Danae's travel and stay at the Ashlands has been pretty average. Her hunting trips of the various lost cultists from the volcano have proven more and more difficult over time, which is both a good and bad thing. Good, because the cultist presence is either incredibly low or they've all gone into hiding. Bad, because her repentance has taken a slow halt.
Generally, there is some reward for killing off cultists. With the lowered number, the rewards have lessened significantly, but that comes second for her own reasons for hunting them. The money is a nice bonus, though. Danae now is walking into Darkveil City, a bag slung over one shoulder, and her halberd slung over the other.
Walking in is a rather impressive looking human woman, standing at about 6'5 with what seems to be lightly damaged half-plate armor. The armor doesn't seem to impede mobility in the slightest. Flowing from atop her head is snow-white hair, flowing to about mid-back that looks well cared for. Her eyes are a pair of piercing blue eyes that seem to see right through people. Her clothing covers most of her body, except her head, neck and hands. Her hands are calloused, but the rest of her skin looks strangely pristine.
Her halberd strapped to her back looks incredibly ornate. The blade and spear head look to be made of Adamantine, and along the axe-heads edge seems to be script in an unfamiliar language. The engravings are inlaid with silver, highlighting it against the dark metal. Along the dark oak shaft is more of the scripture, however it is not inlaid with anything.
Danae is primarily lost in her own mind as she walks. Currently, she's wanting to head to the guard barracks to hand in various cult items that she took from various corpses as identification. She doesn't expect much, but then again, the reward is simply a nice treat. The phantom pain of tattoos being removed lightly aches at her back, but she doesn't mind it. It's the feeling of progress, after all.

As Danae walks down the street, she comes across an odd road block when turning the corner. A very large silver-colored storm drake is laying on the ground, the length of its body blocking her path entirely. It's back is to her and subsequently the saddle which adorns it. It's evident that it has been lying there for some time as there is a thin layer of ash coating its body. The drake, however, is fully awake and alert, looking in the opposite direction from Danae.
From further down the street past the drake, there seems to be some sort of altercation taking place between some shady folk.
Without having to get past the drake, Danae would see that there is a heavy wagon with a tarp covering the top of it stopped in the street with a pair of black horses hitched to it. There is a driver up on the wagon, but their features are obscured by the heavy cloak and face covering they wear, not an uncommon sight in Darkveil from what Danae may have noticed so far.
The driver seems to be on edge, fidgeting with the reins in their hands while a half dozen other hooded figures are standing around the wagon having some sort of argument with what appears to be a dark grey-skinned fellblood.
Unlike the goons standing around the wagon, the fellblood does not have a hood up or anything obscuring their face which makes it easy to see the unimpressed expression adorning his face. He stands amongst the seemingly hostile hooded figures with one hand resting on his hip casually, appearing unbothered by the tension between him and those he was confronting, or being confronted by. This fellblood was also dressed much nicer than the others with a dark coat accented with gold trim which matches the engraved caps on the tips of his horns making him stand out from the more shady dressed thugs.
Next to the front of the drake is a young dark elf with lilac skin leaning against a wall with her arms folded. Her hood is up and her face is turned away from Danae's direction as she just watches the situation go down. While the fellblood appears to be completely unarmed, this individual has a bladed whip coiled at her hip and what seems to be a pair of long fighting knives tucked into sheathes strapped to the outside of her tall knee-high leather boots.
Approaching the odd scene results in the silver drake turning its head to look at Danae. This also draws the attention of the dark elf who gives the white haired woman a once over before waving her over.

Danae is snapped out of her thoughts upon encountering the drake. It's not the first time she's encountered one, but it's usually when they're awfully angry at her and trying to kill her. Not the most fun times. This one seems tamed, however, if the saddle is any indication of that.
Her attention turns toward the altercation. Group of cloaked individuals seemingly rather upset at the Fellblood - who is surprisingly well dressed for the Ashlands. Generally, people with enough money to buy clothing like that don't like getting them ashy, and would generally wear a fancy cloak over their fancy clothes. Not this one, apparently.
Noting the dark elf and her weapon, curiosity does begin to build as she approaches. Quickly, the drake hears her, which promptly brings the attention of the dark elf to her, who surprisingly enough waves her over. Shrugging, she walks up next to the woman, her eyes not leaving the scene unfolding in front of them.
"Afternoon. The hells going on here? Looks like the Fellblood is about to get sacrificed with all the creepy hoods." She jokes lightly, thoroughly amused at the fellbloods complete lack of care. Hell, at most he looks inconvenienced by this turn of events. Now that Danae is slightly closer, the man looks slightly familiar. "Ah, shit that's Zarius, isn't it?" She cocks her head to the side. She's been in the Rookery a few times in the past, and she's almost certain she's seen him around at some point.
For now, though, she stands and simply watches the commotion go on, a faint smile of amusement on her lips.

"Oh, you know, standard shady Darkveil shit."
The dark elf shrugs, oddly comfortable with the towering white haired woman. The drake on the other hand, lowers its head closer to her and takes in her scent, nostrils flaring. There's a low rumble in the back of the drake's throat.
The dark elf looks at the drake and frowns. "What's wrong girl? It's just Mei." She then gives Danae a perplexed look after her comment. "...Or not. Who the fuck are you?"
Zarius glances over his shoulder at hearing the conversation. In that moment, one of the hooded figures lets their nerves get the better of them and they strike forward at the fellblood's face with a hidden dagger. He reacts quickly and grabs the man's wrist before throwing them over his shoulder and onto the ground.[1,2] The fellblood then promptly stomps on the man's shoulder and twists his arm hard until it audibly pops.
"AGH!" The man shouts in pain as his arm is dislocated.
The other goons jump back a bit and draw their random assortment of swords, daggers, and crossbows.
"Do not do anything stupid," Zarius warns, an intimidating aura exuding from his mere presence.[3]
This gets the thugs to back off more, fear visible in their eyes. But the thing about Darkveil locals is that when you tell them NOT to do something stupid, you can be sure at least one of them will see that as a challenge.
One of the goons that is closer to Danae and the young dark elf glances their way and decides against all better judgement to try and get some leverage in this situation, and a hostage would be some decent leverage.
The goon takes one step back before bolting towards the two women, drawing a short sword and reaching out with his free hand to try and get the much shorter dark elf in a grapple.
"The fuck?" the dark elf reaches for her whip but doesn't quite get it in hand before the goon is well within close quarters. "Get back you creep!"
Zarius sighs, exasperated as he just lets the man fuck around and find out, taking note of Danae and waiting to see if she intervenes or not.

"Mm, sounds about right." She says in response. The woman's comfort with her is definitely strange, and she quirks an eyebrow just as the drake begins growling. Perhaps not as friendly as I'd hoped.
"Definitely not Mei, that's for sure. Danae." She introduces, extending a hand to her. Her attention snaps over to Zarius who just dislocated a poor guys shoulder, then promptly triggering some sort of aura effect, judging by the unanimous hesitancy of the attacking group. Interesting.
One of the cloaked creepy bastards decide to engage the 2 rather intimidating women and a nearby drake. Danae isn't entirely sure what he thinks will happen other than get his shit kicked in, but it appears that he took the elf off guard. With practiced ease, Danae takes a hold of her halberd and thrusts the spear head into the assailants abdomen, using the mans momentum against him. "You have about ten seconds to tell me to heal him if you want me to." Depending on the dark elf's answer, she will either quickly heal him or simply leave him on the ground to bleed.
"That was rude. Anyway, yeah. Not Mei, I'm Danae. Should we help out your friend over there?" She motions toward Zarius. While Danae has no doubt in her mind that Zarius could deal with the lot of them, Danae has a feeling that killing these people would count against her tattoos. Best part is that assisted kills also count, so even more bang for her buck. The aftermath probably wouldn't be too pleasant, though.
She flicks her halberd, trying to get as much blood off of it as possible before looking to the woman next to her. "You alright, by the way?" It doesn't really matter that the man didn't actually touch her, but she seemed startled nonetheless. Better to check in, though.

The dark elf catches her breath and instead of answering Danae she just kicks the downed grunt in the face.
"Asshole," she huffs. "I'm fine. Thanks. You can run in if you want." With that, the dark elf grabs onto the front of the silver drake's harness and swings up onto its back as it rises from its resting place.
The growling from the creature's throat grows louder, like the rumbling of a far off thunderstorm and there's a slight bright blue glow alighting the underside of its throat scales. The distinct odor of ozone drifts on the creature's breath, cutting through the scent of smoke and ash lingering on the wind carried from Mount Drakolt.
Wheeling the drake around to face down the group and the wagon, the dark elf draws back her bladed whip, ready to snap it at anyone foolish enough to get close to her large mount.
Zarius, meanwhile, glances back at Danae and the rider before turning his attention back to the group once he sees they have everything under control.
"I advise you run while you still have the chance." He raises a hand into the air and there's a sound of what seems to be many footsteps clattering across the roofs of the surrounding buildings. "You are outnumbered."[1]
The thugs look around paranoid, but do not see anyone standing on top of the rooftops, which only unnerves them more given they have heard the rumors of the fellblood having the ability to turn invisible and that he has many highly trained and stealthy allies.
This wasn't a fight that looked like they stood a chance in given the tall woman brandishing a glaive, the fellblood himself, and the drake and rider. They start to retreat from the scene and the driver of the wagon has the horses back up until it can turn around.
Seeing that the thugs at least had a few braincells of common sense between them, Zarius lets his shoulders relax before he turns to face Danae. He steps over the goon with the dislocated arm who rolls on the ground clutching at his floppy arm and groaning in pain.
"Apologies, we did not mean to block the road for so long. Thank you for your patience and your..." he glances down at the other thug bleeding out on the cobblestone, "quick strike."
"Hey, just so you know, she isn't your boyfriend," the dark elf pipes up from atop the drake as she gathers her whip.
Zarius' expression turns annoyed and he pinches the bridge of his nose. "I know that."
"I'm just making sure you don't start making moves on her. You could end up like that jerk on the ground there. Then I'd be out of a job."
"Your overwhelming concern is appreciated, Shael."
Zarius looks up at Danae who stands quite a bit taller than himself. "Danae, was it? Please excuse my rude associate. She grew up in a barn."
"False, I grew up in a shack. Would have killed for a barn."

Danae nods to the dark elf who then proceeds to mount the drake. The distinct smell of ozone being strangely nostalgic. "Nice not being on the receiving end of that." She quietly mumbles to herself, kneeling down to the cultist to find that he has already succumbed to his wound. That is surprising to say the least. She didn't think she hit anything that important but apparently that wasn't the case. She isn't a doctor, after all.
Standing back up, she's about to get herself involved with the fight until Zarius claims to outnumber them. Hearing the footsteps on the rooftops, she is more than inclined to believe the man. Unlike the poor son of a bitch who decided to attack the dark elf, the rest of the group have at least some level of intelligence and decide to turn tail and run.
To say that Danae is disappointed would be accurate. Still, that's an additional name on top of the five from before. Painful day, but progress is progress. She has perhaps a minute before that tattoo starts getting removed. Even a single tattoo is rather painful so she's definitely looking forward to that.
With Zarius approaching her, she slings her halberd back over her shoulder where it belongs and readjusts the bag on her opposite side, smiling. "No worries. Not about to let some dumbass attack your friend there." She nods to Shael, who she still doesn't know the name of.
She snorts at the other woman's interjection. She watches the two of them bicker for a moment with an incredibly amused expression. In the back of her mind she's counting down the seconds till Pain Central. About 15 more seconds. "Of course. As somebody who's lived in barns and shacks, the upgrade is nice. You must be Zarius. Zarius, I'm about to keel over in pain. Don't question it. I'm not hurt in the slightest." And with that, the burning pain of the tattoo being removed kicks in.
As Danae warned, she does indeed keel over in pain, and through her clothing, small wisps of smoke flow out and up before dispersing. "You'd think this gets easier with time but noooo, shit can't be fucken easy for little ol' me." She groans, seemingly in a shit ton of pain. This doesn't last too long, and soon enough she stands back up and looks to the sky. "Go fuck yourself, Jalkrieth." She says to seemingly the heavens. She looks back down and smiles to Zarius.
"Sorry 'bout that. Yes, name is Danae. Nice to meet you. Mind if I asked what got the cult all pissy at you?" She extends a calloused hand toward Zarius for a handshake.

Zarius takes a step towards Danae as she doubles over, a hand extended to provide support if she needs it. "That did not look like it did not hurt in the slightest."
He glances up at the sky as she swears at it, whatever presumed sky dwelling entity she was referring to probably couldn't see shit through the thick plumes of ash and smoke covering the sky thanks to the perpetually active eruptions of Mount Drakolt. He lowers his gaze back to her with a curious head tilt.
"Nice to meet you as well, Miss Danae." He accepts her offer of a handshake then narrows his eyes. "What makes you believe they are cultists?"
Upon first impressions, Danae struck the fellblood as confident and fairly forward with her words. Perhaps she knew something specific about these thugs that he did not. Shady folk were a dime a dozen in Darkveil, and he wouldn't be surprised if she was correct that these brutes were also associated with a cult of some description. It is an interesting comment though, as there have been whispers across Darkveil about an increase in disappearances and uncharacteristic kidnappings possibly tied to cultish activity.
"What makes you think they're not?" Shael counters.
"I did not say I do not believe they are. I am simply inquiring on if Miss Danae has insights we do not."
"Sounds like you're just trying deflect her question with another question."
Zarius opens his mouth then pauses. Ah. She has a point. He did do that. "My apologies Miss Danae, a contact of mine asked us to intervene should we spot this group trying to leave the city. As far as I have been made aware, it is merely a maintaining promises that were made previously."
"Gods that's a lot of words to say we were just supposed to intimidate them." The dark elf slips back down on to the ground and approaches Danae. "Like I said, standard shady Darkveil shit, I'm Shael by the way."
Zarius gives the young dark elf an annoyed look. She had a bad habit of undermining him in these kinds of conversations. Bold brat.

Danae does take Zarius' hand as she stands up, giving a quick "Thanks" before she cusses out a very particular name, uncaring of the confused looks from Zarius. Despite the smog, Danae has no doubt that the motherfucker is watching this go down. Probably has been the entire time.
A deep chuckle comes from Danae following the 'not painless' comment from Zarius. "No, wish I could say it was painless. It's not fun. Like a branding but.. worse somehow. Oh well, it's whatever." She shrugs off, either not understanding the weight of her words, or simply not caring to elaborate. Internally, it's the latter. "It's good to meet you too, man. And please, just 'Danae'. The Miss makes me sound like a scholar or.. far younger than I actually am."
Following the question of the cultists, she quickly bobs down to the still-warm corpse of the rather idiotic fellow and flips back his hood, and promptly snaps off a pendant around his neck. As Zarius and the dark elf bicker, she looks the pendant over, confirming it to be what she's after. She has to fight off an amused expression as she returns to Zarius.
Danae stands up and hangs the emblem off the side of her hand. Indeed, the emblem is one of the common religious items the cult uses. Some also use half-masks and various other trinkets with the emblem somewhere on the item. "Cultists always have crap like this on them. Used to be good money in handing these over to the guards, especially here. But with the population dwindling, the reward has lessened. You want it?"
Danae's attention is shifted toward Shael who finally introduces herself, which garners a slight smile from Danae. "Good to properly meet you. I just need to say - beautiful Drake. Haven't actually been this close to one for this long without it trying to kill me, so this is a nice change of pace.. Please don't tell it to try and kill me, people still have grudges against me up there." She nods her head upward, seemingly indicating the sky or.. maybe the heavens?
Danae gets a certain enjoyment from throwing people off kilter and keeping them off balance when talking to her. This also works as a form of seeing the type of character someone is, judging by how they react to Danae being.. Danae.

"No, thank you." He looks back down at the one that is still alive but squirming on the ground. "Perhaps you can ask that gentleman for more information."
"Fuck off. I'm not telling you anything," the thug retorts, struggling to get back onto his feet.
"No need to be so rude, your lot started this."
"Lousy fiend."
The fellblood scoffs. He's been called worse.
He raises an eyebrow at the comment about the guards around Darkveil. "Who exactly is paying for such a thing? It does not sound like something the Sweepers would be interested in, so is it a personal militia or the Count's men?"
It wasn't often there was business being conducted in Darkveil that he wasn't aware of. Though, to be fair, many of the families of the Ashen Fathers kept their business as under the table as possible and the poor folk who do discover details of their operations often ended up going missing one way or another.
Shael smiles at Danae. "Thanks, her name's Indra." She waves up at the drake and it lowers its head down to get some scratches under the chin.
"Nah," she shrugs. "You seem cool unlike some people I know."
Zarius shakes his hand at Shael's jab towards him, but Danae's comments have his interested piqued. He glances back up at the sky again and then eyes her up and down. There's a look of recognition on his face as if he has put some puzzle pieces together in his mind.
"Ah, am I correct to presume you are an angel or an astralblood then?"
Danae reminded him of another self-proclaimed angel he had met in the past. Hopefully Danae wasn't as quick to blast him with any light spells or make strange claims about the nature of his mortal soul.

"Mm, tempting. Might have a chat later on, we'll see." She says as the poor fella struggles with a busted shoulder. His dedication is admirable, but it's obvious he's not doing too hot, despite his defiance. Yeah, she'll have a bit of a chat later on if she has time.
Danae shrugs at the question on who is actually paying her. It's entirely possible it's a militia, but she hasn't really bothered looking into it. "Might be a militia. I don't really care who gets this crap, as long as I'm getting some sort of payment for them." It might be a bit of a selfish take, but she's been awfully tired as of late and just hasn't been stuffed trying to figure out who they are.
Danae's attention is arrested by Shael and the drake - Indra. She admires the beauty of the creature with a small smile on her face. "Indra. What a lovely name." She comments, feeling the rumble from the drake throughout her body. Again, that particular aspect would usually be accompanied by it trying to rain death on her, but it's nice not having that happen. "Aw, thank you," She says in a slightly exaggerated tone, her smile turning almost to a grin.
Now, when it comes to Zarius's assumption, she does suppose she spelt it out for him. Still, it's not the greatest feeling in the world to just have it called out to her. Danae's attention is arrested by Zarius making the connection, where he would see a flicker of surprise, which then morphs into a myriad of emotions before being clamped down on.
"Mmm.. Fallen, actually." She says in an almost uncharacteristically small voice, rubbing the back of her neck. The subject, while being entirely her fault, is extremely uncomfortable for her. Instead of lingering on this subject, she opts to change the focus. Seemingly out of her awareness, just behind her head, a halo appears for but a moment.
The halo is broken and shattered, pieces drifting off the main whole and entire shards missing outright. The golden glow that usually accompanies the halo is dulled and weak. This only helps confirm her quiet words.
"So! You were asked to stop these guys? Would it be worth hunting their asses down or you want them alive for whatever reason?" She says with an almost plastered on smile.

"By all means, I will not stand in your way." Whatever she decided to do with the remaining grunt was not really of much concern to himself.
"Hm. Odd. Though I suppose that is fairly run of the mill for a mercenary such as yourself."
Mercenaries were a dime a dozen in Darkveil. If one died there were at least a dozen more to choose from if you needed something done by some no name nobody. The supply was large and the demand for their services was hardly lacking either.
However, Danae seemed to be of a higher tier than the average hired thug as far as skill was concerned. Admittedly, he had only really witnessed a very brief example of what she was capable of, but his hunch about what exactly she was seemed to have hit the mark.
Zarius can't help but chuckle at how small the woman who easily loomed over him sounded.
"Well, you have not fallen too far yet, otherwise you would look more like me."
He always found the theories about astralbloods and fellbloods inconsequential, but perhaps there was more to it than he originally thought seeing as this is the second angel he's met to have been cast down from above.
"Sounds like you have more to gain from pursuing them. If your hunt is something you would not mind having company for, I would be happy to assist."
"Oh, please let's go hunt these creeps down. I'm bored and fighting alongside a hot angel lady has to check off a box on someone's life bucket list," Shael comments.
"Are you insinuating it is on your list, or mine?"
Shael scoffs. "If it's on your list then I'm totally telling your boyfriend."
"He is not-" Zarius pinches the bridge of his nose. "Never you mind."

"'Mercenary' suggests that I get hired to do shit. I just kind of do it on my own volition." She corrects. While the term isn't correct, it's not 100% incorrect, either. She doesn't lend out her abilities to people she doesn't know like mercenaries do. Although her answer being almost entirely profit-centered does scream 'mercenary'. Oh well.
Zarius's comment of 'not falling too far' irks her slightly. Outside of getting killed outright, being cast down is an extremely severe punishment that continues to punish, even after nearly 450 years. The irritation flickers across her features before she speaks in a calm tone. "Sadly, there is either 'Fallen' or 'Not Fallen'. I could not be made to look like you simply due to divine blood. That is all I will speak of the matter." It's made painfully clear that this is both a sensitive topic and something she is extremely unwilling to speak about.
Grateful for the change in topic, she smiles kindly. "I'll be happy to have you." Shael's comment takes her off guard slightly as she flicks her attention over, and after a moment, she laughs. "Hot angel lady? Jeez, I don't know if that one kid calling me 'Snow Lady' is better or worse than that. I would be extremely disappointed if it's not on anybody's bucket list." She says, very much amused.
The bickering between Zarius and Shael starts up again, and she can't stop a grin from forming on her face. She begins to walk past the pair, patting Zarius on the shoulder. "Sounds to me you should change that." She says before chucking and continuing on down the street. "Saw them take the left up here. Shael should be able to find them pretty easily with Indra there. I'll try to follow on the roofs unless there are protests against that?" She turns around and begins walking backwards, a questioning look on her face. If there are no protests, she'll head down an alley and make her way onto a roof, headed in the general direction of the spooky hooded bastards.

"Well, this world is not such a bad place to have fallen to. Could be worse is all I am saying." He shrugs.
Danae probably wouldn't believe him if he said he'd been to hell and back, especially if he mentioned being forced into participating in a humiliating and deadly game show run by devils and demons. That whole experience had been pretty surreal and he tries to put much of it out of his mind.
Clearly the topic of her fall from grace was a sore spot for the angel. Kara was similarly bitter about her situation, so he's not that surprised to see Danae's reaction. Angels seemed to be a proud sort, though he supposes if you live your life believing you are blessed by the gods or chosen to carry out some divine purpose you probably would have an unhealthy ego built on ridiculous expectations and pressures.
"If you'd rather be called Snow Lady, I can do that. But just fair warning that nickname will probably end up becoming Ice Queen at some point," Shael teases.
The two sure are chummy for just having met. Though he's started to notice a pattern with Shael and how she acts towards people. She seemed much easier endeared to powerful and confident women, it was even to the ridiculous extent of Shael treating Mei with more respect than Caedes despite them being the same person. If he had to guess, Shael didn't have many positive male role models while growing up and that's why she gravitated towards women she could look up to. Still, it was annoying.
He has half a mind to argue that his personal life is none of either of the women's business, but he knew that that would only add fuel to the fire if he came off defensively. Shael had a bad habit of poking fun at him, which was probably the result of some residual resentment towards him from when they first met.
Shael jumps back up onto her drake, already following after the woman without waiting for Zarius' to even agree to the plan proposed by Danae.
He refrains from scolding the dark elf in front of their new ally and instead nods to Danae. "Agreed." It was about all he could say before the drake takes off into the air with its rider and the tall woman ducks into a nearby alleyway. He waits a moment, surveying the empty street briefly before a veil of invisibility falls over his form and he too takes to the rooftops.[1,2]

Running across rooftops is nothing new to Danae. She makes her way across them with ease, leaping between rooftops and following the direction of the drake overhead. There were a good number in that caravan, so it would be damn good progress for one day.
It doesn't take too long for the drake to pull a tight loop and then proceed to blast lightning down. The sound of the thundercrack filling the ears of most likely everyone in a 10 mile radius, and deafening those unfortunate enough to be too close. Sadly enough, Danae and most likely Zarius were in the 'unfortunate ouchie zone', and Danae loses her footing and promptly falls and slides off the roof, falling about a storey before hitting the flagstone road roughly.
"Owww, motherfucker.." She groans, getting herself up, rolling her poor, poor shoulder and dusting herself off. That fall really fucking hurt, but she grits her teeth and continues her run toward the drake. It doesn't take too long for her to reach the caravans position, her ears still ringing. The caravan looks undamaged, but the scorch marks directly in front of the caravan, and the cultists hiding underneath whatever they could get under tells Danae that their pants are adequately shitted.
Taking her Halberd back into her hand, she picks the first poor shmuck that her eyes land on. The cloaks are all uniform and covering their features, so she has no idea who exactly she's about to stab with the spear head on her halberd, but that doesn't really matter. The rapid footsteps approaching the poor soul does grab their attention just in time to face her as the spear head slides into their abdomen, Danae's momentum throwing them to the ground.
Danae does not stop her assault. The group of about 8 (now 7) seemingly larger than it was before. Perhaps they had people in the back of the wagon. That doesn't matter, just 8 more tattoos removed from her body. Continuing her momentum, Danae yanks out the weapon from the wounded mans stomach, morphing it into an overhead blow to a nearby cultist. Unsurprisingly, the cultist moved out of the way and retaliated, cutting into Danae's shoulder.
Despite the pain, Danae is smiling ear to ear, the adrenaline kicking in. Her heartrate rising, the sting of the blade fading and her need to simply swing and cut down these scum.
