Room to Grow

In a sudden and unexpected turn of events, Beist grew to over 15 feet tall and finds himself needing a bit more space than his wagon can provide any more. It's a good thing that, with increased success at selling his potions now that he's a member of the Golden Consortium, he can get him and his animal companions a house. He's also set his sights on building even more connections with other guilds, further growing his business.

Monster Grandpa

In the wake of the strange effect on magic that Vulcadreus' revival brought, Pretzels started to regain his magic at a much faster rate. Beist needed his celestial spirit removed from his body before he became unable to contain it. Thankfully, he managed to do so with some assistance, but it left a lasting effect on him, transforming his tail to resemble the serpent spirit that used to reside in him. Longer, partially white-scaled, and tipped with gold feathers. But at the same time, he also gained a granddaughter.

Leni-Aura
Beist sees her as a granddaughter even though he won't say it out loud because he doesn't believe she'd reciprocate his feelings. He helped teach her how to read and write . He cares for her as well as her baby lightning drake, Nimbus, like they're his own children which includes being overly anxious about the dangerous situations they get into, like fighting monsters.

Kamille
Good friends, alchemist buddies, and cute animal appreciators. Beist can't agree with her fear of spiders though. He finds them adorable.

Fish
Fellow Golden Cnnsortium member. Beist thinks they're very cute. Fish is the one who caused Beist to go and learn sign language after they had difficulty communicating while on a mission to collect some fire catalyst.

Zarius
Beist regrew Zarius' arm after he lost it to an ooze. He considers Zarius a friend and ally, and is also fond of his sister Eamaia after meeting her while putting up flyers in Sol City.

Knows he's a vampire.

Gerhart

Astrid
Adoptive Granddaughter (Or it might be more accurate to say she adopted him as a grandfather). Cares greatly for her, and was overjoyed when she called him grandpa after she helped him remove the Quetzalcoatl spirit from his body that was threatening to kill him. Considers her family and knows she feels the same way. She's also an alchemist and he hopes to help her grow as one.

Cypress
Alchemy student and Astrid's girlfriend. He sees her as basically his granddaughter as well and is happy when she calls him Grandpa Beist.

Ak'ka
He considered her a bit scary when they first met, but he knows she's not as frightening as she might make herself out to be. They both enjoy the company of cute animals. How can someone be scary with a mouse in their pocket? She's strong and knows how to fight, and Beist hopes she can teach him a little of how to defend himself sometime.
