AURA WINDS
Gender - agender, they/them
Age - 12
Race - Starfolk
Nationality - Moonglade, Stargazers Village
Appearance
Aura has wavy black hair that falls to their shoulders. Their hair seems to shimmer slightly in the light, although not very noticeable unless you're looking directly at it. Their skin is a dark gray, and they have midnight black splotches all over with multicolored "stars" on them. What looks like stars is just different colored freckles that are on the spots. They're also covered in glowing golden freckles on their normal skin. The freckles are on their face, shoulders, and arms. Aura's spots of black are all over their body, and are quite visible on their arms. They have eyes the color of the sun on a spring day, warm and friendly with the color of gold. Their hands are long and thin, fingers stretched out a bit longer than normal. Aura has a darker wardrobe, wearing a black shirt and gray pants. On top they wear a black cloak, the inside speckled with stars that form different constellations. They wear a gray scarf and navy blue gloves with richly-black boots and a gray beanie. Aura wears many rings they find pretty, and are often fidgeting with them.
Personality
They're a friendly person, maybe a bit overly friendly. Sometimes Aura gets incredibly chatty and struggles to contain their excitement for a conversation. They aren't very serious, and enjoy meeting new people. They consider anyone they talk to their friend, and get thoroughly disappointed when someone says they aren't friends. Aura sometimes goes into shut down mode when upset, and has to take a few minutes to calm down enough. Often, they will end up needing to excuse themselves for a bit or just leave without a word, and hopefully return later. They've got a love for rocks and wooden blocks, as well as gems. They always seem to have some of those on them, along with other random items they found cool or useful. Aura is pretty clueless and doesn't understand everything, but they're always giving their all. They love, or hate, random things and are terrified of cats. The way they can just become liquid creeps them out. They don't sleep a lot, and are a quick person. Talking fast, walking fast, learning fast, they're just fast. It comforts Aura to make little sound effects when doing things, and they struggle to talk if they can't move their hands in gestures.
History
Aura was born in Stargazers Village, to a small family. It was a friendly and peaceful home, and welcome to anyone. While uneventful, their home was perfect to them. It was cozy and warm, and made them feel happy. Aura enjoyed exploring in the fields nearby, and watching the stars at night. Aside from some struggles with figuring things out it was amazing to them.
One day, though, things changed from the routine. A man was in the field, and came up to Aura. They had a pleasant chat for a bit, before the man walked off. Aura went back to happily hanging out. Then the next day, he was there again. Had the same outfit, same striking red scarf. The two of them had a small chat and went on their ways. This continued for a couple weeks, having a chat before doing their own things.
After a couple weeks of this, however, the man started to show Aura fun places. Aura's parents weren't very pleased about this, but they couldn't stop the kid who thought they had finally made a great friend. Everything was great. Sometimes the man would bring Aura to this cool lake, where the water reflected the starlight perfectly. It was fun, these adventures! And they lasted for a couple months, before the man decided he had Aura's full trust.
But all good things come to an end. The man took Aura to the lake one day and gave a deal. They could join him and have these adventures forever! All their problems and worries would cease, and instead every day would be filled with joy and wonder. Aura nearly took the deal, until they decided they should tell their parents where they were going to go. So they told the man that, and he wasn't having it. He shoved Aura into the lake, and not being able to swim, they drowned in there.
The man tried to steal their soul, bring it with him, but the starfolk got them first. They pulled Aura's soul up through the clouds and into the stars, where they gave Aura a new name and they became one of the starfolk.
Aura has forgotten what Charon is like, and while they were intrigued by it they never were able to learn much. Recently, however, they went against the rules and tried to go back to Charon to learn about it. Once others found out, they meant to be punished for their actions.
Instead of facing what was surely going to be something bad, Aura ran away and fell back to Charon through the same way they had made. No one chased them, for that was breaking the rules. Instead, they closed the opening, and have banished Aura from there.
Now their journey begins, falling from the sky directly into the Zeinav desert.
