Yeah... Videl was correct in one aspect for sure. This Nieven fellow was certainly full of themselves. To have spoken solely of their physical appearance in the instance of which they almost died.. Videl couldn't possibly imagine what was normally running through such a mans mind. And quite frankly, it wasn't something that he wanted to know all that much about anyway.

"First and foremost, I'm glad to know that you're doing alright after that. I know that such a situation might be considered one of the worst experiences a normal person might experience. It was enough to even leave me a bit rattled.. Not that I have time to focus on such a thing." Running his hands along his own chest, Videl would let out a soft sigh. Aside from the quickened pace of his heart, and the mild anxiety that had run wild throughout him, he was more or less physically okay. Okay enough to continue hunting down that merchant anyways. "I think that I'll try and locate that man from here. So feel free to get some rest."

Taking a moment to turn about, Videl would face himself in the direction that the goliath had initially run. It was difficult to tell the direction from below but now that he had returned to his regular size, Videl was certain that he could track the man down. Even if it meant having to scour from the rooftops that the city had offered him. "You are welcome to join me of course. But I am sure that after all of this, that you might find yourself a bit worn down." Given the lack of assistance that Nieven had offered to him, Videl had figured that Nieven was amongst the regular common folk. A bit full of himself but certainly without the power to back up any of his words. He wouldn't say this to the mans face of course but it was the one assessment that he could properly latch onto the man.

Nieven finished recovering from getting shrunk into the size of an ant, he took a deep long breath and exhaled feeling his stomach settle down and return to its well-behaved state.



He smirked at the other man as he thought about what he had said, “Thank you for your concern but I’ll be more than fine. I do not need rest at this moment, for what I need right at his moment, is revenge. That man will pay for making a fool out of me and making me almost die to a freaking ball bearing. I’m going to join you in your search. After all, a true man of honor cannot let sleeping dogs lie after such a disgrace. Come now let’s find this fellow and make sure he never does this to anyone ever again”.



He hurriedly jogged forward trying to follow Videl’s pace as they searched for when they came across where the goliath was before he was gone. As Nieven was about to remark how useless this trip was he saw the goliath fellow sprinting into the alley in the corner of his eyes.



“Come on, I see him”, he says as he chases the Goliath down expecting Videl to follow his wonderful lead.

Given that he would have company whilst tracking down the goliath had honestly left Videl feeling a bit reassured. While he could have tracked the man down on his own, such a thing was easier the more people there were involved. In the matters of dealing with a city anyways. That being the case, Videl and Nieven would continue on on their trek, eventually stumbling upon what they believed to be the goliath that had swindled him.

Shortly after Nieven had pointed out the man, Videl would nod whilst turning his gaze towards the direction that Nieven had mentioned. From what he could tell, from afar, it had certainly seemed as though this was the man that they had been chasing. To think that the man would be foolish enough to head down an alleyway..

Rather than allow for the goliath to escape, Videl would draw upon his glacial mana once more. Now that he had returned to his full size, his magic would respond in kind. With a flick of the wrist, the moisture within the ground before the goliath would find itself rapidly frozen. Just before the goliath could depart from the other end of the alley, a large wall of ice ^{[Glacial Wall]} would block of his only exit. This wall had been exceedingly sturdy and had left the goliath with no route other than to run back. As he had done so though, he would turn to see the two that he had just swindled.

"..I highly recommend that you turn yourself in.." This was the most courteous thing that Videl could offer to the merchant in this moment. For if the man hadn't turned himself in, Videl and Nieven would have to 'arrest' him themselves. And he was certain that with Nieven involved in the mix, given the words that the Sylvan Elf had spoken earlier, that Nieven would likely beat the merchant down before handing him over.

“Shit”, the goliath fellow would exclaim as he heard Nieven call out for him he booked it as fast as he could.



Nieven bolted after determined to not let this fellow go but thankfully for him, Videl seemed to have the situation covered as before the goliath fellow could slip away into the alleys and run off somewhere else he was blocked by a giant piece of ice. Nieven slowed his pace and simply walked with a smirk on his face towards the goliath.



The merchant pleaded as he felt the wall behind him, “Hey guys come on I didn’t do anything wrong, just gave you two a cool experience I’m sure you’ll never forget. Now why don’t we just let bygones be bygones? Come on fellas we don’t gotta drag this whole thing on. Just let me go, I'll leave and be out of your guys' hair”.



Nieven simply scoffed and flipped his hair as he stood next to Videl, “I simply must agree with my associate here, let’s just get this over with and get you into the custody of the guards. After all, you couldn’t have thought you’d just get rid of us that easily did you? Come on fiend your reign of terror ends today now just come with us peacefully and we can finish this before tea time”.



The Goliath shrugs looking around the area wildly to find any way he could escape but it’s futile, he’s been cornered and reached a dead end. Considering he’s got nowhere else to run he just sighs and surrenders making it a whole lot easier.



Nieven and Videl then proceed to walk the fellow toward the nearest guard station and turn him in, receiving a nice reward each. Eventually, it becomes time to say goodbye and Nieven turns to Videl and gives a short bow before smiling, “Farewell there friend I appreciate your help ever so much you have indeed been blessed by the gods to have met such a person as I. It was a pleasure to have experienced such a terrible horrible good hellscape with you and survived. I hope the next time we meet it is over some tea and pastries and not on the verge of being crushed by objects. Taataa Videl, you’re welcome to have met me” and with that the sylvan elf waves at the other man before walking away to an inn to get some rest.
