With a successful escape from what happened to be Cantio's parents' estate, Astrid and Blue Raspberry fly from the housing district to the Gold Port where a warehouse for a certain group of vigilantes sits nestled, unassuming, amongst other import storage houses. The biggest difference between this one and the others is that inside, it's quite active for being the evening of a winter night in Charon. Most dock workers have long since gone home after moving cargo all day. Ensuring the street is clear, Astrid lands with Blue Raspberry, folding her wings in close and sneaking into the warehouse. Inside, the "workers" that can be spotted all seem to be in animal costumes of varying quality. Most of them are red or include some amount of red in their outfit, so Astrid and Blue Raspberry stand out a bit. "Oi, where's your haul?" one of them asks, seeing them coming back empty-handed. "Don't worry about it!" Astrid says with a playful grin. "Don't ya know adventurers work in mysterious ways?" That answer doesn't satisfy the guy in the fox costume much, and he rolls his eyes. "Hurry up and unload. We've got a fence coming later tonight so we can enact our plan on Winter's Crown eve." With that, he picks up a small box and carries it across the warehouse. Astrid doesn't know why he called the buyer a fence, it seems like an odd word to use to describe them, so she assumes it's secret vigilante language and heads over to the area where they can unload and sort the stolen goods. There are bins, crates, and tables with signs and labels for different kinds of things: art pieces, metal, fragile pieces, clothes, food, etc. "Alright, Blue, let's get ta unloadin'!"
Quest Name: Protect the Hideout Chapter: Two Description: One of our hideouts have been discovered and some helpers of the rich are on their way to destroy it and ruin our progress. Please help defend the warehouse, fending off any attacks or attempts to destroy the building. You can be as creative as you would like, but combat may be needed. If we are to pull off the great Heist, we need these warehouses safe and in tact.
Requirements: - Requires exactly two people (you and one other, can be doing opposing quest) - You must make at least 5 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words - Once you complete this mission you gain access to chapter three. (which needs to be a separate topic)

Not wanting to be seen as an obvious ooze, Blue Raspberry's form was slightly different from the one they had burgled in. They still wore the mostly unbuttoned wolf onesie with the hood up, but the extra arms and the tail were once again gone. The blue, smooth, oozey torso they had had now looked much more human, flesh toned with defined muscles. They still stood out quite a bit, but not as an ooze at least. Blue Raspberry gave a wide, toothy smile with their hands on their hips as the man asked where their haul was. They were about to begin to go unload it all when they hesitated. Blue Raspberry leaned down close to Astrid and whispered. "Um, if all this stuff is from Cantio's parents, didn't we want to return it or something?" they asked, a bit confused by the situation. They didn't know what a fence had to do with all this stuff, but it probably wouldn't be returned to Cantio's parents by it. Waiting for Blue Raspberry to unload, Astrid just pauses and looks at them. "Uhhhh... Well... They're on the list of folks ta target, and Cantio don't really get along with 'em, so... it's probably fine. We should keep all the stuff that's sentimental though! I wanna give it ta Cantio!""Ok, got it!"Blue Raspberry wasn't great at recognizing what was sentimental or not, or what category each of the things they had were supposed to be in, so they just started unloading in a less crowded corner, pulling the loot out of their torso and placing it on the ground. They just let Astrid tell them to either put it back in or take it to where it should go.

As they work on unloading things and sorting through them, several others work on the same thing. Most of the other vigilantes don't have the same sized haul as them. Funnily enough, Blue and Astrid seem to be the only ones with larger art pieces and breakable vases. For the other thieves, these things were difficult to carry. For a hungry ooze with an infinite stomach, they're easy to fill. It takes a long while to unload and sort everything, and eventually, Astrid has placed the things they won't be keeping into bins and carefully tucks a couple of portraits of the family and family members, the sketched painting of Cantio performing, and Cantio's stuffies, sketchbooks, and a couple of nice jackets from his wardrobe back into Blue Raspberry's stomach.
With her hands on her hips, the girl looks particularly satisfied, and most of the warehouse has cleared out of other thieves. Just as she turns to Blue to ask if they're ready to head out, she barely makes out the sound of a click, twang, and thud. Astrid's head tilts, surprised by this, and her brow furrows. Something is off. Things are quieter than she'd expect, and most of the other thieves at least called out a goodbye, but she's not sure everyone left. She holds her hand out to Blue Raspberry, dropping her voice low.
"I just heard somethin'. Can I get me hammer?"

Blue Raspberry nodded. They didn't know which hammer Astrid wanted specifically, since she had several, so they just reached in and pulled out any of Astrid's hammers from their stomach. They pulled out her toy hammer and handed it to her, then pulled out her other hammer with the long cord hanging off of it still lead into them, connected to the belt that was also in there. They put the hammer on the ground and began to pull the cord out, hand over hand like a magician pulling a string of handkerchiefs from their bellybutton, until the whole cuirass it's end was attached to suddenly emerged and they handed it to Astrid too. Finally, they tried to pull out her usual, magically enchanted hammer, but it was far too heavy for them to lift. They pulled the hammer out and then struggled, straining to try and pull it out before just lying facedown on the ground. When they stood again, the hammer was on the floor, the handle sticking straight into the air.
Blue Raspberry looked around curiously. What did Astrid hear? Was there some kind of problem? If she needed her hammers, there must be something up. Were they going to have to fight someone? Should they pull out anything else? Should they get ready for battle?
"Is something wrong? Do you need anything else? I got all your usual gear in here." they whispered, concerned.
They looked around for anything that might be wrong that Astrid had heard. Only now did the ooze notice that the place was a lot less busy than it had been when they'd arrived. Several people had said goodbyes and left, but not that many. There should still be some other people here, right? The place was now practically empty other than Astrid and Blue Raspberry.

Astrid watches the chaos of Blue Raspberry offering up her hammers one by one unfolding before her, temporarily pulled out of her attempt to be listening out. A couple of times, her mouth opens then closes then opens as if she intends to say something but instead just watches this happen. Her face twists into one of confusion when the toy hammer comes squeaking out, and she picks it up then waits for them to finish before offering it back.
"Not this one, but those two, yeah..."
She considers taking the time to put on her cuirass but decides if something is happening, she won't have time, so she motions for Blue to re-consume the cuirass and silvered hammer on a cord. Then she pulls down the collar of her onesie to show she's at least got padding on underneath it since that's easy enough to move. Astrid lifts her war hammer and creeps over to a corner to take a peak around. It really is too quiet in here.
"I dunno, I heard somethin' weird," she says quietly. There was something familiar about the sound, but she can't put her finger on it. "Be careful. Someone might've gotten tailed by the guards back here." Deciding more eyes are better, she casts the duplication spell, and another Astrid appears, immediately sneaking across the gap and going to investigate another area of the warehouse. Melodia would be helpful too, so she calls on her, holding her finger to her lips. The ghostly woman appears, and Astrid quietly explains that something weird is happening here. Concerned, Melodia nods, goes invisible, and goes throughout the warehouse to look for any suspicious activity.
Astrid looks back at Blue Raspberry and whispers, "We should stay quiet, just in case." Then she creeps forward to start investigating the warehouse. She hears Bstrid make a sound to catch her attention, so she creeps over there and quickly finds there are two legs on the ground poking out from behind a corner. This sparks significant concern for Astrid, and she rushes over to find a young adult man unconscious with a crossbow bolt in his shoulder.
Both Astrids crouched over him, she panics a little. There's blood seeping from the shoulder wound, and she's not a healer. He's unconscious too! Astrid shakes him gently. "H-Hey, wake up!" she hisses. "What happened??" But the man doesn't stir. She checks his pulse, and he's breathing. He's not dead, but he's injured. "Shoot! Blue, I've got a potion in me bag in yer gut. It's kinda cold. It'll heal him!"
Bstrid whispers, "Wait, where's this guy's costume? This is the guy that was in the fox costume, wasn't he? Maybe he took it off..."

Blue Raspberry nodded and reconsumed the armor and toy hammer. Duh, Astrid had wanted that hammer. They were glad they hadn't started pulling out her tool kit. And they were glad Astrid had been considerate and hadn't just summoned it straight out of their stomach.
Blue Raspberry had a look of concentration for a moment before they pulled out the tiny, icy cold bottle on a necklace chain from their mouth and handed it to Astrid. The guy had a crossbow bolt sticking out of his shoulder, this was definitely an attack! Someone was here and they were an enemy. Blue Raspberry had promised Cantio they'd keep Astrid safe during their adventures, but they knew the best way to do that was to help Astrid do it herself.
While Astrid was dealing with the injured man, the ooze began to pull out whatever they thought might be helpful in a fight. They coughed up Astrid's magic gauntlets. No, any armor would take too long to put on. They put them back. They pulled out her cloak. Would this be hard to put on? They weren't sure, so they just put it back in. Oh, her shield! That'd be helpful, especially when she didn't have her second hammer in her other hand. She could use this, and it would protect her!
"Here! Yeah, but I don't think they took it off themself." they whispered.
Blue Raspberry gave all of the regurgitated shield to Astrid before turning and glancing around for whoever was here. The ooze seeped from the tops of their boots and engulfed them. Their hands and feet shifted to have sharp, wolf-like claws and blue fur. Suddenly, the wolf costume appeared far less like a costume as their hands and feet resembled that of a werewolf.

"Yeah, yer right about that," Astrid says, watching Blue Raspberry cough up her buckler. That'll probably be useful. In the meantime, she grabs the bolt and yanks it out of the man's shoulder. She quickly covers his mouth to cover his pained shout then pours the potion down his throat. He sputters on it and coughs quietly, coming back to consciousness with a surprised jolt. "Ow, what the hells??" he grimaces, looking between both Astrids and Blue Raspberry. He feels the puncture wound in his shoulder close up and presses his hand against it. "What... What was-" Seeing the bloody bolt beside him on the ground, he feels woozy. Astrid shakes him a little. "Oi, oi, shhh. What happened? Who shot ya?" she asks quickly. He looks around frantically. "Shot? I-I don't know. I was making my way out, and I saw someone with a hood. I heard something like... like a crossbow, maybe? Then I woke up here."
Astrid covers his mouth as he keeps panicking. "Did ya take off yer fox costume?" He shakes his head, and she looks more concerned. Great, someone's snuck in here that intends them harm. Shoot. She sees another potion tumble out of Blue Raspberry, one that's dark purple, and before they can put it back, she nabs it and offers it to the man who previously wore a fox onesie. "Take this," she says. "It'll help ya sneak out. We'll figure out what's goin' on and deal with 'em." "What? Are you sure?" the man asks in a whisper. Then he notices her hammer, the second Astrid, and the seriousness of all of their expressions. "Sh-Should I get the guard??""Aye, we'll distract whoever it is in the meantime.""But... but if I get the guard, they'll know about our hideout."Astrid's expression grows surprisingly sharp. "Who cares about that? There might be more folks in here who got attacked! Get movin'! Be careful. We'll cover ya." With that, she pulls him to his knees, makes sure he drinks the potion, then gets him moving toward the door, collecting the buckler and fitting it on her arm, Astrid follows after him while Bstrid stays back with Blue Raspberry to keep an eye out. As Astrid rounds a crate to escort the man at least so the door is within eye line, Bstrid looks at the ooze knight, her hand gripping her duplicate war hammer tight. "Let's get ta lookin'," she says, turning to head across the warehouse. "There you are," a raspy voice says, seemingly coming from nowhere. Before Twostrid has a second to react, a heavy boot suddenly slams into her side, kicking her right into Blue Raspberry. The duplicate girl lets out a cry of surprise as she slams into the ooze, sinking into the ooze's surface with a true look of horror on her face. Interesting... the hooded figure thinks, dodging behind the piled crates before scaling it with ease to get a better vantage point. Their shadow cast across the ground by the moonlight from windows in the roof reveals fox ears, a thick, equipped form, and a crossbow in their hands.
Essence of the North [1/topic] Potion of Shadows [1/topic] Call Ghost [post 2/3] Ceena's Build Hood Cuirass Gauntlets Greaves Weapon Tether (repeater crossbow) Hand Hook Sun Sparked Goggles - A small pair of goggles with a leather strap used to wear the pair of glasses. The goggles themselves are made of red tinted plastic and fitted to securely sit pressed against the face. The red plastic is tinted to protect the eyes from bright lights of all kinds, including flames, light and even magical blinding effects. While wearing these goggles you ignore any blinding effects.
Exalted Marksmen Master Blade Master Armor Master Alchemy Novice Stealth Bull's Strength
Vicious Dagger -This jagged and serrated dagger is said to be filled with the soul of an anguished spirit. This weapon has the serrated enchantment on it, causing any wound inflicted by this blade to rip and tear flesh, unable to be healed by normal healing magic. In addition, the injured targets mind will be filled with horrifying images of pain and death, they will watch the death of the spirit who's soul is trapped in the blade, violent and bloody scenes playing out in their mind for a single post. Repeater Crossbow - A large heavy crossbow made of thick wood and fitted with odd metal contraptions. This machine operates much like a normal crossbow, however instead of firing a single bolt before needing to be reloaded, this crossbow will fire three separate bolts with the pull of a single trigger, one after the other in quick succession. However because of its size and weight, this weapon requires two hands to use and must be reloaded before being used again. Bolts - 60 Magic Blocker - This enchantment gives the item the ability to cut off one's access to their magical energy. If this weapon strikes a target's bare flesh (by cutting through fabric or armor) that target cannot summon their magical energy for their next post. Active effects will continue to persist, however, they cannot use new spells. Life Link - This enchantment allows the wielder to heal from attacks landed against an enemy. After striking an enemy minor cuts, scraps and wounds will slowly heal up, giving the weapon's wielder some rejuvenation.
POISONS (SELF ONLY) Numbing Poison x1 set - A tiny glass bottle filled with thick dark green liquid. This liquid can be applied to objects or even directly applied to a target. When this liquid is applied to the skin it will begin to numb that area, causing whoever it is own to lose all feeling in that area. This will allow the afflicted to ignore the sensation of damage applied to that area. They will still take the damage, but ignore its pain. Comes in a set of two bottles. Delusional Poison x1 set - A small glass bottle with dark black liquid that seems to swirl around. This poison can be consumed or applied to a weapon, which allows it to enter a wound. If this liquid enters the blood stream it will cause the targets head to feel dizzy, causing them to become unaware for a few moments. They will feel dizzy, have a cloudy mind and find their reaction speed dramatically slowed down, almost as if they were super drunk. These effects will last for three post. Comes in a set of two bottles. Sleep Poison x1 set - A small glass bottle filled with a murky clear liquid. This liquid is odorless and can easily be slipped into food or drink, or even added to the edge of a weapon. If this poison enters the blood stream it will knock the afflicted person unconscious instantly. They will remain asleep for the entirety of their next post. If they take damage they will be awoken from their slumber. Comes in a set of two bottles. Frostfire Extract x1 - Applying the poison to a weapon gives its strikes a unique effect reflecting its name. For 2 posts after application, wounds inflicted by the poisoned weapon produce a moderately painful, localized burning sensation that slowly removes body heat from the victim. If these wounds are left untreated or unhealed, the poison will eventually induce severe hypothermia. Anyone afflicted by this poison can not cast spells that use or deal fire damage. Can only be applied once per topic. Parasite poison - A tiny glass bottle filled with lavender liquid. This liquid can be applied to objects or even applied directly to the target. When the liquid is applied to the skin, it will begin to eat away at the top layer of skin, almost like burning it away. This will expose the wound and make it vulnerable to more damage, as well as deal damage itself.
POTIONS lightning resistance potion - A small glass flask filled with thick bright yellow liquid that can be attached to a belt or stored in a bag. This flask contains enough liquid for a single person to consume. The liquid itself gives off the sound of static, crackling from within the bottle, and gives off a minor shock when consumed. Whoever drinks this potion will become immune to lightning damage, ignoring any damage dealt by a source of lightning, be it a spell or enchantment. The effects of the potion last for two post. Comes in a set of two bottles. Eagle Sight Potion x1 - A small glass flask filled with thick grey liquid that can be attached to a belt or stored in a bag. This flask contains enough liquid for a single person to consume. Anyone who drinks the contents of the flask will find their eye sight vastly improved. You can see twice as far as normal and can even see in vision obstructing material like smoke, mist or fog. Comes in a set of two bottles Quick speed potion - A small glass flask filled with light yellow liquid that can be attached to a belt or stored in a bag. This flask contains enough liquid for a single person to consume. Anyone who drinks this potion finds their physical capabilities increased, now being able to move quicker than they normally could. This doubles their move speed, making them run faster than normal. Comes in a set of two bottles.
FLASKS Smoke Flask x1 set - A small glass flask filled with thick dark smoke, swirling around inside of it. This bottle can be smashed or broken to allow the smoke to spill out of it. The smoke creates a large cloud, filling up the area and consuming anyone standing inside of it. This smoke obscures vision, blocking out anyone inside of it and preventing people from seeing. Anyone looking from the outside in wont be able to see anything either. Comes in a set of two bottles. Flash Flask x1 set - A small glass flask filled with bright light, swirling around inside of it. This bottle can be smashed or broken to allow the light to spill out of it. When smashed this light will flash outward, attempting to blind anyone looking at the light. They will be unable to see for the next post, their vision filled with blind whiteness. Comes in a set of two bottles. Explosive Cask x1 set - A wooden bottle lined with metal bearings and a rubber cork. The bottle is filled with charged energy, a swirling bottle of fire and flame. This bottle can be smashed or broken to create a small explosion centered on the bottle. Flame and heat explode outwards, igniting things on fire or dealing a large amount of damage to anyone caught inside the blast. Comes in a set of two bottles. Explosive Ornaments x1 set of 3 - Three glass ornaments used to decorate trees and homes during the winter. These however have been tampered with by pirates from dragon's cradle and sold as a prank. These glass balls are filled with black powder, and when applied to flame will instantly explode. This firey explosion will reach up to five feet from the ornament and deals moderate fire damage.
STEALTH Shadow hiding - By standing completely still you can cause a simple shadow to fall over your body. This allows you to blend in to the darkness or even a pre existing shadow. As long as you are not moving, you fade into blackness, becoming hidden within a shadow or absence of light. While you are nearly impossible to see, if you move it will break the skill and you will become visible. Dark Vision - Spending much of your time in the shadows and darkness your eyes have become adjusted to seeing in the dark. This allows you to see normally in any amount of darkness as if it was day time. This only works in natural darkness and does not apply to magical darkness or spells. Silent Step - You have trained and honed your body to be as quiet as it can be. Your foot steps now make no noise when stepping, walking or moving across surfaces. Your foot steps are muffled and silent, allowing you to move without being heard. This does not work if you are running however and can still be heard when moving at quicker speeds. Surface Scaling - This technique makes you an expert climber or scaler, giving you the knowledge of how to climb and cling to surfaces. Almost like a spider you have gained the unnatural ability to hang onto walls or solid surfaces and climb up vertical surfaces that normal people could not. You have expert knowledge of hand holds and vertical movement, letting you reach higher places than normal. Cat's Grace - Your reflexes and basic body movement become extremely agile and nimble, allowing you to move around without the fear of falling or tripping over something. As long as you are moving you can not be knocked over or knocked off of something. If you do fall you will take no damage, landing safely on your feet as long as you have fallen less than two hundred feet. (falling off a mountain does not help you)
MAGE SLAYER Sworn Enemy: The mage slayer has devoted themselves to fighting off magic, regardless of their reason they have chosen to target those who would wield the arcane. If an enemy would cast a spell while you can see them, you can mark that person as your sworn enemy. For the next three post you will deal double damage with your physical and martial attacks against the marked enemy. You can not choose a new sworn enemy until the duration of the current one is over and can not have more than one at any time. If your sworn enemy cast a new spell during the duration, it will not extend the duration.
Spell Drinker: The slayer has spent their years fighting off magic that they have now learned how to absorb magical energy and use it as their own instead. If you would take damage from a spell, regardless of its type, you can instead choose to heal yourself with that spell, causing the spell to act as a minor healing spell instead of its normal type. This will not ignore effects of a spell, just simply the damage. This feature can only be used twice per topic.
Deflecting Slice: The slayer has learned the ins and outs of combatting spells, learning how to fight against spells that would be cast against them. You can now slice through a spell that has been cast towards you, ripping the spell in half. If an elemental spell has been cast and it has physical form, such as a fire ball, lightning bolt or wall of ice, you can cut through the spell with one of your martial weapons. This will negate the spell, rendering it useless. This can only be done twice per topic.

Bstrid sank into Blue Raspberry's exposed torso, carried on by the force of the kick and the ooze's first impulse to finish consuming whatever was shoved into them. As the replicant was fully pulled in, they suddenly realized in a panic what they'd just consumed and their eyes went wide. But, before they could even begin to spit her back out, they felt as if they were just... gone. Not as if they'd been dissolved, but like they'd just poofed out of existence. There was nothing to spit out. Even the ooze couldn't digest something that big that fast! What just happened!? Confused and angry, Blue Raspberry looked up at the one responsible for this.
"Hey! You made me eat my friend!" they shouted, pointing an accusatory clawed finger at the person standing on top of the crates. They then noticed this person had a fox costume and a crossbow. It clicked together in an uncharacteristically intelligent manner for the ooze-brained knight. This person was attacking them! (Duh.)
The figure just chuckled and aimed their crossbow for the wolfish freak in the onesie with confidence. Astonishingly, the bolt suddenly veered off course as a static hum filled the air. She was stunned for a moment, having expected this to be over in an instant. She raised their repeater crossbow again, readying the second and third shot, but Blue Raspberry began to charge forward before they could get their shots off.
Blue Raspberry's brows furrowed angrily and they charged forward, easily bounding up the side of the stack of heavy crates and up to their enemy. They swung with their claws, slashing at them wildly. She aimed her crossbow, but the ranged weapon wasn't suited for close combat. Blue Raspberry knocked it to the side with their fist and the second shot went wide, missing entirely.
She jumped back, off of the stack of crates, and landed on the floor quietly and gracefully. She aimed her crossbow up at Blue Raspberry and fired, but the shot was driven off course by the static hum once again. Blue Raspberry leapt down from the crates after her. She rolled out of the way as they landed atop where she had just been standing and ran off, trying to hide and gain a moment to reload her crossbow.

Things suddenly erupt into chaos just as Astrid separates from the once-injured man. The twang of a crossbow releasing, and a familiar triple release of bolts. Wait, that can't be... Astrid rushes around the crates only to see Blue Raspberry equipped with claws and a field of static deflecting the bolts shot at them, but she can't see the attacker. Without hesitating, Astrid flares out her wings and leaps into the air to get a view of the area. A person dressed in a fox costume dives off some crates and rolls across the floor, narrowly avoiding Blue Raspberry. The shadows of the cargo would make them more difficult to make out if Astrid couldn't see in the dark.
Needing to find some space from Blue Raspberry, the figure pulls a flask from their bolt and smashes it into the ground. A bright flash of blinding light explodes between the fox figure and Blue Raspberry. Astrid shields her eyes, blinking away the pain, unable to see because she didn't have her protective goggles on. The same can't be said of the intruder, who takes advantage of Blue Raspberry's blindness to hide amongst the shadows and reload. Peering around their hiding spot, they can see the winged girl in an owl costume hovering in the air. The figure pulls up their crossbow to take a shot at the easy target.
Melodia's voice rings out just as the magic binding her to the material starts to fade, "Astrid, be careful! They're hiding somewhere with a crossbow!"
Astrid? The figure's finger releases from the trigger temporarily, and beneath their mask, a sinister grin spreads across their face. Well, isn't that convenient? The little pain in the ass is here! And she doesn't seem to be wearing her irritating armor. What a perfect hunt this is turning out to be.
There's an ethereal pain thrumming in two scars on the young girl's side. Something isn't right about this! She can't see, and she doesn't know where they're shooting from, but something tells her to just move. Astrid bashes her hammer against her buckler so she can at least echolocate while her eyes blink away the blindness. Two living creatures in the nearest vicinity. One of them must be Blue and the other must be...
The loud clicking of the crossbow releasing rings out in the air. Focus, Astrid! Dodge away! Astrid magically dashes in a random direction, just praying she doesn't run into anything. Luckily, she goes straight left into open air and none of the bolts hit her. But... there aren't any sounds of bolts striking anything around her. What??
Perfect, just what we wanted. Beneath her mask, Ceena's lips curl up into a fanged grin as she marks Astrid as her Sworn Enemy when she casts her dashing spell. A valuable feint, she tinks. Though, she's not sure where the woman's voice came from, so she'll just have to be more careful. The strange man with the absorbing stomach doesn't seem to know where she is quite yet. Time to move. She silently dashes to another place to hide, reload, and prepare her weapon for a more dangerous attack from a hiding spot. Sure, the guards told her not to kill anyone, but if that flying brat really is the one from the pits, an exception will need to be made.
Popping the cork of an icy flask, Ceena dumps it over the bolts she reloads then peeks around the corner of her hiding place and takes aim.

Blue Raspberry was about to chase after the woman when an intensely bright light suddenly flashed from her. The ooze dropped to their knees and held their arms across their front, doubling over into a ball on the ground in pain. Their whole face and the front of their torso burned, their vision filled with bursting white dots. The ooze lacked actual eye, their sight simply coming from their front in a cone. The eye they had were just decoration that let them appear humanoid. They stayed there, on the ground, just waiting for their vision to return once the damaged sight organelles were regenerated.
In the mean time, they needed to protect themself. The static field that had faded after deflecting the second bolt reappeared, the slight hum filling the air around them. They thought their new trick would be enough to fight this person, their wolf claws that they were proud of being able to shift their hands and feet into while still in their humanoid form, but apparently she was a lot tougher than they'd assumed. They needed to take this more seriously.
Sparks of electricity began to arc across Blue Raspberry's body, between their clawed fingers and toes. They reached back and undid the flap on their behind again, letting their gooey tail grow out again. A pair of long, thin tendrils of ooze grew from their shoulders. Their second pair of arms grew from the sides of their torso, pulling the opening of their onesie wider to emerge. They couldn't see, but as soon as they could, they'd be ready for this fight!
"You want to fight!? Fight me! I can handle you! I don't even need to see you to beat your butt, you big jerk!" Blue Raspberry called out to the hooded woman blindly, challenging and insulting her as they got back up onto their feet.

With her finger on the trigger, itching to pull it right at the mark that's defenseless and in her sights, the other annoyance catches her attention. Behind her goggles, Ceena's eyes dart in the direction of the muscular man with... strange blue tentacles. No, don't get distracted! She tries her hardest to focus on Astrid, but a familiar feeling pulls her attention. She can't take it off the blue-haired man. Fine, if that's what he wants, she'll unload on him. In a fit of frustration, Ceena turns her crossbow on Blue Raspberry and unloads a hail of three Frostfire-laced bolts at them.
Astrid's eyes finally clear from the blindness just in time to see the figure cloaked in shadow fire off at Blue Raspberry. "No! Blue!" she shrieks. None of the bolts find their purchase, but even still, Astrid is angry. Her hammer thrums in her hand with electrical energy that spreads across her body. Whoever that is will pay for this attack on them! Her body wants to move, but that flash before could happen again. She has to be smart. Never without her goggles, Astrid pulls them down over her eyes from where they sit upon her head beneath the owl hood of her onesie.
Now she's ready to go. Letting out a feral warcry, Astrid dives down at the figure in the shadows. In the middle of reloading, Ceena glances up and narrowly dodges her, stepping back just in time to avoid Astrid's attempt to tackle her. The speed of Astrid's dive causes her hood to fly off her head and reveal the two small red horns poking out from her blond hair. As Astrid loops around, the savage grin on Ceena's face shows itself in her eyes.
"I knew that was you, pissant. Brat." There's venom in Ceena's words, and if her face weren't covered by a mask, the insults would be accompanied by spit.
Skidding across the ground, Astrid recovers and looks up to see the familiar goggles and masked face of the ex-champion of the pits in Gazablaak. What is she doing here? She has that guy's fox costume! There's not enough time to process this, but the bolt scars on Astrid's stomach buzz separately of the electricity wreathing her body.
Seeing the confusion and mild panic on Astrid's face, Ceena grins and tries to turn her crossbow on her. The drive to absolutely destroy the blue-haired bastard on the edge of her vision overcomes her want to kill the child in front of her. Ceena lets out a frustrated yell and releases another spray of bolts at Blue Raspberry.
"No!" Astrid shouts. Before she's even thought about it, her left arm flings the buckler past Ceena and manages to catch one of the three extract-covered bolts. The bolt clatters to the ground, and the buckler bounces off the floor and a crate before returning to Astrid's arm. Just as Ceena looks over at her, Astrid comes barreling across the floor, throwing her small but strong body like a projectile with a combination of her wings and a charge of pure strength. She slams her arm buckler-first into Ceena.
There's a loud snap and crackling in the air as lightning arcs off the girl and strikes the bounty hunter, sending the armored woman flying across the warehouse and crashing into crates and shattering them in an explosion of electrified splinters.
Astrid recovers from her charge and looks toward Blue in a panic. "Blue! Blue, are ya alright?!"

The first barrage of bolts was harmlessly deflected, two by the static buzzing in the air around Blue Raspberry, and the last one by a flick of one of the two tentacles growing from their shoulder. Even with the ooze blinded by the flash, the tentacle reacted, seemingly with a mind of its own.
Finally, vision began to return to Blue as they heard Astrid call out to them. They looked up just in time to see Astrid dive at the person still hidden in the shadows. Blue could see her now, a lady in a fox costume just like the guy's whose costume got stolen. It's a wild coincidence that they had the exact same costume, but that's not important now. Blue Raspberry charged forward, their claws ready to slash at them again, but they suddenly raised their crossbow and fired three more shots!
They didn't have their static field again yet, but Astrid helped them out, deflecting one of the shots with her shield, and another one was flicked out of the air by the second tentacle on the ooze's shoulder, but one managed to graze Blue in the arm as they tried to dodge to the side. A light wound, no problem! That was what they thought, but suddenly the arm that got hit started to burn, and simultaneously feel horribly cold. Blue Raspberry pulled up the sleeve of their onesie and looked at the wound, and saw the synthetic skin around the scratch turning blue and solidifying, freezing from the sudden cold as the frostfire extract seeped into their wound.
Blue looked panicked. They'd been to Frostgale and experienced freezing cold before, and never wanted to feel it again, but now here it was! They didn't know what to do until they looked up at Astrid calling out to them again and remembered something.
"I'm fine! I just need a minute!" they called and rushed to hide behind a crate so that this crazy lady couldn't fire any more bolts at them for a moment. Hopefully Astrid could by them a little bit of time. They reached a hand down to their stomach and extracted a pair of gauntlets that were smaller than their usual pair, Astrid's magical gauntlets. How did these work again? Oh, right! They put the gauntlets on and punched them together just like they'd seen Astrid do, and they caught fire. They sighed in relief as the fire warmed their freezing arm up and returned to its semiliquid state.
They tried to create a new field of static around them to protect from more of the projectiles, but they felt something strange. They couldn't get any of the electrical energy inside them to do what they wanted. Fine, they'd just have to go without it. They stepped back into the open and charged toward the woman that was now rising from the remains of a stack of smashed crates. They swung their now flaming, electrified, acid dripping claws at the foxy lady recklessly, trying to smack the annoying crossbow out of her hands, but taking any hit on her they could get.

"Okay, good ta hear that!" Astrid calls back, gripping her hammer and lowering her position. Her eyes stay trained on the broken debris where the electrified Ceena disappeared into the shadows. Astrid's wings stay open, ready to fling her into the air to get away from Ceena. Behind her own goggles, Astrid's eyes glimmer with golden specks, piercing into the dark and watching Ceena. The moment she stands, she'll down her with her hammer again.
"Come on, lady," Astrid calls cautiously. "Ya can give up, and we'll leave. Don't hafta be like this."
Obscured by the darkness, Ceena drags herself to a sitting-up position. There's a crack in one of her goggles' lenses, somewhat obscuring her vision as she glares at the girl in the stupid owl onesie. This shouldn't be that difficult. The girl doesn't even have armor on, and she's still a pain! Ceena knows that the minute she stands up and into the light, the little brat will make a move. The kid's eyes are trained on her still somehow, or at least it seems like she's staring at her.
The bigger problem is that strange friend of hers. Their ability to deflect her ranged attacks makes them hard to handle. If she's lucky, at least one of the poisoned bolts made purchase. It's impossible to tell from inside this crate. Both he and the girl seem statically charged. Under the cover of shadow, Ceena pops a cork off a flask, pulls down her mask, and drinks the bright yellow contents quickly. The thick liquid slides down her throat with a small crackling feeling. That makes one problem handled.
The next problem is that the effects of her Sworn Enemy will wear off soon. She could recapture the girl with it immediately, but if the man is the bigger problem, perhaps she'll switch her efforts over. Besides, the girl watching a friend die a painful death would at least be entertaining and worth the trouble this has proved to be. First, she should at least take advantage of what she has and make the girl suffer. There's just the matter of something keeping her from attacking the girl in front of her. As much as she wants to, something stops her. It must be the taunt from her tentacley, electrical friend... Ceena remembers the girl can do something like that. Maybe she can make her train her focus again.
Moving slowly to avoid drawing too much of Astrid's suspicion, Ceena reloads the crossbow and dumps another poison across the end of it and the loaded bolts. "You won't sweet talk yourself out of this rematch, girl," Ceena's raspy voice calls back. "You barely survived our last fight."
"But I survived," Astrid says, a taunting tune in her tone. But she knows better than to be too confident here. It'll make her sloppy. Her buckler sits ready on her arm.
"You don't have your friend with all the healing abilities," Ceena taunts. "Ready to watch me kill this new friend of yours?"
Something inside Astrid stirs. Ceena's right. As far as she knows, Blue Raspberry can't heal anyone, and Astrid gave her only healing potion to the man Ceena stole the costume from. Astrid's hand grips her hammer tighter. The magical connection she has with her hammer can heal her. She can't let Blue Raspberry get shot by Ceena again. She's not going to lose her best friend. The half-dwarf glares at Ceena in the darkness.
"You are not gonna hurt them," she says, a dark expression falling on her face. "I'm the one ya've got a problem with."
Ceena's eyes lock on the girl and struggle to look away as Astrid marks her. Whatever focus Ceena had on the man suddenly fades. Beneath her mask, there's a gleeful grin. This is exactly what she wanted.
Her arm suddenly moves in the darkness, and there's a light plinking along the ground. Astrid looks down and sees a familiar sight: an explosive. Without hesitating, she dashes into the air with a powerful pump of her wings. The ornament below her explodes, a wave of hot energy throwing her off course. Then three bolts come whizzing out of the darkness at her from Ceena's position. She manages to deflect one with her shield, but the other two strike her - one in the leg, the other in the shoulder.
The girl shrieks in pain. Not only do the bolts sink in particularly deep, but something on them makes it feel like acid is eating away at her where they hit her. Unable to keep herself aloft from the pain and reaching the end of the time she can keep her wings out, Astrid plummets the short distance to the ground and lands roughly on her side. The rough landing is nothing compared to the bolts in her body. This is way worse than the sleep poison.
Ceena watches the girl fall with glee, but by the time Ceena's stood up, Blue Raspberry's charging at her position with some particularly nasty claws and now fiery gauntlets. Great, instead of lightning, now there's fire and acid. The bounty hunter tries to dodge away from the ooze man. If she could get her dagger out, she might stand a better chance!

Blue Raspberry watched Astrid fall to the ground, a bolt in her shoulder and one in her leg and viciously attacked, their claws slashing at Ceena angrily. They wanted to check and see if she was alright, but they couldn't look away from Ceena or she would just get a chance to reload her crossbow and shoot even more bolts at the both of them. They didn't know how Ceena broke out of their challenging mark, but there was no time to try and figure that out either.
"Astrid!" They called out while taking a swing at Ceena's arm that she dodged by stepping to the side. "Are you alright!?" Ceena blocked a claw swipe with a gauntleted arm. The claws dug into the metal, leaving gashes in it that sizzled with acid and scorch marks. She looked surprised, The claws looked sharp, and the gauntlets were obviously on fire, but the acid was unexpected. She was just lucky she had drunk her lightning resistance potion, or the sparks arcing off the enraged ooze would have been devastating. With the unrelenting flurry of dangerous claws, she had no time to load her crossbow or pull out her dagger.
She raised a leg to kick Blue in the stomach to try and push them away to gain some breathing room. Her foot struck directly into their stomach, and she smiled, feeling like she had gained the upper hand, but her smile immediately changed to a wide-eyed look of horror as her leg sank right into the ooze's stomach, just as the Astrid replicant had. In the rush of combat, she'd forgotten all about that. A horrible mistake.
She let out a scream of pain as she felt her leg burn, the ooze starting to dissolve her skin and digest her flesh. She tried to pull her leg out, but it only sank in further, slowly being pulled in by the gluttonous ooze. Blue Raspberry looked down at the leg protruding from their stomach, just as surprised as Ceena. They were tempted for a moment to fully consume this person. She had attacked them and Astrid, and might have deserved it, but they weren't supposed to eat living people without permission. They looked back at Astrid who was still on the ground. No, they couldn't ask her right now. They went to try and pull the leg out, but a sharp hook suddenly pierced into the side of their neck.
In the short moment Blue Raspberry had looked away, Ceena had pulled out the first weapon she could, her hook hand, and swung it straight for a vital spot. Well, a vital spot on a normal person. While the ooze was stunned in surprise by the hook sinking into them, Ceena braced her hands against Blue's shoulders and pushed. What remained of her leg was extracted with a wet shlorping sound and she fell backward onto the ground. Her entire foot was gone, as was a majority of the flesh nearly up to her knee. A bit of the bone stuck out, but most of that had been dissolved as well. Below the knee, her leg had been reduced to a bloody stump.

When Ceena frees herself of Blue Raspberry, the expression behind her mask and goggles looks absolutely perplexed. Whatever this man -or rather, this thing- is, they're not human. The pain of her flesh melting away and sloughing off the bones of her lower leg would be greater if the acid didn't completely erase her nerves. Still, the exposed flesh at the knee sends twinges up her leg. Last time she felt this kind of pain was when Astrid and Vikram defeated her in the arena. Fighting the shock wracking her body, Ceena pushes herself away from the man seeping blue ooze from his neck wound and pops a cork on a flask. The liquid covers her leg and bloody stump, sending relief through her body.
"What the hells are you?" she asks through a grimace. This simple job turned into something much more than she expected. If they run, she won't be able to chase them. She curses herself. Even if she can't kill this man-shaped creature in front of her, she can kill the girl! Her eyes glance over and see Astrid struggling to sit up through the pain. She turns her crossbow toward her and releases the trigger, but in all the commotion with Blue Raspberry, she didn't get a chance to load it. Shit!
Breathing heavily, Astrid curls up on her side. Each time she touches the bolts, they send pain streaking through her body. She's sweating and struggling to catch her breath, but she knows she has to get the bolts out or it will be worse. It hurts too much to do it herself, so she manifests a bit of magic and summons a replicant who is equally as injured. But the replicant knows what she wants to do, and despite the pain, Twostrid rolls her on her back and grabs the bolts and with a jerk, frees them of Astrid's flesh. Then Astrid reaches over and takes her hammer. The weapon thrums in her grip, then electricity arcs out and down her body. The wounds in her shoulder and leg glow with blue light and magically stitch themselves together.
Astrid lies on her back, breathing heavily, and Bstrid collapses beside her. It's a strange thing to see herself in so much pain while also feeling that pain. But they have to get out of here. Astrid dismisses the replicant and pushes herself to her feet as quickly as she can. "B-Blue? We gotta... We gotta get outta here..!" she calls, looking over at the ooze looming over Ceena with blue seeping from their neck. Oh gods. Are they hurt?! "B-Blue?" Astrid calls again, fear creeping into her voice as she shuffles closer.
A door across the warehouse bursts open, and a chorus of boots echoes around them. The guards are here. They definitely have to go!
"Over here!" Ceena shouts. How the hell is the child standing again!? She has something in her hand that's sizzling. An explosive! And she looks like she's going to shove it right inside of Blue Raspberry!
