Beistmild
Gender: Male
Age: 44
Height: 15' 6"
Race: Beast Man (former Were-Bear)
Nationality: King's Valley
Favorite Foods: Cheesecake, Cheese Danishes, Biscuits with Honey, Tea
Hobbies: Knitting, Cooking
Appearance: Beistmild is incredibly tall, standing at 15' 6" (not including the horns), with a very broad, very muscular, bulky build with a fairly chubby belly. His bluish grey skin is mostly covered by dark grey, slightly curly fur or greenish blue scales. His hands have large claws and have black paw pads on the tips of his fingers and palms. He has a long, thick tail covered in scales with a soft tuft of fur at the end and spikes along the top that also grow from along his spine. He has four arms, though he tends to keep the second pair hidden beneath his cloak while not using them for anything. His feet, which he keeps bare most of the time, are more like bear's paws than human feet.
Tusks and fangs poke out of the animal-like mouth mostly hidden behind a thick mustache and beard under his wide, almost bovine nose. His furry ears are pointed and droop down slightly. His bright green, tired-looking eyes remain the most human-looking part of him. On top of his head are two pairs of dark grey, pointed horns, one larger than the other and branching off to almost resemble antlers, and the other much smaller.
His clothing is able to magically change as he wishes it to, but he most commonly wears a white, long-sleeved button up shirt with a brown and green vest that have holes for his lower pair of arms to stick out of and brown slacks with leather belt has different pouches attached to store his potions and other items in, all beneath a comfortable green robe. He wears no shoes, but the bottoms of his feet and toes have thick pads, so walking barefoot doesn't bother him.
Personality: Despite his rather fearsome size and strength, Beistmild is a gentle soul and not much of a fighter. Despite being an adventurer, he mostly prefers to spend his time brewing potions in his workshop that may help others, observing interesting plants and animals in the wild, or caring for his pets and garden. He tries to avoid combat if he can. He doesn't like fighting, but can be very vicious if he is forced to do so.
He cares greatly for animals, especially the creatures that have found a home with him. He loves them like they're his own grandchildren and might spoil them slightly. His sense of humor is dad jokes and alchemical puns. He can ramble on for hours about plants, animals, or alchemy without realizing it.
He's a bit insecure about his appearance, considering himself a monster. He is hesitant to meet new people due to his scary appearance, but greatly enjoys the company of others and asks friends to call him Beist. Though, he thinks of just about anyone he meets and doesn't run away from him as a friend. He hopes to one day find a way to change his form to be human again, or at least to be a bit smaller.
History: Armund Beistmild was born a simple Were-Bear, though hardly anything remains to show it, except maybe his size and build. He was a bit of a hermit, living in the woods due to his fear of accidentally harming an innocent person while transformed. Unable to control himself when he was in his beast form, he turned to alchemy to try and brew a potion that would give him control over his beastly form. He thought it may be possible to simply remove his ailment entirely, but though he feared it, he also enjoyed the feeling of strength and power it gave him.
Beistmild experimented using a variety of mixtures and ingredients, including the blood of different half-beast races and different creatures with shapeshifting abilities, trying to make his potion. Eventually, one of his potions seemed to be his answer and it did prove successful, though not without flaws. After drinking the potion, he was now in control of his beastly form, but he was unable to change back to his human appearance. On top of that, his form was strangely altered, mixed with the forms of the creatures and races he had used the blood of.
With some regret, Beistmild now wishes to undo his mistake, but isn't sure he trusts himself to do so with another potion. He also isn't entirely sure he wants to change back to the way he was. He fears his animals may leave him or he may lose the budding earth domain magic he started to develop after his transformation. But he does want to be able to change into a human form again, even if his beast form remains altered.
After a failed attempt to regain his human form, he was left even larger and more beastly than before, leaving him even more hesitant to attempt to make a potion to change himself back.
Fun Facts: Beist talks in his sleep, usually rambling about plants or his pets.
Beist has multiple stomachs and multiple hearts.
