Nami watched the minotaur leave, breathing a huge sigh of relief when he finally left the room. She tried to relax, and could sense a bit of what Shaa had described... but to her it was just a warm mudhole... maybe she hadn't worked hard enough to fully benefit from the magic in question. Still, she gave it a solid try before extracting herself from the pool of earth. The grit was everywhere within her fur, caked on her body up to her neck, and felt very odd.
She stepped under the deluge of running water, fully expect it to chill her to the core. Her surprise was complete when the deluge of heat and pressure sloughed off the mud in large clumps. She stood under that wonderful stream of water for what felt like a lifetime. Each passing second made her feel cleaner than the last, until at last she felt as fresh as spring flowers covered in morning dew.
She carefully walked into the changing room, picking up the towel from the counter and drying herself off. She picked up her gear, tossed her clothing on over her damp skin and headed down the hall that Shaa indicated. When she reached the door, she opened it carefully. The centaur had no idea what to expect, but the adventure seemed somehow more vibrant since washing off the grime and soaking in the shower.
"Hello, Shaa?" She asked, peering into the shadowy, torchlit room.

Shaa lit some additional torches and said Come on in, I’ve saved the best for last. You are entering the worlds only Muffin bar. Walking into the room, it is several degrees colder than the rest of the Labyrinth. Shaa had worked some very complicated ice magic to keep it that way. The room itself was more long than it was big. On one wall was a series of dozens upon dozens of small cabinets, each with a handle and small label attached. In front of the cabinets was an extremely long marble stone bar with integrated stools on one side, like an actual bar. The rest of the room was full of a series of tables and chairs for people to sit and eat. The non cabinet side of the wall also held a book shelf filled to the brim with recipes.
Shaa walked to the bar and pulled out a cutting board and long knife along with a couple small earthenware mugs and a pitcher of something that looked and smelled like a berry milkshake. In the corner was a coat rack with several very large and fluffy coats.
Shaa pointed over to the coat rack. If you are cold, please grab a coat off the rack. As an elementalist, temperatures really don’t bother me much anymore. I keep this room cold because this is where I store a lot of my dairy and…these. Shaa turns and makes a large sweeping motion with his hands covering highlighting the vast array of cabinets. What you are looking at is a collection of almost every single kind of muffin in Charon. From Dusty Bums of Arid Mesa to Whit Scortchers in Dragons cradle. I also happen to have several original recipes tucked away in here that cannot be found anywhere else. The book shelves are my collection of how to make them all. And of course, pointing to the pitcher, something to wash it down with.
Shaa opens 4 cabinets and pulls out 4 very large muffins. He takes the knife and board and cuts sections out of each, placing them on the two plates. He then returns the rest of the muffins back to their designated cabinets. He slowly pushes one of the plates and a milkshake over to Nami. The plate shakes a small scraping noise of stone on stone as it gets pushed down the bar. I call these 4, the seasonal collection. They each remind me of a different season and are great in their own way. Please, give them a try. He walks over to a small music box at the end of the bar and turns the crank a couple times.

Nami entered the room, shivering slightly as the cool air chilled her damp body. She listened to Shaa's explanaion of the room, fascinated by the construction. She took a seat and watched the man rummage about, setting out a series of large pastries, as well as a beverage with fruity, sweet smells that filled the room. Relaxing in a comfortable seat, the centaur let her body rest and cool down in the chilly bar room. While she wasn't familiar with this 'Muffin', that made it all the more tantalizing.
When she was given a plate with four different chunks of sweet confection, her face lit up with excitement. Breaking off a piece of the first, Nami nibbled a corner of it. As the sweet, soft morsel's flavors tickled across her tongue, she ate the rest of the chunk in a single bite. The muffin had a cool sweetness, with a hint of minty notes. The wintry lightness reminded her of fresh snow falling in the mountains. She took a chunk from another, delighted by the warm, brisk flavors and spices. The flowery aroma and savory earthiness reminding her of the spring flower fields she regularly enjoys.
She took a long draft of the creamy, fruity milkshake, letting it's cold flavors accent the wonderful pastries. "This is an amazing snack Shaa, and quite the collection of recipes. If ya ever put the best into a book for others, let me know, I know a certain someone who would love a copy." Nami said, then took a piece of the next muffin. This one had citrusy flavors, and a touch of saltiness that reminded her of ocean beaches in the heat of summer. It brought her back to her days down in the Crescent Isles, chasing waves down the sandy shoreline when she wasn't learning or training.
The last muffin had the most complex of flavors, a bit of acidy sweetness, a mix of nuts and even a hint of harvest vegetables snuck in. It was a fascinating concoction, like someone took an entire harvest festival and packed it into a single, fluffy wonder. Nami understood why this room had so much effort and time poured into it. To make such wonderful treats was a feat of cooking prowess she probably would not be achieving in her lifetime. Her meals were rarely so complex, though she could distinguish most of the flavors. Having eaten many of the raw ingredients within, her palette was able to pluck at each one the way a bard might pluck the strings of a harp.
She finished the snack, letting out a sigh and smiling as the last of the shake chased the muffin flavors down. She stood and set her plate on the counter with the cup, listening to the sounds coming from above. The rain had all but gone, the winds barely breezing across the hills. The storm had moved on since their excursion into the weather front, which meant that Nami wouldn't have much trouble if she were to leave soon. Something told her the day was wearing on, and the sun would be setting soon. She hoped to make it further into the hills before that happened, and find a nice place to camp out under the stars before the sun set.
"It sounds like the storm has moved on, so I should be heading out into the wilds again as well. Thank ya for hosting me without notice, and showing me your home Shaa. Hopefully we cross paths again some time in the future." Nami said, fed, clean and with a tiny bit more knowledge than when she had arrived. Perhaps some day she would seek out this place again, albeit with a proper invitation, to train and feast and relax away from the hectic days out in the world.

Hmmm, I’m glad that you had a good time. Follow me, I’ll get you out the short way. Shaa grabbed one of the torches and once again made his way into the tunnels. It doesn’t take them long and they are soon back at the massive boulder that sealed the entrance. With a hard push of his shoulder, the large rock slides out of the way.
The small valley is wet and misty from the passing storm. There is a bit of a chill in the air as the sun starts descending and small wind currents whip around the valley floor. Shaa picks up a small book that was in a carved out section of the wall and steps into the misty valley.
Ok, here you are, safe and sound. Admittedly, I’m not home too often but if you ever find yourself in need of shelter or a snack, please feel free to come in and make yourself at home. Assuming you can move the boulder that is. He holds up the book for her to see. Just do me a favor and sign in and note anything you use. You know, for restocking purposes. He pulls out a small leather satchel and hands it to Nami. Here, take this. Just some snacks for the road from one wanderer to another. Nothing special. Consider it a courtesy for my friend Socket, wherever they are. Shaa looks up to sky and wonders for a moment where that could be. Friends came and went from his life so often, it was nice seeing the connections continue. He waves goodbye to the Centaur, replaces the book, and prepares to shut down for the night. It had been a good day and there was a small patch of grass in his bedroom that was calling him to sleep.
