The construction of Hearthside Village was well on it's way, the help from many adventurers speeding up the process quite a bit, Arashi wanted to be a part of this too, there were many jobs that needed doing so he was sure to find something he could help with. There was a few construction jobs he could help with, while he had learnt a bit of that while beginning to build his house, it really wasn't his favorite task... So he kept looking for something else he could help with, there were a few more postings for gathering lumber, and another bunch for hunting and getting food. and while those were a bit more preferable than the building stuff, he wasn't the stealthiest person to approach prey, so he was leaning towards gathering firewood for the village.
He was still a bit unsure until he heard that there had been a few Goblin sightings near the places to gather Lumber, that could make it a bit more interesting, and he could also be of more use to the people here by getting rid of a threat... It was decided then he would go to Hearthside's Lumberyard help around and be on the lookout for any threats.
Arashi wondered who he might find over there since he heard many adventurers were helping with the construction of the village.

Vinzent wanted to help - He really did. There were no ulterior motives at all. Honestly, this town may not be worth much after all. But, if it were to suddenly boom, whether in tourism or domestic bases, it was good for him to know the secrets of the town. What better way than to help be part of building the secrets of the town?
Vinny made note of the many, many ways for him to be able to escape any trouble, once the city was on the up-and-up, as he helped gather lumber for the buildings. He wasn’t a buff man, by any means. He definitely didn’t look as strong as he actually was. It would surprise some as this rather scrawny boy was gathering whole logs by himself, though he was struggling quite a bit with it. Noticeably. While some of the other men were sort of laughing about it, the little boy didn’t quit. He did his job, pulling the logs into the wagon heading towards the areas that needed it.
Neither he nor the others were paying attention to the surrounding area. It wasn’t a very safe area. There had to be a few things lurking around…

As Arashi made his way to the lumberyard he didn't spot anything too odd at least at first, as he kept approaching the site he began feeling watched, while aware that something was going on he decided to act as if nothing was wrong, after all he didn't want the hunters to realize they had become prey, so he kept walking acting none the wiser to the creatures lurking in the shadows.
Once at the site he spotted several men who pretended to be tough and strong, making fun of a leaner, although stronger than you'd think, young man. They seemed to be the ones currently taking on this job chopping and collecting wood before transporting it back to the village, Arashi picked up a woodcutter's axe and began helping to gather some lumber, he was also relatively smaller than most of the muscleheads working this task so he naturally gravitated towards the kid. He didn't want to risk his quarry noticing something was up so he couldn't warn everyone, but the kid seemed smart, and he didn't want him to get hurt he seemed like he's had more than a few rough moments... "Don't worry about them, but also stay alert... I have a feeling things will not remain... Uneventful." He told Vinzent trying to not be overheard. He could only hope the kid took it seriously and didn't make a scene either.
Arashi would keep working for a while taking what wood he gathered to a big cart that they'd have to push to the village. For now things seemed fine but dusk was approaching and he knew that traps and ambushes worked better in the dark, and apparently so did the creatures.

Vinny was already completely ignoring the other men - What was the point of them teasing him anyways? It was them who were getting behind, after all. But when another man, a bit older, but also fairly lean and strong had slowly gravitated towards him, Vinny glanced over at him. He didn’t need his help, but the slight support was welcome.
He said something to Vinny, a little under his breath, but nonetheless something that Vinny could clearly hear. He just shrugs in response. Actually, Vinny hadn’t taken a thought towards the surrounding nature. This would sort of prompt him to glance over at the forest, only to catch glance of a goblin sneaking looks towards the taller, burlier men. He did sort of nudge the older man with him, and quietly point it out, but did not make much of an attempt to much else - There was no point in bringing attention to himself now, was there?
“D’you think something is gonna happen?” He questions. Vinny was a bit blind when it came to danger towards others - He was always more worried about himself. It wasn’t like he wanted anything bad to happen, though. Despite them being nothing more than bullies, he didn’t want to clear the whole forest by himself and - Well - he didn’t want danger coming to the new village.

As the kid asked Arashi whether he thought something was gonna happen, Arashi nodded slightly "They might be laying an ambush... And while dangerous I'd rather wait till they attack. Otherwise some will flee and come back later, and that would be... Troublesome." He kept working, and as the sun began to set it seemed the Goblins were ready for their ambush.
Arashi didn't look around, they'd get wary if he did instead he just concentrated on hearing, if he was alert enough he'd be able to... There! He ran towards one of the bigger men as He heard an Arrow being released from a bow, the telltale snap of the string releasing it's tension, was enough to cue him in as he began unsheathing his sword, the man Flinched a bit as he saw Arashi running towards him while drawing his sword, The man blinked, Arashi knocked the arrow out of the air with a flick of his wrist, at that point the Goblins began Charging at the group
"Everyone! Stay together! don't let them pick you off one by one!" As the Goblins charged so did Arashi, with a bullet dash he sped past one, a slash almost faster than the human eye could see taking the closest goblin's head off with a clean cut. he stopped in front of 2 one of them swung it's makeshift axe at him the other flinched and hesitated, Taking out his wakizashi he deflected the axe to the side before stabbing the Goblin in the temple, and slashing at the other with a downwards motion of his Katana.
The archers began shooting at him, a few others armed with spears and javelins threw them at him he pushed all the projectiles aside with a gust of wind from the Push/pull spell, he dropped his weapons and summoned his lightning spear, throwing it as it became a lightning bolt piercing one of the archers chest, meanwhile he used his other hand to cast lightning bolt at the other archer it stopping it's heart.
"I can take care of them! You guys protect the equipment and stay safe!" He yelled at the group, he hoped the Goblins would focus on him but it won't always be the case.
