Things were beautiful for the next week and a half. Nephele and C’Leena were nigh inseparable throughout the entire period, as if afraid that if they left each other side for one moment their dreamlike existence together would go up in a puff of smoke. Nephele spent every second she could telling C’Leena how much she loved and appreciated her, as despite the days moving blissfully and slowly along, the jitters hadn't quite settled down for the nymph. She was engaged for goodness's sake. Nephele thought she was going mad with how much she fixated on the ring on her finger, twirling it round her finger and pressing a kiss to the minerals embedded in them. She even went to the trouble of cooking on the third day for C’Leena, though she supposed she wasn't the best at it. In short, Nephele had come up the stairs covered in soot, flour, and eggs tending it over to C’Leena with a sheepish look on her face. She felt expeditiously guilty, but she supposed that there were just some things that she wasn't good at.
That was one of the wonderful things she found out about herself, how despite being bad at some things, Nephele didn't feel the need to try and overachieve, pushing herself to be good at things she simply isn't good at. It was comfortable, letting her girlfriend, no, and Nephele had to stop the smile every time she was reminded, her fiancé take the reins and some things. For example, after that incident, Nephele set a boundary for herself, which was essentially just a rule stating that she was not allowed in a kitchen anymore unless it was to eat. It was so beautifully domestic, and more funny little things popped up throughout the week that Nephele found herself loving to remember. And it was all thanks to her protective doctor of a fiancé. (Yes, she was running the word into the ground. No, she didn't care).
Like most things though, some good things had to take a pause. It was almost time at this point for Nephele to go see her mother, that horrendous nagging in the back of her head the only thing keeping her up those nights that she fell asleep. She didn't want to, or perhaps maybe she did. It simply felt… wrong, to ignore that call. Maybe a sympathetic part of her was still reliant on her.
So one night during the following week, Nephele proposed that they go the next day. It would most likely have to be in the morning, as the place that she was buried was in the jungle, which was quite dangerous at night. Nephele didn't want the event being any more stressful than it already was going to be.
“I don't want to hold off any longer than I have to.” Nephele had said to C’Leena, her head rested on her shoulder. “So if it's all right with you… would you like to go see my mother?” She had tried to say it in a way that was comical, but it just wasn't. The effort was there though.

Throughout the week, C'Leena was incredibly amused by Nepheles antics. If the couple were inseperable before, they've gone a step above that. Watching Nephele walk into the room covered in various cooking ingredients, though? Absolutely priceless. It took her a few minutes to stop laughing. It was both hysterical and adorable. Now, C'Leena considers herself to be a pretty decent cook and she enjoys cooking anyway, so she wasn't fussed with taking over.
Much like Nephele, C'Leena was constantly fiddling with her ring, but for different reasons. It was a really convenient ADHD toy, even if she could only really spin it around her finger. Still, it worked pretty well so she wasn't complaining. Seeing Nephele in such an incredible mood was beautiful to see as well. She hopes to never forget these days.
But indeed, sometimes the good things need to take a pause. They came here to Eclipse City for a reason and it would be wrong to forgo that, especially when it comes to visiting the dead. For obvious reasons, she takes things like this seriously. "As long as you want me there, I'll be there, petal. Plus, you've said it's a bit of a distance in the jungle, right? It would concern me to no end to leave you alone out there, even if it's just me giving you privacy with your mum." She says in a matter-of-factly tone. C'Leena being the protective doctor she is obviously fusses over Nephele at every opportunity, this being no exception.
Speaking of fussing over Nephele.. "You haven't been sleeping much, have you? Like, I know that you don't sleep for long, a few hours at most, but when was the last time you got proper sleep?" She asks, concerned. She's going to ignore the hypocrisy in that question, seeing as she gets nowhere near enough sleep with how active she is. She's been sleeping more now that she hasn't been going to a job, but she'd be lucky to get 5 hours of sleep a night. It works out in the end, though. C'Leena and Nephele have similar sleep schedules, and thus neither have to wait long for the other to wake up.
Speaking of, lately C'Leena has been using Nephele as a pillow when it isn't the other way around. Nephele is awfully comfy, and there is a peace with hearing Nepheles breathing. She's unsure if Nephele gets the same sort of tranquility with C'Leena, what with her organs possibly being clockwork. Believe it or not, but C'Leena doesn't actually know how her organs work here. Perhaps one day she'd find a way to look into it. Today is not that day, however.
"But yeah, as I've said a million times before: I'm following your lead, dal'n. Wherever you go, I'm going. You get the gist. You call the shots. If you want privacy when you talk to her, let me know." She plants a kiss to Nepheles forehead, hoping it calms her a small amount at least. Any sense of calm she can bestow to Nephele is worth it, so it's worth the attempt in her mind.

C’Leena was right, as always. Nephele really wished that she could find it irksome that she could read her like a book, but she really couldn't help the gentle smile at knowing that her fiancé was paying attention to her habits, unhealthy as they were. “It's kind of hard to rest when you have such a thing looming over you. I've been dreading it.”
Another thing that Nephele was starting to pick up, especially when she was trying to hide her face or her expressions, was finding herself fiddling with C’Leena’s hands. This was one of those times where the words were a little bit hard to get out, so she instead resorted to toying with C’Leena's hand and the matching ring she wore on her finger. She really did have a bizarre love for all things shiny and C’Leena, which was not lost even in the slightest during this interaction.
“But if you're sure,” Nephele picked up again, squeezing her hand firmly as she knew that C’Leena couldn't feel it as well as she could, “then we should go in the morning. It's no rush really, it's not arduously far. It's far enough for at least a few hours’ journey, but it shouldn't be rushed.” The last thing Nephele needed was to have an anxiety attack before or after visiting her mother's grave. In truth, she didn't feel that Callythia deserved any. She wondered if anything would happen once she got there, would her mother’s spirit return to that spot? How long would it take her to be done with it?
Shaking the thoughts away for now, Nephele wrapped her arms around C’Leena's waist, clearly seeking a distraction. “But that's an issue for the morning. Distract me, please? I’m exhausted.” She meant this in a mentally exhausted way, but it was evident with how she slumped into C’Leena’s body, almost her entire weight on her, that there was more than just that.

C'Leenas entire job back on earth (and in a different way, here) was to pay attention to the little things. It wasn't rocket science to notice Nephele not sleeping or her habits when she was trying to steel herself. She found it adorable, honestly, so she's not about to mention it. While Nephele fiddles around with her hand, C'Leena slings her arm around Nephele, pulling her in closer."Of course, hon. I get that." She says easily. She listens to the rest of what Nephele has to say, softly humming in response. When Nephele asks her to distract her, though? She takes a second to think. "Distract you, hm? Yeah, I reckon I can do that."She scours her memory for a moment, before finding something that should work. She reviews her memory of it all before she opens her mouth again. Seeing everything in order, she beguns humming a soft melody."We were both young when I first saw youI close my eyes and the flashback startsI'm standin' thereOn a balcony in summer airSee the lights, see the party, the ball gownsSee you make your way through the crowAnd say, "HelloLittle did I knowThat we were meant be but no one else agreesBut I don’t care about them because you’re all I needAnd I was crying on the staircaseBeggin' you, "Please don't go, " and I saidBaby, just take me somewhere we can be aloneI'll be waiting, all there's left to do is runWe’ll go far away and we’ll make it out of this messIt's a love story, baby, just say, 'Yes'"C'Leena continues lightly singing to Nephele. Her nervousness when it comes to singing has vanished. She gently leans the pair backward on the bed. She's always liked the song she's singing now. Hell, she really liked the artist that sung it. Theres a certain comfort to the song that C'Leena adores. Plus, it's played on the piano, too. Perhaps she can play it properly for her next time she gets the chance.
"She knelt to the ground and pulled out a ringand said "Marry me, JulietYou'll never have to be aloneI love you and that's all I really knowWe'll go far away, I will take you out of this messIt's a love story, baby, just say, 'Yes'"Cause we were both young when I first saw you"Once she finishes, she shifts slightly to be closer to Nephele. It takes a second for C'Leena to speak back up again. "The traditions I know when it comes to marriage is that the Bride takes the grooms surname, either switching their surname entirely or adding it to their own. Seeing as you don't have a surname, how does 'Nephele Thomas' sound to you?"

Nephele is actively fighting to not doze off, but it’s made exceptionally difficult when C’Leena begins singing as softly as she does. She loved hearing her sing, though that wasn’t a surprise to anyone at this point. Her smile was drowsy as she struggled to keep her mind conscious enough to hear the whole song, always one for a good love song. Nephele wanted to tell C’Leena not to lean them back on the bed, because she knew that she would probably accelerate her to sleep.
“Thank you, Cee…that was beautiful…” Nephele couldn’t fight a particularly persistent yawn, covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she stretched closer to her. She was basically tucked into C’Leena’s shoulder at this point, effectively restraining C’Leena from moving. It wasn’t like she was doing it on purpose, but in all honesty she would probably be holding tighter if she was actually coherent.
Thankfully, once the song ends Nephele is still conscious enough to hear C’Leena speak. She hummed, low and practically holding her fiancé in a borderline vice grip around the waist, a dreamy smile on her face as she slipped her eyes shut. “Sounds wonderful…Mrs. Thomas…” And with those poorly strung together words and an airy laugh, Nephele was drifting off, her breathing slow and even as whatever else C’Leena could have said fell on deaf ears. Her grip had only loosened partially, feeling safe within C’Leena’s arms.

Practically feeling Nephele drift off in her arms, she gently kissed her forehead, unwilling to accidentally disturb her. She remains motionless for about 10 minutes, either staring at the ceiling or at Nepheles sleeping form. Eventually, however, she does have to move. Right now they're laying on the edge of the bed, with C'Leenas feet in full contact with the floor. With practiced care, she pries herself from Nepheles grip, doing her best not to wake her and shifts Nephele onto the bed properly. Once Nephele is situated, C'Leena quickly changes into something slightly more appropriate for bed and climbs back in.
C'Leena wishes sleep was uneventful as her mind cooked up something new tonight. "C'LEENA! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" Her fiancé's voice yells. "Why have you done this to me!? To US?" Her voice rings out through everything. It feels like it's coming from everywhere and nowhere. All around her and inside her own head all at once. C'Leena cannot speak. It's as if her mouth has been sealed shut and her vocal cords removed. "I TRUSTED you! I LOVED YOU!" She screamed. It's something she never wants to hear again. Fear, sadness and even regret permeate throughout her mind. The past tense usage didn't miss her as she felt tears stream down her face.
And then she woke up. She has always awoken silently from her nightmares, but her heart is hammering away, trying to deconstruct itself or break through her ribcage. Nephele is still wrapped around C'Leena sound asleep, her head resting on the scarred skin of her shoulder. The nightmare felt too vivid - too real. Careful not to wake her, C'Leena moves in closer to her and wraps her up in her arms, thankful beyond measure that it was nothing but a dream.
She remains there for a while, cherishing the cold temperature that Nephele exudes, and feeling the distinct solidity of silver against her skin from Nepheles finger. Eventually, the need to get up and distract herself becomes too much to ignore, so she carefully wriggles out of Nepheles grasp, gets up and sits down at the table nearby. Judging by the sky outside, she got.. about 2 hours or so of sleep. It'll have to do.
She quickly begins research on her project to make the prosthetics a bit more believable. She wants to be able to shake someone's hand without them asking questions or looking confused, after all. Something she's been hiding from Nephele as well is a distinct feeling of.. being less than human. With more than half of her body being replaced with prosthetics and fakes and little to no feeling in 90% of her body, C'Leena feels there's a distinct line between her and somebody else that makes her feel Less Than. She's avoided mentioning this because it would just concern Nephele to no end, and there's not much she could do about it anyway. It would be wasted worry, in C'Leenas eyes.
Plus, C'Leena is the doctor of the relationship. It should be her worrying about Nephele, not the other way around. She, however, quickly moves on and enters a somewhat-peaceful emptiness as she works, making notes and planning how it all will work and tie in together. It will likely need completely different plates for her prosthetics in order to get the 'flesh', sense of touch AND illusory skin all into one as it would require far more complex sigaldry to combine all three. On top of that, she will need to figure out a more efficient way of processing the mana poured into them so C'Leena doesn't keep running dry when she just wants her prosthetics hidden away.
Soon enough, Nephele stirs. The sun is beginning to breach the horizon. Looking over, C'Leena smiles kindly. "G'day, sunshine. Man, it's weird being awake before you." She idly comments. "How'd you sleep?"

Nephele’s dreams were mostly blissful, quiet and filled with tinkling laughter. The whispers persisted, as they did most nights, but they truly didn’t matter to her. C’Leena was a nice presence, warm to the touch unlike her own skin. The night went on without a hitch, with Nephele emitting soft snores through her nose.
Then, Nephele was cold. She frowned in her sleep, the dream breaking slowly as she pat absently on the bed searching for C’Leena. Her eyes were struggling to open, but after emitting a long, high pitched noise in the back of her throat, Nephele opened them.
“’Leena…?” Her mind unhelpfully supplied, barely able to see or articulate her words. When she saw C’Leena waiting for her, greeting her, Nephele lets out a heavy sigh. She didn’t know if it was relief or exhaustion, though she supposed it was a bit of both. She had to force herself to sit up, stretching and growing a bit dizzy from it. How long had she been asleep? How long had C’Leena been awake?
Now that she had a comprehensible thought, Nephele narrowed her eyes, rubbing one with her palm as she gave C’Leena a confused look. It had been a long time since C’Leena had seen Nephele roll out of bed, and she looked absolutely out of it.
“Why’re you ‘wake?” Nephele slurred, dragging herself out of bed and not answering the question. Her voice was quiet but higher, weirdly enough. She looked half dead; it was a wonder how she ever got up in the morning. Nephele woke up quickly, but apparently those few extra hours had really done a number on her.
After approaching C’Leena, Nephele climbs into her lap to hug her, sighing in relief at the warmth and tucking her face into her shoulder. It all happens awfully fast, barely even giving C’Leena time to process it. “Warm…” She hummed, drowsy and locking herself in her fiancé’s embrace. She’d clearly forgotten what she was doing today, her sleep addled brain having made up her mind for her.

It appeared that both C'Leena and Nephele are not morning people, however while Nephele was very low-energy and actually filtered (Probably because there isn't much going on behind those starry eyes), C'Leena is chaotic and spewing whatever comes to mind. Now, C'Leena doesn't see Nephele just waking up, having only seen her wake up perhaps three or four times over the course of their relationship.
C'Leena should get her old sleep schedule back if only to see Nephele just waking up more often because her heart is actively melting into a puddle in her chest as Nephele clambers her way onto C'Leenas lap. She is stunned into mild silence as she undergoes a reactor meltdown. It lasts roughly 10 seconds before C'Leena wraps her arms around Nephele and just savors the moment.
Only now are Nepheles questions really processed. Firstly, "'Leena" is adorable and she is not against that whatsoever. Second, the fact that she's not completing her words is precious to no end. Third is that she's using as little words as possible. Her only saying "Warm" is the thing that finalized her meltdown.
It takes her a second to respond. The urge to lie and say that she simply woke up early was there, but she squashes it, closes it into a chest, chains the chest closed and then buries that chest underneath her theoretical ocean. "Had a nightmare and I couldn't get back to sleep. Just the usu'" She says casually. Her voice is measured, but the tightening of her arms around Nephele speak otherwise. She's not sure if she could even explain what happened if she wanted to. She remembers Nephele being.. betrayed? C'Leena had done something to wreck everything.
Despite the memory fading, what little remains hurts like a bitch to remember, so she opts not to, instead focusing entirely on Nepheles breathing, heartrate and general body temperature. Even without her medical equipment, she ends up doing a very rough checkup on Nephele, generally assessing for injuries or something else. C'Leena knows she most likely won't find anything, but it's something to distract her.

Nephele hummed in understanding, not responding right away as she squeezed C’Leena tighter. “Mmm, wanna talk?” She mumbled, trying her damnedest to hide her face from the sun that was barely shining through the curtains. She still hated it though, full on koala hugging C’Leena as she huffed through her nose.
“Too bright, turn it off…” Nephele grumbled, honest to goodness referring to the bright sun. Her mind was blissfully fuzzy, but she was fixing to fight something if the light didn’t shut up. Was that even possible? Probably not. Did she care right now? Obviously not.
Nephele could feel C’Leena slightly maneuver to look her over, and despite her dreariness she could already tell she was looking at her to check up on her. Why was she checking up on her? Nephele decided she didn't like that. She leaned up to look at her fiancé in the face, shivering slightly at the loss of warmth and frowning. There was concern there, but it was mostly sleepy irritation. “What? You okay?”
The nymph’s eyes were trained on C’Leena’s face, and she lifted her hands to her face to squish her cheeks. Poking, prodding, and squishing were only a few of the things on Nephele’s list of nonverbal affectionate communication, though she only ever did the squishing thing when she was teasing C’Leena.
This was obviously not one of those times, not in the proper head space to try teasing her (and if she tried, it would end horribly). She looked much like when they had first met: curious, confused, and above all fascinated with watching C’Leena. Though this time, she didn’t feel the need to panic and turn away from eye contact. She was quite comfortable actually.

"I can't really remember it. I did something that betrayed your trust or something? Again, hardly remember it. Dream-you is fucking scary when she's mad." Nepheles sleepy concern is sweet, but there really isn't much to talk about. Nephele is holding onto C'Leena as if she was afraid she'd get up and leave. Of course, she wouldn't since this entire situation is absolutely adorable.
At Nepheles protests to turn off the sun, C'Leena laughs, lightly shaking Nephele on top of her with each bark of laughter. "Not sure I can turn the sun off, petal, but I can close the curtain." She says with a grin as she uses a surprisingly under-utilized spell1 to close the curtain from a distance. The room gets plunged into darkness, and with a few more gestures, she is able to reignite barely burning embers into a soft flame2. The action does scare C'Leena to no end, and it's obvious that it does, but it's for Nepheles sake. Plus, she should work on getting over her fear at least a little bit. She feels more capable of doing so with Nephele by her side (Or on top of her if you want to be literal).
During her impromptu checkup, it garnered Nepheles attention unsurprisingly. It really goes to show how often C'Leena does this to the point where Nephele can tell exactly what she is doing. Hell, if it were anybody else doing it, it could easily be misconstrued as hands wandering to places they shouldn't. While C'Leena is careful not to do that, it could still be seen that way. C'Leena was about to respond before Nephele squished her face, looking at her with confusion as well as a multitude of other emotions. God, her eyes are so damn beautiful. I would fucken love eyes like tha- She asked you a question, C'Leena. Stop staring like a highschooler seeing their first pair o' tits and answer her.
"What, am I not allowed to make sure you're all good?" She tries to deflect, but the look in Nepheles eyes makes C'Leena cave quickly. "I needed something to focus on for a bit, is all. I might not remember much about the nightmare, but the bits I do remember aren't exactly pleasant to think about." It sounds childish in hindsight. 'Ohh, I had a nightmare that my fiancé was angry at mee, it scared mee.' There is just something about the parts that she forgot that have left behind a lingering feeling of guilt. As if she had actively defiled her mothers grave in front of her or something. Whatever it is, it's not mixing well with her.
"It's stupid, dont'chu worry about a thing, alright?" She gives Nephele a quick kiss, hoping to either distract Nephele long enough that she can change the subject, or something like that.

Nephele listened to C’Leena with a deep frown on her face. She knows that if it was something bad enough that it would get C’Leena out of bed, it was probably pretty impactful. She seemed to be telling the truth, so Nephele didn’t press on any further. She rubbed a few circles absently into C’Leena’s back, sighing. “You haven’t seen me angry. ‘N you never will.” At least her sentences were getting longer, slowly waking up as she lay in C’Leena’s arms despite the curtain closing.
At the sight of the flame flicker to life some ways away, Nephele’s eyes shot open. She wasn’t wide awake by any means, but she suddenly appeared alert. Ever since that day that C’Leena altered those flames in Frost Gale, she had developed a nearly ridiculous protectiveness over C’Leena. She never really had to explain in the past why, but being as fire was one of C’Leena's biggest fears and Nephele’s mortal enemies, she had grown to be wary. There was beauty in fire, but so long as it scared the one she loved she kept herself alert at all times.
Still, when it seemed like it was just the fireplace, Nephele relaxed. All was well for her, thankfully. She also received a kiss, so that much she was happy for.
“Well, if you’re sure.” Nephele paused to stare at C’Leena, looking somewhere between forlorn and guilty.
“Should we…should we wait?” Her voice was still at a higher pitch, but her vocabulary was slowly making it back to her. Unfortunately it only took around fifteen minutes for the initial sleepiness to wear off before she slowly reverted back to her regular self. She wasn’t too pressed about moving though, especially as she slowly began remembering what she had to do today. "I don't wanna drag you somewhere you don' wanna be..." She only paused to yawn, turning her head, and covering her mouth with her palm.

"Really? Never? Dal, it's a miracle that I haven't driven you up the wall yet. In due time, you'll find a reason." She's mostly joking, but when they have their lives ahead of them it's an inevitability that they'll get pissy at one another. Although she does hope that it is far, far into the future.
When Nepheles attention is arrested by the flame, C'Leena laughs lightly. Still incredibly afraid of it, but Nepheles sudden protective attitude is truly beautiful to see. Wow, Nephele is just an incredibly sweet person, huh? "Don't worry, dal'n. That was purposeful." She says in a calming tone. A hand goes up to Nepheles braid as she lightly runs her fingers over it. A lot of the hair has escaped the braid, creating a rather frazzled look. "Do you want this redone? It's beginning to come loose."
"And I'm only ready when you are. This is your show, after all. If you'd like to wait, we can wait." She responds easily. Plus, it means they get to remain in this embrace for longer. During a brief lull in conversation, C'Leena begins humming a tune. She really misses being able to play music. She's been really wanting to revisit Sabaton and various other songs such as the one she's humming now. She very quickly slips into her own mind by accident, and quietly begins mumbling the lyrics. They are clear as day to Nephele due to their proximity."Lord, He don't know how I’m getting hot At the body shop, doing something unholy Lilith lies back while I’m dropping it, yeah I’m poppin' it Oh, I put it down slowly Oh-ee-oh-ee-oh, I left the Cross at Ho-ee-oh-ee-ome, so I can get that Heaven don't know angels get it hot At the body shop, doing something unholy"As C'Leena mumbles away, she has a sort of Thousand Yard Stare going on, simply gazing at the opposite wall lost entirely within the confines of her own mind. It's now that she suddenly shakes her head, snapping out of whatever she was thinking so deeply about. "Fuck, sorry. Zoned the hell out. Did I miss something?"

Nephele only allows herself to relax or a few minutes more, knowing that she can't avoid the day forever. Ultimately, the only reason she decides to move when she listens to C’Leena sing and realizes something is very, very wrong. At first the lyrics were questionable at worst, and then Nephele continues to listen. She had heard many a love song from C’Leena, all very beautiful and generally wholesome. However, this was not one of those cases.
The more that C’Leena sang, the more Nephele sat up, her alarmed blush growing more and more palpable as the seconds passed. When she lifted her head to look at C’Leena, it didn't seem that she was thinking about what she was singing at all. Nephele was too shocked to speak for several seconds. How did such a song just… flow out of someone? Her fiancé’s voice was still beautiful as always, if not a little bit distracted by whatever she found interesting on the wall (Nephele looked; there was nothing there). Still, it caught her off guard.
She should probably say something, right? As soon as that thought crossed her mind though, C’Leena seemed to pop back into reality, much to Nephele’s equal relief and chagrin. She almost asked something very stupid, that probably would have held them back hours; she was glad that C’Leena came down organically. Also, as... colorful as the song was, it wasn't the worst she had ever heard. It was certainly the worst that she had ever heard come out of C’Leena, with quite vulgar verbalization, but she supposed anything was better than a satyr’s song. Nephele may actually pass out come that day, but she mentally hopes she didn't have to. At least give the poor girl a couple of decades to warm up to the idea of that.
For now she was fighting down a blush and a stutter, no longer fully embracing C’Leena but still seated in her lap. She was staring her down, contemplative but mostly embarrassed. “You, um, you didn't miss anything. We should get ready to go, though. I think it will be easier if we just, uh, do that….” Nephele’s shyness had not vanished entirely in the past few weeks, able to handle flirtation without completely breaking down now (mostly). Still, Nephele still had quite a few plans; she felt that she still didn't get back from C’Leena’s flirtatious onslaught, even after what happened that night. Perhaps someday soon, the nymph would find a way to pay her back.
With a little bit of reluctance, Nephele got off of C’Leena's lap, preparing herself mentally and physically to go. She could worry about that later, when there were less pressing things at hand.

C'Leena was confused by how flustered Nephele suddenly was. She got up alongside Nephele and got ready for the day ahead, thinking what possibly could have flustered her. She was humming a song, then she zoned out and-ohhhh. C'Leena freezes as the dots connect, and after a few beats of silence, she starts laughing. Quietly at first, but it quickly evolved to full chest laughing.
"Oh my god waitwaitwait, the song flustered you? Pffff-" she breaks back out into laughter, not quite believing that Nephele got flustered over a song. Oh my god wait until she hears 'Slumber Party' She thinks, and promptly laughs harder at the thought. "Dal'n, I hate to break it to you but that's nowhere NEAR the worst one I know. That was tame compared to some other songs." While she'll love nothing more than to fluster the ever-loving hell out of Nephele by just singing her songs, they do have something to do today.
Finally breaking out of her laughing fit, she changes into more appropriate clothing - her Jeans, a longsleeve shirt that Nephele had picked out for her at some point and her dueling gloves worn under her sleeves. She doesn't plan on stabbing anybody, but it provides at least a little bit of formality. I should look at suits. I'm curious about how they're designed. The idea excites her. Perhaps while they're still here and if the suits actually come in black and not flora-colors.
It's been a long time since she wore a suit and a part of her misses it, strangely enough. Many people don't like wearing suits but C'Leena? She loves that shit. In her totally unbiased opinion, she looks great in a suit. There are more important things going on, however. Once both C'Leena and Nephele are ready to go, C'Leena speaks up. "C'mere. Anything we want to do before visiting?" She asks simply. She extends a hand for Nephele to hold as she speaks, hoping to be of a little comfort. It's obvious that Nephele has been stressing about this for a while, so C'Leena is going to do what she can to clear her mind of that.
She's her fiancé, after all.

Nephele didn't even take the time to explain herself to C’Leena as soon as she started laughing, Halfway between playfully pouting and glaring at her. “Let's just get ready!” She deflected poorly. Her hair was looking a bit messy at this point, but she felt that if she took anymore time with it being rebraided, she would fully avoid going in general. For now she was fine undoing it, tying it up into a high ponytail and making a mental note to herself to ask C’Leena to redo it later.
Nephele ended up dressing up in an outfit that C’Leena most likely only saw at the bottom of her bag; it was a dress. Nothing too ornate, just a black dress with water sleeves, although it looked almost stereotypically toga esque. To C’Leena, it very much mirrored what she would think of if she thought of ancient Greek clothing, with some very minor differences special to Charon and its Fey realm. Nephele didn't seem very happy with the outfit, clearly not liking how it felt on her skin, but she pretended to be fine with it. After all, this wasn't for her comfort. She also took her bag, the cider that she had still being carrying around half full and tucked away.
Nephele approached C’Leena and took her hand, sighing through her nose. “Honestly, I think it's just better if we get it out of the way. I don't want to delay the inevitable.” She failed to smile, but at the very least she squeezed her hand back. It was progress, no matter how small. Nephele reached up to peck C’Leena on the cheek, trying her best to relax. "Thank you for doing this with me. I truly do appreciate you, dearest."
“I would like to get some food from downstairs,” Nephele added after a moment of thinking. “I'm not hungry, but it's natural to bring offerings.”
