The morning had gone like any other, Kit rolled out of his hammock to the sounds of birds chirping in his window. His quaint room generously lent to him by the archdruid Eldrin who had already left the treehouse to go meditate alongside a nearby spring. The short and fluffy Tanukin patted down his beige fur before throwing on his pine green cloak, and as he was about to go out the door to attend to his chores he spotted a new batch of jalapeno peppers Eldrin had placed on the table. Kit devilishly grinned to himself has he switched the places of the jalapenos with the bell peppers and cast false object to swap their appearances before giggling to himself.
On the porch of his master's small hut he had a clear view of the colorful field of flowers and herbs that decorated the center of town. He sauntered down the wooden ramp leading to ground level humming to himself as he picked up his watering can and filled it by the spring. The early morning rays shined through the canopy overhead as he made his way to the garden, the dirt path being disrupted by his puffy tanuki tail that wagged lazily behind him.
He continued to tour the garden, watering and pruning the assortment of medical plants his hometown was famous for, boredom pricking at the back of his mind as he looked over the garden. I wonder what kind of mischief I'll find myself in today, this village is far to peaceful sometimes.
After a few hours had gone by, his peaceful morning was suddenly interrupted by an Aviankin crashing through the trees, "H-help..." the falcon said before closing his eyes.
"Eldrin, come quick!" Kit shouted as he looked over their new patient, parting his feathers to reveal his veins had become swollen and a dark purple. "I-I don't know what this is, a poison of some kind perhaps?"
His elvish master came bounding up, his expression becoming grim, "That's not good, I've only seen these symptoms once before." He indicated to a wound on the Aviankin's arm that Kit had missed to reveal fang marks, "Our feathery friend has been bitten by a rare species of Wraith Viper found in the Shadewood forest. I'll take the patient to the lodgings and do what I can, but we'll need to put forth an expedition to track down and extract venom from the creature that did this."
(Out of character: My future posts are very unlikely to get this long, I just got to into setting the scene lol. Anyone is free to write themselves into the story at any point you feel like it)

Sarris had come to the Moonvale Forest with Mistress Kamile and her cousin The Young Lord Sarne. She had come to learn about different t herb and plants. So far her favorite planet was the Gold Clover, which had a beautiful scent and was able to numb the body and one’s senses. Mistress Kamille was teaching her about making poisons and some healing potions.
Sarris was drawing a picture and making marks indicating what she had learned about the last two plants she had learned about. Hearing shouts, she headed for the commotion to see if she could help.

“Hello? Sorry for the intrusion, but is Master Eldrin here?”
A voice sounded from near the treehouse, where another aviankin stood by the gate. He appeared to be younger and shorter in stature, with unkempt white feathers and a scholarly outfit.
Spotting the two people at the garden, he waved at them.
“Ho there, good morning. I’m looking for Master Eldrin, this is his abode yes?”
He noticed the poisoned man.
“Um, is he alright?”

Eldrin looks up from all the commotion to see another Aviankin looking down at them, " I'm afraid not, he's been bitten by an incredibly deadly viper. If he's lucky, my remedies can slow the symptoms and buy him a day or two at most." The usually energetic furball that is Kit chimes in, " I was just about to venture forth to acquire the necessary antivenom," he speaks up for any on lookers to hear, " if anyone is able, and brave enough, I'm going to be venturing into the shadewood to hunt a Wraith Viper; however, the journey will be perilous and we must make haste. Do we have any volunteers?" Eldrin took a moment to prepare a stretcher that he had brought and motions for Kit to help him move the patient onto it.

Post by Lord Sarne Sequoia on Aug 22, 2022 8:51:22 GMT -5
Sarne was walking trying to keep an eye on his cousin Sarris and also looking for flowers and plants on his list. As always he was distracted by the local wildlife and forest in this area. Sarne had been up since the Sun had started to light the sky. Sarne felt at pace in the forest He walked along blinding into the forest and making almost no noise. Tracking his cousin now and then.
Sarne heard a noise that spooked the animals and then his cousin runoff. Sarne followed whatever the nose was and now shouting could not be a good sign.
Sarne appeared out of the forest he had made no noise just seemed like he came out of no were. He saw them talking.
One of them adorned in a simple green cloak clasped around their shoulders with a raven's skull atop a leather jerkin, It was Tanukin standing almost four and a half feet tall. He was covered in long and puffy fur that makes his otherwise slender frame look deceptively plump. His face and dog-like paws are covered in dark chocolate fur, betraying his otherwise cream-colored pelt.
He was talking to another Aviankin. He appeared to be younger and shorter in stature, with unkempt white feathers and a scholarly outfit.
The Tanukin Sarne had heard of the other he did not know. Sarne walked up to the two he could hear his cousin coming right behind him. The little Tanukin is called kit Sarne and was sure he worked with Master Eldrin.
"Excuse me," Sarne said with a slight bow. "Master Eldrin? my Grandfather Duke Sequoia sends you greetings." the cloaked man said. The man you see has soft features like an elf with a husky build. He is strong and has swift movements. You can tell he is a nobleman in the way he presents himself, his armor, and his clothing. His perspiring green eyes shine in the light. He stands almost 6 feet. His dirty blond hair is neat and well-kept. His skin is slightly tan shows the time he spent in the wilderness. His armor has a crest that could be seen on his front and back, A large tree with two wolf heads on each side pointing at the tree with three stars above it.
"I am Young Lord Sarne Sequoia Vanguard of Solaria of The Grey Citadel. What has to happen to make all this commotion this early on a beautiful morning," asks Sarne.

Post by Hylltywyll on Aug 23, 2022 12:58:37 GMT -5
Hylltywyll was hiding in the shadows of the berry bush in the medicinal garden, trying to avoid being found by that Tanukin going around and pruning and watering the plants. The bush he was under was about to be watered by the Tanukin, when suddenly, an Aviankin fell through the trees and asked for help!
Hylltywyll popped the last of the stolen berries in his mouth as he watched and listened to the commotion while more and more people gathered in the garden after the Aviankin. Apparently, they were poisoned and in need of venom from a Wraith Viper to cure him. "That's going to be pretty hard to get. Oh well." He was about to make a quiet escape when he suddenly realized "Ahh! I owe that guy a favor for stopping that Tanukin from pouring water on me!" He sighed to himself. It may be a small favor compared to saving someone's life, but he wouldn't be able to repay him at all if he died. "Maybe I should go... at least it might be interesting..." Hylltywyll shook his head. "No, that's too big a favor! If he survives, I'll give him some fruit or something. If he doesn't, well... that's not my fault. These people seem like they've got it."
Hylltywyll quietly snuck away, out of the garden to find somewhere with less commotion.
(This post was originally me sort of asking for permission to join, since there's already 4 other people in this thread, but I decided to just drop out of it and re-edited my post slightly to make it clear Hylltywyll wasn't joining. However, it is kind of canon that he saw this stuff happen. You can skip me in the order from now on.)

Sarris looked at Kit and said, “Young Lord Sarne and I would be willing to help hunt this viper.” She was more interested in taking a break from trying to memorize plants and their properties. Serpent poison would be good to have on hand and Cole folding her cousin was always good fun.
She watched the Druid doing some of his healing work. She looked at Kit and asked, “What will we need to capture this viper?” She had no idea of what they would need. She suspected they would kill it which would make it easy.

Realising that the elven man was the Archdruid Eldrin, Finley felt ecstatic. He had come here in hope of visiting the mythical archdruids to further his knowledge on the strange flora of Moonglade. He didn’t expect to actually meet one, and so easily too!
However, he suppressed his excitement and looked over at the wounded and sickened aviankin man. He decided to help this unfortunate man first instead.
“I’ll help!” He raised a hand.
