Lloyd's Field Guide to Charon Llloyd has spent his life studying and researching the various kinds of monster life that lives in Charon. He scours the world looking for the most rare, or dangerous creatures, recording their habits and attempting to understand them more. You can participate in any of the Lloyd Field Guide quest below, but must have started your topics before December 1st.

Lloyd's Field Guide to Ooze Lloyd is a smart, eccentric and kind of goofy monster hunter and considered Charon's leading expert on all things slimy, oozy and sticky. He has spent the last couple of years creating a field guide on one of Charon's most undiscovered creatures, but is now in need of help. To complete his guide, a ton of field work and data is needed, and he can not do it on his own. Lloyd is now reaching out to brave, or crazy, adventurers to assist him in finishing the guide. He has agreed to reward those foolish enough to help with the random and odd things he has created or discovered during his time researching the Ooze. This is a limited time event where you the member can partake in a single Quest chain, helping out Lloyd in his goal of finishing his field guide. Once the quest chain is completed you will gain access to an exclusive shop that is only open for the brief duration of this event. This event will run till the end of the Fall season, closing on December 1st. A Slimy Quest Chain Research Slimes and Oozes - Reward = 2 Renown and Access to Shop Lloyd needs you to venture out into the wild and complete a series of research studies on slimes and oozes across the continent. While this may seem like an easy task, these creatures are still pretty unknown, possessing unique abilities and features that we still dont fully understand. It could turn out to be very dangerous. Quest Name: The creation of Oozes Chapter: One Description: Where these creatures come from is still very much a mystery to us. We have yet to witness an Ooze being created. Do they give live birth, hatch from eggs or just bud off from one another. We need you to venture deep into one of the many forest in Charon, locate an Ooze and attempt to witness how new ones come into this world. However we are not the only ones after information on the creature. A group of monster hunters have set out to rid the world of these creatures and will attempt to stop new ones from being created. Requirements:- Requires at least two people (you and one other ) - You must make at least 5 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words - Must locate and witness an Ooze being created without disturbing the creature. (They Bud from each other) - Must protect the Ooze from a group of 5 monster hunters trying to kill it - Once you complete this mission you gain access to chapter two. (which needs to be a separate topic) Quest Name: Mold on the walls Chapter: Two Description: We have received a report from a local tavern owner that an ooze has taken up home in the cellar of the establishment. It is causing issues for the owner and disturbing its guest, spoiling goods and lashing out at people. We need you to venture to one of the taverns or inns in Charon and SAFELY remove the creature from the building. It might strike out at you and try to defend itself, so you may need to fight, but please dont kill the creature, and instead remove it from the premises without too much harm. Requirements:- Requires at least two people (you and one other) - You must make at least 5 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words - Must Fight off and quell the angry Ooze - Must find a way to remove it from the building without killing it - Once you complete this mission you gain access to chapter three. (which needs to be a separate topic) Quest Name: Oozegon Trail Chapter: Three Description: A massive elder Ooze has been spotted moving through out Charon, and leaving behind a massive trail of acidic, toxic slime in its wake. Many hunters and scholars have been using this trail to track the elder creature in the attempt to study it, however there has been no luck in ding the beast so far. Unfortunately a group who was studying the Ooze have found themselves trapped in the trail of slime and are unable to get out. The trail is 20 feet wide, a foot deep and extremely acidic, beginning to eat away at their clothing. We fear the scholars will die and any information they have gathered on the Elder Ooze will vanish with them. We need you to rescue them secure their data. Requirements:- Requires at least two people (you and one other) - You must make at least 6 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words - Must rescue the scholars from the slime trail - Must not get stuck and die yourself - Once you complete this mission you gain access to chapter four. (which needs to be a separate topic) Quest Name: Elder Ooze Chapter: Four Description: The Elder Ooze has been located in the Marsh Flats, but it is a massive beast, a Extreme danger level creature with a nasty attitude. If we are going to be able to study it further, we need help in subduing it. Thats where you come in! Before it can be studied it needs to be weakened and put into a calm state. While we are normally against violence against these wild animals, sometimes it is needed. You must combat the Ooze, survive, and weaken it enough so that our researchers can study it further. But please do not kill the Elder Ooze! Requirements:- Requires at least two people (you and one other) - You must make at least 7 post to complete the mission with each post being at least 200 words - Must defeat the Elder Ooze without killing it - Once you complete this mission you have completed this quest chain. (which needs to be a separate topic) Ooze Shop Closes December 1st Item | Description | Price | Lloyds Ooze Badge | Reward for helping Lloyd work on his guide, can be displayed in your inventory or signature. | Free | Acid Spray | This spell allows you to spew acid out from your mouth, shooting out in a stream or spray up to 10 feet in front of your face. The spray itself deals very little damage, causing exposed flesh to burn and tingle for two post. However the spray is extremely effective at coating the face and eyes, making it hard to see or breath until removed. The affected target must use a hand to wipe the spray from their face before they can see or breath again. | 35 Solars | Wall of Ooze | By raising a free hand you cause a thick wall of slimy ooze to rise up from the ground. The wall is 20 feet long, 10 feet high and 2 feet thick, made out of solid ooze. The wall will stay stationary for three post, sitting there to defend you or block the path of another. Any physical attack, spell or martial, will get stuck inside the wall, either disappaiting or freely floating until the wall vanishes. Likewise, anyone trying to move through the wall will find their movement cut in half, causing them to slowly push their way through the wall. | 25 Solars | Oozeling | A small round glass bottle, able to fit on your hip or in a bag. Inside of this bottle rest a baby Ooze, only 6 inches in diameter. This ooze lives inside of the bottle and will not come out for any reason. However it will consume anything you drop inside of the bottle, completely dissolving any kind of material, from wood to metal. If dumped out or upside down, the ooze will remain inside, but remains of if will spill out, dissolving and burning very small holes in objects. These holes can only be baseball sized. | 25 Solars | Slime Core (Crafting Material) | The core of a dead Ooze, slimy, sticky and acidic to the touch. This material can be used in our crafting system. When combined with another material it will create a sticky, acidic item able to stick and burn through other objects. | 20 Solars | Slimy Hands | This spell coats both of your hands and/or feet in a sticky slime like substance. This allows you to stick to solid surfaces, like walls and prevents you from being knocked down or prone for its duration. If you are holding an item while this spell is active the item can also not be pulled or knocked out of your hand, allowing you to retain a firm grasp on the item. This can also be used to stick to your enemies weapons and yank them right out of their hands, disarming them. Last for two post and can only be used twice per topic. | 35 Solars | Toxic Cloud | By clapping both hands together you cause a cloud of acid like mist to rise from the ground around you, with you at its center. The cloud spreads out to ten feet in all directions from you, but will not move with you, remaining in place for its duration. This cloud is hazy but will not completely block vision. Anyone stuck inside of the cloud will find their eyes burning and every breath painful. For each post they remain inside of the mist the effects will get worse. This spell last for three post. | 35 Solars | Rubber Whip | After touching your palms together, you cause a thick, slimy green whip of ooze to form. This whip is 10 feet long and can be used much like a normal whip, able to slap enemies and deal blunt damage. However this whip is very sticky, allowing it to remain attached to its target or even a surface for the next post. This whip can be pried off with force. Because of its consistency the whip can not be cut through or destroyed. The whip will remain formed for three post. | 30 Solars | Acid Bubble | You form a basketball sized ball of sticky acid in your hands, which can then be thrown at an enemy or location. The blob deals a medium amount of acid (dark) damage, burning and eating away at flesh and weak material like fabric or cloth. When the blob collides with a surface or an object, it will burst, spraying acid in all directions within a five foot area. This acid will coat anything it touches and will deal minor burns. | 30 Solars |
Goo Puddle | You cause a medium amount of slime to drip down your legs, coating the ground with a puddle of Ooze. The puddle will only be 5 feet in diameter, but will remain until the end of the topic. Anyone who steps in this puddle will find themselves stuck to the ground, unable to move from that location or pull whatever is stuck out. They will be stuck for their entire next post, and can pull themselves free the post after. | 20 Solars |

Lloyd's Field Guide to the BogabooA Bogaboo is a creature often used in cautionary tales told to little children to keep them from wandering into the swamps at night else they wish their skulls be added to a Bogaboo's collection. Bogaboos are accursed amalgamations of skeletons from bodies that were improperly disposed of, left to rot and fester until they became one with a malevolent nature spirit. Lloyd has been studying these creatures, trying to understand how they form and what goals they may have after obtaining life. So far things have not been going well. Llloyd tries to give most creatures the benefit of the doubt, as often they are just misunderstood. The Bogaboo is different though, and so far has just proven to be a violent and malicious monster. Lloyd is asking for help from local heroes and adventurers and needs assistant with studying and researching the Bogaboo. He is asking others to go deep into the swamps of Marsh Flats and get as close to a Bogaboo as you can. Caution can not be stressed enough as these things are devious, sly, sneaky and really good and ambushing its prey. One spooky set of quest
You can complete these three quest in any order, but all three of them need to be completed before gaining access to the event's shop. You can do these individually or together in a single topic. If all three parts are done in the same topic, you must complete each individual quest's requirements, including word and post counts. This event will run till the end of the Fall season, closing on December 1st. However you can still continue topics and purchase items from the shop after the event closes as long as the topics have been started before the deadline. Quest Name: Into the Marsh Participants: Two or more Location: Marsh Flats Post Requirements: 4 post per person, 200 words per post Description: You have been asked by Lloyd to venture into the swamp and study a Bogaboo, however the trip has already started off rough. A thick mist has settled across the region making your trip into the swamp even more difficult than normal. The first part of your task is to simply find your way. After getting lost in the dangerous bog, you need to find an area that resembles some sort of safety, and set up camp. This venture may take you a few days, or even weeks, so you need somewhere safe to set up and stay at for a little while.
Quest Name: Calls in the night Participants: Two or more Location: Marsh Flats Post Requirements: 4 post per person, 200 words per post Description: A night or two into your search, you begin to hear voices coming from the woods, but only at night. These voices are faint and far, but are calling out for you! You can occasionally hear your name being beckoned into the void of the swamp, and while this would normally be enough to send you running the other way, you know this is the work of a Bogaboo, the very thing you are after. So, to do your job, you trek out into the swamp hoping to find this mysterious monster. But its a very elusive creature and finding it comes with it's own obstacles. Mud, bugs, thick vines, thorny bushes and more stand between you and your goal.
Quest Name: Ambushed! Participants: Two or more Location: Marsh Flats Post Requirements: 5 post per person, 200 words per post Description: Well you found the Bogaboo, or it found you! In the dead of night the undead amalgamation has sprung, using the darkness and mist as a cover. You are now in a fight for your life. Defend yourself, fight hard and bring down the ominous Bogaboo!

| A glass vial of bog water from the deepest swamps of the Marsh Flats. This bog contains a foul stench that, when released, creates a malodorous fog so potent that all enemies within the immediate area lose concentration and have to deal with an awful stench. For the next two post anyone who can smell the odor can not cast Master or Exalted level spells and any smell buffing spell or feature will end for the duration.
| Alchemy | 35 Solars | Skull Snail (Pet) | A cracked skull in which a slug from the deepest swamps of the Marsh Flats has taken residence, using the skull as a home. Dark tentacles protrude from the mouth and eyes of the skull that allow the creature to scuttle around. It has a habit of sticking to dark areas and is attracted to the scent of rot, which makes it quite the handy companion for locating dead bodies and burial sites. While it is afraid of combat and has no fighting ability, it will sniff out the stench of dead and eagerly seek it, alerting you to the presence of death or undeath.

| By touching a surface or a living creature you infect the area with toxic fungus, moss, or mushroom that instantly grows in a small patch on the surface you touched. If the surface is non living, the patch will remain for three post or until touched. If touched, the toxic growth will transfer itself onto the person who touched it, infecting them with the rot. Anyone who has touched the rot will grow the fungus which will then sap and drain their life for the next three post. | An axe formed from the materials gathered from a slain Bogaboo, comprised of sharpened bone and gnarled wood. The blade of the axe is made of a piece of fragmented bone, while the handle is made up of a Bogaboo's arm. It is imbued with an undead malevolence - be careful when using this item to kill an enemy, as the necromantic energy in the blade will cause the corpse to rise as a zombie that acts of its own will and is not loyal to you. If this axe deals the final blow against a living creature, that creature will rise as a zombie with its normal tool kit, but have no loyalty to you what so ever. This beetle can mimic it's owners voice perfectly and can be used to throw off trackers or enemies. The beetle, regardless of where it is, can make sounds that mimic your voice. The beetle can speak, but can not hold a conversation, and just says simple phrases to distract enemies. | Counts against Pet Cap

This arm can be used just like any normal arm but is completely indestructible. The bone can not be cut through and takes no damage. You can only have one of these grafts | Graft | 30 Solars | Witcher Pitcher Leaf | A tattoo of a leaf from the Witcher Pitcher plant found in the Marsh Flats. While dormant, this tattoo can detect magic, and will vibrate the closer it gets to rare and mysterious magic. It will ignore you and any of those you are frequently around, however if a new source of magic is detected, it will vibrate. Once per topic you can activate the tattoo to cause two large plant vines to sprout from the tattoo, directed at someone within arms reach of you. The vines will wrap around one of the targets limbs and will prevent that person from using that limb or moving away from you for one post. | Tattoo | 30 Solars | Caretaker's Shovel | A crusty, muddy shovel that really does not do much, but is good for digging holes and trenches.
