Zarius' cunning was not to be trifled with, even as Bellighul was incredibly swift, the Fighter seemed to hurl him across the pit. Several meters away, the Necromancer was tossed, upside down, slamming into his own structure. The Death Wall clawed at his own back, strange screaming emanated from the wall and Bellighul tumbled down vertically before he bounced off and onto the dirt below. His vest and pristine shirt now torn to shreds. Hanging off his muscular frame in tatters. He laid there for but a second, a frenzied frive aiding his recovering as he still gasped for air. Using the Scythe as a brace, he lifted himself to his feet. His torso was now barren, as the wind and movement allowed the shreds to slide off. A pallid scarred physique.
Often he thought, he needed armor. He fought unlike a Mage, rather to wade into the fray then remain at a distance. It was his bloodline. An honorbound Nomad at heart. Thus, he went on the offensive for a moment, as Rabiz swung it's axe like a beserker at Ulrich once more. The strength of the grave propelled the new Ghoul to attempt to decapitate Ulrich. Yet, His Hullk, a great and nefarious construct, marched closer to Bellighul, towering above the pit in its enormity. Yet, it did not strike at the Electromancer, rather swinging it's accursed axe up and over the pit. A horrifying wail echoed within.
However, Bellighul was too blood hungry to notice right away.
He lashed out at Zarius with another Chromatic Blast, a ray of Ice in a bright blue-white aimed directly at Zarius' torso.
However, his attention soon turned upwards, as two draconic yet serpent like heads came crashing into the Hulk's shoulders. His Summon's axe covered in black blood as a severed neck of the Hydra spewed forth. The blood seemed to boil the shattered wooden structure beneath. Acidic. Corrosive. The vile monstrosity continued to tear at the Hulk, who released its mighty weapon and gripped the Hydra by two throats. Though, another remained, raised high, yellow eyes glaring down as its rancid mouth opened wide and released down on the pit a cone of acid breath. Meanwhile, the last severed head began to twist and morph, as two stumps of flesh wiggled where the wound once was. Great talons marched forward, and gripped the edge of the pit, its hunger was all consuming.
A foe the trio now must cut down or die.

The necromancer took the bait perfectly. Zarius holds his hand up as the spell makes contact and instantly the cold evaporates into mist from an intense heat that ripples through the tiefling’s body. Below his skin there is a blue light like the glow of hot coals which runs up his arm and into his chest. He exhales a puff of black smoke as the wounds on the backs of his legs close, restoring his mobility.[1]
Just in time too as the multi-headed creature enters the fray in earnest. Its weight bears down on the platform which buckles and splinters. The creature releases the spray of corrosive acid across the muddied fighting ring. Zarius evades by springing back up onto the other side of the platform, his boots sticking to the vertical surface of the supports to give himself some solid footing.[2]
Couching on the edge of the platform, he glances down at Bellighul and Ulrich…why were they both shirtless? The tiefling shakes his head. Ridiculous. He had half a mind to just vanish and leave them both to become snake food. But if either survived and he encountered them a second time then that action might buy him even more undeserved resentment. He couldn’t care less about either of the fighters, but this creature was a major threat to Gazablaak and its civilians. If they had any sense of morality, the other two would realize this as well and fend it off.
There was no helping it, he would engage with the monstrosity. Though if he could get the necromancer killed at the same time that would be ideal.
Zarius runs across the platform and then up the side of one of the trees looming over the pits. Being on the ground was not the ideal place to be given that Bellighul and the hydra were squaring up. He knew the other guy had ways to get up into the air since he just air walked over the bone wall earlier. Once he gets up onto a branch, he whistles loudly at the creature to draw the attention of one of its heads. With a quick spring in his step, he jumps off the branch towards the serpentine head.
As he falls, the head rears back then strikes forward with its jaws open wide. The tiefling slams his fist into its upper jaw and grabs a hold of its upper lip as its teeth snap together like a metal trap.[3] His momentum carries through as he lands heavy on its back, twisting its long neck backwards.[4]
Cutting wasn’t really his thing, which probably worked in their favor here. This thing clearly could regrow heads that had been severed off, but a snapped neck or a cracked skull might not trigger the duplication. Still, grabbing onto the heads was one thing, getting any leverage on the squirming creature was another entirely. The hydra’s flexible neck and strong muscles strain against his hold as another head turns its attention on him with a hiss.

The Undead Rabiz flew through the air towards the bespectacled man with the intent to kill. His axe was reared back, ready to bring it to Ulrich's neck with a deadly swipe. The bespectacled man had enough time to react to the Undead Rabiz's surprise attack. As Rabiz flew closer he swiped viciously with his axe at a horizontal angle— intending for it's blade to meet Ulrich's neck— but the blade never met flesh. Instead it would only be met with empty space. Ulrich had managed to pull his head back, using the momentum of the maneuver, he twisted his body in the air as he avoided the axe's swing.1 The back of Rabiz's head was met with Ulrich's fist, and the axe wielder's head was driven into the ground. An audible, violent crack could be heard as the Undead man slid through the mud.
Just then, a spray of acid comes down from above. Ulrich manages to narrowly dodge some of the acid coming his way. It lands on the ground, a burning smell emanating from it as a sickly hiss is heard. He looks up to see that Zarius had found his way atop the monstrosity. Another one of it's heads had turned it's attention on him with a hiss, but the Tiefling was busy trying to hold on. Ulrich clenches his fist as he readies himself into a launching stance.2 The wisps of the wind can be seen gathering underneath him in one second, and in the next, a violent howling of wind explodes throughout the area as he launches for the monstrosity.3
The head of the Hydra that had it's eyes trained on the Tiefling, turned it's attention to the bespectacled man flying through the air right towards it. The last thing it saw before it's vision went dark was the image of the man's fist ferociously connecting with the top of it's head with a loud crack. The head slumps down, it's dead weight burdening the Hydra as it struggles to keep itself up.
As Ulrich flies past the Hydra into the air above the pit, he pulls his dagger from it's sheath, throwing at the creature. It manages to get lodged into the skin on it's back. He'd managed to save the Tiefling— or buy him some time, at least. The Hydra's other heads hissed and roared in anger. It looked as if it was readying itself for another spray of acid!
"Necromancer," Ulrich shouted to the man still in the pit, "It would serve you best to find a way out of that pit now!"

The Lord of Ghouls was dramatic as ever, watching as several sprays of green liquid fused into an acidic rain and barreled down into the pit. His eyes narrowed slightly and a curious smile appeared just as the breath attack was within arms reach. Crouching low, his muck covered boots sinking deeper into the mud, he would cast Blink immediately. However, his Undead Hulk's form was bathed in the corrosive attack. The rotting flesh and bones steaming as ichor began to roll off its physique. Releasing its grip on the Hydra's two necks and lifted the shaft of its vile weapon. Though it felt no pain, it howled in an undead rage as its now brittle, chipped and pitted ax reared upward and timed well with Zarius' and Ulrich's powerful blows.
The dulled edge slamming into the Hydra's shoulder, burying itself deep within. Though, Bellighul's magic had faded, the behemoth dissipated into ashes and into the wind and accursed earth it was summoned.
Yet, the Necromancer had not fled.
His Blink spell manifested him behind and above the Hydra, his scythe gleaming in the moonlight as it too was raised high. The flame red hair bellowed backward as he hurled his entire body forward with all his might. The scythe blade striking near the wound left by his Hulk. The Harvest Reaper unleashed a terrible scream as it cut through the torso and along the spine of the massive beast. Using his own momentum to guide the laceration down as Bellighul landed on his feet. Knees buckling and a sharp pain shooting through his feet and up his legs. The drop from such a height was painful. A few feet higher and his legs would have been broken. Though, he did not falter.
The beast's blood was tainting the grass, itself lashing out in kind as the Dark Lord in his vile delight watched the wound bleed. He was taken by surprise as the Hydra's tail came crashing into his side, shattering his left arm as he was propelled across the ground and away. Unfortunate. His scythe revolving maddeningly through the air.
His pallid skin now scraped, cut and bruising, nearly purple and swollen on the arm, his teeth bare and face contorted in a wince as he rose slowly.

Zarius struggles to keep his hold on the thrashing hydra’s head. A wave of relief would have washed over him from Ulrich's assistance if he wasn't so preoccupied with keeping an acid spitting snake head under control. He gets fed up with its squirming especially as its blood sprays out from the wound Bellighul had created with his scythe, covering the tiefling in the metallic smelling liquid.
Wrestling with the head, he pulls on it and gets over to the side of the head as he bends it further back, straining the neck vertebrae and muscles to their limits of flexibility. He lets go with one hand and slams his fist into the underside of the hydra’s jaw. There’s a loud cracking noise and the neck seems to pop midway down at an awkward angle. With one last effort the hydra jerks forward suddenly.
The blood stings the tiefling’s eyes, briefly blinding him. He tries to move to a better position when his foot slips out from under him. Feeling the tension release, the hydra slings its head forward like a whip, launching the tiefling across the fighting pit. Its head dangles loosely as more blood drips from its broken jaws.
Zarius slams into the mud, skips across the ground like a stone across water and skids back, knocking into Bellighul.
“Oof!”
The tiefling rolls onto his back in the mud. He had tried to take the landing better, but the slickness of the soft soil made that near impossible. At least the landing was relatively soft. He wipes the muck from his face and looks up the pale red-head looming over him covered in cuts and bruises and with that same crazy expression on his face. The tiefling swears under his breath as he scrambles to get up and away from the necromancer.

Ulrich watched as the two men landed their attacks against the beast.
The Necromancer's attack had grace; timing his Hulk's attack with theirs, utilizing his blink magic to appear in the air for a flank, throwing himself towards the beast to slash at it with his scythe. He didn't know if the Necromancer had any way to soften his landing afterwards. That surely wasn't the best feeling after an attack like that!
The Tiefling's attack— while not as graceful— was still greatly effective all the same! Bending the neck he held onto and slamming his fist into it's jaw rendering it useless! Had it not been for the Necromancer's previous attack, the Tiefling wouldn't have been blinded by the Hydra's blood and lost his footing.
Of course, this foe they all faced was no pushover. It managed to retaliate against the two, and now, they stood there side by side in the pit once again. They didn't look too happy about that!
Ulrich was lost in his appreciation that he almost didn't realize that the Hydra had now turned it's sights onto him. The remaining head's started to snap at him viciously. He gave a bit of a yelp as he dodged the first attack on instinct. He continued the onslaught of snapping jaws until one of them looked to be preparing another acid attack.
Oh no you don't!
Dodging one more snapping jaw he launched himself1 towards the head as it was about to spit the aforementioned acid. Balling his fist and rearing it back2, a sickening CRAAACK could be heard as the Hydra's head flew backwards! The acid it had gathered in it's mouth now sprayed into the pit in the other two men's direction! Ulrich didn't have much time to react to the Hydra's counterattack unfortunately. With it's momentum shifting it's body backward, another head swung towards Ulrich! He only had enough time to fly in the direction of it's trajectory to soften the blow. It didn't do much, the attack still hurt like hell.
He was smacked, and flew through the air, landing hard onto the ground in a backwards tumble. His tumble ended into the stump of a tree. Pain shot through his body, as he sat there panting for air. He had the wind knocked out of him, and now he was vulnerable for another attack from the beast.
