Akira Tokoyama
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Race: Human
Nationality: Starlight City
Appearance:
Akira is a bulky female, standing at six feet tall with a very built frame, having toned muscle and a larger frame than other females her age. She has a light skin complexion, one very similar to others who have called the crescent island home, however her hair is a bright fire red and is extremely bushy, flowing off her head like flames themselves. She often keeps her hair tied up in a pony tail, but every now and then can be seen with it worn down. She wears very traditional clothing of her family, loose fitting robes tied around the waist with a rope, traditional images printed into the fabric. Her torso and entire side is decorated with tattoos, depicting various things from ancient demons to brave warriors who fought them off. While trained to be a proper female of her culture, Akira instead is a very brutish woman, choosing to break traditions and live life her own way.
Personality:
Raised by a royal family Akira was taught proper manners growing up, having a better education than most her age. She was taught how to read and write, learning the proper etiquette and how to interact with people. However this was unnatural to her, she did not want to live life the way her family had raised her to and instead chose to break formality and be herself. The true Akira is a loud, rude and kind of arrogant person, choosing to follow her own dreams instead of those set for her. While she can often come off as a bitch, she is a very kind hearted person, caring for others and doing her best to be a good person. She feels just like any other person, experiencing happiness, sadness, love, hate and most of all anger. She is considered a loose cannon, speaking her mind and doing what she pleases, normally reacting in the most unexpected way possible.
History:
Born to a very prestigious and noble family, Akira was the youngest of four children, and the only female born to the Tokoyama family. Her three older brothers were the pride of the family, very skilled fighters and extremely educated scholars, and thus she was expected to follow in their foot steps, marrying a rich noble and becoming an educated wife. Most of her child hood was presented this way, with her family grooming her to become a nobleman's wife, marry into a rich family and live out her days in service to him. But she was different than other children, she did not care for tradition and honor, instead she wanted to explore the wilds, wrestle boys her age and overall go on adventures. She was rude, stingy, and angry, always lashing out at others and ignoring the culture of her family.
Because of this she was looked down upon by both her family and those of her community, considered a disgrace to her family name. As she grew older her attitude got worse, often casting out the ways of her family and always trying to remove herself. Her family began to hide her, attempting to alter the way she acted, often going through extreme measures to force her compliance. This built extreme resentment between her and her family, causing her to hate them and everything they stood for. In a final attempt to quell her disobedience her family called upon ancient priest and mages who practiced the dark arts. Their plan was to instill an ancient demon, an outcast ancestor inside of her, hoping the demon would take over and replace her will, instilling its own and bringing honor back to the family.
However they did not expect the demon to side with Akira, and instead of bowing to the command of the Tokoyama family, it instead fused itself with the woman, lending some of its power and further increasing her anger and rage. Now backed by an ancient demon, she tore from her family, vowing that she would never allow anyone to control her and that no matter what, she would live her own life. Her family attempted to disown her without realizing that it was welcomed, no longer wishing to be associated with her family or her culture. With a demon in side her, Akira left Starlight City in an attempt to find her own way. Her new found freedom offered her a chance at a new life, the chance to find out who she really was.
