Appearance:

Cirice is a young, lithe moon elf woman in the full bloom of her youth with very light skin with a slight bluish-grey tint and shoulder length silver hair. Her eyes are a light lilac color and she wears mostly shades of purple, black, and silver. As a part of her personal worship she paints her face and body with symbols she believes to be sacred to Lunala in white paint. Her forehead is adorned with an upside down crescent moon, she has two lines across her nose, lines under her eyes, and peeking out from under her elbow length gloves are the edges of arcane symbols and sigils. Occasionally she changes the symbols she paints on her body with images that come to her in dreams.  Her dress is very simple and flowy and she prefers dresses with lots of fabric and leggings underneath with comfortable boots that come up to her knees. She has a weakness for clothes and finds opportunities to update her style as she has the solars for it.


Personality:

Cirice is a very naïve and trusting young woman, who believes that all people have a capacity for good. Even if its against their will. She is bright, upbeat and excited and her resting face is a bright smile. She wants people to be happy and live well, doing her best to make that a reality. She revels in the beautiful and loves to travel and see the wonders of every place she visits. Bright, bubbly and quick to make friends, her zeal for life is second only to her faith, which is absolute and unshakeable. She relies heavily on the words and direction given to her in dreams by Mother Moon, listening to that above everything, even the advice her friends and comrades give her. She can be forgetful at times, especially when she's excited. She's also terrible with money, tending to spend it quickly and without thinking too much about it, buying food and clothes and simply doing quests and odd jobs to get by. Cirice also tends to read too far into situations at times, or sometimes not far enough, being rather delusional at times as she believes that some people are her very best friends even if they barely tolerate her.


History: 

Cirice grew up on the small island of Shingetsu "the island of the New Moon," the nearest of the Crescent Isles to Moonglade. Shingetsu being so close to Moonglade itself but farther south than Starlight City it became a melting pot between the two cultures and a very popular trading port between lesser trading companies between the two countries. The whole of the island is mainly the port and bamboo forest with reefs just off the shore on most sides. The inhabitants are mostly tradesmen and fisherfolk. The most interesting feature of the island outside of the port itself is a waterfall that feeds into a large, round moonpool. On the full moon the waters of the pool perfectly reflect the face of the moon, making the locals believe the pool scared to Lunala.

The moonpool being sacred, it is considered a great honor and a goal for local women to have their children in the sacred waters. It was not uncommon for expecting mothers to be guests of the Lunestre household in order to be close to the moonpool when the time comes. Babies born under the full moon are considered the most blessed and Cirice herself was born in the sacred waters under a lunar eclipse, a rare occurrence considering the small population of the island.

Cirice comes from a family that is blended between the two cultures, her mother Lyleth's family the Lunestres, were tradespeople who hailed from Eclipse City while her father Seto's family, the Tsukinaga, had been fishermen for countless generations. Their home is modest but comfortable, sitting outside of the port itself. The house is nestled in the bamboo forest atop a small hill next to the stream that falls into the moonpool.

Cirice's childhood was bright and warm and happy, her family kind and loving, pillars of their community. One day when she was a child as she was playing near the falls she slipped and fell, hitting her head and nearly drowning. In those fleeting final moments of consciousness she felt a presence... As the darkness and cold pressed in and threatened to consume her she felt something tug at her mind. Suddenly, she felt a surge of strength and burst out of the water coughing and sputtering. As her breathing calmed and her eyes opened, she focused first on the crescent moon hanging above her. Despite her previous panic she feels a serenity settle over her. That night she slept deeply, an endless, comforting darkness replacing her dreams and a voice, calm, commanding and kind, calling out to her introducing themselves as Mother Moon. Believing this voice to be her savior Lunala, from the next morning forward she dedicated her life to the service of Mother Moon.

As her faith grew and she worked tirelessly on the island to spread the faith in the name of Mother Moon she found herself possessed of powers bestowed by her goddess. On the night of her coming of age ceremony she had a vision, a shrouded feminine figure with a upside down crescent glowing upon their forehead  instructed her to travel and spread her faith throughout the world. So she left Shingetsu and all she knew to become and adventurer.
