Bellighul
Gender: Male
Age: 30 years (at time of death)
Race: Human (Reborn)
Nationality: Zeinavian
Appearance: Bellighul wears the dark funerary robes of Sorcerers past, featuring draping breathable linen purposed for the scorching heat of the White Sand desert. His head covered in a shemagh of the same material, held in place by a simple golden band. Gloves brandishing archaic runes cover his otherwise unnoticeable pallid skin and simple black boots are barely visible under his robes. Most obvious of all, is the skull-like mask forged of thin cold iron.
Personality: Risen from the grave, from a time long past, he often remains silent as a corpse. Though, his voice booms with a phantasmal quality when he wishes to speak, often enigmatically. Ambitious and calculating, powered by a sense of entitlement a former Sorcerer King only could possess. A great sense of melancholy assails him, almost a radiating sense of gloom emits from his person. A brooding figure, he lacks hobbies and distastes merriment of any sort aside from the few pleasures; mainly studying occult lore and bottles of the finest Zeinavian wine. Though, this sad one dimensionality of character does not mean he is unapproachable. Conversing on a variety of subjects is a pass-time he has begun to entertain and as a staunch megalomanic; flattery and gifts are the easiest methods of bringing him into the fold. A faithful adherent to Lunala's darker aspect, through the lens of "The Nightbringer", "Maw of the Moon" and other stygian bygone names, his devotion to lunar phase rituals are often a hallmark of certain days and doings.
History: By means unknown, Bellighul has risen from the tombs of an ancient desert kingdom; though a shadow of his former self. Severed from his once vast pool of mana by perhaps some millennia. Born to a nomadic family, his interests and talent in the obscure and profane arts was memorable from a young age. Separated from his parents at a young age, as the Magocracy took guardianship of those with such abilities at the age of ten, he was raised amongst others such as himself as apprentices and clerics. His aptitude was noticed quickly, but his forceful personality and ego made him many enemies in the court. However, he excelled. For several years into adulthood he gathered secrets of both magic and man, using them against his rivals as he saw fit. By the age of twenty-seven, he was member of the ruling Magocracy, a circle of conniving sorcerer-priests. But his past doings where not forgotten, conspired against due to poisoned politics and dealings: murdered by a simple assassin whilst he slept. The pleasures of palm fans, exotic furs and silks, luxurious lodgings and excessive feasts long gone.
Perhaps, in this Age of Progress, the Ebon Enigma will claim such riches and power once more.
