Left and right, left and right. Turning his head out of awe, enjoying the feeling which he distinctly feels emanating from the port. Seems pretty interesting. A bit of a different climate from my usual, heh 'usual'. Silently chuckling, the tiefling moves through the streets. Intrigued by the bright illumination cast upon most of the port, and surprised by the amount of pedestrians in the city he understands a bit more of the difference from this place to other locales where the tiefling has traveled to before. Quitely observing people carrying boxes full of different items, presumably weapons or souvenair type items. Those same people moving in and out of warehouses or other such buildings. Inhaling the salty smell of the sea, he quietly taps his finger out of nowhere. For a while this continues on until he finally realizes what he's done, looking downwards at his fingers. Hmm? Am I perhaps a bit anxious? Well, I know the time of the Red Rogue is nigh. Yet, this year feels different to me for a peculiar reason.
Growing up as a young boy, he had celebrated this holiday with the rest of those that resided with him. Feeling a twinge of desolate loneliness, he faintly reminisces of memories from long ago. I miss them. Just a bit. Fixing his posture upright, keeping his body full of confidence he starts to continue down the path. With the same rhythm, left and right, left and right.

There was time today to do a bit of scouting for talent, after having done a lot of prep work here at the port over the last few days. Socket strolled through the crowd, their simple traveling cloak draped across their shoulders. Along the pier, throngs of folks moved about, and stalls from many of the traders and their brokers could be found. It was a fine spot to find new faces, or to blend into a crowd in anonymity.
Striding confidently along, with all the markings of a starry eyed tourist, was a face Socket hadn't seen over the past days. They did their best to observe and blend in for a bit, seeing if the gentleman was drawn to any particular thing or just enjoying the sights and festivities. As the young man strolled through the streets, the construct figured it would be worth trying to recruit them.
They stepped out of their shaded spot, slipping through the crowd as they moved towards the man. He held himself in confidence, swaying a bit as he looked around the market. Socket noted this observance, something they often embodied when on tracking beasts through the wilds of the Marsh Flats. Cities were their own type of wilds, stone and wood bent to the will of a working team and cobbled together to create lived in forests of people and goods in stark contrast to the natural world.
A few moments later, they stepped up beside the taller figure, tapped gently on his shoulder to get his attention, and stated "Excuse me young man, would you happen to be interested in joining the festivity of the season? An... up close and personal seat on a dashing adventure, it is sure to be a riot of a good time."

Keeping up his observance, checking both sides of the path. Viewing many different buildings, people, as well as items all round the area. Enjoying the ambiance of the port, the Tiefling continues striding down the port with his body held upright as if unhindered by any sort of social or mental restrictions. Deftly moving past civilians as to not bump into or hurt any, he advances forward. It looks like I may have a stalker from among those behind in the crowd. Seconds later, a new arrival taps his shoulders. Over his shoulder he spots what looks to be a Tabaxi or a Shifter, though unsure of what they want from his attention.
"Hello there, little one. An adventure filled with enjoyable moments, you say?" Quite an interesting proposition from a complete stranger. Though, stranger events have ocurred before. The tone from their speech indicates more of a riot in the opposite side regular civilians stay at. But, this came in the nick of time. Crossing his arms, facing right at the stranger with eyes staring right into the others'. "Sounds as though this adventure is one not to be missed. Regardless, I will not tell you much about me until i am able to trust you." If that is possible in any capacity. "I'm sure we can agree on this." Walking forward a few steps, only enough to slightly pass the little one. Opening one of his arms in a grand manner, "shall we?"

Nodding to his reply, Socket glided through the busy causeway of the docks. Careful to keep visible to their new companion, they walked a winding path to a small inn nestled between other warehouses and businesses. With a polite wave to the Innkeeper, the construct waved the man up to the room they'd rented for the eve.
"I know I've been quiet on this journey thus far, but I can appreciate your mistrust of the situation and a new face in general." They started, setting out a pitcher of water and a glass on one side of the small table, then taking the other seat. "In case you're thirsty, please enjoy the beverage. There's much to discuss, and only so much time in a day." The voice they projected held a synthesized quality to it, and seemed to come not from their 'mouth' but nearer their 'ears'. The transceivers installed in their helm were near the highest parts, but could be a bit unsettling at first to biologics, whom vocalized sound with a complex system of muscles and breath.
"As a brightly vermillion skinned young man, I'm sure you've had all manner of attention around this holiday, everyone is abuzz about the so called Red Rogue. How would you, good ser, like to engage in a bit of spirited redistribution of goods and wealth, in accordance with the wonderous tradition of the season?" They continued on, 'ears' swaying about as they spoke, keeping tabs on their surroundings. Socket had spent a good amount of time and effort putting together the intel for this festive filching, and having someone to share that experience with would make it all fall into place.

"I'll take you up on your offer for a beverage. Actually, I feel quite parched from all the excitement this holiday has brought me." Reaching for the glass with his left and the pitcher with his right. Slightly pouring the pitcher at a very small angle downwards to allow the water flow to be somewhat slow, so as to not splash any of the liquid around the table. Stopping one inch below the rim of the glass, he sets the pitcher down first with the glass traveling towards the Tieflings mouth. One gulp, two gulp, he continues until he drains the whole glass. Setting down the glass back down onto the table, lightly enough to not create any noise. "Firstly, sorry about the wait. Secondly, I find it quite intriguing that your voice comes from a different part of your body. Lastly, let's get down to business."
"To be quite frank with you, it is quite the annoyance that everytime someone looks at me. Since I can feel that their gazes are on me only due to the holiday as well as the appearance of my vermillion skin." The Tiefling gazes right at his company's face, attempting to figure out if there is any emotion in it. Suddenly, his cheeks start to expand as if he is bound to laugh at any moment. Quietly laughing a small amount, "I am not quite a good enough man to be called 'good ser', but I am indubitably intrigued with your proposal." Tapping the table with his right hands' index finger to a smooth rhythm. Stretching out his right hand towards them "Glad to work with you, partner." If anything goes awry, I'll abandon this as fast as I can. Though I hope this will be fun.

Taking his hand, Socket shook it and nodded their approval. Walking over to a small box, they laid it's contents out across the table. A detailed map of the dock area and it's various buildings spread out, with several colored routes traced across it. In addition, they used several small wooden dowels to represent themselves, the security forces, and other elements they were aware of to be in play for this plan.
"As you can see, I've been putting this plan together in advance and gathered our intel as best as I could. This is us." They noted a pair of pieces on the map dipped in red. "The security forces will be green, our goal is the yellow, and blue represent the dock patrol forces." They continued, moving the pieces into place on the table. As they did, the routes drawn were each given a piece of their own. "Merchants and security have increased the usual patrols in advance of the coming festivities, but they have left a critical weakness in their deployment. They're assuming that someone would attempt to go through the common entrances, doors and windows mostly at street level. Our plan is to exploit this by approaching from above and below."
Pulling out a set of wooden blocks from the bottom of the box, Socket set them up to represent the topography of the surrounding buildings. "Here, there's two buildings with little to no security, and the drainage system below the district will be left unguarded. There are only so many guards, they can't be everywhere at once, and that will be our way in and out without setting off the alarm. Your part in this dance, so to speak, will be to take a cart I've procured to the access tunnel below the warehouse, load the goods I lower down to you, then we'll both egress through said tunnels and out of town via a different route. I'll be using one of these buildings to bypass the security and drop in from above. Quick, quiet and without a need to harm others... those are our goals for this portion." They gave the plan a critical look once again, as they had been for days. It was as sound and swift as possible to plan without intimate knowledge of the security forces' plans.
"If you're okay with this, we'll go about this plan tomorrow night and do our best to make it coincide with the shift change. We'll head out in the morning, pick up the cart and I'll show you where we're going to stash our pilfered gifts afterwards. It will be fantastic to have a partner in this, by myself, I'd barely be able to grab a few goods... but together, we'll bring joy to many, and give a bit of mythical reality to the less fortunate." Socket stated, trying to mimic the inflection of confidence and surety from other leaders they'd encountered along the way.

A quick and quiet good ol' fashioned robbery eh? I like it. A bit different from my usual, but it is intriguing. Mulling over the feasibility of this plan, the Tiefling crosses his arms and starts tapping his fingers. Not much emotion can be seen within that crimson face of his. "Sounds like a good plan. Though speed isn't exactly my forte, doing a plan such as this will help hone my skils better". His voice sounds out with a feeling that he will be prepared for the happenings of the next day. Well to be honest such an intricate plan is welcome, as I would be smashing down the front door. Moving his gaze from one part of the table to the next, he commits to memory where these so called 'pieces' will be.
Honestly awed with the amount of information as well as the planning of this festive dealing, approval could be seen through his eyes. A small smile tugs at his lips, a piece of him attempts to suppress it. Yet, it remains upon his face. A detail that can be seen if one were to inspect him for a few moments. "I shall start my preparations for our activity. Let us meet up in the morning. Then, I give my thanks to such a grand festivity on this wondrous holiday". Grazing around the building, he searches for furniture to rest his body. Creating quiet noise around the building, not exactly attempting to hid it. Finding a small seat backed against the wall, dust covered the whole of the seat. Gently wiping the top of the seat, dust falling from the seat and some attaching itself to his clothes. Resting his buttocks completely on the seat and his back utilizing the wall as support, he regulates his breathing. Ensuring his mind and body are attuned to their optimal state.

After the meeting, they set about preparing the last details for tomorrow's heist. The biggest challenge the construct thought might come up would be getting discovered either before or after the job was done. Finally satisfied with all they'd been doing, they took a short rest in the wilderness near the hideout. So far, no one had discovered this hideaway and hopefully that would hold true long after tomorrow night... at least long enough for the pair to not be anywhere nearby.
Twilight marched on, giving way to morning once again. Socket stood on the thick branch of an old tree, carefully going through the process of getting their joints and other kinetic parts ready for a day of hijinks and lofty goals. Once complete, they tossed on their typical traveling cloak, grey and muted and good for blending into trees and crowds alike. A hop and a jump across town, Socket greeted the innkeeper of the hotel where they'd had a meeting. Zeras had seemed to be thrilled by the amount of work they'd done ahead of time, and hopefully had gotten plenty of rest. Taking the stairs quickly, their footfalls sounded almost child-like, quieter than most constructs could, thanks to their stealthy build and training.
Three taps at the door, Socket knocked, and waited patiently for an answer.

Awoken by the slightest of light peeking through from the morning dawn, stretching lightly to loosen muscles or to rid himself of rigidity. Today will be fun. Rotating his head both left and right, up and down. Allowing himself his usual morning ritual. Grazing around the room, sounds emitted ever so slightly. A person trained in the ways of stealth will habitually regulate the noise their footfalls make, the Tiefling especially made use of this habit to further his skills.Going through his routine, footsteps could be heard from outside the room. Quiet, just like a child with not much weight to carry around.
Not surprised by the knocking of the door. I realized this the other day, but this construct really does have great mannerisms. Knowing who this arrival is, he opens the door slightly to check if his guess is correct. Never could be too careful here or anywhere to be exact. "Welcome there, partner. A little early in the morning, isn't it?" Sizing up the construct again, he couldn't truly tell the difference between them and a Tabaxi. Guess I am still a bit too green.
"It is time to grab the cart, yes? Lead the way and I shall follow". Opening the door wide enough for the Tiefling to escape from the room. Standing next to them and giving a slight nod as a gesture for the day to begin.

Socket did just that, greeting Zeras before they made the trek. "Good morning to you as well, it is indeed early, but that means we'll have some down time between mid-day and the evening." The pair made their way through town, taking a gate that saw less traffic than usual. Along the way, Socket went over the details of the plan once again, as well as handing Zeras a lantern, some fuel for it, and a small piece of paper with a set of directions written on it.
"See the big drainage outlet along the wall, the one that looks barely like a support from the road?" They asked politely, knowing that remembering the spot and it's terrain would be important. The pair stood atop a nearby hill, brush giving them some measure of cover to observe. Behind them, a small shack would serve as their hideout afterwards, it's storm cellar being a particularly good place to keep pilfered goods out of sight.
"Using the instructions I gave you, you should be able to get to the warehouse we're after fairly easily. While the cart is not one to move enormous loads, the goods we're grabbing should fit nicely. Fair warning, going too fast through the tunnels will create lots of noise, so patience is key. Times, the route, and all you need should be there. Afterwards, we'll both haul the cart out of the tunnel and to the hideout where we'll stash stuff away." Socket gestured to the building, which on the outside looked to be ramshackle and barely standing to ward away curious eyes with the illusion of abandonment. It was nearly mid day as they wrapped up the discussion and Socket had given Zeras a brief tour of the hideout.

"Leave this to me. I'll get this done as easy as downing a cup of ale." Taking a second to realize that he doesn't know if the other drinks alcoholic beverages. Quickly glancing over at the contstruct, hoping that the atmosphere didn't become awkward. Resuming his confident expression with his right hand patting his chest to assure that everything will be completed. Taking in the view of the side of the warehouse , a few guards taking up post.
As the day gradually came to evening, the Tiefling had been going through the plan over in his mind as to not forget the actions to take during the operation. Coming out of his reverie, taking in the setting sun with his eyes. It's about time. Guards around the drainage system start to methodically march away to a different part of the warehouse. Waiting until the system is completely devoid of any people. Walking over to get a grasp of the cart. "Let's commence the operation then." Offering a smile to the construct, starting to wheel the cart over towards the drainage system.
Approaching their entry point, slowing the cart down just enough to keep the movement noise to a minimum. Slowly moving through the tunnel, darkness starts to become more apparent. Grasping the lantern, applying the fuel for the mechanism to properly work. A few moments pass before the lantern becomes bright, illuminating the environment. Now there's light, yet adjusted enough to the point he can see his surrounding, but cannot see more than a couple meters ahead. Going through the tunnel for a while, starting to have a creepy feeling around him.
Quite a bit of time has passed or so it seems to the Tiefling, well it is a tad difficult to keep track when everything is dark. A medium sized hole appears on the ceiling of the tunnel. Seems I've made it then. Now it is all up to them. Hope everything goes to plan. Holding onto the cart, keeping the lantern sitting at the bottom of the cart. He waits for his partner, keeping his eye on the hole above.

"I'll meet you on the other side Zeras." Socket stated as they set off. They moved to a spot inside the town full of warehouses that rarely were visited, then scaled the side of one of the buildings and moved from rooftop to rooftop will all the stealth and grace of a hunting leopard. It took a few minutes to reach the roof of the building they had scouted over the last several days, and had gone unnoticed by the watch, slipping between the patrols and treading silently.
On the roof, there was a vent that led down into the building just wide enough for Socket's smaller frame to crawl down. The construct slid themselves inside quietly, crawling down the dark and dusty vent without so much as a whisper. They popped out headfirst, several feet above the floor and looked around quickly for any guards. No one was in sight, nor did they hear any footfalls inside.
Dropping to the floor, they moved quickly through the building in search of the access tunnel and the good they were here for. Several tense minutes of moving crates from shelves and stacks followed, and every sound they heard caused them stop and listen for a reaction from the guards. As they finished gathering everything together, they peaked down the tunnel to see Zeras waiting with the cart on schedule.
"Let's get these gifts loaded and out of here quickly, partner." Socket whispered quietly down, then began lowering the crates carefully. Each one was laden with goods, and caused the automaton's joints strain as they extended themselves down.

Carefully catching the crates, ensuring no noise comes from their actions. Keeping his head swiveling around, hoping there to be no disruptions to their immaculate plan. Placing the crates into the cart slowly, in a method to maximize the space within so there would be more civilians to give assistance to in this holiday season. Crates after crates continue down the hole, some small while others were quite large. Excited at the what items could potentially be in these crates, hoping many would become more cheerful when they receive such gifts.
One after another slowly lowers down into the tunnel, slowly filling the capacity of their cart. While it originally was quite enormous, with all the crates packed inside it appeared to be a small cart. It could be mistaken as a cart wheeling around groceries, if none were to question the crates inside. Lowering his voice to whispers, “the cart is fully loaded. I suppose it is time to make our great escape”. Looking towards the construct, motioning with his arm towards their escape route. Pushing the heavy cart forward, not too fast or slow. A sweet spot, to say the least. Quietly, moving the collected crates out where only a few squeaks escape from the wheels.

Socket nodded their agreement, then deftly scaled down into the tunnel. Using Silent Step and Surface Scaling, the construct moved ahead of the cart and scouted down the tunnel ahead of Zeras. Every few minutes, they would wait for the young man and the cart to catch up, then zip ahead again with an ease that denoted the amount of practice and familiarity the automaton had with such stealthy matters.
Reaching the end of the tunnel a short time later, Socket peered out into the gloom of the night and looked around for patrols. There were distant torches, but the timing looked good enough to make their egress to the hideout, so Socket waved the okay back to Zeras. They made way under the cover of night, the construct lending their strength to moving the cart quickly. The dark, dilapidated shape of the hut that was their hideout came into view a short time later.
"We'll get the cart unloaded, packed away so we can distribute these gifts among the families in a couple of nights. I'll be staying to keep watch, and you're welcome to join or wait in town if you'd like. I'm not sure what the provisions situation is here sadly, but morning will be around soon enough and one of us could grab something either from the woods themselves or town." They stated, opening the cellar doors and taking boxes inside to the shelves. The automaton made quick work along side Zeras of unloading and organizing the goods. Finally, they moved the cart inside the shack to be stored until it was returned.
"You've been an excellent help, partner, and I'll be looking forward to the joyous experience on the children's faces in a couple of days when we 'Red Rogues' show up."

“You can’t keep all the fun to yourself. I’ll be joining you for watch, four hands are better than two most of the time.” Walking over to the cart filled with goodies. Taking in the sight of a great variety of items, most were objects which he has never beheld in his entire life. A small sense of jealousy arises within his heart, yet the contentment as well as the pride of gifting such objects to those less fortunate such as he were filling his heart. A warmth caresses his heart and heals his soul a bit. With how much darkness there is in the world, a bit of light for the children will do something right for this cruel reality. At least let them dream of a better life for a small while. Slowly pulling them out of the cart, one by one, carefully as to not nick any of these ‘presents’. A while later and small mountain piles up on the floor. Rolling the cart inside of the shack.
“It’s been great working with you, partner. I’m am in agreement with you. The faces of those children will be an amazing sight for sore eyes. I’m looking forward to the next job we work together. Even if you don’t come looking for me, I’ll be searching for you.” Walking towards the hideout, slowly. Giving off the impression, they did not have an eventful day at all. Though a smile comes onto the face of the tiefling as he turns to his partner, “truly fantastic job today”. Arriving at the hideout, moving into different parts to keep the entire structure under their surveillance. Finding a small post on his side, moving forwards and sighting a small can of crackers. Is this old? Though, I guess it is better than nothing. Peeling open the lid, grasping the top cracker and taking a whiff. Yeah, this thing is old. After a minute of serious contemplation, tossing the cracker into his mouth followed by noises of someone chewing.
