Javal was having a lot of fun today so far he and Ak’ka just so happened to be at the same tavern in Sol City at the same time.
He saw her sitting at the bar counter drinking some booze he sat next to her and with a cheery tone said, “Hello there friend Ak’ka I wasn't expecting to see you here how're you doing my friend. Hopefully not fighting anymore crazy powerful wizard cultists without me”, he chuckles as he says the last part.
“So how have you been my friend? Gotten any stronger? Seen any rumors or clues on those cultist wizards? What do you think of some of the recent news that's been going on in Charon?”.
After they finished catching up and drinking booze together for a bit they decided to hit the town and check out the market district for some information about the mad wizards as well as just shopping for cool stuff.
They looked at some decent stores nothing too crazy or eye-catching but suddenly the two adventurers were beckoned into an alley by a loud and charming voice
Javal entered hurriedly curious about what this random alley person could be offering he followed the voice into a huge stall that filled the alley itself.
He looked around the stall to find the voice until he heard, “Hey down here”, and looked down to see a flying fairy in a suit.
“Oh delightful you can see me now sweeties. Sorry to interrupt your shopping but little old me thought you two looked like big and strong adventurers who looked like they needed some potions”, she says in the sweetest nicest tone.

There was no denyin’ that Ak’ka was a big gal. She towered a good few feet over most folks, with some exceptions - Izzy and Beist came to mind. The only folks she’d met who met her in size and stature. But usually, she towered over all. A beast, and she looked it. Walked around with purpose, a stride and a stomp. People gave her a wide berth, too terrified to cross the hulking Orc woman and learn her fury. Not that she minded. Didn’t bother her any that people thought she was scary. Ak’ka was scary. Still. When you were used to people running from you in terror, it was really damn weird when someone approached you for once. Ak’ka’s head snapped up in a glower when she heard footsteps approachin’ - only to brighten Jen she saw who it was. “Oh, shit, Javal!” She grinned, smacking the fellblood on the back. “How ya doin’, slugger?” It’s been a bit since she saw the swordsman. They’d gone their separate ways after the fight with Carmine, but it was a friendly meeting. She was damn happy to see him again, that was for sure. She thought the naïveté he called honor was pretty funny, but he had the skills to back it up. They started makin’ small talk, whatever came to mind. Mostly about fighting. And wizards. She shrugged when he asked if she’d gotten any stronger. “I mean, I guess? I hit a pretty nasty growth spurt after we met.” He couldn’t see it now, but he would when she stood up - she’d shot up from seven feet tall to ten feet. “And nah. I’m not super caught up with what’s been happening. I’ve mostly been stickin’ to myself, beating the hell outta bastards, you know the drill. Why, somethin’ been happening lately? Hopefully the world isn’t endin’.” She added with a laugh. She downed the rest of her drink, followin’ Javal while he did his shopping. She didn’t really need much, but she didn’t mind hangin’ around for a little bit. That was somethin’ nice about her life after she’d left the mountains. Spending time with friends. They weren’t really doing much - just chilling, relaxing, when a small, high-pitched voice interrupted them. Ak’ka stopped, lookin’ down when she spotted a real tiny gal in fancy clothing approaching the two of them. Whoa. She ain’t ever seen anyone that small. What were they called again? Oh, yeah. The fae. What was she doin’ here, trying to sell them potions? The entire thing reeked of fish, and Ak’ka was a red meat eater. She grunted, waving her hand to shoo the pest away. Her first instinct was to snap at the little seller, but Javal was here, and she didn’t wanna go all ballistic in front of him. He was real nice. So instead, she only grunted, “Not interested. Don’t need no potions. Thanks, though.” Quest Name: Honey, someone shrunk the heroes Participants: Two or more Location: Anywhere Post Requirements: 5 post per person, 200 words per post Reward: +1 Renown Description: Charon has been plagued with counterfeit potions over the past few months, the Golden Consortium doing its best to put a stop to the production of these fake elixars. However, as one operation is put to an end, three more pop up, making it a gamble to buy potions from any source at this point. You have found yourself the victim of one of these fake potions, thinking it to be a potion or drink of some other kind. Unfortunately, its a fake, made somewhere in a back alley by scoundrels. Instead of the potion having its intended affect, it has instead shrunk you and anyone you shared the drink with, making you the size of an ant. The effects of this potion will only last for four post, making you normal size after its duration, however, you will have to survive in a massive world filled with giant bugs and plants all prepared to kill you. The task is simple, don't die.

The well-dressed fairy lady’s face turned into a scowl for a second as she heard Aka's response and it shifted back into the bright smile she had on before, “Oh that’s fine some adventurers don’t need them and of course, it’s my pleasure I’m thankful you even looked in my direction for even a second”.
Javal smiled in glee at seeing the fae trying to approach the two adventurers and sell them potions he responded in two, “Sure miss what potions do you offer?”.
The face giggled in excitement, “Great to see that at least one of you has good taste in shopping for adventurer’s gear. She waved them towards her giant stall as she sat down in a small little chair on her table.
Javal walked over two steps to stand in front of the giant stall, “Woah”, he exclaims looking around at her wares, “This stall has like everything”, he was mesmerized by the fae’s great selection.
There are about two hundred potions all neatly organized throughout the stall and the fae lady laughs, “Of course, we here at Radiant Industries strive to be the very best in the market. Now let me look for the perfect potion for you I have an idea of what to give you just from your personality already”.
She then zooms into the back and loud noises of drawers being opened and closed are heard as well as clinks of glass before she comes out with a large flask of bright blue potion.
“Here is a giant potion with this baby you can grow even taller than that mean orc lady there”, she points at Ak’ka and says, “You know what? How about I give you two a free taste just so you can see the quality of my product as well as just being a very nice guy”, she then serves up the potion into two small wine glasses and flies to both of the adventurers handing them their drink.
As Javal smells it he is surprised to smell nice flowers and peppermint odor in the potion, he then looks over at Ak’ka and holds his drink out to clink it. After that, he says, “Bottoms up”, and chugs the potion in one shot.

Now, don’t get her wrong. Ak’ka wasn’t normally the distrustful type. If someone had the balls to scam her, then, well, that was only their own damn problem when they had to suffer the punishment. And this little lady, she’d be turned ‘ta paste under one of Ak’ka’s fists, no problem. One of the perks of being strong. Most everyone was too scared to mess with you, and when they tried… well, it was an easy fix.
Only reason she was so up in arms right now was ‘cus she didn’t wanna see Javal taken advantage of.
She frowned, crossing her arms when she noticed the tiny gal’s change in attitude. It was slight, but you didn’t cover up that kinda hate in a matter of seconds. It was like a stain. “Oi, Slugger, don’t bother with whatever this lady’s peddlin’. If she’s comin’ up to us to sell her shit, it’s probably nothin’ good-“
And, there he was going, already followin’ her to her stall. Great.
Ak’ka grunted, shoving her hands in her pockets before following after. She wasn’t ‘boutta let the poor guy get scammed out of his hard earned pocket change, and this sugar-sweet fae lady was giving her a bad feeling.
And what the hell was Radiant Industries?
Nah, she didn’t like this one bit. Her frown was growing deeper as the shady lady started pourin’ them free samples, acting all nice and shit. Was Javal seriously falling for this schtick? Seemed like it. He was one of those people that was so kind they didn’t comprehend that others could be evil. And he looked so damn excited as he got the free sample from the fae…
Ak’ka shrugged. Oh, what the hell? If this was poison or somethin’, then she’d just shrug it off and tell him I told ya so while she dragged his ass to a healer. Ak’ka picked up one of the cups before glowering at the fae.
“If this is poison, I’m gonna make your ass regret it. Got it?” She challenged, before drinking the other cup.
Well. The good news was that she didn’t die.
The bad news was that she didn’t have the chance to threaten that fairy anymore because the world was gettin’ real big around her.
“What the-?” Ak’ka said, only to stop when she realized that somethin’ weird was happening to her voice. It was… higher. When she looked over at Javal, the same thing was happening to him. The two were hurtling closer and closer towards the ground, until they were smaller than kids, smaller than cats, smaller than insects. Didn’t even stop as Ak’ka looked up at the fairy, who was waving down at them with a saccharine-sweet smile on her face.
“Enjoy the ride.” She cackled.

The fairy woman in well-dressed attire cackles and squizzles in the air as she looks down to see Javal and Ak’ka had been shrunken.
She struggles to hold in her laughter even holding her stomach before straightening herself up and floating above the two.
“Sorry, adventurers I was gonna give you two a nice potion that could’ve helped you on your travels but as soon as I saw Ms. Ten Foot tall here my rage overtook me. Not only have you committed the crime of being taller than me but also you were mean to me which is also illegal. Your punishment is death by tiny. Now be gone fools and die like the absolute trash that you are".
She then giggles before pointing her finger at the giant stall behind her and says, “Dofl” and suddenly it folds into itself before changing into a small briefcase fit for her size.
She then floats in the air and waves her hand goodbye, “Toodles dead adventurers this is a lesson in being tall Bye have a wonderful death”, as she flies away.
Javal sighs loudly as he is finally able to process what just happened he turns to Ak’ka as he sits down on the street, “I’m sorry Ak’ka this is my fault I should’ve been more careful about trusting potions from strangers I’ve never met”.
He then stands back up and says, “Ak’ka I swear to you on my life and honor as a swordsman that I will find a way to get us back to normal”.

“Oi, what the hell?” Ak’ka shouted, shaking her fist in the air at the fairy. “You get yer ass back here and let me pound it to the ground!” As the fairy flew away, Ak’ka reached for the tree on her back, launching a volley of pine needles to try ‘n pierce her wings and knock that smarmy look off her face.[1] Unfortunately, she didn’t think ‘bout the fact that being tiny would make her attacks less powerful, too. The minor annoyance hit her in the back as she left them behind, two tiny adventurers in a suddenly big world.
“What the hell?” Ak’ka repeated again, eloquently. She turned to Javal, raising her hands in the air. “I told ya not to drink potions from shady ladies, Slugger, now we’re all tiny! Look at me! Is this what it’s like bein’ short? It sucks!”
She stopped, though, when she saw little Javal sittin’ down on the street and getting all sad. Shit, he was really upset about this, wasn’t he? Ak’ka stopped yelling, crossing her arms. What was she supposed to do about this now? Here they were, six and ten inches tall, and Ak’ka was the only one here to help him feel better when he was feelin’ guilty.
Ugh.
So, uh. How did people comfort others?
Ak’ka stepped up to Javal, patting him on the shoulder. “Look, man, I ain’t really upset. We’re still alive, ain’t we? We can still figure a way out of this. ‘S long as we can still put one foot in front of the other, we can still fight. We survived the Deadwoods, we can survive this. Come on.”
Without waiting for another word, she picked Javal up and slung the little guy over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She mighta been weaker than she was at her normal height, but she could still lift him easy enough.
“Alright. Uh. We should probably find somewhere safe to hide first huh?” The people of the city were still movin’ around them, and everything was so loud and overwhelming that it was makin’ her ears hurt. They needed to get the hell outta here before they were squished. Ak’ka hated it with the white-hot fury of a thousand suns, but they had to focus on gettin’ outta here first. She could kick that fairy’s ass later. 1. Tree

Javal nodded as he felt Ak’ka’s hands on his shoulder and he listened to her words of wisdom as he was then suddenly thrown into the air.
He then clapped his cheeks with his hands, shook his head out of his mental roadblock and said, “You’re right Ak’ka I shan't get bogged down by a silly failure. I must look towards the future and figure out how we can return to normal”.
He then places his finger on his chin as he continues to be carried by Ak’ka thinking of what they could do, “Hm, well there's most likely no chance we can find that fairy businesswoman lady anymore since when can fly and probably has left to do gods knows what. Maybe we can find some sort of alchemist or potions stall in the market. I'm sure we can find one at least. I think I saw one or two of them while on our way here".
Javal then pointed outside of the alley and towards the end of it, “First things first we gotta get out of here and into the streets to search”.
As he finished pointing he heard a loud rushing movement land behind them before he could tap Ak’ka to move him so he could see behind them he heard a large roar that echoed in his ears.
“Man whatever this thing is it has to be one of the most menacing and dangerous beasts ever”, he thinks to himself.

At least Javal wasn’t sad for long. Good. The situation was already sucky enough without him being upset, and Ak’ka was ‘bout as sensitive when it came to feelings as a bull in a China shop. She kept the fellblood over her shoulder while he problem solved.
“Yeah, ain’t no chance of us finding that she-witch now that she’s gone.” Ak’ka snorted derisively. “Fair fucker can fly, making our chances of catching her while we’re as big as rats pretty much nil. She’d better hope I don’t catch her when we get big again, though.”
Oh, if they crossed paths again… well, there was a good chance that fairy would end up the same consistency of the potions she sold.
Revenge could wait. Didn’t even matter if they couldn’t find a way to fix themselves.
“Right. You lead the way, and I’ll get us there…”
What was that noise.
Slowly, she craned her neck, only to catch sight of a white, fuzzy figure, large paws, and a dripping maw of pearly-white fangs.
Ak’ka’d fought big baddies before, monsters that would make any adventurer worth half their salt shit their pants in fear. There’d been the big dragon in the Deadwoods, giants and beasts that her enemies hurled at her in an attempt to be the one to fell the Bonegrinder. And now, she was so tiny that somehow a fuckin’ housecat felt more horrifying than all of ‘em combined.
“Uh.” She grunted, eyes wide. “Nice kitty?”
The cat responded with a meow that made her bones shiver in her body.
Ak’ka didn’t even hesitate. “Hang on tight Javal!” She screamed as the cat lunged, slinging Javal over her shoulder ‘til she was holding him by his wrists - and immediately began whipping around, spinning and throwing Javal into the side of the cat’s face before it could eat them. The cat recoiled, hissing as Ak’ka spun around; Javal, her human weapon.[1] 1. The Wheel

Javal’s eyes finally gaze upon the furious beast that the two of them are facing. What normally looked like an adorable cat currently looked like rugged feline beasts with large sharpened white teeth that were hungry for them.
He then suddenly was thrown over Ak’ka’s shoulders and grabbed by his wrists, “Ak’ka what”, he could only manage to yell before he was spun and thrown at the cat’s face.
He hit its head hard as it recoiled and tapped its face in anger.
Javal quickly got up and held his head with his arm, “Ow” before suddenly looking at a charging cat about to trample him.
He quickly jumped in the air to avoid it before yelling, “Ak’ka watch out and landing on the giant cat’s back facing backwards to the alley behind him.
He quickly flipped his body around to face forward as he grabbed onto the cat’s ear trying to hold it off from Ak’ka.
“Hear, kittie, kittie, please calm down, we’re friends just lost from home please help us”, Javal said earnestly not wanting to hurt the cat.
The cat let out a loud growl as it tried shaking Javal off of it, and eventually slammed its back onto the wall knocking Javal off.
He held his hand in the air as he rose from the ground slowly and said, “Ak’ka I have an idea why don’t we use this fellow as our ride towards the alchemists. It’ll be faster and safer than just the two of us running around in such a dangerous situation.

She finished the spin and threw Javal to the ground - the dizzy fellblood picked himself up and flipped on top of the rampaging kitty, tugging at its ears like reins on a rampaging horse.
Huh. That actually gave Ak’ka… an idea.
The thought occurred to her at the same time Javal was knocked off the stray cat.
“Oh, yeah.” Ak’ka grunted. For the first time since they’d found themselves in this shitty situation, she looked… almost excited. Feral. “I’m about to make this cat my bitch.”
She pulled the tree from her back once more, waving it in the air before taking off, putting some distance between her and Javal, tryin’ to get the fur ball to follow her. “Here, kitty, kitty!” She called, moving the tree back and forth like a toy.
The cat’s eyes immediately went as wide as full moons. It let out a rumble from the back of its throat, probably a purr. But at this size, it felt like an ominous growl. But its attention was fixed on the funny, swaying thing rather than Ak’ka and Javal.
It pulled itself onto its back haunches, wiggling back and forth - and in a second, it pounced on its prize, pawing and batting ferociously at it where Ak’ka moved it.
“Huh. Ain’t so scary when it’s like this.” Ak’ka said, eyebrows raised. “Bet we could use this tree to guide it where we need to go. You said ya saw another alchemist around this market? Get yer ass over here, slugger. We got a problem to fix.”
She waited for Javal to jump on the cat before climbing up its white fur herself and leading it off to find help.

Javal stood up trying to stand at his full height to scare the dangerous and terrifying beast that was the average sized house cat. He thought he remembered that it worked on bears, or was it tigers? No? What was it? Well it didn’t matter because surely this had to work. He held his hands high in the air and started making low growls trying to further intimidate the little beast.
Javal then looked confused as Ak’ka mentioned making the beast her own but was soon both surprised and mesmerized by the genius trick that she pulled with her tree. Javal’s eyes then widened as he saw the ferocious feline foe immediately turn into a cute and cuddly kitten at the sight of the “playtoy”.
Javal then held out an audible, “Awwww”, before coughing and saying, “Yes well although I would love to play with this kitty more we have some size to change”.
He then jumps on the distracted and playful cat's back and waits for Ak’ka to lead the two out of the alley and toward the cure for their shrinkage. After the curious cat booked it out of the alley Javal had to hold on tightly to the feline's back but soon almost lost his grip as he was barely able to hold onto its tail.

“Yep- she ain’t gonna be so scary when we’re back to our regular heights.” Ak’ka patted the kitty’s side while Javal climbed up and they set off. Didn’t take long for the fighter to nearly get dislodged from the cat’s back as the beast charged in the direction of the market, lookin’ for the alchemist that could fix them.
“Oh, shit.” Ak’ka turned to glance at the fellblood fighter hanging on ta the cat’s tail for dear life, raising her eyebrows. They couldn’t stop the beast now that she’d started - and Ak’ka couldn’t stop driving this wagon now that it had started.
Hell. She was gonna have to figure out a way to get him back on this cat.
She patted the beast’s rumbling flank, an idea occurin’ to her. It was kinda silly to admit, but Ak’ka usually stopped to pet the stray kitties back home in Frostgale, knew how to make them tick. And that included how to give a cat love and attention in a way that the little fluffy, finicky bastards liked. Leaning back, Ak’ka began scratching at the cat’s hind, the spot right above the tail.
“Good kitty! Good kitty!”
The cat immediately began purring even louder, its tail sticking straight up as Ak’ka pet its back. That was what she’d been hopin’ for. Now, instead of hangin’ behind, Javal was right above her - if he were gonna fall, she’d be able to catch him at this rate.
“Come on, bud! I won’t let ya fall!” Ak’ka called, holding out her second set of hands to catch him if he’d drop.
Meanwhile, the cat trotted through the market as happy as a clam, when it caught the scent of something interesting. It wasn’t sure what the smell was, but the cat was fascinated. It started trotting in the direction of a stall at the end of the street, one that had a buncha sage and herbs hanging from the top of its stall. An alchemist? Ak’ka sure hoped so. She wanted to be back to her real size as soon as possible.

Javal was barely holding onto the kitty’s tail trying not to let go and fall hard onto the ground, he tried to pull himself forward but found no success. All he was able to do was just hold on for dear life as the kitty continued to sprint onwards. Suddenly as Javal kept holding on as hard as he could he was lifted into the air quickly so fast that he almost flew forward.
“Well it appears this may be worse than hanging onto the kitty’s tail”, he thought as he looked down to see Ak’ka, he waved at her before suddenly falling into her second set of arms.
He quickly said, “Thank you so much friend Ak’ka it appears that our feline friend here has already managed to find the alchemist’s stall that I saw earlier during my shopping”.
After a couple of minutes, the cat fellow braced its body sitting upwards making the two adventurers grab for dear life before jumping onto the stall counter. As it sat up and let the adventurers slide off of her back and onto the counter, Javal pets the back of her head causing her to rumble and purr.
The fellblood then looks around trying to spot any signs of the alchemist he saw earlier before turning behind him to see a giant pair of eyes staring him and Ak’ka down.

The guy lookin’ down at them definitely seemed like an alchemist. The man had a pair of round glasses on his nose and a bunch of bottles of spooky looking things on his waist, complete with a leather apron with a couple of acid burns that’d worn through the sturdy material. He blinked down at the two tiny adventurers - Ak’ka tensed as a giant palm ambled towards them with the slow speed of a giant, anticipating a swat or attack from some near-sighted codger who couldn’t even tell shrunken adventurer from insect.
But then he moved to pet the kitty, and Ak’ka forced herself to relax, anger replaced with confusion. What the hell was going on here?
In lieu of answering her silent demands, the old coot continued to pet the kitty, leaning down to get a closer look at the teeny half-Orc and fellblood.
“Mitsy… what have you brought me now? They certainly don’t look like rodents.”
“Oi!” Ak’ka shrieked, still embarrassed at how high-pitched her voice sounded at this size. “We ain’t rats! You need to get yer eyes checked, stodgy chemist!”
The alchemist recoiled, snow-white brows widening on his wrinkly forehead.
“They certainly don’t sound like rats, either. In fact… oh, you two have been targeted by that nasty pixie, haven’t you? Mitsy must have smelled the traces of potion on you. I’ve been brewing antidotes all week for people who’ve run afoul of that capricious trickster and she’s gotten quite used to the stench.” He chuckled. “Nevertheless. Give me a moment to fetch the potions for you. It must be quite harrowing to be stuck at that size.”
As he walked away, Ak’ka turned to give Javal a tusk-bared smirk. “See, Slugger? Told ya we’d be back to normal, pronto.” She said, like this had been her plan all along.

Javal almost was about to take out his blade and ready himself for a fight as he looked over to see the giant pair of eyeballs in front of him. He quickly calmed himself down as the fellow wanted to pet the adorable cat that had saved their lives.
“Aw your name is Misty, Isn’t it little kitty'', Javal cooed now petting the cat with his arms lost in the cuteness before shaking his head and walking back to where Ak’ka was.
He then bowed towards the alchemist’s face and said, “Yes indeed good sir, that horrible woman tricked me and my dear friend here and shrunk us down to the size of ants. I am ever so thankful that you have taken mercy on us and are turning us back to our normal heights”
As the alchemist goes back into his wares Javal turns to face Ak’ka and says, “You were completely right my friend I shall never doubt you again even though I had complete faith in you. Our returning to normal is within view. I thank thee for your quick thinking and knowledge of cats, speaking of Ak’ka how did you know what to do back there when I was about to get thrown off it’s tail?”.
As the two continued to speak the alchemist came out with a small cup with a yellow color of liquid he placed it next to the two and said, “Alright there little fellows all you have to do to get back to normal is to just take a sip of that antidote and you’ll be back to your original heights”.
Javal turns to Ak’ka and asks, “So my friend, who are we going to drink this potion with? It does seem a decent height compared to us even though it's so small in reality”.
