She saw it from above. After the wagon behind him got stuck in the puddle he was pretty much home free. Her arms raised in victory as he passed the line in the sand to thunderous applause, all lingering confusion passing as the cheetah truly did morph back into Wolfes familiar handsome form. She pointed at the finish line, and Arcus obeyed, swooping down with haste as the rest of the racers began to filter through. Her final position didn’t matter to her as she landed beside Wolfe, nearly falling off the Pegasus with excitement.



    Running up to him with arms open, she wrapped around his shoulders with a big hug, and planted a kiss on his fuzzy blue cheeks. “Gods above, Congratulations Wolfe! I can’t believe that was you the whole time, thank you for getting me out of that starting line.” She beamed, a big hearty smile on her face. Collecting herself, she backed off a bit, her face red enough that it was unclear if it was sun or embarrassment. The cheers from the crowd finally died down as Gwen looked back to ensure Astrid was on her way. “I guess you’ve upheld your honour, a knight in shining armour.” She said, a more reserved smile directed towards him.

They did it! Blue beat everyone across the finish line! Astrid’s feet skip along the ground, but with a final burst of energy, she lifts herself back into the air to fly across the finish line some distance behind Arcus and Gwen. She feels her wings about to give out and lets herself down to the ground to run to meet them, and to her surprise, Gwen plants a kiss on Blue’s cheek. Astrid’s tired expression turns smug, and she waits back to give them some space. That’s not something she expected to see today.

When Gwen and Blue separate, Astrid scoots in their direction, running up and clapping Blue on the arm. “Ya did it! I knew ya could!” she says with a grin. Then her eyes cut to Gwen, giving her a sly expression but she says nothing. This is gonna be interesting. But do they tell Gwen that Blue is an ooze?? That's up to Blue, isn't it?

“Well, I’ll go find out about that prize, I think!” And she waltzes off.

"Guess we'll figure out what the heck happened with her maids too, huh?" she murmurs to herself while she walks away. Her eyes catch the movement of someone angrily breaking a wand upon seeing that Blue Raspberry is the one that won the race. Interesting. Maybe they tried sabotaging them? Oh, right, the carriage is suspended in the distance. Astrid releases the suspension, and the cart crashes into the ground, wheels flying off in all directions in a cloud of dust.

Blue was a bit surprised. They didn't expect Gwen to suddenly... try to bit their face? Well, she wasn't very good at it. She didn't bite them at all really, just touched her lips to their cheek. But she was happy and thankful, so it was fine.

"Thanks! Well, I couldn't just leave you there with your maids driving off without you. But it was fun! We should do this again. You can ride me any time." Blue said cheerily with a big smile that showed they had absolutely no idea of the other ways their last statement could be taken.

"Wait, there was a prize?" Blue asked, looking after Astrid as she walked off.

    Her smile changed immediately to disgust with a full-faced blush. She let go, and slapped the man across his fuzzy blue face. “B-Baka” She stutters as she covers her face and runs away, off into the crowd. The people gathered around toi celebrate the victory paused, looking at Gwen escaping to the crowd and looking back to Wolfe who stood at the finish line.



    “Ehehe, women am I right?” The announcer that Astrid called to their location says. “Their moods are a mystery. Anyway, congratulations on exciting win! Here, take this sack of Solars as well as this Camel Trophy!” He says excitedly. “Everyone! Let’s hear it for Wolfe!”
