“Whoa! Nice!” Cirice cheered for Blue from behind him. He was dispatching the bugs with relative ease, but she couldn’t let him have all the fun. Perhaps she wanted something show-stopping. She reached into the bag on her hip and pulls out a small brown square, popping it into her mouth and chewing on it quickly. Her eyes begin to glow with a purple hue and suddenly the wind around them is whipped into a frenzy¹!

Before the two bugs can get close to her they’re caught up in a sudden twister right in front of her, it spins wildly, ripping through the half-eaten vegetation and heading towards the source of even further commotion, catching up more debris and bodies as it goes. “I’ll make you a nice pile Blue!” She shrieks gleefully, seemingly steering the tornado through the area with ease.

More bugs pop out from between the trees but their wings are not strong enough to evade the whirlwind.

1 Storm Chocolate

Blue was glad to see Cirice wasn't in any trouble with the few that got past. She even seemed to be enjoying herself, steering a tornado around with glee. This was going great! There'd be so much to eat when this was over, the ooze couldn't help getting excited. As more bugs starting flying in, they just got even more excited as the future meal turned into a feast.

Though the swarm was starting to get somewhat overwhelming. Their claws and tail might not be able to keep up with the amount of bugs trying to impale them and the last one had left a dent in their pauldron. It was time to get a little more serious! The electricity sparking between Blue's claws started to intensify, spreading to the rest of their body and arcing between the metal armor. Mixed in among the streaks of the bright blue lightning were some red ones that seemed more intense then the rest.

As the swarm swooped in to attack the electrified knight, they couldn't even get close. Electricity arced off of the armor and connected with the tips of their proboscis, a leg, a wing. They all fell to the ground, zapped like flies attracted to an oversized, human-shaped bug zapper. The few who somehow managed to survive were paralyzed on the ground, unable to move at all. Blue looked around at all the treats on the ground around them, their tail swaying behind them happily.

Before any of the survivors could recovered from the momentary paralysis and get up and try to fly away, a thin layer of blue goo seeped across the ground around the knight, sticking the bugs in place like a giant glue trap.

Goo Puddle

From above a stirge divebombs the two advnturers and deftly Cirice catches its probosis inbetween her palms¹. “Wow these bugs are tenacious, huh?” She comments, holding the struggling bug in one hand and cutting it to shreds with her shadowy claws. Once its dead she tosses it down with the rest of the struggling bugs in the sticky mess. “How many do you think there are? We’ve fought a whole swarm!”

The tornado is still raging around, tearing at the vegetation and gaining momentum. So far no more bugs have reared their ugly heads, and it seems that they may have defeated the threat.

Suddenly a cacophonous chorus of angry buzzing fills the air as a massive stirge, easily the size of two or three of the ones they’ve fought so far, comes barreling towards them, intent to kill. Behind it a vangard of more stirges follows with viscous probosis ready to stab.

But Cirice has an idea, the big one she probably can’t do much about, but the smaller ones? Picking one or two off whouldn’t be too hard considering the sticky trap Blue made. She summons a wall of violet light above the stirges right as they fly over the goo and with a flick of her wrist the wall descends, pinning two of them into the trap².

"I dunno, but I hope there's more!" Blue replied excitedly. The more bugs appeared, the bigger the ooze's feast. With the bugs easily being zapped around them, it felt less like a fight to them and more like picking up some groceries. Some big bug-shaped groceries in the middle of the forest. A normal knight thing to do, surely.

When the much bigger, much tastier looking bug suddenly buzzed into view, Blue was ecstatic. Now that one looked like more than just a snack! Blue ran forward, leaving the bugs trapped in the puddle of goo behind them, and slashed at the much larger bug. This one was much more of a fight than the others though. It flew backwards, evading the claws, and then lunged at the knight with its sharp proboscis.

With a loud clap, Blue caught the proboscis between their claws and a thin layer of the same sticky slime that they'd spread across the ground held it firmly in place while the bigger bug struggled to try and pull itself away. While blue smiled wide at their catch, more of the smaller bugs swarmed around, aiming their own proboscises at the knight. Suddenly, from every gap in their armor, a hazy cloud of blue gas sprayed out around them.

The bugs flew out of the cloud, their eyes burning from the mildly acidic mist. It wasn't enough to do real harm, but it was enough to get them to leave the ooze alone while they twisted around and slammed the bigger bug down onto the ground, right into the center of the puddle of goo. A bit of electricity cracked across the suplexed specimen as it twitched, stuck in place.

“Wow that was awesome!” Cirice exclaimed, “You’re really strong, Blue! You just manhandled that bug!”

There’s only a couple of the stirges left now, escaping the cloud around Blue with annoyed sounds. Cuts open up across the body of one of the insects as Cirice inflicts wounds upon it, ichor spilling out all over the ground as it falls from the air. The last stirge, left to itself and bereft of backup it tries to fly away and escape, but it too is cut to pieces, falling dead to the ground¹.

“Whew… There were a lot of them… We made quite a mess…” Cirice laughs a little. “You’ve certainly got a feast if you’re wanting to eat all these bugs. Do you need…. Help?” She asks uncertainly, looking around at the carnage they’ve caused.

She steps towards the puddle of goo and looks at them curiously, “They’re weird, huh? Those noses look really stabby… I bet they suck a lot.”

1 Inflict Wounds

Blue looked proudly at both of their handiwork, most of the bugs piled in the puddle of the sticky gloop already. There were just a few scattered around outside of it, mostly those thrown around by Cirice's tornado.

"Thanks! Nah, I can handle it. I got an idea."

Blue went around picking up the scattered corpses and tossing them into the pile with the others. Along the way they also gathered up other tasty looking debris on the ground. The half eaten lantern lights torn off the trees by Cirice's tornado, some leaves, a few twigs and rocks. Soon, all of the corpses and other toppings were gathered up on top of the circle of blue slime. A few of the bugs still twitched and struggled, trying to free themselves from the glue trap and fly away.

With everything gathered up, Blue grabbed the edge of the goo which had started to congeal and started rolling it up. It peeled off of the ground, pulling up the dirt and grass beneath it in a coating on the underside. The few living bugs let out buzzes of panic as they were sealed inside. The gooey disk was rolled up like a giant tortilla into a big, lumpy bugritto that was five feet long and as thick around as Blue Raspberry themself. Some of the lumps were still wiggling as some of the bugs inside continued to struggle.

Blue looked at it excitedly before starting to eat it. Cirice could only watch as their mouth stretched far wider than any human mouth should have been able to as they practically swallowed it whole. As it entered their mouth, it was as if it just vanished with no signs in the knight's throat of anything going down and no chewing. It just... disappeared.

When the last of the bugritto vanished and their mouth returned to normal, they rubbed the front of their cuirass with a contented sigh. They looked back at Cirice with a smile as if they hadn't just done something potentially horrifying right in front of her.

"Yeah, they were pretty weird, but they were really tasty! You think there are any more of them around?"

Watching this horror unfold before her Cirice worked hard to keep her expression neutral and calm as Blue unhinges their mouth unnaturally and consumes the massive roll of corpses, detritus and goo as if it was a tasty little snack at tea. She holds back her revulsion and forces herself not to gag as the bugritto vanishes almost as quickly as it was made, the forest’s damage all thats left as evidence of it.



Blue pats his tummy and looks at her with a smile and she gives a hesitant smile and double thumbs up in return. “I-I have no idea… Um tasty, sure…” She walks over unsurely and looks him over, fascinated and disgusted in equal measure. “How did you DO that?”

"Do what?" Blue asked completely innocently and oblivious to the disgust on Cirice's face.

Blue looked around and listened for any more buzzing through the trees. They'd enjoyed the burrito of bugs and forest litter, but of course, the ooze was always hungry for more to eat. The bugs had been tasty to them and they hoped to find a few more around, but they couldn't spot or hear any more of them in the forest. They placed their still wolfishly clawed hands on their hips and thumped their reptilian tail on the ground in disappointment.

"I don't see or hear any more of them. Maybe that was all of them..." Blue muttered sadly.

They turned back to Cirice with a smile again. "Well, I think I'm gonna go look for some more of them! They were really good! You want to come with me? I'll let you have one of them! I owe you for the muffins."

“That… Where you unhinged your jaw and just… Inhaled that roll of gross sludge and bodies… How did you come to be able to do that?” Cirice questions, “you know what, I’m not sure I want to know…”



“I’m good. I don’t really eat bugs, but I’m glad you’re happy to. I’ll join you. But if that was their Queen I don’t know if there are very many more left.” She shrugs and looks around. “We really did a number to the forest… Whoops. How about instead of bugs as repayment for muffins we go and have a real meal at a tavern if we can find one? Sound good?” She pats his shoulder. The strange knight is still an absolute mystery to her, not one she believes she'll unravel any time soon. But she's willing to wait to understand. For now the fact they don't seem to want to eat her is enough.

"Oh, uh... It's a normal knight thing! Yeah. Don't worry about it!" Blue replied hastily.

Woops! They forgot that human mouths definitely couldn't do that in their excitement to eat. They'd also practically forgotten Cirice didn't already know they were an ooze. She'd already seen them transform before and eat Harpies, so it just felt completely normal to inhale the bugs right in front of them. They should try to be more careful next time. Maybe they should have turned into a giant wolf to eat the bugritto. That might have been less weird.

"Sure! You're probably right. And I love tavern food! Let's go!" Blue started walking off excitedly before turning around and coming back to Cirice again. "Which way is a tavern?"

Cirice laughs and shakes her head. “Tell you what if you’ll let me ride on your wolf back I’ll point the way north, there’s a village up there and we can head to their tavern and see what they have!”

Blue nodded excitedly and his form shifted and burbled into that of a slightly sticky blue wolf. Undeterred Cirice hops onto his back and summons her little lilac moon once more¹. “Don’t eat it this time.” She teases as they follow the moon northward towards civilization and a good, totally normal meal.
