Player Character Guilds
Once you have reached the pinnacle of renown in Charon, you have the option to further cement your place within Charon society by starting up your own guild. Creating a Guild gives you the opportunity to move out of the ordinary life of an adventurer and fill the role of a facilitator, letting you create an environment for others to role play in. PC Guilds let you craft unique quest, populate your shop with custom items and create an overall theme, establishing yourself in Charon.

Creating a PC Guild
In order to be eligible to create a PC Guild and become a Guild Master, your character must have gained Noble status in Charon, having a total of 24 or more renown through partaking in the Renown System. Once you have reached Noble and have purchased a Guild from the Noble Shop you can submit an application to create your very own PC guild. This application must be approved by staff before your guild opens. A PC guild must have an overall theme or goal that ties members together. The more detailed and specific the theme is, the easier it will be to get approved. Guilds in Charon need to have a purpose, a reason for existing, and staff can decline the creation of a guild based on its theme. In addition to needing a purpose, Guilds also fill a gap in society, so must be a unique theme or idea that is not already reflected in another guild. Guild themes that are too similar to an existing guild will be denied. Guild Masters can only operate one guild at a time and cannot be a member of another PC Guild. Characters of any renown are only allowed to be in one PC guild as well, however can leave one guild to join another without losing any earned rewards from the previous guild. To rejoin a guild you have already left, you simply have to redo the initiation quest. A guild costs 500 Solars to create, and must be paid for in one single payment by one character, however members who are interested in your guild may offer to help pay for this at time of creation. The character who makes the guild purchase must meet the requirements to do so and is considered to be the guild owner. You need more than just a creator to get a guild off the grounds though, as its members are the life blood of the organization. Upon submission of an application you need one other person to be joining with you, your first member. This character does not need to complete the initiation quest and instantly joins the guild along with you upon its approval. (Note: This only applies to one member joining with you, and can not cover more than one character) Guilds act as a secondary home for some, even being run from the house, while others elect to throw up shops or buildings, and some even turn hidden back alleys or secret rooms into their Guild House. Regardless of the flavor of the guild, it must reside in the same region you claim politically and is considered to be aligned with your home region. If you own a home, you can apply a discount to your guild based on the money invested into that home. You may subtract the price of your home and active upgrades on your home from the price of the guild. This allows you to reduce the price of the guild based on past investments. |
Requirements to Join
As Guild Master, you get to decide what the requirements to join your guild are. That said, guilds are meant to be exclusive to a certain degree, so you can't just let in any random off the streets. You guild's reputation will be shaped by you and your members after all. All guilds must have an Exalted skill requirement. What skill you pick should reflect the theme and flavor of your guild. It is up to you to decide how exclusive or specialized your guild is, though you should not make the requirement too broad. While an Exalted Skill is the base requirement, as the guilds leader you can choose to attach additional requirements to join, such as having crafted an item or completed a specific kind of activity. Prospective members will also have to prove their commitment to the guild by completing an initiation quest. The initiation quest should follow the same template as other guild quests and fit the flavor/theme of the guild. The first member to join alongside you does not need to complete this quest, however every new member after the first must complete it, as well as anyone attempting to reenter the Guild after leaving. |
Guild Perks
Creating a guild is big decision and commitment that comes with a number of perks for both the Guild Master and the members. Upon receiving an approved application, your guild will earn the following features. -Unique Guild title and Color represented in the database -Exclusive Guild Hall sub board -Exclusive Discord channel for members -Ability to craft guild quest and shop You can also purchase further guild upgrades from the Noble Shop, such as new shop slots or new guild quest. Guild Shop The Guild Shop for PC Guilds is not the same as those found in Charon's other guilds. Instead, PC Guild Shops are where the Guild Master can make their custom creations available to other guild members. Each Guild Shop can have a total of 9 slots for crafted creations such as items, spells, potions, or martial abilities which are sourced from the Guild Master. Upon an approved application, the guild owner will receive two Creation Tickets which can be used to make any custom creation (Does not include classes) that gets added to the guild shop as a guild exclusive item. After the two creation tickets, the guild master may fill out the rest of their seven slots with any personal creation they may have created, such as things created through crafting or fusion, spells created from classes, or items created through home upgrades, such as potions or martial skills. Staff will work with you on pricing and adding items to your guild shop. Anyone in your guild may purchase items from the shop regardless of having the needed skill associated with the item. Items from the shop can be purchased as many times by all members of the guild, and are not taken from the player if changed or removed from the guild shop. You do not need to fill out every slot in your shop upon Guild creation and can plan to leave slots open for things you plan on creating later. If a member of your guild is also a Noble with 24+ renown, they may also offer up their created items to be placed in the shop as well, but can not exceed the 9 slot limit. |
Guild Quests
A major perk of being a Guild Master is being a quest giver. As Guild Master, you have achieved a prestigious position in Charon society and have gained the trust of other guilds and seats of power across Charon. This gives you the opportunity to send your members out on quests to carry out tasks for your benefit. Initiation Quest Before a guild can be open to new members, it first must have an initiation quest. The Guild Master can design a quest following the same general template as seen below, flavoring the quest to fit in with the theme of their guild. The initiation quest should be a broad quest that encompasses the overall theme of the guild and should challenge members without being too difficult. You may choose to create a second, brand new re entry initiation quest for members who have left, or keep it as the default initiation quest. General Quest After the initiation quest, you may want to have a few general quest that focus on specific parts of the guilds theme. If you create a General Quest, you can also choose to attach completion requirements to your shop, such as locking specific items behind how many guild quest have been completed. You start with three General Quests and can add new ones over time through the noble shop, but all quests must be submitted to an admin and approved before being added to a guild. Political Quest The Guild Master also has the option to create their own Political Quest. For the Political Quest, you determine which region it takes place in and if the quest results in a gain or loss of security for that region. If the quest takes place in the Guilds Home region (Your home region) You gain positive security for that region and if it takes place in a different region, you may affect it with negative security. You can have two political quest active in your guild, but can purchase extra political quest from the Noble Shop. Characters can be in your guild and even complete your guilds political missions without needing to be aligned to that region. As members of your guild, they are considered an ally of the region, even if they claim another home region for politics. These quest can only be completed once a month, following our Political Quest guidelines. Crafting Quest Crafting Quests revolve around finding lost supplies, raiding camps, retrieving stolen goods, or foraging in the wilds. These quest will reward you with the ability to claim crafting material from our blacksmith. You can have two of these quest active in your guild, one which rewards two common material and one which rewards one rare material, but can only be completed once per month. Additional Crafting quest can be purchased from the Noble Shop. |
