Taki didn't even have to see the expression to hear the pleading in Beist's voice. She sighed heavily and turned to give the man a stern look. Her avian eyes locked their gaze, giving Taki's already bizarre appearance a more alien feel. "No Beist, we don't... we don't need to be doing any of this... in fact, we shouldn't have gotten so bloody close in nothing but our swimming gear either. If you have a solution, then let's get to it... just know that if it fails, I'm not waiting any longer." Her voice was starting to sound agitated, something about being inside another creature's stomach was gnawing at the shaman's more primal instincts.
Guiding Beist back towards the stomach, she stopped a short ways away, pointing toward an arc of scorch marks on the floor. Ahead would be the Hydra, probably in a state of panic if it were still conscious. Above that was their goal, though how Beist planned too fight both the fish and the ocean to make that happen... well, to say Taki was skeptical would be an understatement. She could hear the Hydra's breathing not far away, so she conjured more Lights, come around the Hydra and the rest tossed upwards near their goal. Her head swiveled about, looking down the line of other magical motes for signs that the creature would begin digesting soon.

As massive as Beist was, he suddenly felt like shrinking down and disappearing. Taki was angry with him, and he deserved it. This trip was his idea. This whole situation was all his fault and now he was only making it harder to get out of it. Of course, he understood Taki's feelings. He didn't like being trapped in this giant monster's stomach either and he'd been entirely unhelpful the whole time. Taki was the one providing light with her magic, and Taki was the one who had scouted ahead to see the hydra. Beist had'nt done anything to help at all, just relying on her. He looked down guiltily, his ears and tail drooping.
"I'm sorry, I... I understand. I have a solution." He said quietly, looking toward the mouth and the hydra.
"It looks like the hydra tired itself out with all that struggling. We should be able to deal with it easily. Especially if... Well, I have a way of opening the mouth. It's not something I like to do, so I'd appreciate it if you kept it between us."
Beist backed up a bit, making some more room between him and Taki. With a sound like a cross between a growl and a groan, Beist hunched over as his whole body began to suddenly grow larger. His horns grew more antler like and his nose and mouth elongated into a tusked bear-like muzzle, his face growing grey fur. The spotted sharkskin hide gave way on the neck and shoulders as well as his four forearms to a thick grey fur. His torso grew disproportionately larger than his legs and his tail thickened at the base until his waist was nearly indistinguishable and his massive legs looked tiny compared to the rest of him. When his transformation was complete, his horns scraped the top of the stomach as he stood over 60 feet tall, arms and legs thick with even more muscle than usual.
"We need to hurry. With me this size, the stomach will probably begin digesting. Let's go!" Beist said as he held a hand out for Taki to get on and then ran toward the mouth.
The tuckered out hydra looked up as it heard the approach of the gigantic Beist, but it had no time to react before a huge hand came down on it and put an end to its suffering with a mighty smack and a booming "I'm sorry!" Beist winced as he crushed the poor hydra, but they had no time to try and save it. Ending it quickly was better than leaving it to be digested alive.
With that done, Beist found the seem in the rocky flesh that was the mouth. He was incredibly large, and was even stronger than he looked, but he still knew this would take all his strength. He couldn't spare a hand to hold Taki, and he couldn't leave her to be blasted away by the water that would surge in once he opened the mouth. He didn't think she'd be able to hold on to him on her own with the force of the water. No, there was only one thing he could think of under pressure, and he doubted she'd be happy about it.
"I hope you trust me." He said before he put Taki in his mouth and resisted the urge to chew or swallow. He shoved all four of his hands into the crack in the wall and began to pry it apart.
The Titan Stonefish's eyes opened wide as it suddenly felt its jaw being forced open against its will. Water began to flow into its mouth, as if it was sucking in a meal, but in this case the meal was actually attempting to escape. It tried to force its jaws closed, to keep this unruly meal in its stomach, but whatever it was wouldn't give up.
Beist growled and furrowed his brow as he struggled against the giant fish's jaw strength and the force of the seawater beating the front of him at the same time. He stepped one foot up onto the lower lip of the monster and then the other, practically trying to just step out of the fish's mouth. The force of the water trying to push him back was incredible, but he wouldn't give up. He had too many companions at home waiting for him, not to mention one currently held within his mouth. Mustering all his beastly strength, he pushed forward, emerging from the giant fish's mouth before turning and forcing it closed behind him.
The Titan Stonefish looked down at the escapee with crossed eyes and surprise. It didn't remember eating anything so large. Beist looked up at it one last time before quickly swimming far away while it was too stunned to attempt to pull him back in. When he was at a comfortable distance, he stopped and let out a sigh of relief.
"We did it Taki! We made it out!" He announced excitedly, looking around for the feathery companion and not seeing her anywhere. "Taki?"
Where was she? She hadn't been left behind in the fish's stomach had she!? No, he'd made sure to put her somewhere to assure that wouldn't happen! In his mouth- Oh. OH NO. Beist looked down at his stomach and started to panic. He immediately attempt to throw her back up, sticking a finger in his mouth to get himself to gag. Oh gods, how did this happen!? What could make him throw up? Jackfruit? No, he didn't have time to find some jackfruit! He wasn't going to stay this large that much longer, and he was in the middle of the ocean! He needed to get Taki out now! Ah, she'd trusted him! Presumably... Probably not anymore...

Taki was swept up in the man's haste, wondering how in the realm she went from one creature's gullet to another. She cast a Light on the situation and did her best to keep her limbs from the bubbling pit of acid suspended below. As soon as Beist surfaced and began trying to hack her up, she cursed under her breath. He bloody swallowed her... and for that he would understand the folly of his desire to fight with the elements themselves. Using all four hands, and bracing with her knees, her skin formed little stubby spikes for extra grip as she scaled the man's esophagus. Not one for waiting around and tired of this entire situation, Taki scaled the back of his throat and swan dived onto his uvula.
Gripping it firmly with her hands she swung about on the fleshy bulb as he started to wretch again. She let go, kicking herself forward and out of his mouth before diving deep into the water and swimming away to gain some distance between herself and the pair of hungry mouths intent on making her a meal. Taki surfaced, keeping most of her body submerged in case she needed to bolt and just stared at Beist. The relief she felt not being inside the giant Stonefish was overshadowed by Beist having swallowed her before they'd even finished the first predicament... had this been the plan all along? Why was Beist after her life? Why had he come up with this ill conceived outing in the first place? She watched Beist with a wary gaze, bobbing along the waves as questions ran through her mind.

Beist was considering whether it was a good idea to try punching himself in the gut when he suddenly felt a pain in his stomach that was spreading up his throat. He managed, against his body's reflexes, to not swallow. He had tried and failed to get himself to throw up, but now it felt like he couldn't stop himself from doing so as something hit his uvula. Finally, after a few moments, he coughed out a wary, but uninjured Taki.
Beist was incredibly relieved to see she was alright and he had indeed managed to smuggle her out of the Stonefish's stomach with him, albeit in a way that probably wasn't very comfortable for her. And now it was also uncomfortable for him as his throat ached from Taki's clawing her way back up it.
"Taki! Oh, thank goodness you're alright! We made it out of there." He said cheerfully, his voice a little hoarse as he rubbed his throat with one hand.
Still in his monstrously large, beastly form, he reached out two massive hands to attempt to pull her into a hug, not noticing how she seemed to be less than happy to be near him at the moment. He was just happy the two of them had gotten out unscathed.

The shaman dove deep, swimming down below Beist's ill conceived hug. She popped up out of the water further out of reach a few moments later, unsure how to deal with the situation before her. On the one hand, Beist had gotten them out... but in the process nearly made a meal of her. What in blazes was she to do about this? Could she trust him if his decisions were regularly this impulsive? There were too many questions about this situation and Taki recognized that she needed time to clear her head before moving forward.
"Yes Beist we did... thanks for that... at least the first part of it... being swallowed twice in one day is not something I plan to experience again." She paused, her tone was careful and calculated, not her usual motherly, wise voice. "When we get back to shore and compile our observations, we'll discuss this further... Until then, please respect my personal space." With that, she dipped down into the water and shifted into a Celestial Manta (similar to Hanehiko). She made haste back to shore, having had enough of the ocean and it's creatures for one day. She tried her best to focus on the rush of water, the elements around her, anything to take her mind off the frustration and myriad of questions as the shaman made her way back towards dry land.

Beist watched Taki swim away sadly. He'd really screwed this whole trip up. He couldn't even say anything to defend himself. Any words he could think of just became stuck in his aching throat. He'd gotten them both eaten, then eaten Taki himself. It was an accident of course, but he'd still done it.
Beist began to change back into his relatively smaller form, his beastly appearance reverting back to the more human and whale shark hybrid, his figure returning to his usual size. He started to swim back to land before his tonic wore off.
He wasn't eager to speak to Taki anymore. He'd been so excited for this trip and now he wished he'd never even suggested it. He should have just stayed home and done some more alchemical research.
On shore, Beist walked out of the water and onto the sand. His scaly hide shifted back to fuzzy fur as the tonic wore off. The hair on his head spread down to the rest of his face that grew more beast like.
"I'll write down my findings and send them to you later. I should get going. Sorry..." Beist said to Taki without looking toward her.
His form shifted again, transforming into a giant bird. He didn't wait for a reply as he took off, just wanting to leave this whole situation behind. Taki would be fine there with all her animal companions. Probably better off than with Beist there after today.

Taki watched Beist fly off, wondering if he'd ever choose to talk about it with her directly. In his own time, she thought as she gathered her things. Checking that her pack was secure, she returned to the island where her companions were in a somber and thoughtful mood. That afternoon, she prepared them all a meal and sat watching the waves crash into the shore. Her thoughts were as deep and unknown as the depths of the seas, but she understood that facing the unknown was how to grow and learn.
Night passed with the soft crackle of a campfire and the thrum of several warm, sleeping bodies huddled in a pile nearby. It wasn't often they all had space to sleep together, but her companions cherished the vacation and told the shaman all their various stories as they traveled back home the next day.
Taki checked in on the chores, then set about compiling her notes and observations. After finishing a copy and preparing it to be sent to Beist, Taki fixed a large dinner for her family. They ate in the stables together that evening before going about their evenings, some unwinding for the night, while others were rousing to the evening. Taki bid her companions good night and sat down with a heaped bowl on the porch, smoking it's pungent herb before heading off to bed herself a short while later.
