Morrigan was very enthusiastic about Marik agreeing to their terms and accepting this job, while Marik was looking forward to a decent steady income for a while. Though she had no doubt she would defiantly work for it. Morrigan once again boasted about their magical abilities, and Marik learned a long time ago never underestimate one's abilities... that didn't stop her from questioning it... silently.
Marik stood right outside Morrigan door as they freshened up, peeking out they were significantly more sparkly now. Clearly ready for a night out, which Morrigan confirmed. One of her least favorite activities.... socializing, though Marik was pretty sure Morrigan quite enjoyed it. They offered for her to freshen up before they, but Marik politely declined. "Whenever you are ready, lead the way" She said moving to the side.
Morrigan finished up in their room and they headed out of the inn towards the center of town. As Marik mentally prepared for any and all possibilities of how tonight could go wrong.

The truth was that a lot of things could go wrong, really. With Morrigan’s propensity to throw themselves into anything without consideration for their own safety or that of others, and their ability to bring out the worst in even the most unflappable of men with merely a few infuriating words, Marik would most certainly have her work cut out for her. It was a good thing that Morrigan Moonweaver compensated handsomely. It was unfortunate that that safety net, however, made them even more reckless.
Once Marik declined Morrigan’s offer to freshen up, they merely shrugged before popping back into their room for a few minutes. Once they reappeared, they were adorned in the most elaborate and obnoxious set of party wear that Marik had likely ever seen in their life. It was more like a walking disco ball and a target on their back than a gorgeous set of party attire… and it was all accompanied by a strapping pair of stiletto heels.
Morrigan shut the door behind them, beckoning Marik to follow. “Come along! We shall have fun tonight on the town!” Morrigan’s own definition of fun was likely vastly different from Marik’s own, but they would already have flitted away before they could hear any reluctant grumbling.
They picked a bar different than the one they’d taken Marik to earlier, one considerably more lively than before. There was at least music and dancing… if not a considerable amount of crime taking place in darkened corners, shady drug dealings and business ventures too sensitive to be carried out in broad daylight. Morrigan was oblivious to all of this. Instead, they took to the night life with merriment and excitement, nursing a wineglass in their hand that they’d brought themselves and filled with cheap ale.
Their eyes sparkled with amusement when they turned to their bodyguard. “Would you care to dance with me, lady Marik? Loosen up and unwind a little!”

The place Morrigan wanted to go to was a different bar then earlier. It was considerably busier, and a lot more people. The music float thru the air, some were dancing, others hoping to find a companion for the night, while others looking rather shady in the back. Morrigan even among all of this stood out brightly, she guessed hoping to be the center of the party.
They both grabbed something from the bartender, Marik sipped slowly on hers making sure to stay alert. Morrigan offered Marik to dance. She raised an eyebrow at them, "Do I honestly strike you as the dancing type? Besides I need to stay alert make sure no one tries anything stupid." She scanned the area they were in making sure no one stood out as being particularly shady. Everything seemed fine for the moment, "Everything seems fine at the moment, while you dance ill be right there. Close in case you need me but not hovering" She said pointing to a table that was empty and close by.
It was somewhere she could keep an eye on most of the people in here, and her not have to be in the middle of the crowd.

Morrigan did not look put off in the slightest by lady Marik’s reticence. “Have you ever even tried dancing before, my lady?” they inquired. Marik was the serious type, that much was obvious when looking upon her face. But how much of that had deprived her of the pleasures of life? How much had this self-imposed lifestyle ingrained such rigidity into her? She was the complete opposite of Morrigan - where they were all play and no work, she was all work and no play.
Perhaps there was something to be said about learning to be more responsible, but those were not lessons that Morrigan would learn from Marik. A lifetime of following their joys had made them entitled enough to do what they felt like, when they felt like it. So rarely was that what they ought to be doing. But on the other hand, in a room full of dancing and joy and merriment, Marik had chosen to sit alone.
Rather than continue their dance, Morrigan followed her to the table. When she sat, they leaned themselves across the wood, a smirk on their face and a glint in their eyes. “When was the last time you allowed yourself to have fun, do you remember? Surely, the world will not fall into disarray if you allow yourself one small indulgence once in a blue moon.”

Marik was honestly taken back by the question, not in a bad way just surprised. She stayed quite for a moment and took another sip of her drink. "Does a good fight count? If so.. all the time" It was a rhetorical question, she was pretty sure that was not what they meant by the question though. Marik looked Morrigan in the eyes, with glint that could possibly mean they were planning something. "To be fair, you hired me to a do job. I take every job i except very serious especially when it involves someone's life in my hands." She scanned the room, as she usually does from time to time making sure she was still aware of what was happening around them "Maybe when this job is done, there will be a blue moon and have some fun as you say and indulge myself" She said looking back at them with a small smirk of her own. "Now go have your fun, while I make sure no one tries to kill you" Marik said with a weird mixture of seriousness and playfulness while take another sip of her drink.

Morrigan rolled their eyes playfully. “No, a good fight does not count. I mean real dancing. The kind where there’s no stakes, nothing but you and the rhythm, losing all your inhibitions as you give yourself up to the song. That kind of dancing." They said with a wink.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. If we keep our business and pleasure wholly separate then we spend our work days wishing for freedom and our free time lamenting the return to work.” They whined, put out that Marik wouldn’t have fun with them. They knew that they’d been the one to hire her, but it didn’t look like there would be any more threats to their person at the moment! Besides, as long as they kept their big fat mouth shut and refrained from insulting any of the pirates meandering around the bar, then they would be fine!
… Easier said than done.
“Your professionalism is noted and admired, though.” They wiggled their fingers, throwing glitter at her from their sleeve. “I’ll go do a lap around the floor while you ruminate about what I’ve said, okay? Ta!”
They breezed off, going to mingle with a few of the locals. It looked like they were hitting it off with a couple of people, exchanging kind words and throwing glitter in the air. Perhaps there was not anything for Marik to be worried about at all.
… A few minutes later Morrigan was about to get their lights punched out for selling snake oil to some taverngoer.

Marik smirked a little at the frustration in Morrigan's voice, the fact of the matter was she rarely had the luxury of fully being able to do that. She isn't even sure she would know how if given the opportunity, she has always had be on her guard. Cautious of everything and everyone, its all she knew how to do. Though she wouldn't admit it outload, cause gods know she would never hear the end of it, she was enjoying her night. Though they could get on her nerves, Morrigan was fun to be around. Though not necessarily surprised, she was not expecting the small glitter shower she received as Morrigan turned and headed to socialize. Marik dusted as much of the glitter off as she could, though some still remained. She rolled her eyes slightly and took another sip of her drink making sure to keep Morrigan in sight. She watched as they talked with other people around the tavern. All seemed to be going well, she saw smiles, some laughter, and a fair amount of glitter being tossed into there. She noticed Morrigan lingering with one group for longer then the others, not entirely sure what was going on she started to make her way in there direction just to be sure it was still just friendly banter. Unfortunately there a quite crowd she had to get thru. At one point a Morrigan was out of view, though Mariks short statue did come in handy at time... this was not one of them. When Marik was finally able to push thru she saw the tail end of a punch making contact with Morrigan's face as they went down. Marik instantly went into fight mode, deciding pushing her way thru was to slow she stepped on to a stool that was not being occupied. She jumped to a near by table, knocking a few emtpy glasses to the floor then used a rather tall Orc's shoulder as momentum and landed next to Morrigan dagger drawn towards the individual who had attacked ready for there next move.

Was it their imagination, or had Morrigan made a dent in the stony facade that was Lady Marik? They thought they saw her features soften for the briefest moment as they traipsed away. It was no smile, but for now, they’d consider this a victory in the quest to get her to lighten up just a hair.
… Of course, they could not resist indulging in their own philosophy, either.
Morrigan Moonweaver, for all their faults - and Ginma, were there many - was nothing if not an opportunist. It was a quality that was as much a boom as it was a curse, and the lavender fellblood could not resist a little cash-making while they were enjoying themselves. It was almost like a compulsion, at this point. Even as they enjoyed dancing and fun and flirting and all the fun there was to be had, they couldn’t resist the chance to make a little money. So when one particularly drunk taverngoer started whispering about his woes, Morrigan could not resist the opportunity to slide in and offer some of Morrigan Moonweaver’s patented malady remedies.
Unfortunately for them, they’d quite misread the situation, and apparently offering a potion to a grieving man guaranteed to cure depression was… not the most sensitive or smart thing to do.
Morrigan’s world shifted on its axis as they were cold-clocked straight in the jaw, the charlatan tumbling to the ground. Instinct kicked in - this was the time they usually skedaddled and got the hell out of dodge. But before they could, the sound of breaking glass and shocked gasps from patrons echoed through the room - and a shadow cast over Morrigan, standing firmly between them and the thug.
The burly, drunk man cracked his knuckles, eyes aflame. “Stand aside, lass. This ain’t your business. This between me and the shitstain who thought it was a good idea to try peddlin’ they’re disgusting crap to a grieving man. They deserve to get what’s comin’ to them.”

Dagger in hand Marik stared up at the drunken man, “on the contrary they are very much my business, as far as I can tell a concerned fellow patron was simply trying to help someone who could use a bit of pick me up” She said pushing the dagger closer to the mans mid section. “There is no need to make a big scene over a misunderstanding now is there?”
The drunkin man growled under his breath clearly annoyed looking between the two Tiefling, “I am not going to be made a fool of!” He said drawing his fist back to take a punch but felt a sharpness on is abdomen. “One of two things can happen here, either you can sit back down and go back to drinking your sorrows away and they wont bother you the rest of the night. Or you can try and punch me and end in a fight that will more then likely get us both kicked out which doesnt exactly seem like a good ending to your night…. It's your call?”
He lowered his fist scowl still very present, “Fine but keep them and there shit of a remedy away from” replied and plopping back down and chugging some here is drink sloshing it everywhere in the process. Marik rolled her eyes, keeping the dagger out just in case the idiot changed his mind turned towards Morrigan and extended her hand to help them up. “So much for a low profile huh?” she said with small smirk.
