This was her first venture into the city since…. Well, since she was a child. Part of her was a bit nostalgic for it. Sure, it’s only been five or six years, but the last time she was within these walls, it was a business meeting between her father and a dignitary from… Somewhere. She didn’t remember at all. Her father had so many of those meetings that she wondered how he kept track of it. Though, now it was her turn.
Since regaining her namesake’s property in Moonglade, and as her name became more well known, in relation not only to the Arcana of the Storm, but also the new head of the Tento noble house, she had been considering how to rebuild her family name. Now with Soren back with her, and by her side, the two of them can start rebuilding the relations between the Seiko family, and the rest of Moonglade. Of course, first thing was first. He had to recover, and they had to make it known that they were back.
It was a good thing Celeste had a mind for business, and it was good that Soren was back as well. It was going to take time, but the Seiko family was going to have their nobility back. Networking, of course, was key. Where to start with that, Celeste was not entirely sure.
For now, she was more than happy just showing her face in the city again - Something she had been far too afraid to do beforehand. She happily strutted through the marketplace. Celeste was definitely going to need to get some new clothes for this new venture.

The Witch was diligent in her errands, rising early to get everything done and everyone met in a timely fashion. Not only that, but the Black Quills were also put to work. Having her crows and sparrows fluttering and flying in a coordinate way was proving to be a bit more challenging than she first anticipated...
"....I see ye started listening to Papa Etienne, eh?"
The Purple Lantern was nearly empty at that time of the day, the purple light of the magical lanterns sliding over the glossy feathers of her cloak. With the Black Quills running their own errands, the Witch of Moonglade sat alone, her head down as she seemed to scour for a handful of papers that looked like letters...
Or at least as alone as she could get.
The chair by her side was occupied by an older gentleman, dressed in an elegant suit, cane and hat at hand to match. The face paint was the only thing that didn’t seem to match his noble elegance, resembling that of a white skull, his eyes shining intensely from what looked like empty sockets.
Yet, his whole figure was slightly translucent at times, faltering between the world of the living and of the dead. Ghosts were not commonplace even in Moonglade, let alone one that looked so poised and charming.
"Well, since you're here, I might as well enjoy the ride too, right?"
His voice was raspy, and when he chuckled, it was hard not to hear that sound of rattling bones.
"I'm glad you said that."
Slowly, she rose her eyes from the papers before her, finding a smug smile on the man's face.
"........Etienne, what did you do?"
"I just reached out to a few potential clients."
"Etienne...."
"Trust your old Etienne, girl. You need to branch out a little, you know..."
Kamille put down her letter, pinching the bridge of her nose and letting out a tired sigh. While she couldn’t deny the ghost manifested in her life in an interesting time, to say the least, Étienne seemed intent on shaking her life - going out on his merry way, making decisions that affected her without consulting her first.
And worst of it all, it looked like Mischief took a liking to the old gentleman, truly kindred spirits. The raven wasn’t inside the tavern with his Mistress, but instead flying around the market, following a figure as he has been instructed by Étienne.
"Caaaaaaaaaaw.... Caw caw! Hello!"

Celeste set foot in the Purple Lantern - A fairly old establishment, but one she was never allowed to visit before. She was far too young, beforehand. Now that she was older, and the head of her house, there was no one stopping her. She looks around as the door closes behind her, and she finds a seat open near the window. Of course, she had noted the Witch of Moonglade, and apparently her ghostly friend? Celeste wondered if he could detect another ghost. The thought sort of made her nervous. Nonetheless, she would order her tea, and mind her business.
Her business, actually, was something that she needed to really think about. Her family was primarily a war family - The Seiko name was known to be one made of blood and death. Which fits. Because they are, or were, vampires. While Soren was fine continuing on the name in bloodshed, Celeste wanted something less… Abrasive. At least for now, while they gathered themselves. A stealthier approach to her family’s legacy, maybe? Celeste seemed very lost in thought as she considered her options.

Celeste's presence certainly didn't go unnoticed. In a matter of moments after she entered, she could notice a pair of shinning eyes on her - or at least that's what she would think, as she couldn't see his eyes clearly. Étienne looked like an elegant gentleman, but the white mask painted on his face not only gave off a rather tribalistic feeling, but also made it look like his eye sockets were empty... Save for the intense glint coming from them. The other ghost wouldn't stand idle for much. His image faltered from where he was, and soon he approached Celeste's table. He seemed to be... A little weaker on the world of the living, as if his existance was conditioned. He didn't make a sound where he'd go, and sometimes even the sunlight seemed to make his image falter. " Ahhh... Good morning, young lady! Might the young lady pardon this old one for intruding, but it's not everyday we are allowed to mingle with... Someone like our own." Touching lightly on his hat as he did a light bow for Celeste, the man kept a respectful distance, and a somewhat... charming smile, despite the eeriness of his eyes. Warm, even beyond the veil. Subtle notes of tobacco and cognac lent some interesting gravitas to his presence, a warmth that was not at all overpowering, but instead lifting. The chill of the grave definitely didn't reach that one.

Such simple words, yet she knew exactly what he meant. One like our own. She had sensed his presence, and apparently he did hers. He was apparently much older than she, as he image only faltered when she found herself surprised. The ghostly figure had pulled her out of her line of thinking, and she couldn’t help but falter a little, her own figure blinking into a see-through state for a split second before she gathered herself.
Celeste paused, glancing over at the woman he walked away from. The Witch of Moonglade. She then focused her attention back on him. “Well you’re certainly the first one I’ve met in my travels,” She admits. “It’s rare for phantoms to be in the same place at the same time, yes? But it seems you had business here.” Celeste replies with the shadow of a smile on her lips. She did nod over towards Kamille. “So what’s a ghost’s business with one of the most powerful beings in the area?” She asked curiously.

A knowing smile crept up his lips, making his eyes glint with renewed interest. It definitely wasn't commonplace for ghosts to meet - yet alone ghosts that were not so bogged down by traumatic events that left their own selves twisted and lost to time. They were both very much their old selves, or at least that's what he assumed of the young lady before him. "It is rare, isn't it?! Ah! Forgive me my manners. I'm Mr. Étienne Verlithax, formerly known as Hexmancer, voodoo king of the oooold times. Don't worry if you haven't heard of me - most t'ings from before the Collapse is sadly lost or twisted... And who do I owe the pleasure of talking to today, hm?" Which meant, if he was telling the truth, that he was from before the Collapse. He looked somewhat pleased that Celeste would refer back to the Witch, waiting for her to present herself before continuing. He made a swift and subtle gesture with his cane towards the lady he left. He let out a soft cackle, and for a moment it was a sound that resembled to bones hitting against one another. " I'm sorry, it's just so unusual to me... I never expected to come back to the world of the living under this conditions... My purpose is very simple, actually. It's the one business that an ancestor has towards their sucessors: To see them thriving, of course." Here he seemed to be claiming that he was the Witch's ancestor, and... that didn't feel hard to believe. The smile on his eyes told such a story. "But ya can still talk shit 'bout her if ya want to. I won't tell."
That was a bit harder to believe, but he was obviously being playful.

She couldn’t help but find his energy sort of comforting, as she giggles at his response about their kind being rare. As he introduced himself, she bows her head. “Celeste Seiko. No formerly known as-es. Apparently, my life was much more boring than yours. Thankfully, my current one, not so much.” The Seiko family was one well known in the Crescent Isles, as one of the oldest noble families, that had recently lost their place in society after being hunted down for their abilities. Any history buff would know such a thing, but rumors of their comeback were getting louder and louder recently, as it was rumored that the eldest was rescued from a cult by the youngest.
She recognised the surname, and as he gestured over to Kamille, whom she was unsure as to whether or not she was paying much attention to them, she smiled. “Well, she’s certainly made a name for herself. No one comes to Moonglade without knowing who she is. I would certainly never purposefully mess with her.” She answers with a shrug. "Though it is certainly a pleasure to make your acquaintance, sir Etienne." She added, with another small bow of her head.

Étienne's eyes lighted up as Celeste mentioned her current life, and it was hard to shake the feeling that he must've been quite a charmer in life. He paid attention, he was interested - genuinely, and he conducted himself rather gentlemanly, if only a bit mischievous towards the good Witch. Once again he bowed his head ever so slightly, touching his hat.
"Pleasure is all mine, sweet child. Pardon me, Lady Seiko. I... assume? Lady? It is hard to simply drop one's whole teachings. It comes through."
Despite being well versed in his own field, her family name didn't ring a bell. He's been dead for way too long to remember or know family names.
"Oh! Don't sell yerself so short! I'm sure ya must have some interesting stories up yer sleeve, hmmmm?"
"Don't disturb the other patrons, Étienne."
If there was a doubt if Kamille was paying attention to them, that seemed to be a sign. Although she was not exactly listening on their conversation, she noticed Étienne talking to someone else, and seemed to assume he was being a bother.
"Oi! I'm not disturbing the good Lady, no! I'm making a friend! Would you like to meet my new friend?"
Kamille raised her eyes from the papers before her. Despite claiming to be her ancestor, the Witch seemed to still be at odds - or at least at hard angles - with the charming ghost of her bloodline. She sighed, apparently tired.
"I'm sorry, my Lady. I hope he's not being a bother."
