Despite appearances, Kamille seemed to be having some fun by pretending to be Mischief for a while. It was as if turning into a raven freed her inner gremlin side - not that she wasn't up to make scenes and stir some drama while she was not a raven, but... It was a different kind of drama.
Once the sound of steps gets their attention, Kamille quiets down, seeing as Mirabella quickly snaps out of her struggle with the raven to go tend to her original quest. For a hot moment, the Witch doesn't understand it was a tactic Fish was using to lure the maid away, so she worries the actual wizards if coming. After a moment of silence, it finally dawns on her that it was safe to come inside. Luckly, the girl left the door open, and so she lazily glided into the room, turning to her normal self once her feet found the soft rug.
"Now, that was fun!"
She chuckled at Fish's expression of disdain.
"Oh, don't look at me like that! Don't tell me that wasn't fun! What do you usually do for fun, Fish? I can't believe I never asked that before..."
As much as Fish is interested in the shinny baubles that he could sell later, Kamille was interesting in things a tad less shinning: papers. She sat on the huge, heavy arm chair at the wizard's desk and started to rummage through some papers, getting a quick read on letters and everything her greedy fingers could reach.

"Fish does not have fun, Fish has work to do." Fish coninutes their search of things to pilfer and sell. They focus on small and easy to transport items, things without signifying who they came from. Always a lot harder to sell signet rings or family crests, not a huge market for items that basically scream they were stolen.
They do flip through a few letters and papers, but toss them aside. Given their photographic memory, keeping letters isn't a high priority. Plus this wasn't about gathering intel seeing as Kamille didn't even get the right tower, this was just run of the mill larceny.
Eventually Fish's rifling through drawers come to an end, "It is time to leave. The distraction will only last so long before the maid returns. There is nothing else of use here."

".......What do you mean, you do not have fun?"
Kamille even forgets what she's doing there for a moment, raising her eyes to Fish. Times like that truly showed how Fish was never allowed to be a child - that they very much still were! And they were so nonchalant about it.
Why did it feel so wrong?
"Say you didn't have to worry about anything... About money, about safety, about... looking a certain way. What would you like to do?"
But Fish was right to state they needed to get out quickly, so she ran through a couple more papers. The Witch seemed to take some interest in what looked like a letter, furrowing her brow as she read it. A minute or two passes, as she falls into deep silence, only awakened by the distant sound of steps - no doubt the returning maid. Kamille quickly puts away the papers, apparently electing to take none, even though she seemed interested and took her time to read a few. Missing papers were a sign of someone messing around, and she didn't need to leave a trail and evidence behind. Let him think that the person who entered only wanted the shinnies Fish was taking.
"Let's go, Fish."
Once again, Kamille turned into a raven, her feathery cloak rustling up until her shape was much smaller, able to easily fly out of the open window. She looked behind to make sure Fish had followed her out of the tower.

"Fish does not worry about looking a certain way." They hop to the window sill and perch for a moment. Fish carves some grappling hook shaped notches in the wood and breaks a few planes of glass to make it look like a simple break in.
They leap from the ledge and let the wind take the free-flowing cape to slow their fall. Fish hits the roof below running and takes off to get out of sight of the tower. The running doesn't stop until Fish skitters into an alleyway, certain that they are in the clear.
"This is what Fish likes to do. Fish is good at Fish's job. There is no time for fun, there is always work to be done and if Fish doesn't have a job, then Fish should be preparing for the next one."

Perhaps she should be approaching it at a different angle...
Once they were both on the alleyway, covered by the shade, Kamille turned back to her normal self. The raid didn't fit her purpose of annoying Baram, but that was not to say she got out of there without something interesting...
"Oh, absolutely you're great at your job, Fish! Although I wonder..."
Fish was too smart for tricks, and she respected him enough not to trick them.
Not with lies, at least...
"I've read some research about how your performance can go up by having the habit of taking breaks to play games, you know... I can show you some of those researches... I can tell you that seems to be true, though. Allan always looks refreshed and more efficient at his work after a night out to play cards. He if known for picking people clean in the cards..."
Kamille was just vaguely aware of the tension between Allan and Fish, given she often gave more attention to Fish if they were both within sight.
"Either way, I had a lot of fun, thank you for keeping me company, Fish! Did you eat today already?"

"And he makes mistakes, Fish does not make mistakes. Fish does not have room to make mistakes." At this point in their emotional journey, they had yet to let go of that instinct.
Fish still very much believed themselves beholden to the life of crime they knew and nothing more. Any mistake could mean they were injured or failed a mission which meant they would get less work and it would spiral from there. Fish was not going to let that happen.
Even more emotinally developed, they hated to fail, but the motivation was different. Fish has a stern look as they double check their belongings to make sure nothing is forgotten, but they stop a moment.
Fish looks up and their feathers ruffle at the mention of food....The bird stares at Kamille a moment before hopping down ready to follow the witch to dinner.
