Sylvari did not need clarification of Sarne's words upon hearing his accusatory, betrayed tone. She bowed her own head in regret: that she hadn't had a good opportunity to tell him before, that he found out in the first place.
"Since before we met." The deafening silence that followed prompted Sylvari to explain more. "When we first met, in the city, all those moons ago, I was veiled, as is my practice with commoners. I have no desire for them to be fearful of me, simply for my presence. In the time afterwards... I admit it was at least partially selfish. Even close friends who have accepted my beastly nature look at me differently after they know. It's the worst part: like dying to people you care about and seeing their reactions. I don't wish that on anyone else.
"Besides that, I know you to be a man of honor, of light and perhaps holiness. I didn't wish to cloud your vision with pointless extra considerations when I have no intention of doing anything to jeopardize our mission."
Though the vampiress' tone was conciliatory, there was a marked lack of proper apology. As she removed her veil, fully revealing her pure crimson eyes, the carried no shred of remorse, only sadness.

Sarne felt some guilt for confronting her he looked into Sylvari's eyes with no fear not disdain but friendship. "I am glad you told this to me. I had an idea back when we first met But I did not think it was my business to pry at that time. You demonstrated you have a love for the people that are unfortunate and poor in the world You have a heart and moral compass even the clerics don't have." started Sarne who walked up to her. "You are a friend to me and I never leave a friend. So do not fear me," said Sarne in all sincerity.
Sarne pulls out a coin with his family crest on it made of silver and gold. "Take this, if you ever need me or a place to stay give this coin at the gate of The Grey Citadel of Solaria and go to the gray keep they will help you without question." instructed Sarne with a warm smile. Lifting her hand and placing the coin in it. "I will not take no as an answer and take offense if you deny my gift," stated Sarne with a stern look on his face. He did not do this out of pity it was because he cared.
"Now let us find those spider eggs and destroy them," suggested Sarne with a smile.

Sylvari smiled, soft and warm, at Sarne's words and gift as she marveled how the light glinted against the coin in the palm of her hand. Before Sarne could turn away to track where the spiders had spun their webs, the vampiress pulled her friend into a close hug. There was a playful smile on her face and a glint of joy in her eyes as she embraced Sarne.
"Well I suppose I can't refuse when you put it like that. Thank you, Sarne. Your grace means much to me, as does your affirmation of my character. I may not have anything as grandiose as the Gray Keep, but if you ever find yourself in the Crescent Isles, needing a place to stay, Paladin's Rest lies open to you."
Sylvari pulled back slightly, her mirthful smirk eased into a gentle, earnest smile as she comfortingly patted the noble's shoulders. "Alright, now that reconciliation is out of the way, please lead us to the nest to finish this. I wouldn't have the poor farmers and other common folk nearby live in fear for one more second than they need to." Sylvari slung her warhammer into its sheath as she prepared to rush alongside her friend to finish the fight.

Sarne turned to look at the webs and knew the direction they had to travel. Taking a step in that direction Sarne was pulled in by Sylvari into a close hug. There was a playful smile on Sylvari's face and a glint of joy in her eyes as she embraced Sarne. At first, Sarne tensed up it had been a long time since Sarne had been or hugged anyone. Even though they were red her eyes were striking to him.
His heart raced his face got a little red. He turned and returned the hug. It felt good and relaxed him. "Thank you." He smiled "I have forgotten what a hug felt like." said Sarne with a warm smile. When ready Sarne let go of the embrace when they were ready. "I hate to break this up. But we need to kill a few things before the people are out of danger," suggested Sarne with a grin.
With all said and done Sarne and Sylvari moved into the forest Sarne was not moving fast this time and taking time to look around it was almost dark now and in the dark spiders could have the advantage over them. [1] Sarne's keen senses were tuned to every sound and movement around them. They had made it to some thick webbing. Sarne paused and raised his hand to motion for them to stop without saying a word.
As a hunter Sarne always had some things ready and now was the time to use them as two spiders the size of a cat came at them they were baby spiders and could not be more than a week old. Sarne knew he was in the nest now. "Close your eyes," Sarne warned Sylvari. [2] He threw two glass balls at them when they broke there was a flash and explosion. The two baby spiders were burned to death instantly. The fire spread everywhere when the webs caught fire as well. "Oh... No..." said Sarne he mumbled something then said "Run!" as a gold hue covered both of them.
After getting out of the forest and back to the homesteads Sarne let out a chuckle. "I did not think the webbing would burn like that. That was a little too close for me. They are dead after that blaze," commented Sung. Sarne turned as a red glow in the forest where the fire was.

Sylvari pulled a veil of darkness over her eyes [Ebon Eyes] as the pair entered the forest: at least one of them should be able to see clearly. It wasn't long before she and Sarne made their way into a thicket of dense webbing, with little spiderlings flitting about in irritation. Little was a relative term when it came to giant spiders, however. The smallest were still several times the size of their mundane cousins.
Ever resourceful, Sarne had prepared orbs of fiery explosion to deal with the nest. At the noble's warning, he and Sylvari sprinted away from the explosion, which burned through the flammable webbing with a vengeance. Seeing the ensuing forest fire spreading, Sylvari quickly moved back to the area, conjuring a blizzard [Sheer Cold] without incantation [Winter Crown], which quickly snuffed the lingering flames.
The vampiress severed connection with the spell when her task was done, not wanting to draw further into her reserves of strength. It had been a few days since she had drank blood, and already the dark thirst flared within her breast. She definitely did not want to lose control so soon after revealing her true nature to Sarne.
"Well, I daresay that clears things up. Shall we go to the farmstead and share the good news?" Sylvari's smile was wide and easy as she affixed her half-veil once more, walking side by side with a new friend to deliver good news.
