Her task of making the boat sink wasn't all that difficult. There was a crowbar nearby - assumedly to open the crates from before. Simply using that to widen the already existing holes wasn't too much of a difficult task. It took her only a couple seconds to get a good flow going from one of the holes, and she was moments away from working on the second hole when she heard Nephele yell out.
Dropping the crowbar, C'Leena doesn't hesitate in running up the stairs and getting herself into the fight herself. Practically flying out from below deck is a cloaked C'Leena, angelic white wings stretched out behind her. She starts her own participation by immediately drop-kicking some poor shmuck overboard and getting into the thick of it unarmed. The only feature of her that is visible are the piercing golden eyes from under a shadowy hood.
It's clear that C'Leena isn't an unarmed fighter, but it's not like she doesn't know how to fight unarmed. She relies more on grappling and tripping people up to gain the advantage, which works a charm. Mostly. She does get cut up a decent bit and stabbed in the abdomen, but instead of yanking it out immediately, she keeps the blade in for the time being. It really hurts, but it's better than bleeding out for now.
With the two of them smacking the crap out of the crew, it doesn't take too long to beat the inexperienced blade-wielders, promptly throwing them overboard. The moment the last one is in the water, C'Leena yanks the blade out of her stomach and heals the wound1. It doesn't completely heal, but the bleeding stopped; the scar tissue causing interference in the healing process. Her attention isn't on herself for more than five seconds as she immediately moves to Nephele, checking her over.
It doesn't take long for her to spot the wound. The lack of bleeding is good to know as she recasts her magic from before, the wound closing up, leaving behind one hell of a scar. "Darling, you need to stop getting cut up. Continue like this and you'll be more scarred than I am," She says in a light admonishing tone. It's clear that she is still extremely concerned and is merely joking to relieve stress. Suffice to say, it's not really working.
Instead, C'Leena stands back up, lowers her own mask, then Nepheles and promptly kisses her, holding her close. "Are you okay, petal? The boat is now slowly sinking so we have about another minute before it starts to go down I think."

Nephele is running on pure adrenaline, but by the time she clocks the last person in the back of the head and they fall overboard, the nymph is starting to feel it a little. Iron wounds were some of the worst feeling in the world, and she was eternally grateful that C’Leena couldn’t experience it. Especially considering how recklessly they were fighting, C’Leena was getting just as cut up. Thankfully, they were klutzy enough that getting rid of them was only a few scratches away.
When C’Leena stopped to tend to her, the hard part mostly over, Nephele waved her hand, panting a bit. “I’ll be fine, angel. Nothing I haven’t felt before.” She said dismissively, wincing but more focused on the fact that C’Leena had fought off a good amount of people with a knife sticking out of her. Now, would Nephele ever admit that she found that equal parts concerning and attractive? Absolutely not. But was she going to take the opportunity to kiss C’Leena senseless to convey it? Why the hell was that a question?
With a cheeky grin, Nephele pulled away, giggling as she ignored the phantom sting in her side. “I am now, thank you. And don’t worry, it’ll sink faster if I have some space. Could you get us in the air? Or the docks, whatever works for you, dear. I don’t want to strain you.” She didn’t bother putting her face covering back, and if Nephele were an animal she would be the world’s most mischievous fox.

"Might be something you felt before, doesn't mean I won't fuss over it. Don't you think for a second that I don't at least have an idea on how bad that hurts." She says, lightly flicking an ear from under Nepheles hood. The intensity of Nepheles kiss was mildly surprising, but not something she is arguing over.
As per Nepheles request, C'Leena wraps Nephele up tightly in her arms and takes off into the air for but a moment, landing gently on the dock nearby. "What exactly are you plotting? You have that gleam in your eye again." She points out, unable to wipe the near serial killer grin off her face. Primarily it's the near-overdose levels of adrenaline that keep getting pumped into her bloodstream, but she's also mad curious about what it is Nephele has planned.
Quickly, her wings change from the cloudlike white to their golden counterparts, a wing wrapping around behind Nephele. C'Leena rolls her shoulder, still not used to feeling through a wing that isn't always there. It is really weird.
She needed space.. Perhaps she'll blow the ship up? No, Nephele doesn't deal with anything that would blow anything up she believes.. She deals primarily with water.. Hm. Perhaps she should stop thinking and just watch what happens. So that's exactly what she does. Idly panting and wincing from the still-open wound on her abdomen, she waits and watches for what happens. All with an arm slung over Nepheles shoulders.

Nephele clings to C’Leena as they lift into the air, keeping an eye on the cargo people by looking over her shoulder. They all looked like they were on their way to the shore, swamped and exhausted. There was panicked and frustrated shouting to one another in what sounded like Elvish, furious. Things were going to get a lot worse for them unfortunately.
As soon as they landed, Nephele bumped her fiancé with her hip. “Something fun hopefully...” She answered C’Leena plainly. It had been years since she’d attempted this, the first time being a small ripple of magic in a river. This though? Well, only true spite will tell.
Rolling her wrists, Nephele lets out a hefty sigh, extending her hands forward in an outstretched motion. Her eyes closed automatically, rolling back into her head as the ocean below began to bubble slowly. The water then began to swirl, sounds of confusion and alarm emitting from the water below as the water shifted. Nephele’s hands began trembling as she concentrated, exhaling deeply until suddenly the slightly alarming rush of a whirlpool forming below created a large vortex of ocean water.1
It was a good thing that the only people on the shore and docks were these charlatans, the docks clearly closed. However, it was a bit hard to ignore a ship-sized whirlpool having formed in the middle of the docks, shouts of panic and fear as they’re sucked into the depths below. The ship was certainly sinking now, flooding and tipping over slightly on its side. The water below was deep and the ship tore to pieces as it sunk below with its crew of charlatans.
Strangely, the display was somehow beautiful; the water funneled into the depths below, drawing in anything in its wake as shades of blue rippled across the water. If they were to squint, they could see the schools of fish and wildlife locked in the vortex, the spray of the ocean licking up onto the scattered remains of The Ladies Watch.
Nephele’s breathing had mostly stayed strangely steady, lifting her hand up and closing her fist. The various sounds were suddenly muted as they were taken under the water, leaving nothing but some scattered debris in their wake. Nothing and no one was left by the time the vortex had dispersed, save for Nephele and C’Leena on the docks.
The silence wasn’t able to last for more than 3 seconds before Nephele let out a relieved laugh. It only seemed to get more excited as she threw her arms around her fiancé, equal parts excited and dizzy as she stumbles into C’Leena. “Told you it’d be pretty fun!”

To say that C’Leena was expecting Nephele to summon a vortex would be the fattest lie of her entire life. C’Leena stared in awe as Nephele did the single most impressive feat of magic C’Leena had ever seen. It’s not saying a whole lot, but she has seen quite a bit of magic. It’s no secret that C’Leena really loves magic, so watching Nephele sink an entire ship with magic alone is incredible.
Looking at Nephele, her eyes are closed, focused entirely on the spell. Despite the exertion that such a spell would be placing upon her shoulders, her breathing is steady and calm. Now, C’Leena didn’t think it was possible for her to be even more impressed with her fiancé, but here she is.
Once Nephele drops her hands, waits all of three seconds before laughing and wrapping C’Leena up in a hug, C’Leena herself lets out a near crazed giggle, still watching where the ship was. “Nephele, you’re.. A fucking lunatic! You're a lunatic and I fucking love you!” She says, laughing like a maniac. The adrenaline still pumping through her veins is beginning to wear off, but it still hits like a truck. It’s also at this moment that C’Leena makes a realization.
Nephele is just as much of an adrenaline junkie as her, if not more. Nepheles excitement is contagious as C’Leena wraps her own arms around Nephele and spins her around, a toothy grin plastered on her face. After a few rotations, however, she regrets her decision as a sudden spike of pain in her abdomen aggressively reminds her that she is still wounded.
Now, during the events leading up to this, she was casting a lot of magic. The key difference between her raid on the cultists and this is that during her raid, she was simply maintaining spells. This time around, she was casting spell after spell which drained her very quickly. She no longer has enough mana to cast another healing spell on herself.
“Ow, alright, lets pause this celebration. Hold on.” She says, picking Nephele up, gritting her teeth through the pain and flying off to a nearby roof. She barely touches down before her cloak vanishes into smoke and her wings fade away from her back. She kneels down and looks at her abdomen, revealing quite a large bloodstain on her shirt.
Thankfully it’s not her tank top - she would be livid if it was, but she’s still not very happy because it’s a shirt that Nephele bought for her some time ago. She really likes this shirt, too. Thats gonna be a motherfucker to get out. Using the last dregs of mana, she opens her Space Pocket and pulls out her medkit. “Petal, reckon you can help me out a bit here? Just put pressure on it, I need to get ready. Do not let go unless I tell you to - I’m sure you know that bleeding out is a pretty serious concern for me.”
It sucks that she’s having to rain on Nepheles parade, but once she’s not gushing blood, they can resume their celebration. The moment Nephele puts her hands on C’Leena, it doesn’t take long at all for her hands to be completely red. Despite the rather scary situation they find themselves in, C’Leena looks eerily calm. Her breathing is even, the very quiet ticks of her heart are slightly faster than normal, but not nearly to the level that one would expect while actively bleeding this much.
C’Leena hands Nephele a gauze, saying “Use this. Better than your hands.” She continues taking items out. Sutures, bandages, a powder that C’Leena found from an alchemist that works as a clotting agent (that had genuinely surprised her) and various other items. She’s not particularly looking forward to suturing herself again, but it’s better than dying.

Nephele was absolutely elated. The very moment that she was scooped up into C’Leena’s arms she had burst into louder excited giggles, nearly forgetting that her fiancé was injured. She hadn't been able to do something like that before, always thinking that she was most likely not strong enough or something like that. Clearly, she was proving herself wrong as of late.
All excitement dropped as soon as she heard C’Leena say ‘ow’, blinking down at her. The beginnings of a worried inquiry were on the tip of her tongue, but it was stopped when she was picked up again, gliding into the air and depositing them atop a roof. Nephele absently wondered if C’Leena was starting to grow more comfortable being outside as Nephele was inside, usually migrating to a roof whenever they had to deal with something or simply relax for a few hours.
She would marvel in this more, but Nephele was suddenly very focused on the wound. It was pretty deep, and her eyes went wide in surprise at the bloody mess that was her top. How did C’Leena not register that? What's more, why didn't she say anything?? These were really silly questions to ask, considering who her fiancé is, but who would Nephele be if she didn't fuss over her just a little bit?
Nephele followed instructions to a tee, easily adapting to what she needed to do now that she knew that C’Leena was injured. The stark contrast of red against blue was something that Nephele didn't miss and hoped she didn't have to revisit again, though she knew that between the two of them it would probably be a weekly occurrence. Goodness, it's a good thing that at least one of them was a doctor.
“You shouldn't have picked me up, why didn't you tell me you were bleeding out?!” Nephele was saying, pressing the gauze into C’Leena's wound with some rather hypocritical worry. She had collected a couple of injuries herself, healed or not they were still there and likely to leave a scar.
“Do you need me to do anything else? I could cool the sting for you, though I'd imagine you'd have to ‘suiter’ your wounds, yes?” Her accent still had her mispronouncing a few of the medical terms that C’Leena used, but it was getting slightly better. What was stranger was that Nephele's accent was beginning to slowly take on an aspect or two of C’Leena’s, certain vowels elongating and mixing with her already strange accent. It didn't seem like she noticed though, too busy focusing on her fiancé.

"To be fair, I wasn't bleeding out until I said 'ow'. I thought I healed it well enough but apparently not." She says, opening the powder pouch and handing it to Nephele. "Alright, listen. This should help slow and eventually stop the bleeding. Take a small handful and just get that shit in there, if you could, please." Her voice is calm and collected as she speaks and hands the pouch over.
"You are correct, petal. This'll need sutures. Very well done." She says, smiling to Nephele. Despite the situation, it could be a good learning experience. Nephele should probably learn what she has in her kit anyway, in case C'Leena can't use it herself. "What you're using now is called a 'Hemostatic Agent'. Your blood has a bunch of different things, one of those things are called 'platelets' which help stop bleeding and form scabs over wounds. This agent essentially helps the body form the clot by adhering itself-" She pauses to wince. The powder hurts a lot more than she thought it would. "-to the cut, forcefully stopping the bleeding. That's why I'm having you get that in there."
As she speaks, she's working on disinfecting her tools, and once Nephele is done, she wipes down the stab, cleaning it off. The bleeding already looks to be slowing, but it's not pretty. "Alrighty then, pain time! Woo.." She says unenthusiastically, beginning to suture the wound. As she works, she begins talking again. This is both to tell Nephele what she is doing, and to keep herself calm. "Beautiful job with the powder, by the way. Right now, I have the closest things to a suture needle and monofilament thread that I could find. They're not perfect but they still work a charm. Closing the wound up like this helps the body heal faster and lessen the risk of infection. This is supposed to be a sterile procedure, but there's not much I can do about that on a rooftop. Also, I think you're beginning to steal some of my accent."
C'Leena is smiling as she continues to suture, wincing lightly but silently with each pass. "Back on earth, these sutures were actually absorbable by the body - meaning that the tissue would actively degrade and quote-unquote 'consume' the thread. It's entirely safe for this to happen, and is sometimes better than having to remove them later down the line. However, this is not one of those threads, sadly." She finishes her final pass, ties the suture and cuts the excess off, wiping down the area again. She looks down at it, and begins chuckling to herself before rolling onto her back, staring up into the sky.
"Today is a good day. You really need to show me that vortex thing, that was fucking brilliant." She says, her adrenaline high beginning to fade away. She chuckles again, sitting herself up. "Lets just.. take a second, yeah? Fuck me, I'm tired. Adrenaline fucks you up hard." She comments to herself, stating the obvious. Despite everything, she's had a blast today. The thought of taking off her bloodied shirt just so she doesn't look like she murdered somebody passes through her mind, and is quickly dismissed. She would rather people stare at bloodstains than her scarring. Despite her comfort around Nephele, that same comfort doesn't exist with anybody else.

Nephele was only slightly embarrassed when her pronunciation was corrected, repeating the word on her tongue and struggling to properly articulate. It didn't seem like C’Leena cared too much about that though, and Nephele couldn't find a reason to be either. Especially with the new instruction she was given, the nymph was giving C’Leena an unsure look, not sure how powder and a wound would help much at all. Wouldn't that make it worse? However knowing C’Leena was better versed in modern medicine, even if it was entirely foreign to her, Nephele followed through, apologizing profusely when she saw her wince.
It was interesting, listening to C’Leena tell her about the various methods in which one closed and disinfected a wound, almost not believing that half of the words she was using were used in Charonic medicine. Her brow was furrowed in concentration, as if trying to perfectly understand and articulate every word C’Leena had said thus far. Unfortunately, half of the concepts she said were new and a little confusing, but she remembered the basics. Nephele herself was a complete stranger to medical practices and how they worked regardless of the realm, usually choosing to sleep through all ailments she possibly had. That included iron wounds, short term sicknesses like and the common cold and fevers, as well as other things that Nephele was sure C’Leena would scold her for not taking care of properly.
Watching C’Leena show up her wounds wasn't easy, cringing at the sight of a needle passing through the skin. Most stitches were absorbable, as her fiancé was explaining, but considering the ones she was using right now they did not seem to fall into that category. If nothing else she learned a little bit of something; for one, more C’Leena Terms to file away for later. Secondly, that her fiancé was probably one of the best in her field to have known as much as she did.
“Maybe I'll do it more often, if I can get the lingering vertigo under control.” Nephele returned everything she needed to C’Leena, her face screwed into a perpetual pout, concerned. Usually she was more conscientious about her facial expressions, but Nephele couldn't help herself. She supposed whatever worked worked, but…
“I've gotten hurt so many times like that and been fine, Cee. Why did you heal me when you needed it more?” Nephele asked earnestly, though the question could be reversed on herself and she would probably answer the same. If she had the ability, Nephele wouldn't think twice about healing C’Leena first, even if she got a simple scrape on the knee. Still, the hypocrisy of her thinking somehow evaded her. Nephele was sat with her legs crossed, holding her ankles with one hand and staring at C’Leena in that strangely inquisitive way; like she was still trying to put the pieces together to what made her fiancé up. She always was.
She reached forward then, pinching her fiance's cheek firmly. It didn't hurt, but the action spoke for itself. "You don't have to do that you know."

Nephele's pout was frankly adorable. Her constant apologies were even cuter, despite the situation. With Nephele questioning why she prioritized Nephele, she raised her hand in a closed fist, raising a finger. "Firstly, cause you're always my priority. Suck it up, buttercup." She raises a second finger. "Second, I had genuinely thought that I had done a good enough job." Another finger. "Lastly, you know just as well as I do that the magic doesn't heal scar tissue properly for whatever reason. I would've had to stitch it up either way."
"Now, c'mere. I'm sorry for spookin' you. And of course I have to do that. Literally speaking, I am under oath to treat those in need. Strictly abiding by the oath, I had to help you. Plus, you're my fucken fiancé. What sort of future-wife would I be if I didn't fuss?" She playfully bats Nepheles hand away before opening her arm up for Nephele to scooch into. The fact of the matter is that Nephele is always going to be her priority, no matter what. The only times that C'Leena wouldn't prioritize her is if C'Leena was being forced to, or if Nephele truly was fine. Having said that, C'Leena does check over her cut again. It's already scarred over and looks healthy enough. C'Leena isn't particularly pleased that Nephele got hurt again, but she supposes it's the risks of crashing an entire fraud ring.
C'Leena runs her fingers over Nepheles scar, lightly tsk'ing. She's not annoyed at Nephele, but instead at the crew from before. "You do need to be more careful though, dal. At this rate, you'll genuinely be looking like me in a years time. At least we crashed a scam ring. Beautiful job, Neph." She says, lightly kissing Nepheles cheek. For right now, C'Leena is more than happy to simply relax for a bit. It's barely been 2 hours since C'Leena initially bought the shell, and now she has four shells and can officially say she helped sink an entire ship. Not exactly on her bucket list, but definitely a memorable moment.
"Random question: If you had to spend a day anywhere in Charon, where would it be?" She knows she doesn't need to be slick about the marriage thing anymore, but it's still fun. Plus, she's barely being slick about it. Doesn't take a nuclear physicist to figure out why she's asking that.

Nephele had all the reasoning to protest against C’Leena's first few statements, her lips parting to interrupt her but stopping herself. It was normal to be worried about your fiancé, especially when it was C’Leena “the livewire Aussie” Thomas, but she couldn't help it. She stared at her fiancé, brow pinched together in thought but ultimately surrendering when she's offered a place in her arms. She always knew exactly what to do, didn't she?
That oath thing that C’Leena referenced was a subject that she had been meaning to ask her further about. Nephele will quite certain that C’Leena had said what it was called before, but it was a long time ago and she couldn't even begin to replicate whatever the hell the word was. It was admirable, part of what made Nephele love C’Leena so much. She helped those in need, regardless of social standing or the like. In a way, C’Leena coming along helped the nymph reevaluate her own morals and shape them into something...nicer. Strange what people could do within such limited time.
“… Alright…” Nephele relented in her concerned stare down, snuggling close to C’Leena and resting her ear against her chest to listen to her clockwork heart. “I'll try to be more careful; I can't promise anything but I will certainly try.” The nymph visibly perked up at hearing the nickname, missing it in a weird way. “I've never done a full vortex like that before, but I've certainly tried. That though? My head’s still spinning.”
At C’Leena’s next question though, Nephele pause to stare up at her fiancé. Fiancé. Nephele was actually surprised that it took her so long to put together the questions about marriage all those weeks ago, so even if C’Leena wasn't trying to be sneaky about anything, she felt pretty good about catching on this time.
“Like anywhere? If I'm honest, everywhere that we've been I could have spent a little longer in. It's no secret that I love Eclipse City, but if I were honest I would rather that place be an afterthought. Perhaps a place for later, but if I had to choose…”
Nephele paused to think, frowning as she watched a few birds hover above them for a moment before fluttering off. “Do you think we would go to the same place that we would settle down? You always ask me my opinion about this but I never know yours. What’s on your mind?” At the inquiry, Nephele reached up to poke C’Leena’s cheek, questioning.

C'Leena wrapped Nephele up in her arms, making sure not to aggravate the stitches. It still hurts like a motherfucker, but she doesn't let that bother her. As Nephele settles in her arms, C'Leena begins to idly comb through her hair, not entirely aware that she is doing it. C'Leenas heart is ticking slightly faster than normal, but Nephele can hear the ticks grow slower as time goes on. Her lung has that quiet hiss with each breath, her chest rising and falling gently.
"That's all I can ask." C'Leena says, responding to her being careful. C'Leena has been stabbed and cut far more times in these 6 months than she has in the last five years, so there is obviously risk to living here. Care still needs to be taken. There might have to be a time where C'Leena has to stitch up Nephele and that's not a time she is looking forward to.
C'Leena smiles as Nephele perks up, taking a mental note of the reaction. "You never did that before? Shit, that just makes it even more impressive. I uhm, wish I could get you some water but.. It's in my space pocket. The space pocket I can't access right now. Sorryy." Despite it being something very much out of her control, she still feels bad about it. She lightly kisses the top of Nepheles head, keeping her steady so she can reorient herself easier.
C'Leena smiles at Nephele looking questioningly up at her. It takes her a moment, but the flicker of realization in her eyes is adorable. C'Leena listens, nodding as Nephele crosses Eclipse City off the list. It's fair enough, she reckons. Nephele answering the question with another question is slightly unexpected, and she takes a second to think of a response.
"In the end, it depends on where we have the ceremony. You know I lived in a city my whole life up until now, but I'm not against having a place away from people. But on the other hand, I'm also more than happy to find somewhere in or near a city. I'm indecisive about it - never been good at this sort of thing." She shrugs slightly, careful not to jostle Nephele too much. She's never had to work out whether or not to live in or outside of a city. Nor has she had to plan where to have a wedding - let alone her own wedding. It's definitely a lot and the mere thought is stressing her out.
"Otherwise, the only things on my mind are: One, what am I going to show you of earth. There is just so fucking much, both good and bad. And Second is - in all honesty - how in the fuck that initial kiss in the poppy field worked out? That had no right to work, yet it did. It fucken worked and I got the best damn fiancé in the world. AND I'M GOING TO MARRY HER! God that is so fucking cool. I love life right now."

“Don't worry about me, I'll just get some later. I've been teaching myself how to convert the water from the air into drinking water, as I can create water already.” Nephele said, basking in the warmth of her fiancé's body. She was careful not to completely lean against her as to not hurt her in any way. “It will be a nice experiment for later. I've gone much longer without water.”
Listening to C’Leena talk about her preferences, or really her lack thereof, made it seem much closer than it probably was. Hearing her fiancé begin to rave about it made it no easier, her energy contagious. Nephele was thinking about it herself in passing, but in all honesty she was nervous out of her mind and it was seasons away. She only hope that she could live up to a proper wedding, her mind a mess of nerves good and bad.
Nephele blinked in surprise at C’Leena’s energy level, biting her lips together so that she didn't let out and unattractive snort of amusement. It was times like this that she marveled in how C’Leena didn't see herself as anything short of gorgeous or human. The jitters, the scatter mindedness, the pure joy and warmth were beautiful to her. Nephele hums after she's done speaking, leaning her head back to regard C’Leena with a fond look.
She doesn't know what she's about to say until she says it, but even after she says it she realizes that it was simply her mind taking over. “You're beautiful. I hope you know that.” At their proximity, Nephele can only kiss the underside of C’Leena’s jaw, but she doesn't think it matters much when she kisses her. It's a feather light touch, barely more than a peck.
“I'm excited for it what you want to show me, it baffles me that I can't even imagine how your world looks. I suppose it's no different from staring into the Land of Wonder from Charon but still, it's bound to be jarring.” Nephele mused to herself.

C'Leena made her classic tisking noise when she heard something she disapproved of upon hearing that she's gone longer without water. Sure, C'Leena has gone nearly a day and a half without water due to a pretty severe hyperactivity episode, but she's not going to mention that. Although it does make sense to be able to draw water from the humidity. This close to the ocean, it is rather humid and salt isn't soluble in the atmosphere. Why do I know that?
As C'Leena spoke about her preferences and eventually her small tangent, it was hard not to notice Nepheles amusement, the bite of her lip, the particular smile in her eyes - even when she's looking away. C'Leena looks down just after the light peck, a small quirk in her eyebrow. "Mm, you might have the wrong gal. I look like crap. Burnt, scarred crap - which isn't very good crap." Despite the self deprecation, she has a smile on her face and held Nephele just that little bit closer. There has always been something to Nepheles words that simply sang to her, and despite C'Leena generally not believing things like 'you're beautiful', a small part of her did begin to believe that. A very, very small part, but a part nonetheless.
"The city I grew up in.. Take Sol City, make it five times larger and then you have.. perhaps 3/4ths of Melbourne. Massive place - complete shithole, but massive place. You'll see it soon enough." C'Leena thinks back to the lesson that Cyran had given her on Dreamwalker. As per his assumptions, C'Leena did in fact get a grasp on it rather quickly since she's both walked the dreamscape and traversed planes. It was almost like flexing an underused muscle.
Walking the Dreamscape is a strange experience. It's exactly what it sounds like - a space in the unconscious where ones mind goes during sleep. Due to this, you can morph the dreamscape to how you want it based on memory. This makes it a useful tool like in C'Leena's case when Cyran used it on her, but also unstable. It's easy to get information wrong, manipulate already existing memory into something completely different or manifest something completely wrong.
"I think I also want to show you some music from earth. I miss listening to some of my favorite songs so it's a win-win. I listen to some absolute bangers, and I get to show you the very same bangers. I hope you like Rock.. That's a music genre, not an actual rock. I don't know if Rock actually exists here. I don't think it could since most Rock music that I know use electronic instruments like bass guitars, amps and whatnot. Only real thing that's acoustic is the drum kit, but even that gets changed sometimes.." It appears C'Leena hasn't noticed that she's gone on a bit of a rant again.
C'Leena has always been extremely musically motivated. Music has been her lifeblood for her entire life, either listening to it or making it herself and with Rose when they used to do that. After her passing, she had almost forgotten about the piano and stopped playing - that initial piano performance for Nephele was the first time since her death that she's even touched a piano. C'Leena is beyond glad that she's shown Nephele that, and perhaps she can show her again in the Dreamscape.

“Oh you hush, you do not look like ‘crap’.” There are a few things that Nephele could say, a few choice words that she saved for whenever C’Leena said something vaguely self-deprecating. However this did not seem to be the time, so she decided minimize her reaction to these small chastising words.
Hearing about the massive size of where C’Leena grew up never got less surprising no matter how much she talked about it. Sol City was Charon biggest city, it was a wonder how C’Leena ever existed in a place even slightly bigger than that. If it was the absolute “dystopian” nightmare like she had described, Nephele felt like she was really in for it. It made things that much more exciting to look forward to.
At the mention of music, Nephele’s entire demeanor ramped up into excitement, her eyes sparkling at the idea. It completely missed her that certain genres of music would probably not translate back in C’Leena’s realm, and vice versa. When her fiance described rock (her head tilted before she described what it was, imaginatively thinking of people making music by clanking rocks together), every single word that she said was confusing. Charon definitely didn't have what she was describing, and it was made especially prevalent when C’Leena saw Nephele’s intrigued but very, very confused face.
“I will admit I have no idea what any of that entails,” Nephele said at the tail end of C’Leena’s rant. He definitely seemed excited nonetheless. “But I would love to see it! Hear it, too! Never in my life have I heard of something like that before you. You say that you harness electricity,” -- the way that she pronounced electricity was slurred and heavily accented, like she barely used the word and it confused her tongue -- “to make music? From what I'm gathering from all that you've told me, elec… that is your realms magic, in a sense?”
She had always been curious on how realms without magic operated, but then she started to notice a small pattern with the realms that she learned about. And someone who lived between two for quite a time, it was more than able bodied to develop a hypothesis (even if she barely knew what it was and was certain she was using the term wrong, she’d ask C’Leena about it. It was one of those terms.)

Nephele’s excitement and curiosity for the music part of her tangent is both extremely heartwarming and not at all surprising to C’Leena, and she could only smile warmly as the nymph looked up with sparkling eyes. “Well, then it looks like I have a lot to show you, huh?” C’Leena says, smiling ear to ear.
"And yeah, I guess you could say that electricity is earths form of magic, although thats only a portion of it. Electricity has helped us, but we've needed to use chemicals and science to make that electricity, so it would be far more accurate to say that Science is earths form of magic. There is a very old saying of 'Hyper-advanced technology is indistinguishable to magic' or something along those lines."
"We use electricity for a lot of things; music creation is one of those things. It's let us make some really weird instruments like the Theremin. Dude, the Theremin is an instrument you play by not touching it. Don't ask me how that works cause I have no clue. It's really cool, though."
While C’Leena has already shown Cyran parts of what she calls home, it wasn’t in depth and was also marred by a lot of crying. Crying with actual tears kind of, but still. C’Leena hasn’t been able to test out her theory work, so this will be a first test run on seeing if it’s something she can maintain.
“..Have you seen the Northern-slash-Southern Lights before? Uhm, I don’t know if they go by another name here but in certain parts of the world, the sky can almost ‘glow’ with a frankly stunning show of dancing lights. I’ve seen it once and remember it vividly, so I can very easily show you in the dream if you haven’t seen them before.” C’Leena says after a few beats of silence. Her mind is working overtime trying to find things to show her other than music. She knows about the solar system, so perhaps she can show that, too? The art of balancing impressiveness with complexity is a fine line to work with, but she’ll get it done.
Similar to how Nephele felt about finding a soulmate when C’Leena proposed not all that long ago, she’s learnt what true love feels like to her.
It’s the moments such as this, simply holding one another despite any and all circumstances. The perseverance of a woman fighting the world, and another joining the fight with her simply because she loves her with her entire heart. It’s the chill of her touch, the cerulean hue of her skin and the stars trapped in her eyes.
It’s the flustered giggles and the darker flush of her cheeks and intense curiosity of her gaze. The unwavering virtue and never ending tears she cries for the both of them. To C’Leena, that is what love is for her. It always was, it always will be, whether she recognized it previously or not.
C’Leena adjusts herself slightly and holds Nephele just that little bit closer as her mind runs rampant. C’Leena is - in every sense of the word - completely and utterly smitten with Nephele. She misses her dearly when they separate for sometimes mere hours at a time, and is always seen with a smile when she sees her again, no matter the events.
So yeah, C’Leena is wildly in love and she’s fucken here for it. You know, just in case the pair of rings on their fingers wasn’t proof enough of that. From all this in C’Leena’s mind, it is translated to a singular kiss to Nepheles forehead, unsure on how to even begin wording the thoughts speeding through her mind.
