Personality
Nephele is awkward at best, and really weird at worst. Her ideology stems from her family, which fostered a very happy-go-lucky thought process that she carries to every city, valley, and realm that she stumbles into. That isn't to say that she's incapable of being serious, however. Quite the opposite, Nephele is a highly empathetic person that tries to understand the others around her, even if it requires unconventional means. She isn't good with words, choosing to speak with actions more often. She loves to talk, but will stop when need be. Nephele loves people, and tries to be around them as much as possible.
Appearance
Nephele is a blue-skinned woman with a fluffy, cloudlike halo of hair, getting it from her water nymph mother. Her eyes are violet pools of twinkling ether, and you can often see something like stars twinkling in the depths. Nephele typically wears tight bodices with frumpy pants. She also has an infatuation with jewelry, and has her brow, belly button and ears pierced with gold she nicked off of those who weren't paying attention.
Backstory
Nephele was born to her mother, Callythia, and an unknown man in the Land of Wonder, where she raised her for five years before they left for the Crescent Isles. Nephele and her mother were inseparable, adopting the mindset that they were all the other had. The people of the Crescent Isles were more than a bit iffy about their arrival, but luckily Nephele and Callythia never stayed in one place too long. The two wandered almost weekly, only returning because Nephele felt a strange feeling of homesickness whenever she left. Because of this Nephele and Callythia eventually started to drift apart, but due to their combined stubbornness they refused to separate. Sadly though, Callythia fell ill due to age, and she died right after Nephele turned 16.
Nephele stayed in the Crescent Isles for a little longer, learning martial arts through a few friendly faces. She didn't cope too well with her mother's death, so she taught herself how to meditate and find peace. It didn't take long for Nephele's wanderlust to take hold of her though, and soon she found herself wandering without much thought. It was fine for a while, but one day things changed.
While staying in the Moonglades, Nephele received a letter from someone claiming to be her father. They told her to meet them in eight months in the Capitol Landing in the Sun's Keep. Excited for a new adventure and the prospect of meeting her father, Nephele now found herself impatiently counting down the days, finding solace knowing that she'll find someone to travel with her again.
However, as the months inch closer, Nephele finds herself slowly dreading the day she meets him.
