Quest Name: The creation of Oozes Chapter: One Description: Where these creatures come from is still very much a mystery to us. We have yet to witness an Ooze being created. Do they give live birth, hatch from eggs, or just bud off from one another? We need you to venture deep into one of the many forests in Charon, locate an Ooze, and attempt to witness how new ones come into this world. However, we are not the only ones after information on the creature. A group of monster hunters have set out to rid the world of these creatures and will attempt to stop new ones from being created. Requirements: Requires at least two people (you and one other ) you must make at least 5 posts to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words Must locate and witness an Ooze being created without disturbing the creature. (They Bud from each other) Must protect the Ooze from a group of 5 monster hunters trying to kill it Once you complete this mission you gain access to chapter two. (which needs to be a separate topic)
Overhearing some others talking about some new Ooze creature in the forest. This piqued Sarnes's interest. There was a reward for any information on the Ooze and how it lived or was created without disturbing the creature. Could this even be done wondered Sarne. This could be a task that might take a while if accomplished right. For a Hunter like Sarne, this could be painless money. Not that Sarne needs money. But the experience and prestige of a job like that could help Sarne in many ways. Sane also heard there was a bounty for them too and many locals were actively stalking them. That the Adventurers and hunters were clashing over the Ooze. This was something Sarne did not want to happen and if Sarne could avoid such a fight with the hunters. Sarne was a skilled swordsman but not well known so people would make the mistake of challenging Sarne not knowing him well. Thinking Sarne thought he could get someone else to come along. Sarne had not been in town long so Sarne did not know anybody that well. Donovan had been a man he drank with a few times and seemed confident. A man of limited skill but seemed confident and might help out with this. Sarne would go search him out and ask Donovan. Seeing him at a different table Sarne walked over "Can I sit got to ask you something. Can I buy you a drink." offered Sarne.

Donovan sat alone in the shadowed corner of the dimly lit tavern, his timeworn leather-bound notebook spread open across the table. His quill moved with unwavering focus, capturing every intricate detail of their recent hunt, illustrating the eerie creatures they'd encountered, and etching cryptic symbols known only to seasoned hunters. Amidst this silent devotion to his work, the low murmur of tavern chatter reached his ears.
The buzz of conversation filled the air, eventually leading Donovan's thoughts to an intriguing topic: a new and enigmatic Ooze creature said to be lurking in the nearby forest. The promise of a handsome reward for information, all without disturbing the elusive entity, ignited his curiosity. Donovan's meticulous approach to his research and hunts made this challenge an enticing prospect. However, the topic also stirred a memory of a recent hunting party, where his fanatical obsession with the hunt had resulted in his expulsion from their ranks.
Sarne, a familiar face, approached Donovan. Donovan nodded in acknowledgment and carefully closed his leather-bound notebook, placing the quill to the side. He appreciated Sarne's directness and their shared history over a few drinks. The atmosphere in the dim tavern was laden with unspoken secrets, and Donovan was a man who understood the value of discretion.
"Of course, have a seat," he replied, shifting slightly to make room. Donovan welcomed the offer of a drink, responding with an air of intrigue, "I'll take that drink. Now, what mysteries have you brought to my table, Sarne?" He invited in his raspy tone.
His words were calculated and veiled, as if inviting Sarne to share only what was essential, fully aware of the implications of discussing such matters in a public setting. Donovan had a reputation for navigating the shadows, both figuratively and literally.

After sitting Sarne ordered the drinks. Then turned his attention to Donovan. Sarne glanced around. To see if anyone was paying attention. Sane was an experienced hunter and paid a time or two for not paying attention to the people around him.
Donovan a weary yet resolute hunter so Srane had heard bears the weight of his trials. Donovan wears a Bloodborne-inspired outfit, a dark and weathered hunter's coat embellished with silver accents. Perched atop his head is a tricorn hat a symbol of Donovan's allegiance to the ancient traditions of the hunt. Donovan's left arm bears a haunting tattoo—an intricate, arcane design that pulsates with dark energy, marking his fate with the very forces he battles against in the shadows.
"I have an offer for you. If you would like to travel with me. There is some new Ooze creature in the forest. There is a reward for any information on the Ooze creature and how it lived. How it is or was created without disturbing the creature." Started Sarne. Then stopped when the drinks were delivered by an attractive woman.
Sanre took a drink of his Ale. "I know this could be done if we do the task. This could be a task that might take a while if accomplished right," explains Sarne glancing to the side. "The experience and prestige of a job like that could help us in many ways. I have also heard there was a bounty for them too and many locals are actively hunting them." Added Sarne then he took a drink of his ale. "I could use your help on this one," Sarne said with sincerity.

Donovan accepted the drink and took a sip as he listened to Sarnes. He couldn't help but notice that Sarnes had an experienced hunter's awareness, a quality that Donovan himself used to possess before he had been unjustly excluded from the recent hunting party. He glanced around the tavern, instinctively checking the faces of those nearby, a habit ingrained in him from years of hunting and living on the edge.
As Sarnes spoke of the Ooze creature and the potential rewards for studying it without disturbing it, Donovan's interest was piqued, but there was more to it than just the promise of adventure. The proposition held the promise of payback against the hunting party that had turned its back on him, an opportunity to regain the recognition he once had among his fellow hunters.
"I know this could be done if we approach the task carefully," Donovan replied, his voice low and tinged with a sense of anticipation. "The experience and prestige from a job like this could indeed open new doors for us." He glanced at the notebook resting beside his drink, hiding the simmering desire for revenge behind a façade of caution.
Sarnes' mention of a bounty for the Ooze creature and the local hunters actively pursuing it made Donovan contemplate the potential risks involved, but it also stirred a sense of opportunity for settling a score. He nodded thoughtfully, acknowledging Sarnes' sincerity. "I've been away from the hunt for some time now, but I can't deny the allure of this endeavor. If you believe we can tackle this without resorting to needless conflict with the hunters, then count me in." Donovan raised his mug, a glint of determination in his eyes. "To a successful pursuit, Sarnes, and perhaps a reckoning of our own."

Lifing his Ale Sarne smiled. To our pursuits, and reckoning." toasted Sane then drank the Ale. looking around then back at Donovan in a hushed tone Sarne said. "Now I have done some of the... looking round earlier and know of what we seek. I know how to get back to that place last I was there it was well hidden and I don't think the other hunters know of it so far," explained Srane taking a sip of his ale.
Sarne wondered if this was the right move to invite him. He knew of the run-in with other hunters that was no secret. and how it turned out Sarne had overheard them talking before about it. Donovan looked to be part of a hunting party and Sane was after research. Sarne took another drink of Ale. He hand to make sure He heard Donovan correctly.
Sarne leand in for a momint. "So we are understanding one other. This is a research job and not a hunting and kill job," stated Sarne with a semi-sturn tone. Sane just had to make sure he heard Donovan right in this tavern.
Sarne smiled finishing the rest of his ale. "Ready to go when you are. Meet me out front of the tavern," suggested Sarne standing and flipping up his hood. Sarne started to walk out of the tavern.

Donovan pulled down his mask, took a sip of the ale, and quickly pulled it back up over his nose to keep his features hidden. He slowly leaned in slightly to be able to pick up everything that Sarne described. “ah, most intriguing. Though are you certain without a shadow of a doubt that these hunters have absolutely no knowledge of your little out cove?” Donovan hated leaving things up to chance; if he could mitigate any chance of the job going wrong, he would’ve done so. Though Sarne is leading this job and he would follow, he trusts the man’s intuition for the moment.
Then Sarne leaned on closer, and Donovan noticed a hint of uncertainty in his eyes. Donovan grimaced below his black mask; he knew what as coming next. For the short time he’s been here, he's already built up an unsavory reputation amongst the hunting parties. Donovan wasn’t offended at the question, though he sighed and replied, matching Sarne’s severe tone, “I am well aware of the nature of this assignment, Sarne, and slimes are not a part of my oath. They are not beasts that prey on the innocent; they are merely animals and shall not feel my wrath … lest proven otherwise.” Donovan let the heavy silence between the two linger a little longer before leaning back in his chair, arms crossed. “worry not, I only bloody my blade to those who deserve it.” A small manic smile appeared, though the only indication was the corners of his eyes lifting.
Donovan closed the metal binding of his notebook and placed it back into one of the many pockets of his black overcoat “I will be out shortly,” he stated as Sarne left the table. The smile presented as he thought of the ways he’d kill the other hunters. Once he saw Sarne leave the tavern, Donovan poured the ale onto the floor; drinking too much would cloud his already scattered mind, and he didn’t want to be rude. Donovan placed two solars on the wooden table and placed his sheathed longsword onto his belt. He glides like a specter in the night towards the cold outside of the tavern as he places his arms into his overcoat. Spotting Sarne leaned up against the building he strolled up to him, “Well, lead the way, and I will follow”.
