C'Leena nods in acknowledgement as Azalea talks. It definitely sounds interesting, working as a private investigator. Perhaps in another life she would have done that, but she found her calling in the medical field.
C'Leena smiles upon hearing Azalea's hunch that she doesn't belong and leans forward, intrigued. "Alright, I'll play ball. What tells you that?" She looks amused, but not hostile in the slightest. Her origins haven't been a secret whatsoever, so she's wondering what Azalea thinks before she says anything.
----
Listening intently to Azalea's reasoning, her amused smile doesn't waver in the slightest, and she nods in acknowledgement once Azalea finishes her explanation. "M'kay, m'kay. I'm from a place called Melbourne, in a country called Australia, on a planet called Earth, in a solar system called Sol and in a galaxy called The Milky Way." She explains, not at all explaining what any of that means. She doubts that there is any knowledge on the universe here with how technologically deficient they are. Back home, technology would be akin to magic here.
On top of that, her people back home are actively exploring the galaxy and neighboring solar systems and inhabiting planets that used to not be able to sustain life. Again, not unlike magic to people here, she reckons. "We didn't have magic, but we have things that could probably be mistaken for magic, but is actually just science. Just like the prosthetics I mentioned, it's all science. The rules of reality and being. Shit like E = mc2 - which is the equation explaining that Energy and Mass are interchangeable.
E is 'Energy', M is 'Mass' and C is the speed of light, squared. So, Energy is equivalent to Mass times the Speed of light, times two."
Right now, she's enjoying absolutely confusing Azalea. She could start explaining how the nervous system works, but that might short circuit the poor kid. During her 'explanation', she has a wry grin on her face, basically screaming that she knows exactly what she's doing and doesn't plan to stop.

“It’s not like you’re keeping it a secret.” She answers with a shrug. “Medical stuff, and what’s-it. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! Just, around here… Gotta be a bit careful, yeah?” Azalea smiles sweetly as C’leena responds, but her smile slowly fades as she continues. She was enjoying this. As Azalea listened to her carefully, the small bit inside of her that was annoyed at being treated like she was the stupid one, for not knowing this stuff, showed herself a bit as she clicked her tongue. “Miss C’leena. You really should be more careful with this information. This all sounds a bit like you’re claiming that other dimensions exist - There’s not a lot of people as nice as I am, who would totally take advantage of that information!.” She smiles sweetly again.
“I could probably name a few things in this world you’re unfamiliar with. Maybe the cults of the long-dead Gods, or the Plague. Or… a number of ways to digress information from you.” Azalea’s eyes sparked a bit with a warning, but it passed as quickly as it came, and she went back to smiling. “But then, I’m not from this plane either… But I don’t know where I’m from… Oh well! I guess I’ll figure it out one day… Especially if you stick around.”
All empty threats. But hopefully enough to get her to knock off her shit.

C'Leena continues to listen. Her threats were empty but greatly amusing to C'Leena, and as Azalea continues, a certain gleam in her eye makes itself apparent. It's incredibly unfitting on C'Leena. It's a look that almost challenges the threats to become true. Her smile remains the same, but immediately feels wrong when the look appears.
"That does sound concerning, yes. Although, the last cultist group to try and fuck with me and mine were mysteriously raided by a single, very, very pissed off woman who coated their halls in blood. Strange, that." She says, continuing to make eye contact. It's made painfully obvious who this mystery woman was as she speaks. After she finishes, her entire look drops and she sighs. "Wasn't pleasant, I'll tell you that much."
She fixes her posture and continues the conversation. "I appreciate the concern. Really, I do. It's not like I go spouting it everywhere I go, but if someone wants to try to take me or Nephele, it's not going to end well for them, period." She says in a forced neutral tone. She's always hated killing people. It goes against everything she stands for, but sometimes it's required to keep her family safe. If it's to keep Nephele and herself safe? She'd do anything, and that protectiveness shows.
Now, C'Leena never intended to explain things as if she was somehow better. Sure, she had quite a few advantages when it comes to knowing how the world works and whatnot, but she never considers herself above others. In her explanations, she assumes that knowledge on gravity and the planet itself isn't widely known. Shes drawing from her own world's medieval times and the knowledge that people during those times would have.
It could definitely seem like she's being a prick about it, but it's not the case. Having said all that, she doesn't actually pick up on Azalea's annoyance. "Anyway.. Sorry about that uh.. tangent." She says, rubbing the back of her neck. "I just take the safety of those I love real damn serious. That, and I just like talking about where I come from. It's still home in a way, even if I don't consider it that anymore."
"Being brought here was terrifying, truly. I mean, on my first day I met a talking frog in a safari outfit. I wish I was kidding, that shit threw me for a loop and a half. But being brought here, I met my girlfriend, and I've been just living life with her and I haven't been happier. Doesn't mean I don't miss Melbourne. I like talking about the sort of progress and achievements that my humanity had accomplished. Ain't nothing more than that."

Azalea listened to her, and honestly, it sort of softened her a bit. Ugh, Azalea’s heart melted at the mention of love stories, but the mention of all of it, and how much she missed her home. Azalea sighed a bit. “Honestly? It sounds amazing. I wish I knew more about where I came from…. But I came here as a baby, and honestly, I am not even sure where I AM from. I COULD be from here. But I don’t think I am. I never fit in.” She shrugged. “Do you ever really miss it? Or try to find a way back? Do you think there IS a way to go back and forth? I mean, really, I have a lot of questions… But I’d love to hear more about YOUR humanity, and their achievements. Maybe try and figure out a way to hop back and forth, and maybe to others as well….”
She was talking too much again. Azalea scratched the back of her head as she cleared her throat. “What’s Nephele like?”
It was crazy to her, how different they were. Azalea did enjoy stories, after all. Even if she did get a little frustrated by things she didn’t understand.

C'Leena nodded and waited for Azalea to finish speaking before she answered her questions. It's obvious that she's not from around here, seeing as she hadn't seen anybody else that even vaguely resembled her. "Heading back? Maybe to visit, but not to stay. There is a way to drag someone from there to here, seeing as I'm walking proof of that, which would insinuate a way for someone here to go that way. I'm nowhere proficient in magic just yet, but once I feel like I know enough, it'll be the next thing I tackle."
In truth, she used to want to head back more than anything, but now she has someone here that C'Leena genuinely wants to spend her life with. This is where she wants to be from now on. "But yeah, there are plenty of things I miss. Music was vastly different than here and my favorite genres are straight up impossible to replicate here. Sometimes it can get pretty close, but it's just not right, you know? Uh, I miss my job, too, as weird as that sounds. Miss visiting Rose. Plenty of things I miss." She shrugs, however there was a noticeable change in her tone when mentioning Rose. She sounded almost saddened by the mention of her name.
"My humanity has a lot of good, but a hell of a lot of bad, too. Focusing on the good for now, though. We discovered ways to reliably escape the planet we found ourselves on and have begun exploring the stars and looking for other sentient life. Where I'm from, firstly magic doesn't exist as I've said - I think. Second, Humans are the only people around. There aren't any Elves, dwarves and Fellblood for example. They only exist in fiction - which is weird! We accurately guessed races on Charon without actually knowing what was going on here. Real fucken weird.
"Anyway, we've been actively using non magical ways to communicate across the entire world, terraform inhospitable planets - essentially forcing life into places that cannot sustain it and making it work anyway and so, so many other things that would be akin to magic. Then we get into the scary shit like nuclear warheads that I'm not even going to touch upon. Just uh, imagine some really angry ruler who can drop the sun on a country at the press of a button. And then give that button to every ruler."
She rubs the back of her neck at the subject, and opts to move swiftly forward. "Nephele is.. genuinely the sweetest person I've ever met. She's Fey, really long white hair, Cerulean skin and eyes that are fucking stars! She has stars for eyes, Azalea! I'm talking constellations that are exclusive to her!" The second that C'Leena mentions Nepheles eyes, she leans forward and has this incredibly dopey grin on her face. It's painfully clear that this Nephele means the world to her.
"She is genuinely so, so sweet. And patient enough to deal with my shit for about 4 months now every day. Frankly I'm surprised she hasn't tried to punch me yet." She laughs to herself, her grin taking on a more passive, loving look. "She's helped me through some dark times. I mean, I get this feeling of being less than, you know? When there is more machine and fake organs than there is flesh and blood, it can be really difficult to feel human. On top of getting thrown into Charon without any idea on what the fuck was going on and a multitude of other things, I was on my last nerve and ready to give up.
"Then Nephele showed up as I was celebrating a holiday from Australia. I was reciting poems and when I finished, she just appeared from thin air and complimented me for it. She hung around, one thing led to another and boom, I kiss her in a poppy field an hour and a half later. And then she asks for another one? How does something like that even happen?"
C'Leena is - unironically - madly in love with the woman she speaks about. It's clear to Azalea from how passionate she is talking about Nephele. She's gesturing wildly and has a smile that simply cannot be wiped from her features. Even after she stops, the smile remains, incredibly pleased to be able to brag about her girlfriend.
