It was a rare moment where Fish had little to do on a given day. The past few months have been increasingly busy for the young bird. Lots of crimes to commit and things to steal, through that on top of the occasional medical lessons or their own scientific research. They sure were overworked. Today, they decided to spend their day off considering more schemes and scams. They perch atop a building overlooking the market district of Sol City. A vibrant and bustling place with plenty of marks to take advantage of. Fish squints their eyes at the town criers that happen to be milling around. "CHARON SUMMER FESTIVAL, JUST AROUND THE CORNER, GET YOUR FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES READY." The trio in the market call out, waving around handfuls of paper as they try to spread the word. Festival? Fish tilts their head curiously. They were unaware of anything like that, but then again they didn't exactly have a normal childhood. Or life in general. What all went on at a festival? There were a lot of questions the bird suddenly had. The biggest one forming was how could they make money out of this? At the end of the day that was always Fish's goal.
Quest Name: Posted Around Participants: Two or more Location: Sol City Post Requirements: 4 post per person, 200 words per post Reward: +1 Renown Description: The Charon Summer Festival is right around the corner, and the city is asking for locals to help with the posting of advertisements. The task is rather simple, just take a stack of flyers, posters or news letters, and post them around the city. Visit local businesses or crowded sections of the city. You can pass them out or nail them to a corner post. However you go about it is up to you, just get the word out!

When the recruiters looking for volunteers saw Lumen, there wasn't much other choice but to ask for the draconyhn's help, now was there? Over 8 feet tall and with scales so shiny that you'd mistake them for real gold, Lumen was perfect for the role of grabbing people's attention. She grabbed a few stacks of fliers from the hands of an elf blinking gold-dracon-horn-induced-spots out of their eyes and went to work. An odd action from someone who had only been in Sol City for a few hours.
Lumen couldn't help but think she had gotten side-tracked far too easily from her original goal in Sol City but she couldn't help wanting to explore a new place a bit. Plus, it wasn't like her parents were here to judge her actions. So, she'll do what she wants. Her trade work here would take time to finish, anyway. It could wait a bit longer.
She didn't know the streets of Sol City, but living in Zeinav's busy atmosphere had ingrained in her the ways of dodging civilians too in a rush to care what or who might be in the way. Lumen especially looked out for dwarves. She did not need another incident like last time and didn't feel like ruining her pretty new sky-colored dress. Those who weren't in a blind hurry would stare at her as she walked a good two to three heads above everyone. If one of the gawkers happened to be close, she'd grin at them as she had learned to do from her friends back home (lots of practice to make sharp teeth look friendly instead of threatening) and hand them a flier for the festival.
The group of festive messengers was much more organized near the market district and there was a set rotation for volunteers. Lumen was sent to relieve three of them from their duties for the day, as they'd been at it for hours. She heard the distant call of perfectly in-sync voices and knew she was going the right way. The volunteer organizer had said to listen for triplets, and now it was pretty obvious what they meant.
In a flash of glittering gold, Lumen turned onto the shaded street that the three announcers had set up on. Though the flare of light bounced off of her for only a second, it was enough to get the attention of a few people who had either been walking in her direction or milling about. Lumen caught the eyes of one of the triplets and waved with a grin. Seeing her, the man turned to his other siblings and all three stopped their shouting to mutter words between themselves that Lumen couldn't hear and couldn't care less about. With a shrug, she simply continued walking toward the trio at the other end of the road.

The very large draconic figure entering the market certainly caught Fish's attention. From a rough estimation, Izzy would not be happy about this. Not in the slightest. Good thing she isn't here, that might mess up the scheme fomenting in Fish's mind.
They scramble down the side of the building and into the alley to watch the crowd for a bit longer. This person definitely drew a lot of attention.....If Fish could rope them in, then Fish could get a lot more going. Scheme time.
Fish slips into the crowd, staying hidden in the shadows of the people.[1] Their small frame and skill made it seem like they just melted into any shadow. The aviankin crossed the sea of people to one of the other carnival barkers.
A few of those flyers were snuck out of the bag, the bird taking a minute to study them before starting to craft a fake flyer. It is an incredible replication though, nearly identical, but with a few authentic looking changes.[2]
As they work, they continously check over their shoulder to keep an eye on Lumen. They needed to catch her before she got to the others or this would be much harder to sell. With the fake done they swipe a spare official badge and skitter through the crowd.
The two and a half foot tall bird taps Lumen on the leg to get her attention, making sign language up at her to see if she understands. If she does, Fish asks "Are you the new help? There is a new spot to set up."
If Lumen does not understand sign language, the bird has just made some weird hand motions up at her.

Lumen felt a tapping on her leg and has to stop herself from almost stepping on the small creature. It was like they appeared out of nowhere!
"Well, hello there, lovely little bird! Where did you come from?" she asks, tilting her head down. Her tail curls around one of her legs to be completely safe so that she doesn't hit the little one. Luckily she had the foresight to tie back her wings today. Lumen inspects the creature in her head quickly, having the thought that such shining feathers would look wonderful with any colors. She also notices the badge. "Ah, you're an official? Haha! Sol City is certainly interesting so far!".
When the crow/raven creature starts 'talking', Lumen is a bit puzzled by the hand gestures. She knew very little sign language. Just about enough to figure out basic words and charades her way through the rest of the conversation. All she caught was 'you', 'help', and 'spot/place' and that there was a question. She really should learn more.
"Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Do you need help? I'm supposed to be switching out with those three over there." Lumen bent down to get closer to Fish's level and pointed to the triplets, dirtying the bottom of her deep blue dress a bit. Though still towering over them, it's rude to talk down to someone, y'know? She continued. "I only know a little bit of sign language," and made a pinching symbol with her claws to denote 'small'. There was an apologetic look in her eye. "It's a pleasure to meet you though," she smiled.

If Fish could grumble in disappointment and frustration, they would. Fish was used to not being able to speak to people, but these really didn't make things easy on them. Fine, let's go the long way around for this.
They hold up a finger to tell Lumen to wait as they dig into their hip bag. It takes a moment amongst the clanking of glass vials but they pull out a piece of chalk and slate.
"Change of plans, assistance is need with the sign up booth." Fish hands them their modified flyer.
It looked to be an entirely legitimate and real flyer as Lumen inspected it. From the information on the flyer, she could reason they were signing up people for different games and collecting the entrance fee. There were a few different games and contests going on, wrestling tournaments, throwing competitions, lots of things were having a roster would help.
Fish points over to a space off to the side where they can set up their makeshift little stand. They erase the chalk and write again.
"Fish has all the necessary paperwork, Fish just needs someone to control the line and bring people over." They nod firmly, trying to sell them on their confidence alone.
