kill her. Plus, she still has an Arcuila to take care of - that greedy little shit.
"Hope he isn't giving Nephele too much crap."

Taki slipped from the saddle atop the Drake's back, landing lightly with her pack over her shoulders. As she hit the ground, she stopped, her Geomagnetic Sense reaching out and giving her a rough idea what was nearby. She didn't sense anything dangerous this close, so she pat Hakaze on the shoulder with one arm, while giving him a signal with another. The big Drake stretched like an overgrown cat, trotting around the clearing in a wide circle. They came to a stop a few moments later, curling up next to the shaman, who sat down beside her perceptive companion. Quietly they spoke to each other, while the shaman seemed to busy herself with the contents of the pack.
"Someone is nearby, though it was hard to get a good look at them. From what I could tell, it was some sort of armored humanoid, but the trees were blocking much of the view."
"I see, let's let the situation unfold for now... keep your eyes peeled and I'll signal Yukina to keep watch when she nears. Kamina, you stay inside for now, if it gets too hot, try to slip into the hood and stay out of sight okay?"
"Yes miss, of course."
"We wont' let you down Taki." Concluded the drake, reminding her of the intense training they'd gone through. While the Winged Expeditionary Force didn't sound like it was a group guarding society from peculiar and rare threats, that was one of the organization's roles within Charon. While not a front line for any given nation or area, they could be called upon to deal with creatures that normal militia or adventurers might not be equipped to handle. The training had been no joke, granting the shaman a myriad of new skills, while honing Hakaze's own talents and skills as they bonded. A familiar series of shrieks and chirps came about a moment later, so Taki pretended to stretch from her bag as she gave a cleverly disguised signal to Yukina. The Snow Owl soared on by lazily as if it didn't have a care in the world, getting well away from the clearing before climbing up near the layer of cloud cover and circling overhead.
With her plans set in motion, she spread out the woven bamboo mat rolled up in her pack. Setting out several small bamboo trays and dishes, Taki arranged the contents of the picnic on one side. Things that were to be served cold remained in a wooden box filled with ice, while things needing to be heated were separated next to a set of camp cookware. She stood up, moving away from her companion and the arranged goods before picking a suitable spot. She took several deep breaths, focusing on the flow of magic within, and around. In front of the shaman, the earth seemed to shift and mold like soft clay atop a spinning potter's wheel. A pit formed, as if someone had taken a massive hammer and stamped it into the ground. Walking around the clearing, she gathered some dry fallen limbs, sticks and debris before starting a fire and setting up the cookware nearby.
Her companions watched the surroundings, alert to any movement while the shaman pretended to be distracted by the picnic. Hopefully whoever they'd stumbled upon would be friendly and join them, but Taki was all too aware that things could go awry in an instant...

Watching the events unfold in front of her, she finds herself far more curious than she was moments ago. She watches the rider and their drake interact in some way, then start setting up some form of mat.
"What is this, a picnic or something?" She murmurs to herself before reattaching her arm and removing her left arm, beginning again with the cleaning. C'Leena's form blurs for a moment as a perfect replica1 of her materializes next to her. "Mind seeing whats going on there?" She asks the replicant, who nods, stands itself up and begins walking over.
The replicant is identical to C'Leena in every way - even the currently disconnected arm isn't on the replicant. As the one armed copy makes its way over, the real C'Leena continues to watch and observe, still cleaning.
The copy watches the magic curiously, invested with how the earth is molding to the strangers will. "G'day." The copy greets, waving a hand. The attached arm looks perfectly normal and healthy - looks to be perfect flesh. "Saw you were setting up here and reckoned I should at least say 'hi'. Is that a Drake?"
The copy of C'Leena looks curious and almost excited, her gem-like eyes somehow conveying both where she's looking and the overwhelming curiosity burning in her mind. There is no attempt at being quiet, the rustling of grass and dry leaves announcing it's approach.
Generally, it would be the real C'Leena approaching, but Nephele would be more than a little pissed off with her if she was as careless as she normally was. Erring on the side of caution is the best thing for this scenario - much to the disappointment of C'Leena herself.

Hakaze noticed something off first, scanning the area they'd been watching. Yukina let out a sharp cry overhead, confirming that something was indeed happening out of sight. Taki gave no indication she'd been alerted, even feigning a bit of surprise as a strange woman entered the clearing.
"G'day." The woman greeted in an unusual accent. "Saw you were setting up here and reckoned I should at least say 'hi'. Is that a Drake?". Her outfit was simple, practical, though it's make was unlike anything she'd seen before. It also tipped her off that something strange was afoot, as Hakaze had said something about armor... but this young lass wasn't wearing any that she could see... Still, Taki trusted the Drake's perception, so she considered her response carefully for a moment.
"Greetings to you as well miss, we are indeed setting up for a picnic. My name is Shitakibo, and my Wind Drake companion here is Hakaze. You're free to join us if you like, along with anyone else you might be traveling with." Taki replied in a calm tone, trying to reach out with her senses to get an idea of who else might be in the area. Who or what was outside the radius of her senses and she was in no position to see them. She hoped it was a cautionary measure, that kind of prudent decision she could understand and appreciate. She was prepared for it not to be, though she genuinely hoped the stranger who just strolled in was at last civil and genuine in their curiosity.

The replicant smiles kindly as it squats down, elbows on her knees. "Well, lovely to meet you, Shitakibo." It says easily before looking at the drake. "What a beautiful creature.. Ah, sorry. Here, let me go grab.. Me? Fuck I'm not meant to have existential crises. Be back!" The replicant stands up and begins to walk back toward C'Leena. A quick discussion between herself and the replicant takes place, with the real C'Leena standing herself up, arm still in hand.
C'Leena begins her walk as the replicant fades, looking awfully disturbed as it does so. Perhaps it was having a crisis. She walks up and sits herself down where the Replicant was as she finishes her cleaning of her prosthetic. "Hey, mate. Sorry 'bout that, I was curious to see what you were doing but kind of unwilling to find out myself." She chuckles, looking at Shitakibo with featureless eyes. "Hope that didn't come across as rude or anything."
Once she's happy with the cleanliness of the prosthetic, she reattaches it to her shoulder with a click and hiss. In a mesmerizing wave across her metallic skin, the illusion of flesh is painted on with accuracy that can only be done by careful magic and inscription. She opens and closes her hand a few times before smiling, looking pleased with results as she interlaces her fingers, the sound of metal on metal clear as day.
"Can I ask what brought you here specifically? Was it chance or is this a place you frequent?" She asks, more than a little curious about Shitakibo. C'Leena hasn't seen anyone of her race before and it's almost like asking 'what ethnicity are you' back on earth, so asking is definitely not gonna happen.
"You said the drake's name was.. Hakaze, right? Did I say that right? Wait, better question; am I saying your name right? Shitakibo? That would be fucken awful if I was messing that up."

Had she not seen such an ability before, it might have startled the shaman. As it were, she could appreciate the caution around strangers. She listened to the woman's explanation, then gave her questions a moment's thought before answering. Had there been anything specific about this place that made it appealing? Not particularly, but that rarely concerned the shaman unless it was for something official.
"Your annunciations are correct, though most call me Taki if that's easier for you. If you noticed the big owl overhead earlier, her name is Yukina, she'll be joining us when she's ready. As to what brought us here, a picnic and a chance to get out and be away from the day to day was our goal. Hakaze thought this clearing would be a nice spot, and I'm inclined to agree. It even came with a fortuitous guest!"
The shaman's reply was pleasant, even if her appearance could be seen as some sort of folk monster or nightmare. Meeting people from other cultures was something Taki often looked forward to, and she could tell this woman wasn't your typical Charonian. Her clothing, her unusual accent, it spoke to a life that the shaman was wholly unaware of. A myriad of questions started to list themselves out, ideas about what to ask, and the possible subjects they might discuss.
As Taki seemed to relax to the situation, so to did Hakaze. The big drake lowered his head to rest on his forelimbs, curling around one half of the campfire they'd started to cook with. Placing some of the cookware over the now low burning coals, she added a container of thick stew to a pot, filling it about two thirds full. Next, she lay some strips of smoked fish, bacon and sausage on a hot, buttered griddle and sprinkled them with seasoning. She added a touch of seasoning to the stew as well, watching it all come up to temperature carefully.

"Taki.." C'Leena mutters, testing the name almost. She smiles and nods. "Don't mind if I do, in that case." C'Leena looks up, and after a few moments, does indeed spot the owl in the air, seemingly wandering to her untrained, frankly blurry eye. Ever since her accident, her vision has been nothing short of trash. The mere fact that she even spotted the owl is a miracle.
"Quite a few companions, huh?" She idly comments, watching the owl curiously. It was only when she heard a particular crackle of flame that her head snapped back to what was in front of her. At some point between her looking at the owl and now, Taki had started a fire, the dreaded heat from which very quickly becomes unbearable to C'Leena. A few beats of frozen fear pass before she hastily shuffles herself backward, still in conversation range but with distance between herself and the open flame.
She stammers for a moment before clearing her throat, trying desperately to settle her nerves. Truthfully, not a good look on a first meet. "I have an Arcuila myself. Not with me but with my Fiancé in the nearby town." She eventually gets out, her fingers finding their way to the engagement ring on her finger, anxiously fiddling with it. "Cheeky thing, she is."
It's a curious dynamic between C'Leena and Taki. Initially, it was Taki who was wary and reserved, while C'Leena was relaxed, and now the roles have completely flipped. Granted, C'Leena is less wary and more fighting off panic but close enough.
"If you don't mind, can I ask what you do?" She asks curiously, focusing entirely on Taki, lest she have another meltdown like she did with Cyran. She would sooner pay someone all her money than relive that moment again.

She noticed C'Leena's wariness of the small campfire, though it seemed rude in the moment to inquire about it. Turning the various dishes over or stirring them, she enjoyed the aromas for a moment before replying to her question.
"These are my active half at least, three others are currently at my home on the coast of the Bamboo Forest. They go into a torpor, or hibernation, for the winter. Except Hanehiko, who is off answering other wild urges as a Celestial Manta is wont to. They earn it through the year though, more times than I care to count. Same with all my companions really, they deserve a vacation from time to time... oh, and I suppose you should be introduced to the third accompanying us today... Kamina, you can say hello."
From the shaman's long robe, a tiny pixie emerges wreathed in sparks of electricity. She bolts over to Taki's arm, peaking out from behind her elbow for a moment. Again she zips behind the shaman, this time setting herself down on her shoulder and waving to the new person.
"Hi, hi hi, hello there!"
Taki chuckled softly, glad the pixie rarely fixated on an emotion. She continued to listen to C'Leena talk about her life, smiling as she revealed more about her own family. Familiar with the so called lightning phoenixes, she could only imagine what that must be like. She also knew how much of a handful the true phoenix she had met was, and the way they handled their new life under Morrigan's companionship.
"What I do is kind of a tough question to answer, though suffice to say, I'm an adventurer of sorts. My typical jobs as a shaman tend to be fairly mundane in nature, helping with farming and livestock, tending natural resources. Sometimes the tasks get more interesting though, from fighting monsters to rescuing townsfolk on the precipice of disaster... Saving Charon from being torched barren by a powerful fire spirit... ya know... adventuring."
In truth, that question had always been difficult to explain to others. She didn't see herself as a consultant, as she often did her fair share of labor. A shaman didn't really seem to tell others much, so she decided that adventurer was the closest to her 'job description' as could be accurate. She had a specialty, sure, based on her own talents... but she took on any job sent her way, even when they got weird and way outside her wheelhouse.

The introduction of Kamina took C'Leena off guard. The only other time she'd even seen a pixie was her encounter with Arashi. Who named the pixie 'Cookie'. That was an amusing time. C'Leena smiles warmly, managing to hide the anxiety well behind the smile. "G'day to you, too." She greets kindly.
Learning that Taki was a Shaman and an adventurer was unique. While C'Leena knew nothing about Shamans, she could argue that C'Leena herself was an adventurer as well. Granted, she hasn't done much rescuing outside of Nephele. She's also familiar with Vulcadreas, although she wasn't involved with fighting it herself, mainly helping with clearing out cultists when they were still trying to summon it.
She nods in interest as Taki tries to explain her life. "I'm unfamiliar with shaman's. Are they like.. Druids?" She asks, drawing connections exclusively from the vague explanation on it. She's slightly more familiar with druids, but not by a lot.
"I used to work as a prosthetist. That has kind of been put on the backburner for a bit as I figure out how to get that to work here. That and I'm getting married soon so.." Her sentence trails off as she gets lost in her mind for a moment. Time and again, she is reminded that she's getting married and she gets extremely happy each and every time she's reminded of it. A small, excited smile forms on her face before she shakes her head, pulling herself back to the present.
"But yeah. How long have you been doing what you're doing?" She asks curiously, eager to keep the conversation going. It's right about now that C'Leena confirms with herself that she won't tell Nephele about the fire thing. Neph is an amazing woman, but she has built an inense grudge against open flames due to C'Leena's fear. It's endearing but can be a bit overbearing at times.

A flash of annoyance passed over her face at the mention of Druids. She quickly pushed it aside while she listened to the rest of what C'Leena had to say. She had no idea what a Prosthetist was, but it sounded very scientific. How to answer her question posed a challenge of it's own though, as the two groups were distinct but had several overlapping similarities.
"In some ways a shaman and a druid are similar, in others they are not. A druid connects with nature, though for many this is not intrinsically linked to their magic but rather an expression of it... a result if you will. A shaman however senses and communes with the spirits directly, whether they be of the lowliest blades of grass or the tallest mountains. For me at least, the two things are intrinsically linked... my magic flows through the spirits, my spirit, and then is given form... While I do still study new spells, it's not from a text book or in some lab... it's day to day, I speak to the spirits of the world that I've formed friendly bonds with, and they in turn speak to me... in a fashion."
She paused for a moment to collect her thoughts before continuing.
"Congratulations on your engagement, I hope it goes well and feel free to reach out should you need any help with the ceremonies. As far as how long I've been adventuring... well that's sort of difficult to pin down. I've always been a wanderer, curious about the world at large and the unknown... but as far as trying to make an impact on the community and the realm, that's been a serious effort for about a year now and a less serious one for about 3 years before that. How about yourself? What brings you to Charon? Have you been adventuring long? Is your wife-to-be an adventurer as well?"

The annoyance is something C'Leena doesn't miss, but it's shoved quickly enough that it takes the doctor a few seconds to process if it even happened. Once she does confirm that it did and was about to apologize for the overstep, Taki began explaining.
Hearing the difference makes a surprising amount of sense to C'Leena. Talking with spirits feels less like a lunatics ramblings than it would've a year prior - both from learning that magic is a thing and having passing encounters with a particularly adamant, disembodied voice that lingers around Nephele.
She nods in understanding as she takes a second to process everything said. The mention of her engagement snaps her out of it, a child-like grin splitting her lips from the mere mention. The smile shifts to general warmth as Taki describes her history of adventuring. It's mildly surprising to learn she's only done this for about a year properly - Taki having a certain wise, experienced vibe coming off her.
The title of 'Wife-to-be' catches her off guard, drawing up another childlike smile and giggle. "Perhaps not an adventurer. I'd hardly call myself or her adventurers, but she's been wandering for years. Her entire life, pretty much." C'Leena thinks back on the many stories that the nymph has told her, both about the Land of Wonder and her experiences coming to Charon for the first time. While most were dark, it seems Nephele was able to always draw something positive from them.. Most of the time.
"As for me? It's a long story," She says, rubbing the back of her neck. "Suffice to say, nature itself was extremely foreign to me since roughly a year ago. I was incredibly lucky for Nephele to stumble into the clearing where I was. Actually, that clearing isn't too far away, now that I think about it." She turns to look in a direction, eyes gazing off into the distance as she almost looks to be searching for that very same clearing she mentioned. After a few moments, the fire cracks particularly loud, startling C'Leena and returning her focus back to the present. Primarily to the flame with a wary, fearful gaze.
"Oh, uhm, you asked another question, right?" She asks, looking slightly bashful. "Oh! What brings me here? Depends on how you look at it. Either dumb luck or yet another bout of just the opposite. Some fuckoff wizard buggered up his spell and yanked me instead of whatever he was trying to do." She waves it off as if it was something completely normal. Yes, because being summoned instead of travelling here is a normal occurrence, even for magical fantasy land. Definitely.
As C'Leena looks more than a little grumpy about the circumstances about being dragged to Charon, her eyes flick back to the crackling flame. The oranges and blues dancing in a pattern that frankly mortifies C'Leena. Yet as her eyes are locked on the flame, watching it as if it were a coiled snake, something curious, yet most likely more than familiar happens in front of Taki.
The vaguely transparent figure of a woman forms between one blink and the next. She's squatted down, leaning on her knees as she watches C'Leena with a concerned expression.
The spirit looks young. Sharing the same skin tone and general features as C'Leena, it seems that the only difference is height and hair. While C'Leena's is cut short, the spirits' is long, flowing almost like water down her back and over her shoulders. She wears much the same foreign attire as C'Leena, wearing a hoodie, jeans and sneakers.
Her hand moves to rest atop C'Leena's shoulder, but stops just off her skin. Hesitating, her face twists into a pained expression. Not a physical pain but more emotional, as if she's fighting the urge to cry right there and then. With what looks to be a steadying sigh, she gently pushes C'Leena's chin toward Taki and simply watches.
C'Leena herself seems completely unaware on what is happening next to her. As if her attention drifted naturally, she shakes her head clear of the thoughts from before. "Sorry, sorry. But yeah, since I came here, I've been wandering with Nephele, exploring Charon, letting her show me all the cool shit she can. She showed me this abandoned church where we went to the roof of and looked at the stars for a while. That's when I proposed, too. That was I think.. Two months ago? God, everything is moving so quick in hindsight. It just feels right, you know? Is that bad? Frankly this is like, my first ever relationship so I'm wayy out of my depth."

Listening to her story reminded her of her mentor for a moment, mention of an awry spell with an unexpected outcome was perhaps similar to what Socket had experienced. An oddness seemed to captivate the young woman for a moment, something about the fire entrancing her thoughts. Lost in thought, she didn't seem to notice the spirit that appeared beside her for a brief moment. A caring smile planted itself on the shaman's face as she continued to listen after she recovered.
"I genuinely would not be the right person to ask such questions C'Leena, you've got more experience than I do in such a field. While I have recently experienced the fleeting pulse of a so called crush, it was but a momentary thing. To the best of my understanding, if you're both happy with the arrangement and consenting individuals that could be considered adults by your respective cultures, anyone complaining is just being petty. This world is full of surprises, strangeness, and it's own rhythms... don't let the 'normal' be set by others..."
As she concluded, a distant look passed over her face as she recalled the only other 'relationship' in her wheelhouse. Such a thing had no business existing in this world though, and she would not burden a stranger with it's story. To distract this train of thought, she pulled the stew from the pot to cool down for a few moments as Yukina came soaring into the camp to land beside Taki. She gave the bright white bird some gentle affection as she stood from her seat and moved back away from the fire and the others.
"Please don't panic, I'm going to... expand our group just a little."
She took a deep breath, letting the magic of her spirit call to her Guardians like a beacon. A soft blue glow swirled up from the shaman's eyes, as a similar effect shimmered before her to each side. From this misty glow, a long, serpentine dragon and a feline creature with a pair of forward facing horns coalesced. One floated about nearby, as if carried along by some unseen river, while the other sat on her haunches, tail swaying lazily.
"Keta, Ryu, I hope you're both well."
"Indeed Miss... are we meeting a new friend today?"
"All is well, thank you, what's the occasion?"
"Let's call it... a shaman's intuition... this young lady seems to have experienced something similar to my mentor, and perhaps even have a bit of spiritual spark herself."
"Oh! Oh my, that's wonderful! Hi, hello, I'm Keta!"
The feline spirit walks right up to C'Leena, excited by the news and prances about jubilantly, while the dragon seems to 'bow' as best she can.
"Ryu, a pleasure miss."

C'Leena waves off Taki's statement, a small smile on her features. "Nah, that's alright. Wasn't really expecting an answer, anyway. I'm happy, she's happy. That's all I care about. She's the type to speak her mind, anyway, so I'm not too concerned. Just gotta go with the flow."
C'Leena hardly notices the momentary distant look on Taki's face - primarily since she's not entirely used to the facial cues from her race. Simply assuming that she's taking a moment to think, she waits patiently and watches as she stands up and steps back. C'Leena nods, acknowledging the warning as she watches carefully, examining the magic pouring from Taki into summoning these two creatures. The dragon catches her eye for a moment, finding the resemblance to be rather similar to the Chinese rendition of dragons from Earth. Yet her attention is arrested by the awfully energetic cat who switches from sitting lazily to excitedly introducing herself.
She takes a moment to process what's happening. A talking cat and dragon is something new to her. Less of a surprise, but still surprising. "Well, G'day to you both. Dr. C'Leena Thomas. But just call me C'Leena." She introduces back, smiling warmly with a nod toward the dragon.
As she grows used to the spiritual animals, Taki's words finally sink in. "Wait, what do you mean 'similar experience'? And about a spiritual spark?" She asks, looking confused. The woman next to her looks equally confused but looks directly at Taki, seemingly realizing that she is being seen. A flash of panic crosses her features as she hastily presses a finger to her lips in a shushing motion before shuffling back a little. She doesn't vanish, but she seems more wary and on guard all of a sudden.
