Everything has changed for her. Since Vulcadreaus had emerged, Lea had been feeling weird - After she and Remus had gotten kidnapped, and saved by a huge minotaur man, everything was okay for a while. Nobody would have predicted the emergence of Vulcadreaus, whom many admit, they weren’t even sure what it was. Nobody would have predicted what would happen after the fact.
Honestly she had been feeling weird since the Sol stone had been destroyed. Part of her had felt a surge of… Something. Something familiar and almost homely. But since Vulcadreaus…
Lea stared at the lines that ran down her hand, peeking out from her long sleeved shirt. It was a warm day in Zeinav… Well, every day was a warm day in Zeinav. Seeing someone in long sleeves was definitely not a normal sight.
There had been people checking on her. Remus, Daisy… Even Garrett showed an interest in being her friend now, since what they had gone through. She liked to think he appreciated the strength and protectiveness she showed then. Unfortunately, now, she had none of that left. She could sense Garrett, somewhere in the background, wanting to approach but unable to. It’s not like she would tell him anything anyways.
She closed her hand, the skin stretching and the veins, which were now lava-like in color, showing a bit more clearly. She stared at the rune resting on the back of her hand, and she sighed.
Everyone already thought she was a freak. Now what would they think?
She pulled herself away from that thought, shaking her head and staring out into the water. She had to go, right? She had to figure out what all of it meant, right?

There was always one person Azalea could count on to not judge anyone for being a 'freak'-- though perhaps that was because Izzy was a pretty big freak herself, but hey, who was counting? Not her, that was for sure, not unless it involved solars. The docks were one of the areas of the city Izzy tended to enjoy the most, even if she rarely got out this way lately. Too busy with work, the whole volcano thing (which was wack) and monitoring certain ongoing... investigations. To say the least. But there was always space among her day to day chaos that she could make for those in her orbit that she had an interest in at least keeping safe, not the least of whom was Sparks. The young woman had been... off. There was of course a fair bit of time where they simply had not seen one another, but it was Izzy's business to pick up on patterns in people, and Azalea was outside of her usual realm, from what Izzy had seen. A disquiet, a sombre thoughtfulness that spoke, to Izzy, of anxiety. And that simply would not do. She approaches the familiar silhouette at the docks while whistling tunelessy to announce her presence, offering a stuffed flatbread pita out for the young woman to consume while she stared moodily out at the water. Water was great, wasn't it? The lifes-blood of every civilization, every individual. "Sooo, we gonna talk about your staring contest with the ocean?" Izzy asks without any preamble whatsoever, leaning against the railing while she took a sharp toothed bite at her food.

She wasn’t surprised at the sudden appearance of her mentor. It wasn’t difficult to see her coming, anyways. But Lea couldn’t help but smile at the offer of food, taking it but not eating it. Lea stole a glance in her direction, a bit unsure on how to respond to her appearance. A part of her was thankful, of course. Whether it was Garrett or her parents, someone had to have informed Izzy of her unusual behavior, right?
As she watched Izzy eat her half of the pita bread, Lea looked down to stare at her half, covering her hands a bit more by pulling her sleeves down. The silence didn’t last, of course. Lea didn’t expect it to. But if there was anyone she could open up to, it’d be Izzy, right? Though part of her was worried that the fellblood would just tell her that she is overreacting. Not everyone had her confidence, though. Lea could only hope she understood that.
“I-uh, um…” Lea hesitated, staring over at the water again. “You know how… a couple weeks ago, or more, I can’t really remember… There were rumors about the Sol Stone being found, and subsequently destroyed?” She asked her quietly. “I’ve felt… I felt it being destroyed. I don’t really know how to explain it, but… I don’t know, I’ve felt different since it’s been gone. Like something is reaching out to me, I guess?” She stretched her hand again. The nervousness of speaking about it was showing clearly as well, both in her voice and her stature. Lea just seemed… uncomfortable. “Then with the… Dragon… God… Thing. It’s only gotten stronger. The feeling I mean. I just– I don’t know. I just think something is wrong with me.”
Lea continued to stare at the water, nervously awaiting the reaction, hugging her legs to her chest.

Izzy's chewing slows to a ponderous rhythm as she looks at Azalea quizzically. She blinks, once, owlishly, indicating she was at least listening, and trying to comprehend the words the young woman was saying.
The Thing that had come out of Mount Drakholt. The chaos that had laid waste to Charon these past few months. That something had felt strange and different as it reached through to Sparks through some emphemeral connection.
"...buh?" Swallowing thickly her half-chewed mouthful (ow), Izzy thumps her fist against her chest a couple of times to get the bolus down. "Gods, sorry. Okay. Leeets start from the top, shall we?" She holds up a finger, "Something is wrong with everyone, hon, that's what the pita is for. Second... you feel. A connection. To the giant fuck off being that was in the Volcano in the Ash Lands?"
There is a brief beat of a pause before Izzy cracks her usual lazy smile. "I dunno, that sounds pretty sick to me, but what do I know?"
More than she would care to admit.
"THAT'S not important right now, though. Buuut, bearing that in mind... what sorts of things are you experiencing that are making you feel weeeird?" she rolls her wrist to gesture broadly, flinging small pieces of halloumi and meat every which way before taking another gnashing bite. "I mean, you already have a volcanic type of appearance to you. And, more importantly, how does that concept make you feel?"
