The familiar sound of a bustling village drew closer as the fellblood made their way out of the forest, best friend in tow. The swooping breeze blew the leaves and petals of the nearby vegetation, raining down in a pleasant wind as Cebu flew around them like a little game of dodging. Ube laughed a little at her play. It’s been a long time since they returned to this specific village. They had hoped to get some home-food after traveling across Charon’s lands. There was, however, a very prominent problem: A large part of their solars were expended on said travels.
They walked through the town, waving at the few villagers who recognized them. A group of moon elven children ran over. “The berry person is back!” Ube smiled, happy to see these kids again. Cebu immediately took to entertaining the rest, flyibg circles around the group. The fellblood retrieved their book and charcoal from their makeshift belt, their tail just wrapped around the hip to keep their robes tightened. They wrote: Hello again Ishka. Do you know anyone here offering work? The auburn skinned elf looked upset. “Aw really? You come back and the first thing you wanna do is work? Mm… well an alchemist came in yesterday. I’m sure they can offer something. It’ll be towards the edge of town. She’s kind of weird.” The fellblood pat their head, ruffling it up a little as they showed their book again: I promise I’ll come by again and we’ll play a few games. Just need solars to stay at the inn and eat. It was nice to see the young ones after so long. A lot has changed in their time away.
Cebu finished her performance with one last flip before moving back to follow Ube to where this alchemist was. Potions weren’t too out of place for them so they could probably make a decent amount. Little to their knowledge, this job may be a little chaotic.

The voice of a young man, light and lilting, rang through the trees as Johannes walked his path. He had the wooden handle of his wood-axe resting against his shoulder, swinging at the limbs of bushes and trees in his way as he sang. "The road be long, and the day be longer, swing o'brother swing!". His words bounced with that accent that all farming and simple folk seem to share, one that betrays his upbringing to any what hear it. Johannes continued to hack his way through the underbrush of the forest, clearing his path, and singing the whole way with not a care at all. "It's the headsmans axe or the fishmans daughter, so swing o'brother swing!".
Johannes reached into his pocket, his fingers slipping out of the hole he had accidentally torn in it, and he laughed at being reminded of it. He reached into his other pocket, producing a potato he had managed to swipe from a town he had just left, and swiftly took a bite out of it. "Aye," He thought, "What a day, hope I can scrounge up a few solars before night...I don't wanna camp out again tonight...". As he reached the edge of the forest and found himself standing on an actual dirt road, Johannes smiled in relief and slipped his axe under the length of plant-fiber lashing he used as a belt to sinch his tunic at the waist, and he started off towards civilization once more. He was sure there would be work for him, even if he had to stay a few days and chop wood for people. As much as he enjoyed doing so, he was going to look for some other means of financial gain, or at the very least find something that wasn't as physically strenuous.
Taking off into the streets of the village he opted to whistle the chorus of his song, walking by the bustle with a smile on his face and his hands behind his head, loving the warm air and the sun on his face.

A hulking individual stood near the entrance to the alchemist’s, using a rather large and heavy lumber axe like a drawknife to carve and smooth out the log framing to the door. He dwarfed the doorway by association, his horns sitting broader and his height resting a little taller than the space allowed, so that when he had to reach inside occasionally for some sanding implement or oil, he had to turn his head sideways at a weird angle and stoop, lest be became lodged like a Stag in a bramble. His strokes and rhythm was kept by a low humming from his throat, as shavings and sawdust fell to the ground like oaken snow.
He was so focused is his work, he hadn’t even noticed Ube approach the shop, the only greeting he gave to them being the absentminded, involuntary wiggling and twitching of his long, fluffy, bovine tail, that peeked through a hole in the back of his suspended jeans. The thick red hair that fell in cloudy swirls over his eyes likely wasn’t doing many favors for his perception. It wasn’t until they were nearly to the door, that He turned to look at them, lifting his hair to reveal one of his green eyes, before letting it fall as he placed his hands on his hips and leaned down. His smile was pearly white, and stretched from ear to ear, complete with a couple of larger-than-normal incisors. He had a lean to his stance, not a lazy slouch, but more a means to look down at the shorter fellblood.
“Howdy, hun! Don’t s’pose yer here fer that brew testin’ work, huh?”

Like every morning Adam rose right at sunrise. Yet unlike every other morning the sounds of the a giant city wasn't what woke him, birds chirping and leaves rusting is what he arose to. This was his third day staying in Moonveil Village on academy business, his task was to document the local flora and fauna of the surround forest along with investigating potential future prospects. In all honesty Adam wasn't quite sure on what they meant by future prospects but he had a feeling fate would bring him to where ever he needed to be, but nonetheless he ventured out into the village to start the day. As he stepped out he took a deep breath of the clean forest air around him, it was something he still hadn't gotten used to yet. As Sol City's air felt heavy and crowded, here it felt like he had a new pair of lungs with every breath.
Adam's eyes stayed glued to his notepad as he made his way through the quant village; 1his bag gently floating behind him with a bright blue aura emanating from it. His hand speeding across the page as he wrote what ever small idea came to his mind at that moment. Until he felt a pressure in his head as his eyes glowed a dull yellow, the threads of fate revealed themselves. He let out a small sigh as he continued to keep his eyes on the page, he wouldn't let his visions stop him from his task he was sent here to do. Plus he didn't feel like interacting with people at the moment. Yet the visions persisted with every step he took, until his pace was halted when he bumped into what felt like the trunk of a tree. He took a step back to see a pillar of a man with two large horns sticking out of their head "Oh my goodness I am incredibly sorry about that, I wasn't watching where I was going, I'll just take my leav-". He stopped his sentence and noticed a couple of threads wrapping together as they entered the building. The wrapped threads seemed to consist of the tall man's, the fellblood he was talking to, one other that he couldn't see who it originated from and of course his own.
He blinked as the visions faded away and he sighed as he knew fate was willing him to interact with these people. Then like clockwork a reason to interact further presented itself, potion testing. Who was he if he didn't follow what fate wanted and he played along "um excuse me sir, what was this about a brew testing?"

Before Ube could get a word in, the door the horned man was working on suddenly bursts open as a shiny leather shoe pokes out from the doorway. "Do I hear someone interested in brew testing?! Ah crap, sorry bull dude. I'll pay you a couple more solars for that." Stepping out of her apothecary, an odd women exited: A skin of lighter complexion and dressed in overalls, stained pants of unrecognizable origin, and a comically large white coat. Though, the strangest part about her was the hair, it being completely comprised of water that represented the shape of long and flowy locks. She had a sort of excitement on her face, one you would find on child having a birthday. Troublingly, the baby blue eyes had look of an eccentric written all over it. "So, I suppose you gentlemen-" She scans the fellblood and half-elf as if studying the two. "are here to make some solars correct."
Ube was a little uncomfortable by the sudden noise and appearance of this strange lady. They looked over at the tanned fellow who had arrived, attempting to gauge what exactly they wanted in this predicament. Cebu held no such worries over the sudden alchemist, in fact testing her curiosities as she attempted to fly into the women's hair to see if it was truly water. The fellblood panicked at their companion's disregard for personal space, reaching for her to stop her. Almost unnaturally, the women stepped quickly out of the way as both Cebu and Ube passed her by, Ube falling flat on the floor. "I'll take that as a yes! Come in mister elf. Oh and you too Mr. Mavnon. You look like you have the constitution for something like this. Just need one more sucker- I mean, a good samaritan to help" She began scanning the area like a hawk for a suitable subject. "Name's Phina by the way. Don't forget it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to find the next breakthrough in alchemy."
The fellblood, a bit embarrassed, picked themselves off the floor and dusted off. Cebu circled overhead. I swear she's a child. Looking now into the room they fell into, it appeared to be recently moved into. A few mahogany tables were scattered around the walls, a few boxes on the floor with a couple ones on the tables and on a counter near the back wall. A handful of shelves were already filled with what appeared to be a variety of potions, old labels glued to them, Interestingly, a multitude of them were written in different languages: Elvish, orcish, a good few being ones of unknown origin. The liquids themselves also carried a variety in them. Different colors, some bubbling while others contained strange contents inside. It was clear to Ube that whoever this was, she was most certainly very involved in her craft.

Johannes walked through the streets, still whistling his tune, when sudden motion caught his attention. From the corner of his eye he could swear he saw not only just two different individuals with horns, but as he was fast approaching another came barreling outwards past the larger fellow with hair that flowed like water! "Bingo, that's the ticket.", he thought to himself. Silencing his song he briskly jogged over towards the small group that had culminated at the door of this strange little shop. When he finally found himself standing in front of the building, he was a little out of breath, but even so he made a gracious (if a bit exaggerated) bow to the group of strangers. "No need to fear, fellow wanderin' wastrels, for your knight in....rather dirty linen has arrived!" He chuckled to himself at that last comment, indeed dusting his brown tunic off with his hands and sending little puffs of dried dirt flying off in shimmering, mineral laden clouds that slowly drifted down to its rightful place on the ground. He once again reached into his pocket, procuring his half eaten potato and taking another swift bite from it before returning it to its place in his trouser pocket. Wiping his mouth, which only seamed to mark his face with a streak of dirt from his arm, he spoke with the mouthful of potato still unchewed in his cheek. "So, what're we doin'? Fightin' off beasties? Sendin' bandits screamin' and a'hollerin' into the woods? Ooh! Is there a great monster need slayin'?" He spoke with the gusto of one who has quite obviously never done anything of the sort, something that some may find charming, if completely childish. Even so, his smile radiated with confidence in his ability, even with the slightly large gap between his two front teeth once again betraying his somewhat foolhardy and childish nature. He gave another exaggerated gesture to the water-haired woman, saluting like soldier at the ready. "Ready to serve, mum, just say the word!" Perhaps surprising for a human, he did not seem to care to mention or acknowledge the assortment of races gathered here in this one spot, so far from port, so deep in the mainland.

The faeborne was the first to break the silence, slapping his hands on his thighs in what could only be described as that manner that dads do before getting up from their seat to do some task.
“Welp! No use waitin’ out here when there’s jobbin’ to be done! Oh, and don’t worry ‘bout it none, young’n.”
He gave a nod towards Adam, before carefully squeezing past the now-chipped doorway (there were whispers of a sigh), standing inside the building at a slight crouch. His hands wrapped around his horns, as if he was cautious as to not accidentally ram a horn into a beaker or bottle, or, with his upturned points, get them stuck into the ceiling. His fingers danced along the table as he made a selection, finally deciding upon a sort of glittery, iridescent black bottle, with chunks of what almost looked like well-marbled meat floating about within. He picked it up, and, without hesitation, popped the cap with his thumb and downed the entirety of its contents in only a couple gulps.

"I was going to pick who was going to go first but it seems that Mr. Mavnon beat me to pick." The water haired woman said as she sifted through the pockets on her coat, then quickly producing a small notepad and quill. Her eyes lined every inch of Kluas inspecting any obvious effects of the potion. seeing no sudden change she huffs a sigh and placed her hands on her hips "oh come on, I thought that one was going to be big! I spent like 2 days on it and nothing!" Her expression shifted to delight as Kluas' hair suddenly went from an orangish red to an obnoxiously bright pink, with the color shift also came a puff of glitter from his head. "Not the effect I was hoping for but it is nice to see that it at least had one, also Mr. Mavnon that color suits you." She said with a wink before looking down to her notepad, scribbling down notes as she spoke to herself in a hushed tone.
She quickly looked back up and scanned the other three present in the shop, seeing who would want to go next before her eyes locked onto Adam. "You short one, you're up next!" Adam tried to object but all he could do was stammer and stutter as Phina pushed a vial into his hands, "Um, what does this one do?" Adam worriedly asked. The liquid in vial matched the color of his dark blue robes but it appeared to swirling in different directions. Phina leaned down and placed her hand on his shoulder with a warm smile "I don't know, now drink up". This didn't make Adam any less worried but he was told to drink and couldn't find an excuse not to, so he popped the cork, took a quick whiff and down the potion. His faced puckered as the liquid had tasted like eating hundreds of sour candies at the same time, but he endured and swallowed it. For a brief second he waited with held breath until he slowly started to rise, at first he though it was because he had started floating. However his feet still feeling the ground under him suggested otherwise, he quickly looked down to see that he had grown to about the height of Klaus. But it seemed the only thing that had grown was his legs, which made him look like he was on a weird pair of flesh stilts.

Phina began jotting down in her notepad while mumbling to herself. "Height growth needs distribution effects... Subject received major growth in legs... Ok, you demon. Drink." She reaches over to the counter and tosses a bottle to Ube, the fellblood stumbling to catch it. They brought it to eye level, staring it over. Thing was... there appeared to be nothing in the bottle. They looked to Phina, motioning to the bottle. "It's supposed to be like that, just drink!"
Ube popped the cork off, a little panicked from the yell, as a foul smell entered the room. Cebu dug herself into the fellblood's chest and as they covered their nose. The smell was reminiscent of rotten meat left in the sun all day. Ube exhaled through their teeth and brought the bottle to their lips. They could feel the invisible liquid enter. The taste itself was lacking, only leaving the feel of something moving, comparable to drinking air. Almost immediately, the fellblood's skin began to exhaust a thick fog. It filled the room, clouding the group's vision.
"Excellent! Finally a win!" The sound of sprinting along the wooden floor was heard as the sliding of a window sounded. The fog began to pour out, leaving a few puffs of gray fog on the floor. Ube let out loud coughs, feeling out of breath. They held their chest for a moment. "Gonna be real useful from the rogues and spies. Now, who's next?"

"Ooh! Ooh! Me! Gimme the gnarliest one ye' got, I can take it!"
The young man was practically vibrating with excitement, a certain level of enthusiasm that might unnerve the typical villager, but this motley crew was hardly typical.
"Perfect! Here, try this one on for size..", she said as she practically batted a round-bottomed flask off her desk towards Johannes.
He snatched it out of the air like a hawk would a sparrow, fingers clenched around its circumference like talons as he inspected the contents of the bottle itself. It more or less looked like a bit of seaweed floating in water, spinning in a small vortex that had been made from the jostling of the flask as it flew through the air. Johannes shrugged and popped the cork from its top, filling his nose and indeed the room, with a pleasant floral aroma. Surprised, but not put off by the strange scent of the perfume, Johannes held his flask to the others.
"Cheers to the friends I've yet to make, cheers to the enemies I've lost, and cheers to everyone in between!"
With that salute to his fellow strangers, he pressed the lip of the bottle to his own and drank heartily from it. As he did, the immediate expression of one regretting his decision twisted his features into an uncomfortable grimace. He pulled away from the empty bottle, lips pursed as if he had just sucked on a lemon.
"Sweet sequoia that's sour-"
He says, but stops as his eyes go wide. He chokes out a strangled gurgling sound before dropping to one knee, holding his neck. When he finally rises, holding a finger to the strangers in the room to signal them to wait, he clears his throat and speaks.
"That was the sour'st drink I 'er did sip-"
His voice practically shook the room, reverberating in the chest of everyone who could hear him. It had dropped incredibly low, giving him a gravely and bassy tone. He quickly put a hand over his mouth, surprised at first but quickly finding his new voice hilarious. He couldn't contain his giddy, extremely deep giggling as Phia quickly scrawled the results of her potion down.
"Well, that's not particularly useful, but still interesting I suppose...what else do I have lying around here..."
